He is super!!! You need to stay on you toes to keep up with the work, but you will learn and you will be greatful in the end. He is very helpful, caring, and dedicated to teaching. I had two classed with him and he makes other teachers look lame.

Great teacher...Anatomy is difficult anywhere you take it, but Dr. Johnson makes it fun and really cares about the students.

The material is hard and he has to move through it fast but he's developed a multitude of resources that students can use to learn and also to earn bonus points. They're fun and EXTREMELY helpful. If you are complaining about the difficulty level, change your major. Dr J is THE BEST prof I have EVER had, and I have been to 2 other 4 year universities. He gives valuable learning resources and goes way above & beyond. B+ in this class and worked my little butt off for it! Thanks Docta!

Dr. J is an amazing teacher. He truly cares about his students and their progress in the class. He is extremely helpful and available to all his students. I took the class in the summer and I had to work my but off; it wasn't easy- but he was so positive and helpful the I did it. Don't take anatomy with anyone else but Dr. J.- be ready to work.

Docta J is the hardest professor I have ever had. I have never worked so hard, but gotten so much out of a class. Be prepared for 40-60 hours of work a week minimum. Use all of the resources he has to offer and take advantage of the multitude of bonus points he has available, and you will be fine. He wants EVERYONE to succeed! He is amazing!!

Dr J. is the best prof you will ever come across! He has the largest webct at CCRI! And if you have any problems he makes sure it is solved! He makes the lab available even when he doesn't have a class! In Dr J's spare time at home he is either answering e-mails or drawing new pictures so you can better understand the muscle origins and insertions!

Very entertaining, but if you have taken this class before at another school it can be extremely confusing. He teaches regional not by seperate parts. (as in whole upper half and whole lower half verses bone, muscle, veins..etc.) A ton of writing in lecture and a ton of memorizing for a single exam. Missing a class is not recommeded.

Dr. J is an amazing teacher. He sincerely wants students to succeed, which is evident on his WebCT. He has SO many learning tools, and Dr. J is easy to approach and willing to help out any way he can. I highly recommend him.

The only negative about Dr.J is that after you take him, other teachers will seem lame in comparison. All the good stuff that you read here is true. He is known all over the state as an incredible prof whose students know their stuff. He is funny, enthusiastic, and caring, too.

Dr. J. is amazing but he can't learn it for you. Anatomy is hard. This class is a lot of work but his WebCT, humor, compassion, and responsiveness help get you through. Don't take this in the summer for 1st time. Don't take more than 1 other class with it-something easy. No blame game-you get out of it what you put into it, period.

I recommend to take Anatomy with him. I am not good at sciences and I got a B- my first time taking this course with him. I'm retaking it to get my A, which I could've easily obtained if I had just taken some time to study more. You'd be stupid to take anatomy with anyone else except him. I dealt with the hour drive each way every week just to experience his class.

Dr. J may very well be the best teacher I have ever had. This class is hard and full of information, but he makes it as simple as possible for you. GREAT teacher who gives you every possible resource imaginable to do well, great guy with a great personality- you will have to work HARD- it's not the material but the AMOUNT of material that's tough. If you dedicate all you have you will get an A- but you have to put in the time + effort. I wouldn't take it w anyone else!!

Dr. J is an absolutely amazing professor. You get out what you put into this class. It is not easy at all. Only do what you think you are capable of completing. I took the class with 3 others and it was tough. Dr. J keeps it interesting and he works with anyone that needs help. I wouldn't take this class with any other prof.

This class was so hard. I know everyone says that.. but I felt like I was having a mental breakdown every night studying. I actually broke down crying a couple times lol. Its just SO much... I really don't recommend the summer class. Dr. J was nice and pretty funny but I wasn't crazy about him. His online tools were great though!

Best professor ever!!!!!

During my semester of Anatomy, I liked Dr.J, but I didn't quite realize just how great he is. As I take physiology now, I have a good teacher, but I've come to realize just how rear of a professor Dr.J is. I wish he taught physio. His class is by no means easy, prepare to study and spend free time in the lab. But he goes out of his way to help .

Docta J has been the best professor I've had in my entire college carrier. He is extremely helpful, he is wicked funny, and he provides his students with countless resources. i will definitely recommend him. This has been the class I've learned the most in. He is toadally awsome!! (as docta j would say)

I appreciate his sense of humor and how he combines anatomy with comedy. He makes his lectures fun and entertaining while being exceptionally informative. It's anatomy, so it's tough, but he gives you MORE than enough extra study tools to help you pass, on blackboard. Dr. J is an incredible professor! I took the class in the summer for the first time, and that was a huge mistake, but Dr. J offered to withdraw me so it didn't affect my GPA. I'm taking it again now and I wouldn't have taken it with any other teacher. He gives you SO many resources to do well. Study & don't take it the first time in the summer.

Dr. J is an excellent Professor! I have had to take his class twice, but it was due to my willingness to participate. This time around I am doing everything required and so far succeeding. This class is the most difficult I have taken yet, but I am confident that Dr. J knows his stuff. He is respectful of his students and is available when needed!

Debating on whether or not to take his class? YES. TAKE IT. Dr. J is wicked smart, funny, helpful, and kind. His quizzes are online (use your notes!) and his lecture exams include exactly what is on his powerpoints. His lectures are recorded if you miss a class. He does videos of lab dissections. He does practice labs. If you fail, you didn't try.

I wish I can select more tags to describe how awesome this Professor J is. He is super helpful, very puny, and very passionate about the subject he teaches. He is definitely there for you and give great feedback. I would recommend this professor to anyone! Prepare to read, as the the tests are definitely based on the book. Don't abuse his kindness.

Dr J is amazing. I switched majors since taking his class and still tutor people taking his class. Multiple choice/fill in the blank exams - nothing he hasn't gone over. You're grade is what you put into the class -he gives you the tools you need to pass. Makes class enjoyable and fun which makes things easier to learn! Lots of material so STUDY!

Dr. Johnson is a great professor. He is clear about what will be taught in lecture and lab, and what work ethic is to be expected of students. BIO1010 (human anatomy) is a tough subject, but he gives students plenty of resources to learn the material. He also supplies many extra credit/bonus points.

Dr. J cares deeply about how much his students learn and engage in anatomy. He emphasizes participation and encourages questions. Importantly, he always makes time for his students despite teaching 2 anatomy lectures at different schools in the same semester. You get as much from this class as you put in. Take it - it's amazing!

Dr. J is a great professor. He clearly cares about his students and goes above and beyond to help you understand the material. It's a tough class but he makes it worth it. You definitely need to attend class, and the lectures can be a struggle to get through but there's plenty of extra credit available. I highly recommend Dr. J's class.

He gives you so many chances to get good grades. The lectures are online and he has videos to watch on the dissections if you missed one. Always jokes around and makes class bearable.

Weekly online quizzes which are 12% of your grade. Lecture is TOUGH. STUDY SUDY STUDY!!! almost impossible to get an A in this class. Definatley buy the lab companion and the greys anatomy for students! lecture companion is not as important. Keep on top of the work and go to class. He ALWAYS gives extra bonus points.

Dr J is by far one of the best Professors that I have had while at both URI and CCRI. His Anatomy class is amazing though both lab and lecture are difficult he helps you in as many ways as possible to make sure you pass. Just be prepared to study 2-3 hours a night because there is a lot of information to learn and take in. Awesome professor

Extremely good professor. Very funny. Helpful, and willing to answer any questions you may have. Must be willing to put in A couple hours of studying a day, although a very good professor, it is difficult work-- I would not have been able to survive, if it was not for this professor !!

I was most impressed by how he seemed to remember everyone's names, despite having over a hundred anatomy students at the start of the semester through the different sections, and seemed to be ready with an encouraging word to each. Fantastic professor--don't take anatomy with anyone else.

Mr. Johnson, by far is the best college professor I've had during my entire time in college. because of my full time job I needed to leave the country for 3 weeks mid semester. with 10 to 12 absences, Mr. J went completely out of his way to help me anyway he could up until the final exam to help me pass the class. And he's got a sense of humor.

I had DrJ during covid switch HE WAS AWESOME! it was tough to switch over and he really stepped up! He wants everyone to pass , gives so much opportunity for extra credit!

Dr. J is one of the best Professors I have ever had. He cares about his students doing well. The class is not easy but if you study you can pass. He uses powerpoint recordings and if you attend his lectures he will give you extra credit. He will work with you to help you.

William Johnson is a caring, kind professor who really wants you to succeed. Taking advantage of notes and bonus credit he gives to you is really important. I loved his class a lot

Class is very time consuming between homework and preparing for quizzes/exams but I will say Prof. J truly cares that you learn and offers many ways to get/keep your grade up. extra credit for attending live online classes, some quizzes can be taken until you receive 100. Lots of work but worth it!

Dr J is very thorough and wants you to learn the material. gives you every opportunity to not only pass but pass with a A. gives extra credit. Unlimited attempts on some quizzes. Practice quizzes. essay questions for exams are given to u ahead of time. It's alot of work in a summer session but doable. finished with A- & he let me redo exam for A!

Dr. J is the best anatomy professor one could ever ask for. He is kind, funny, easy going, and extremely knowledgable. You have to try hard to fail his classes. I have had him for A&P1 and 2 and both times were equally fantastic.

Dr.J is an amazing professor by far the most funny and caring professor i have had. A and P I is not an easy class but Dr.J does everything possible and will explain the material until you understand. If you go to class and study at least 1-2 hours a day for this course you will pass. He gives many opportunities for extra credit.

Dr. J has been my favorite professor in college ever even though sciences are not my favorite subject. He is funny, responds instantly, and will go over things 1,000 times if you need him to. I commuted 45 minutes twice a week just to attend his class and he always understood whenever I couldn't. Also offered so much extra credit! He is the best (:

Dr. J is a fair & understanding professor that provides enough opportunities to do well in his class. There is a good amount of work in his class, with lecture quizzes followed by an exam and 2 practical exams. With that, he is always available to ask questions and provides ample opportunities for extra credit.

Dr. J is a very dedicated, caring professor, his grading system is very fair and clear. Every lecture and lab was organized, he would make sure everyone understood the material and was there for any assistance, even beyond school hours. It's important to show up every class and do the work, as this goes a long way with his grading system.
