Great class. Extremely intelligent man and I learned a lot. He makes things very interesting and I had his class on Saturday afternoon and never missed a class. That has to tell you something about him !!!

His class is worth going to even if you aren't looking for a degree. I drive 30 miles one way to grcc and Mr. Henders was worth it. Not stuck up like alot of the professors are.

I loved this class. Everything was really interesting and fun. His papers were very fun and easy to do. I could not wait to go to his class. HE outlined assignements very well, and gave study guides for each chapter that helped greatly. Awesome Professor.

Interesting teacher. You learn a lot without really trying, his teaching style is great. Nice guy and funny too!

He can't draw or spell (which he admitted on the first day of class), but he has some good stories which allow you to better understand the material. He's also pretty flexible (he cancelled our class on Halloween night). He also grades the essays on tests rather easy.

MY favorite prof. by far. Very nice, and has an excellent teaching style, extremely easy to understand. If you show up to class, you will be fine. Besides, he makes it interesting so you will want to show up anyway!

its hard to explain his class. its not easy, but its not challenging. you have to listen to everything he says; he rarely goes off topic (and if he does its interesting). His tests are right off the study guides, and his study guides are exactly what talks about in class. very easy, if you show up to class. if not, you're screwed. fav prof so far.

Very energetic and interesting. Makes the material very easy to learn but the class is really special when he just talks about "real life". His class is a unique experience!

He is by far the best professor ever! he not only is interested in what he is talking about but in his students as well i never study for this class and i have a 98.9% he makes things so understandable! he is such a great teacher, but always show up to class because he hands out key terms, the key terms are exactly what your gonna see on the tests, o yeah and return your book you dont need it.

Mr Henders was one of the BEST teachers i have had. Not only does he have a unique and fun teaching style but he is very compasionate and understanding towards his students. I loved his class!

I absolutely LOVED this class! Mr. Henders is a great teacher & I really enjoyed his easy going, "real talk", approach to Ab. Psych. Doesn't use blackboard, but is very easy to get ahold of w/questions. Everything on tests are covered in class, so the book isn't really necessary. Overall A+ :)

He just doesn't teach the psychology. He teaches the "life".

I Just had Abnormal Psych from him and loved it!!! The class was mostly lecture (he could mix it up a little more) but he was interesting! There is no way to go to class and not learn something. He gets an A+ from me.

This was an awesome class! Mr. Henders has a lot of experience and is very helpful with every day life issues. The tests are reasonable, you just have to read your notes. I did fine w/o the book. Take home quizzes! :)

Mr. Henders is a great teacher! He genuinely cares about his students and goes out of his way to get to know them. He's SUCH a nice guy! His notes are fantastic because he gives real life, relatable info for everything, and it just makes sense! I wish I knew if he was teaching my next Psych class--I'd definitely pick him!

One of the best teachers ive ever had. lectures alot but makes everything very clear and easy to understand. not alot of homework. Takes the time to tell you whats on each test. i definitely recommend taking this class. plus he makes you cookies at the end!

An amazing proffesor. He really tried to get the class interactive in discussion or whatever we were learning that day and it really helped in remembering for the finals. Quizzes and assignments are really easy and take home, the only thing closed book and timed is final and midterm. Easy and fun proffesor!

VERY understanding. i literally missed his first 6 or 8 class periods cuz i took too many classes at once and he let me make everything up. His quizzes are all take home so there should be no reason to not get an A!his exams are pretty easy. WONDERFUL TEACHER and by far the BEST! like he says "He's not there to ruin your life"

Great Person to have as a teacher. You will love this class. If you come to class and pay attention you will get a good grade. He has a very helpful way of teaching. I would take more classes with Mr.Henders if he taught the other classes I needed to take.

Lectures every class up until the tests. Quizzes & assignments are open-note and online. Easy class if you pay attention and do your work. Made me enjoy a subject I was not looking forward too (:

There's not a bettter teacher out there for this subject. Makes class very interesting and easy, is crystal clear with what he's looking for. His homemade cookies are awesome and he talks a lot about real life situations. Always willing to help. He knows what he is talking about, very smart and understanding. Not strict at ALL!

I really liked this guy. He really cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. Very laid back, almost to laid back for me, but I still very much enjoyed the discussions.

As long as you don't mind someone just talking the whole time, he's a good teacher. But he's horrible if you are hands on and need visual aids for help. And its dumb because he does quizzes after every class period so you have to pay attention to every detail and take good notes

Hands down the best teacher I've ever had in my entire college career. Henders presents the material in a way that makes it easy to retain. And he's also a pretty funny guy. Definetly would recommend taking his class!

You will learn things in this class that you will NEVER learn anywhere else! Great teacher, and even better when he talks about real life issues. He is pretty easy going and can be funny when you don't expect it. Taking this class has helped me see many things in life more clearly.

He does a nice job making requirements known. I took a 3 hour lecture with him and he never once went the full 3. Great sense of humor.

Mr Henders, while bearing good intentions, is probably one of the most intellectually defunct and uneducated professors I have ever come across. I completely understand that its a Community College, however, the lack of his profundity is astounding to say the least.

Prof Henders is 100% in my list of top 5 profs. Genuinely cares about his students successwell being, is very friendly, and always willing to help. Short quizzes based on lectures occasionally, he warns you when they are though & are super easy. Mostly all lecture, but never boring. Midtermexam are both online, and easy. Would take again!

At the beginning of the semester he put me to sleep a few times. As you get to know him and he warms up to the class he is truly amazing. He cares so much about the subject he teaches and one of my favorite prof's at grcc. Take lots of notes and make sure to listen clearly. No homework other than psych labs, a few written assignments and exams.

Awesome professor! Henders was probably the best professor I've had at GRCC. He makes class so interesting, and his lectures are extremely relatable. He encourages the class to think differently, and he is very laid back. There was only one paper, and it was easy. The tests are online and 25 questions. Pretty straight forward. Loved this professor.

He is helpful if you ask. Class can be supper boring if you are not into psychology. It can be interesting. An essay A if you participate and he sees that you are willing to be there. Not a hard grader. I would recommend it. He is not very much my learning style but I think he is good.

I took this class during summer semester, very easy. Quizzes every week on lecture and text book material. Quizzes are on key terms, know them. Relates the majority of the material to his personal life. His lectures don't follow the book but he informs you about it off the bat. Laid back professor, easy grader.

He is great class was normally out early which is great. Lectures were almost always intriguing he knows how to keep attention. Funny and helpful. Best professor!

By far my favorite professor and teacher that I've had. He is very funny and entertaining which keeps me always paying attention to him. Some people say that he lectures about his own personal stuff, but he just gives a lot of real life examples which will help you with the final exam a ton. Overall, I loved him and his class!

This dude is rad! I loved this class. Although the class could get boring based on the lectures, he normally let us out early and was overall pretty understanding. The work was not difficult, as long as you completed it there was no issue. He is a nice, funny guy. He scribbles on the board but just follow along and you'll be fine. Overall great!

Professor Henders is awesome. Be sure to give yourself enough time to do your paper and post tests. He gives you lots of time to get it done, but you do not want to slack. The post tests are difficult, but you can easily get an A if you try. Overall, he's a cool teacher and really cares for his pupils. Take good notes and make flash cards.

Professor Henders is an awesome teacher and I highly recommend taking his class. The class can be kind of long and boring, but he tries to make it interesting and weave in personal stories. He is very understanding if you have personal issues and fall behind a little and will even help you out. Post tests and final were pretty easy if prepared.

Bill Henders has a dry, off-brand and zany sense of humor and I found his lectures very entertaining and engaging. He is a self-acclaimed tangent-man and it was always fun to see him acknowledge his tangents and then try to get back on the beaten path. He answered questions and always responded promptly to emails. I enjoyed the class tremendously

I loved Prof. Henders!! Although he tends to go off on a ramble with his lectures, he makes sure to let you know what you need to know and study for the texts'. The test are fairly easy with common sense and the notes he provided each class. If he skips some stuff on the notes then go to your chapters in your book. Down to earth and inspiring prof

If you are a visual learner and prefer organized lectures i would not recommend. His lectures are interesting but gets off topic frequently. Hes one of the chiller professor Ive hat at cc.

One of the best teachers Ive ever had at grcc. He truly cares about his students and Ive never felt more included in a lecture class before. He has a way of keeping your attention for 3 hours straight lecturing and its truly incredible. This is a great teacher, hes truly understanding and is there to help you succeed

Best teacher Ive had. I had him for a night class and he was great. He likes to do pop quizzes so be ready for them but theyre normally short. Great guy made class fun.

This professor was great! He really puts his heart and soul into his lectures! You can tell he is passionate about teaching Psychology! Take good notes and you will pass the pop quizzes! Study hard for the final as it is known to be difficult. Very easy going and laid back! Open to discussing just about anything! Would so take this class again!

I really enjoyed this class, he literally gives you every single answer that will be on the final. as long as you pay attention, take notes and study a little you shouldn't have a problem. I got 100% on the final.

While Psychology wasnt my favorite class to take, Mr. Henders made it enjoyable. His lectures are very interesting and he makes the subject matter as easy as possible to understand. He was extremely clear on grading, what was expected, and what you needed to do to pass. He also gave multiple chances for extra credit.

I had no trouble passing his class. He can get a bit boring and rant on about random stuff, but he's also a pretty lenient grader. He gives good extra credit opportunities, which is nice and getting good grades is not that hard

I loved professor Henders! Best class I have taken so far. If youre interested in psychology then youll love his lectures. His teaching method is very engaging. If you do not find your self interested by psychology you might not find it as Intriguing but he explains what you need to know very clearly to pass this class.

Great hybrid class for COVID. Not overbearing & rarely any assignments besides book chapter for the week & test - can take 3 attempts which is amazing for getting the best grade! Interesting lectures, has experience in clinical psychology & gives info for managing life as well as test material. No busy work allows for focus on material. Loved him!!

Mr. Henders is an amazing professor. I came into this class thinking it was going to be a challenge and a struggle. That was not the case at all. He was easy to follow with his lectures and he kept my interest with what he talked about. I had some health issues during the semester and he showed compassion and was very understanding.

Professor Henders is a great person and always has stories to tell, his class is not very complicated and I learned a decent amount. If you really want to dig deep into psych terms I would not recommend him, he is more laid back in this way.

I was not excited about this class but I had a great time. Like others have said, he can ramble but I think it adds to the quality of content. He is a very caring instructor and very knowledgeable. He did not have a ton of things to be graded on for the class so it is important not to skip anything. I would take a class from him again.

Hender's was great! The class was lecture heavy but everything outside of class was simple. Reading quizzes done online and at home from the textbook, 10 in-class quizzes, and one essay. The directions for everything are given at the beginning of the semester. Take notes! Super light homework each week. Would 100% recommend Hender's.

Prof. Henders is a very kind and genuine person. His class is VERY lecture-heavy, which could be very boring at times. His class is heavily based on the textbook, and you will have a reading quiz for each of the 9 chapters completed over the semester. He does In class quizzes ever so often, basically a pop quiz on that days lecture.

Professor Henders is engaging in lectures, though the material can get a bit dry at times. Take good notes, use the textbook, and try unstuckstudy to streamline your study prep. The course has manageable assignments and multiple quiz attempts. I'd recommend this class for psych fans.
