Great, nice teacher. However, spends most of class time asking the class questions and everyone just talks about their personal experiences. Assigns kinda dry readings. Only 2 tests and a few relatively easy papers. Don't have to work too hard. Just don't expect clear notes; you have to read fot the tests.
He seems eager to help and seems like a laid back guy, but at the same time while he was lecturing i felt like charlie brown. he just drones on and on, with eccentric hand gestures and a monotone voice. Its hard to pay attention

be prepared to teach him more then he will teach you
He is such a nice person.. easy going & the course requirements are easy... The only sucky thing is that his class tends to be boooring... But it def dosent take much to get an A.
lovely -have him. I did.
he's such a sweet nice man. gives two chances for extra credit which is really helpful. tests aren't hard just take notes and do the readings.
Cute little guy, obviously very interested in what he is teaching us. Really helpful and approachable. I go to class occasionally and have gotten A's on both tests we've had so far. Encourages class discussion (a rare thing in a 150 student lecture at Albany).
Such a great professor, Very interested in what he teaches, and he is very approachable. Tests might seem a bit tricky, but its all in the notes and articles. He makes the lectures very interesting and always shows video clips, or documentaries of some sort rather than hold a full class lecture =) Hes an Overall a great Professor!
Nice guy, but constantly worried about offending women and minorities. Tough grader, allows re-writes. Be sure to write on topics he agrees with (liberal we can't we all just get along BS) Classes get a bit dry, promotes discussions (a little too much for my taste bc it's all uneducated off topic student rants)a bunch of movies 4 a once a wk class
Wasn't very interested in class before taking it, but he obviously loves his job and loves teaching, which makes the class both interesting and fun! It's a lot of class discussion. Multiple choice tests. He's animated and I really enjoy the class!
Bill Husson is my idol. No joke. If i'm as cool as this man when I grow up, my life will be complete.
best teacher ive had in my four years at alb. i took his children and media and theories of media classes and i loved them both. really clear on whats on tests and short papers, watch a lot of movies/clips. go to class, read the texts before test and you'll get a good grade. Def take him if you get a chance!
great teacher, always there to help out his students- you have to read the text books but tests are really easy if you read. he's a great guy but grades the papers harshly
Very interested in what he's teaching. If you go to class and keep up with the readings, it's an easy A. Take this class if you need to fill a Gen Ed.
Such a sweetie. I love him. Very dryyyyyyy but it's bearable since he is such a nice guy and the material is pretty interesting.
Really likes what he teaches and shows a lot of documentaris that if you actually pay attention are pretty interesting. the tests can be tricky but he is willing to curve tests and gives 3 extra credits that can bring you up a whole level grade if you do them all. Just do the readings and take good notes and the class should go pretty good
great professor. can get a little boring but he loves what he is teaching. attendance is not mandatory but if you go to class and take good notes, do all the assigned readings, you'll get a good grade. also gives 3 extra credits throughout the semester.
This class was an elective but i found the first test very hard. No Curve, everyone did bad... there is extra credit. He tries to spice up class with movies that are sort of entertaining and sort of off topic. He's a nice guy though, but that dosen't help my grade.
This class was the most boring class i have ever taken in my life. If it wasn't for the short movies he plays, I would almost always be asleep. He's a nice guy however. But the readings are either long or short, and almost always boring. I don't recomment this class.
hes a little boring but theres no textbook. the articles are easy, as are the tests are long as you take good class notes. there are also 3 chances for extra credit
i loved his class. g-pa husson is the best! you could really tell he loves what he teaches, and it makes learning about it that much easier. his tests were really easy. easy A
He's funny in a dorky way. Easy class because the extra credits will bump you up a full letter grade. If you can't do well in his class, you need to go back to high school.
i took language and social action. he's a sweet man and definitely would help you if you were confused and went to his office hours. the extra credits are easy and incredibly helpful as long as you meet the requirements. volunteer in class and he'll love you. i got a good grade even though i didn't completely deserve it.
THIS GUY IS AWESOME!
I took com 100 with William Husson and he was always available to receive me after class, to answer my emails and help me in everything. He is always very clear and provides easy understandable definition. He is also very educated and he has a great sense of humor. I recommend this class to everyone .William Husson is absolutely awesome
this class is extremely boring...it's really hard to pay attention. you need to go to class in order to do well on the tests. He shows a lot of useless films and has a lot of boring discussions. Have fun! he does have a nice bod though ;]
Can be interesting and boring at times. Take notes because you will be tested. Watches various movies. REAd the book and study definitions because they will be on the test. Not too bad and gives extra credit but you have to work for it.
Professor Husson is a very sweet man with a good sense of humor. He's willing to meet with kids to discuss any concerns and is open to their opinions in class. He offers a bunch of extra credit to bump your grade, and none is really that hard. The class is widely based on the two books required, so make sure you read the assigned pages.
This class is extremely boring. Attendance isn't required, but the tests are 50% on lecture, so its evident that you go. The other 50% is from the textbook, so you must read that. Its not a hard class, as long as you study, but its boring
The class is boring most of the time. He shows a lot of videos which you aren't tested on. DO all 3 extra credit assignments!! It will help when you get your final grade. You have to really study hard for the tests if you want to do well.
Husson is extremely boring!! Shows alot of videos which is better than listening to him speaking. Tests were fair, but you need to read the assigned readings in order to pass. Extra Credits are really helpful, do them!!!
Very nice and funny professor but the class is pretty boring. Shows a lot of video material to break up the class. Exams are fairly easy if you study and extra credit opportunities are provided. Good way to get a decent grade on a General Education course.
Nice guy, but clueless. Seems shy or timid, which is the opposite of what a professor should be. Seemingly knowledgeable, but tough to tell. Lectures are a tedious struggle
Good for an A. Nice guy, but clueless. Seems shy or timid, which is the opposite of what a professor should be. Seemingly knowledgeable, but tough to tell. Lectures are a tedious struggle.
Took b/c i needed credits. Nice guy. Found course material interesting. Some say lectures are boring, but if you pay attn. & take notes, it goes quick. Likes to show videos in class(arent tested on them though) Attendance isnt mandatory, but lectures are 50% of test material. Highly suggest doing extra credits, adds 6 points to final grade!
Communication. Tests are okay.. questions are from lecture slides, textbooks, video. I personally didn't like it but if you go to class and read textbook, u'll get an A
Prof husson might come off as a push-over, but it's because he's a laid back and relaxed individual, interested in the thoughts of his students, and he isn't looking to give anyone a hard time.He is very into the material he teaches, and he is textbook centered, but he brings the material presented in the textbook and jazzes it up quite well.Nice guy
This class is def doable. His lectures can be kinda boring, it's hard to stay focus, but go because a he tests on a portion of the notes, and the textbook so read! He did half his tests based on textbook and the other on notes. Gives extra credit, really nice guys overall. Decent class.
I'm a communication major and I thank God thank I Dr. Husson taught my Language and Social Action class! Reading the book helped me, I got an A. What really makes the grades however, is the extra credit, I did all four assginments for a total of EIGHT points ADDED TO MY FINAL GRADE! If you need a Gen Ed, you should definately take this course.
Great professor I loved his class and learned alot from it. If your not interested in this class dont take it, because you may not do well.
Horrible teacher. Holds a 3 hour class with no break and uses irrelevant movies to portray his ideas. 30 seconds may pertain to the topic but well watch 20 min of a movie
Ridiculously boring if you aren't interested in the topic. Need to go to class because literally half the test is based on what he rambles about in class. Must read the textbook because that is the other half of the test. Grade is based on 3 tests, but have easy extra credit assignments that add a lot of points.
horrible class. boring, a lot of lecture is useless. The readings in the textbook has little to do with what is being lectured in class. Do not take this class for a gen- ed
This guy is extremely boring and it is definitely hard to pay attention in class. It sucks because 50% of the test q's are from lectures. His extra credits save your grade. Hopefully you guys enjoy his class more than I did.
His grading policy and technique used seems very unfair while writing papers. He can honestly go somewhere with his opinions on grades. This is the only reason why I dislike subjective classes because how dare you critique and grade someone's essay based on your own opinion especially when classmates rave about your writing in discussion sections
whoever posted before me that they think he is a horrible essay grader is correct. His subjective grading technique is ridiculous, especially because he does not tell you specifically what he wants. He says to express your opinion in an essay and then grades against you for it. beware of this professor.
I dont know how to put this nicely so I won't. Prof. Husson is an idiot. This class was awful. You'll learn the meaning of jargon extremely well because the entire class is subjective information.
Listening to him talk is torture. He is so wordy its unbelievable. You will want to stab your eye while taking his notes in class. Grade is based on 3 tests and 4 extra credit assmnts. Test are 50% lecture notes and 50% book. Extra credit is to write a 750 word response to an article then 3 350 word responses to other students articles. It sucks.
This class is required to get into the communication major. I took this class with him 3 times online to get the grade I needed. His grading is so hard. He wants you to provide your own life experiences but then says that it doesn't apply. He is the only professor who teaches this class. Maybe if I took him in person it would've been different.
took intro to comp class is one of the largest i have ever taken, too large but overall the class is easy and the professor is nice, do your reading and extra credit and passin should be a breeze
I had him for my film persausion class and ACOM 100. Film class is somewhat easy, 2 tests, 3 papers... 2 of them pass/fail grade. We just watched movies all day. ACOM 100 was a slight challenge... reading the text is 100% necessary.. he also gives opportunity for 10 pts extra credit. Tests = half txt and half lecture
Professor Husson is a great professor and a very personable guy. In his larger classes you must do some of the work on your own, but in his smaller classes you will interact and learn a lot. Take advantage of the extra credit!
As much as he is boring if you have someone to talk through class with or bring a computer its not so horrible. He will repeat things so that you can get all of the essential things in notes. Also if you get notes from other people its really unnecessary to show up to every class. He gives extra credit which is super easy. Overall easy if you read.
ACOM101 in the fall was a little challenging for me and i got a c+ and had to retake it this summer to get into the department and if your not any good in test you should take it in the summer is soo easy and I got an A-. His a great proffer and if you go to him for help his will do as best as he can.
Great guy, but the lecture isn't very exciting. He's very helpful and will slow down or repeat himself if need be. His tests are challenging, even though the course material seems self explanatory. Even though it seems like an easy course, you will definitely need the textbook and to pay close attention in class (not just copy lecture notes!)
Professor Husson is awesome! A tad dry in lecture but gives easy extra credit assignments. Extra credit can add 12 points to your final grade. Also, he puts a curve on his exam grades. If you go to class, take notes and read you will pass with flying colors :)
Professor Husson was a great professor! I took this course online over the summer and received an A. This was my most enjoyable summer course that I have ever taken online. This class was easy to understand and we had the same assignment every week so it was easy to follow along. As long as you do the work and put in effort, you will earn an A!
Dr. Husson is a great professor. He is all about helping his students succeed and is very easy to talk to. For COM100 literally just read the chapter and memorize the terms and you will get an A. One of the easiest classes I've taken here.
Professor Husson is amazing! lectures are interesting and he gives great examples. Take notes and do all the extra credits and you will for sure receive an A. It is a huge lecture so attendance is not mandatory, he only has 3 tests for the semester. NO quizzes but 4 extra credits that will add to a total of 8 points on your FINAL GRADE!!!
This class was very informative. Husson tries to keep the lecture interesting by showing video clips. For the course you actually have to go class AND read the book to pass. half the test questions are right off your lecture notes, the other half is from the text book. Easy class.
This class is very boring! You have to attend class because he uses a projector and doesn't use blackboard much... I felt like falling asleep everyday. He shows a short video almost every class. The test are difficult if you don't read the book and listen to lectures attentively
I don't understand why people don't like him. I did his extra credit and I have a feeling I am going to do well in the class. Come to class though. Barely uses blackboard and class notes are 50% of tests. I liked this class a lot.
He is a good teacher but the class is very boring. I received a B in the class.
Really nice and friendly guy give your 4 extra credits that can boost your final rade a half letter grade. boring class . You have 2 MAKE INDEX CARDS with mad definitions every exam i would have least 100 definitions. and he takes a lott of information from lecture time and puts it on the exams so TAKE NOTES PAY ATTENTION DON'T SHAFT YOURSELF
Buy the textbook! You have to read the chapters before tests because he doesn't go over everything in class. It is a really easy class. Just do the extra credit and you will pass with a high grade.
He seems like a nice guy, but lectures are long and boring. Even if you don't pay attention the whole time, go to class. His tests are separated into lecture info and book info. Buy the book and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT.
Boring lectures, although he shows a lot of videos (a lot of Seinfeld). Very nice guy, though, and a fair grader. Tests come from lecture material and textbook, so read the chapters, memorize the definitions, and write down lecture notes and you'll be fine. Easy!
Nice guy, fair grader. LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE BEN STEIN.
Tests come from lectures and even though he posts notes online still go to class (trust me), read the text, memorize the definitions, and write down lecture notes then you'll be fine. The lectures are boring, but he's such a nice guy.
ITS AN EXTREMELY BORING CLASS. Always falling asleep, although for me the tests where pretty easy.
This class is boring but it is easy we had 5 extra cridets ,3 test and a quiz for our finally as long as u do the readings and come to class you will be fine got an A .
Gives crazy extra credit! There are 5 super easy 800 word extra credit papers that you have the option to do. You can gain up to 36 points that get added to your overall exam point total! As long as you get the major ideas in the textbook and lecture slides and do the extra credit it's an easy A!
Even though the classes are long, the class overall is easy. Great course to take to pass and get an easy A. Shows videos and all his slides are online.
He's a nice professor, enjoys teaching. Tests based on terms and topics from textbook and information from slides. When he plays a video in class, pay attention because it will be on the test. Extra credits are fair, 400-800 words on articles and textbook. Most concepts are common sense but still need to study at least two nights prior to test.
This was by far the best and most interesting class I have taken! I wish every professor was like Husson! The readings were relevant and so interesting to our daily life, the work was extremely easy and he never even took a point off for any of my assignments. I wish I could take many more classes with him!
Husson was such a nice guy but his lectures were dry. Attendance is mandatory because his lectures are on the test. Be prepared to read the textbook and always do the extra credit assignments!!!!
Husson is a nice guy but his lectures put me to sleep. Lectures are important because there are questions on the exam from the examples he uses in class. Always read the textbook even though half the information you'll end up studying isn't on the exam. Wouldn't recommend.
You will need to read the chapter thoroughly to pass the tests. His lectures can get lengthy and boring but he does play videos which are helpful and on the tests. Most of the questions on the test are definitions. The class will look easy at first until you take the exams.
Worst Professor at UAlbany. Teaches Communications 100, but isn't a good communicator, Ironic? Dry, boring, useless lectures. 50% of test material is untaught/not in the book meaning that you have to use your intuition on random vocab that you've never seen. Don't take, not worth it. I dropped it half way because I couldn't stand it (I had a B+)
Terrible lectures, shushes the class through the microphone, no assignments besides 4 tests and extra credits. Easy class, doesn't ale attendance
He's a good professor but I honestly couldn't go to class and pay attention. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. READ THE TEXTBOOK. 4 exams and 5 extra credit papers. By not going to class, you miss the videos he shows that may be on the exam but once you read his slides on blackboard you'll be fine
There are only 5 grades throughout the semester (the 5 exams), so it's very easy for your grade to drop hard. Offers a lot of extra credit that doesn't take a lot of time to do. Rambles a lot and can be hard to pay attention to for the entire class.
When he tells you the test is 50% lecture, 50% textbook, listen to him. Tests are fair, 100 questions each. 5 extra credits worth 8 points each for possible 40 points added to the 400 total exam points for the course. No attendance and he posts lecture slides, but he shows videos in class that could be on the exam and says important things.
Look at the lecture slides and the key terms in the textbook for the chapters you're being tested on. It's almost impossible to do bad in this class if you do this and the extra credit. Even if you're not a good test taker, the extra credit could bring you up a full letter grade. Very helpful professor, wants to see students do well!
Class is super easy. Prof Husson is just so boring, by the end of the semester you'll be struggling to pay attention/finding motivation to show up. Overall, though, definitely a great class to take for some easy credit. Make sure you buy and read the textbook: tests are 50% lecture, 50% textbook. Attendance is important.
The class can get boring, but he is very informative and tries to make it relatable. He posts all of his powerpoints online. Learn the textbook's vocab. His tests are half-lecture, half-textbook. If you do all 5 extra credit essays (they are not hard), you'll go up a whole letter grade. He curves tests & the extra credit is the only written work.
His lectures are so incredibly boring that they literally caused me pain. The 3 tests cover everything in class plus 4 chapters of a text book. Easy concepts to understand but there is so much material. He is a nice guy but over complicates everything and makes some things very hard to understand. He provides extra credit opportunities. Do them!!
Husson is very boring and not very good at communication for a communications professor. The class isn't particularly hard- 3 tests and 5 extra credit assignments. He posts everything on black board so going to class really isn't necessary.
Means well as a professor but lectures are boring. You have to go to class and get clicker questions correct or else you don't get credit which is unfair. Clicker questions should be counted regardless of if you get them correct or not. Only work there is are extra credit papers which aren't bad at all. Tests aren't too hard if you study.
not the best bit not the worst
Lectures are boring and hard to pay attention in but slides are posted on blackboard which is helpful. Don't skip class or you'll miss out on clicker points which are just dumb to miss. Do all the extra credits and spend a little bit of time looking over the slides and textbooks and you'll do fine. As long as you put in a little effort you'll pass.
Material is interesting but he's a bit boring. Tests are equally based on textbook and lecture so it's important to at least go over definitions and the questions at the end of each chapter in the textbook. Show up to class for the clicker questions. Extra credit can go a long way so do all of them. Not too hard if you study.
He's a solid professor teaching one of the easiest courses. There's not much more a student can ask for. The course work is extremely basic and he offers extra credit that can potentially boost your grade by a whole letter. It's harder to not get at least a B than it is to get lower than a B. Show up and you'll do great. I recommend.
Husson loves what he does and it's clear during his lectures. The only thing is, the class can be pretty boring. This class wasn't hard at all. Just study for the tests and do the extra credit essays and you'll get at least a B. Overall, I say take the class to boost your GPA.
He offered a lot of extra credit. But his lectures are so boring. You have to read the textbook if you expect to pass any exam he gives. You also need to go to class to do clickers because your grade is made up of only clickers and exams. Not a bad guy, but would not recommend this class unless you HAVE to take it.
An expert one can learn a lot from if one pays attention. It's a large class 300 plus and it can be very distracting. Dr. Husson is very nice man, lectures can get long but it is interesting. There is great extra credit work which can really boost your grade --a LOT. 4 Tests r not easy, you MUST do all the reading and study to do well.
Nice guy, but his lectures are super dry and dull and don't really make a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things. Clicker questions and extra credit are great, but you need to ace the exams if you want to pass. I wouldn't take this class unless you have to.
Dr. Husson is adorable. He's an older dude, but he runs up and down the lecture hall to answer questions from students in the back rows. Lectures are long and not always interesting, so it's easy to get distracted. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities and you're sure to pass! He can also help with internships. Get to know him!
I come to class high everyday its the easiest class ever. You dont have to pay attention at all and the clicker question answers are on the slides so its impossible to get them wrong. The tests are easy too and theyre common sense. This class is an easy A.
Prepare to be bored out of your mind every class. Lectures are dry and about useless concepts. Tests are all vocab based. Only good thing is the extra credit essays that can help boast your grade.
Husson as a guy is very nice, but his class is dull and boring, like most large lectures. The extra credit and clicker questions boost your grade but the beef of it is your 4 exams. Must read the textbook to pass. Make your exams count, if you bomb even just one it will come back to bite you, theyre not easy you have to study for them.
Professor Husson is the sweetest guy and knows what he's talking about. Lectures are about relevant topics to everyday life and keeps class involved with easy clicker questions. Tests are easy and common sense, just need to review vocab. Such a simple class that I recommend taking, don't know what other people can complain about.
Professor Husson is easy-going and I feel relaxed in his class. If I could recommend one thing to future students it would be to DO ALL OF THE EXTRA CREDITS! I did average on the exams but doing the five mini-papers really brought my grade up. Also, textbook reading truly will boost your performance on the exams.
Be prepared to be bored out of your mind. Lectures are long and dry. Dont waste your time doing the textbook readings only study the vocab for those chapters. Tests are vocab heavy.
Professor Husson is the only ACOM100 teacher at UAlbany so if you need to take this class you will have him! Your grade is based on four tests and he also offers five extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. The extra credits require some time and effort but are definitely worth doing. He is super understanding and enthusiastic!
I love how he creates meaningful discussions in the class. He genuinely wants to understand his students and their thoughts on different concepts. He shows movie clips in his classes which can be good examples of what youre learning. I also got a kick out of watching him sprint up the stairs to answer students questions (requires Iclicker).
iClicker questions every lecture; course material is well explained. The TEXTBOOK IS USED more on exams than with in-class lectures. Without the textbook, it could have an impact on your test grades. Offers many extra credit assignments, guidelines for those don't change. You can tell that he loves teaching comm when he runs around during class.
Nice guy, and is clear and concise with his explanations. Assignments are very manageable and exams can be somewhat difficult, but if the assigned readings and previous assignments were done it's easy to get a good grade. Makes the content understandable. Also gives extra credit assignments which is nice
He isn't a mean guy, but his COM100 class is terrible. He likes to hush into the microphone loudly and it is the most obnoxious thing ever. Be prepared to hear "etc, etc" after every sentence he says. His tests are very hard even if you read the textbook, as he likes to trick you. Not accessible out of class, You won't learn anything.
This is a basically do it yourself class. Husson is a good guy, and understanding. Get ready to do a bunch of discussion boards though, and make sure you buy the textbook. I learned a lot and found the class very interesting! I would definitely take him again, but I wish I had been in person and not online due to COVID.
If you are taking ACOM100 then he is a easy grader. Other classes he is tough with grading and does not give much extra credits. Exams are tough too. Guess he is just going easy with ACOM100.
Perhaps in person this proff is better but his learning modules are very confusing to try and use as exam prep and his exams are very difficult. The discussion boards feel like you have one literally every other day but he does offer extra credit which is good. If youre taking this as an elective I would look for other options bc its not an easy A.
easy class
This professor is one of the worst I've ever had. The levels of inflexibility and amount of work he expects you to do for a 100 lvl class, on top of his giant ego, made this class entirely unenjoyable. Id never take another class with him if it were the only thing between me and graduatinf.
When I took this class, it was asynchronous. If you take good notes, tests and quizzes are an easy A. There were modules due 2-3x a week, but the content was straightforward. I will admit that the workload is a bit heavy, and I wouldn't recommend doing it at the last minute. There are 3 EC opportunities; take advantage! Overall, an easy A.
He has very boring lectures and will constantly say folks 7 billion times.
He is an amazing teacher , he does talk quite a lot in his lectures but 99.9% of the time you don't really have to listen to him . Attendance is not mandatory he does not take it and even though you miss his class he posts what he says in his lectures on blackboard. The work is common sense but his exams will be the death of you.
Good Professor overall. A bit long on the lecture side but a relatively easy course overall. He goes out of his way to try and make the class enjoyable and easy.
Make sure you rent textbook to get access to vocab in the chapters. Tests make up of a lot of vocab, which makes this class easy if you do study the vocab the night before. He also posts a summary of the lecture which are helpful for test. Make sure you do the extra credit. Annoying comments after every class but are easy.
Prof Husson was mediocre. He can be very boring as he just lectures, but the class wasn't hard. 3 extra credit essays worth 15 pts each and they're easy. His tests are difficult if you don't read both the notes, textbook, and learning modules. Course comment due after each class, but it's an easy 5 points. 3 tests 1 quiz no midterm or final.
Do not take his online course. Grades you extremely hard on literal discussion posts. I never got anything higher than an 8/10 on a discussion board. Homework is due every other day. Each homework assignment is very tedious and if it's not what he wants your grade will reflect it. OH also he grades you on your responses to each classmate. Yup never
This professor must think we go to Harvard with the amount of work he gives for a level 100 course. Good luck passing tests if you do not memorize the textbook and all of his slides. There is homework almost every single day. The lectures are boring. Husson is also an extremely tough grader. Once again he thinks this is Harvard.
lectures are very tough to follow. he says a lot of non-sense. he does give extra credit which is nice but tests are a must-do well to do well in the class
If you don't go to class it is hard to pass. The lectures are boring sometimes and packed w a lot of info. There is an assignment after every class, don't miss those or it will affect your grade dramatically. READ THE TEXTBOOK CHAPTERS FOR THE TESTS. The tests are difficult
I knew people that passed his tests because of "common sense" and others that struggled because they didn't read the notes and textbook. Extra credit came in handy and they were pretty simple so it boosted my grade. The lectures were boring so I didn't go to a few classes but the class was so big he wouldn't notice. Good luck getting ahold of him.
You can skip lecture since he posts everything on blackboard and it's kinda boring, I skipped and got A. Tests are mostly common sense just need to know some terms, if you do all 3 (easy) extra credits they add 10pts to your average, etc. so it's easy. I got 70's on tests but 95 as overall average since the extra credit and homework adds so much.
Professor Husson is good at lecturing and his class is very easy. I barely went to class but got an A because he post everything on blackboard. The discussion posts are tedious but easy and help your grade a lot. The test can be difficult if you don't study but doing the extra credit will ensure your grade stays up.
Lectures can be boring, never paid attention to them because all his lectures are posted on blackboard. Short essay after each class which is really easy, and very helpful for the tests. People say his tests are hard, but they are really not if you read his modules and the textbook chapters, you just have to put in a little work. A+ w/o xtra credit
I only showed up to his class 3 times (We had 3 exams) and got to skip the last quiz and still got an A. So easy if you can do quick memorization. Highly recommend for a gen ed. Easiest class ever!
Easy class if you pay attention, attendance not mandatory so if you can learn of his slides you can do that instead. Homework every week twice a week. Test are about 17% so make sure you do good. Gives 3 easy extra credit assignments that dont take long and help a lot. Lectures are extremely boring.
Lectures were boring but I went to them anyways. Tests are heavily influenced on textbook readings. Easy course for gen ed/ communications credit, but the content was so basic and foundational that I found myself having trouble being interested in it. Professor does not engage with students during the lecture much.
Professor Husson can be a bit boring at times. He often drags on topics for an unnecessarily long time. Other than this, the class is fairly easy. The tests are straight out of the notes and textbook, and Professor Husson gives 3 extra credit essays which can boost your grade TREMENDOUSLY. He is a good professor and is passionate about his teaching
Very easy course. If you bomb a test the extra credit essays that are available to do will significantly boost your grade. Very easy homework assignments as well, it's mostly just giving your opinion on a video or topic. The textbook is only for tests so I recommend just borrowing it from a friend before the test. Don't waste your money.
This guy is the goat
This Class is easy to understand and easy pass. As long as you do the course comment and the extra credit your good. I reckon I could get a higher grade if my dumb a** didn't forgot about the last extra credit.
Bought the textbook + never opened it. Never went to class, except for test days, because attendance wasn't mandatory. He seemed nice but his lectures were boring. Homework was easy, didn't take long at all, and there were several extra credit opportunities that you should take advantage of. Test questions were common sense basically
The tests are hard whether you read the textbook or not but he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and I made sure to make good use of it. Def recommend this class for an elective.
His class is pretty easy and the homework is light and the tests aren't that hard. He gives 3 extra credit assignments that also aren't so difficult. It definitely helped me bring up my grade. His lectures are really boring and slow. Thats his only downfall. He required a textbook but I didn't buy it bc it was too expensive. I survived without it.
You have to submit 2 comments per week of a minimum of 150 words each. So the workload is minimal. 3 Exams and one Final Quiz. All answers can be found in the lecture slides or in the course book. There are about 4 extra credit opportunities that count A LOT, so even if you do bad on the tests, you can definitely make up for your grade. Easy A
Only went to a few classes, but did the extra credit. The tests are easy if you study a little beforehand.
It was online but the class was easy and even though their were two assignments a week they were short and hard to not get a 100%. three exams and are hard if u dont read every word of the notes
easy class with little work. the tests were the hardest part, but if you have the textbook it is way easier. boring lectures but a very nice man and a lenient grader. easy A if you do the extra credit
Their is two assignments a week one due on Wednesday and one due on Friday. The homework is just watching a 3 minute video then writing 150 words about how it relates to the tops in the folder, very easy. I would say do every extra credit assignment just incase you flunk a exam. Exams content are super specific.
Was an asynchronous class. I quite liked it. Homework due every Wed and Friday. He'd post an intro video, then information to read. Then you'd answer a question with a min of 150 words. Easy, but I also learned a lot. He also seems like a really nice guy. Would take again.
Async class that was easy. Exams were based on the notes and textbook ch. but I didn't buy the textbook and found the 3rd edition for free which worked just as good. 2 assignments due every week and it was easy. Overall it was an easy class and do the extra credit (500 words) it helps a lot.
I really enjoyed this online class. His modules are very clear and honestly if you pay attention to those, you will do fine on the assignments, however I would read the chapters for the exams as those are harder, but not by a lot. I think it is clear he loves what he does and knows his stuff, and I have yet to get a bad grade in this class.
Easy online class with minimal work. Assignments are short but exams require close attention to notes and textbook. Extra credit opportunities can really boost the grade. Unstuck study was a big help for study prep alongside the course materials.
This class was easy for the most part. Just be aware of the assignments that involve a word minimum. As long as you meet the requirements, this class is pretty easy and straightforward. the exams are easy as long as you read the presentations and textbooks.
Whoever says this class is hard is a liar. Only two 150 comments weekly and no matter what you write you get a 100. Exams CAN be hard but honestly the ideas presented are kind of common sense. I don't watch the lectures, but the modules are so interesting I really enjoy them and all the videos we have to watch are short.
THE EASIEST CLASS EVER. literally all u gotta do is submit 150 word comment and take 3 tests online. super easy and clear directions, everything is on brightspace. easy 100 as long as u submit everything
Easy A. Weekly 100 word posts that only the TA's see, and then 3 tests. Super Super Easy.
This class is very meh. It's a fine asynchronous class, but if you don't like videos, don't take it. Otherwise, yeah, I guess it's an easy grade if you need elective credits. It's pretty much “common sense: the class.” Don't get the textbook. Too much money.
This class really helped me appreciate communication more. The way the course is set up keeps me organized and on track. His lectures are super clear, and the weekly modules make it so much easier to learn, understand, and study for tests. Overall, a great and engaging class!
The grade is based on 250word comments, about 2-3 a week based on lecture notes/videos. I find the lessons interesting and enjoyable. He is very organized and always sends reminders for assignments. He sticks to the syllabus and the information is easily understood. He really sets you up for success. if you fail this course its on you
Textbook can be found online in PDF form. Two weekly course comments, super easy only 150 words. 3 exams, all are easily passable if you took notes or even saved the "learning modules" to your drive. The final is a 15 question multiple choice quiz. Overall, super easy online class pretty much a free 3 credits.
great class but hes very strict with due dates
