Not only did he talk down to me when I asked legitimate questions, but the answers he gave me were not helpful at all. I would never recommend him as his exams did not accurately reflect the lecture material and he has an awful attitude.
He taught Physiology at Ryerson via Chang School. I found him to be very clear and helpful - he gave us bonus marks to promote attendance and told us a few exam questions prior! He did make my questions feel a bit idiotic, but he still answered them. I think that he's a decent teacher.
WOW, the negative comments are unbelievable! It's like they're describing someone else altogether. Dr. Ju was the best professor I've had at UofT!! He is so helpful and has a great deal of interest invested in the success of his students. He is also an extremely effective teacher. I recommend taking any course he teaches, you won't regret it!
He goes out of his way to help you if you ask for it. Really nice professor
I hesitate in giving him a good review because it means his classes will be in higher demand than they already are! He's fair, he's clear, and he listens. Great atmosphere in lecture, and he's always reachable. All in all a great prof.
Amazing Prof! Very good listener, very understanding, and very reactive. I had a hard time with the subject material but he helped me a lot.
Amazing prof. Incredibly helpful and genuinely cares about his students, cares about getting to know them, and cares about their future and life! ALso had a huge knowledge and interest in so many different topics, an overall fantastic prof
Awesome.
Best prof ever!
Dr. Ju is a wonderful teacher, who as mentioned previously, really cares about his students, is always available to help, explains things well and makes his classes entertaining and fun. One of my fav profs of all time :)
He's awesome, always helpful, grades fairly AND brings free coffee to class every now and then. Won us over? Hells yes.
He is the future of good teaching at HMB
Dr. Ju is the best professor at the University of Toronto. He inspires students to do well and achieve the best (without penilizing them), which goes against the UT policy but makes him the best and kindest man walking the UT grounds. Thanks for making a difference, Dr. Ju.
Great Prof! He was the most helpful prof I've ever encounter in U of T
Very helpful prof who genuinely cares about his students and the way the university system is run. Befriending Professor Ju will likely prove to be valuable decision and stepping stone in to improving your university experience and career. He is an excellent teacher and communicator that makes himself very available to students wen they need help
Awesome, awesome professor. I suggest going to his office hours to have a chat.
He is absolutely fantastic. I loved coming to class because he had a sense of kindness to him. Being in life sci, struggling to adapt to Uoft's standards, Prof Ju was definitely refreshing. He cares for his students and always makes sure to let you know he's available for help. He also gives hints for the test and says what's important or not
Professor Ju is amazing and has completely changed my view of studying at U of T. He is very encouraging, always available to help his students, caring and just overall a wonderful teacher. He is definitely the best professor at U of T and if you are in life science, it is highly recommended that you try to take the courses he is teaching =)
BEST PROF EVER. HANDS DOWN. LOVE THIS GUY. TAKE ALL COURSES HE TEACHES. WILL HELP YOU GET INTO MED SCHOOL BC HE IS AN MD HIMSELF AND KNOWS ALL WE WANT IS A HIGH GPA
He was okay....don't know what the fuss is all about! He doesn't seem to care too much for the material....is a little akward in class. And while he says he really wants to meet students, the feeling does not come off in his mannerisms. Just seems rather depressing :-(
Professor Ju was such an awesome prof! He's great at explaining and re-explaining and welcomes you when you come knocking on his door for questions. He's honest with you when he tells you what you need to work on and taking his advice has been really helpful. Wish he was my prof for every class!!
Professor Ju is hands down one of the best profs at UofT. Profs like him are very rare. There is actually nothing wrong with his lecturing. He also gives great advice to students and is, without a doubt, very involved in helping us succeed. Seriously guys, he's amazing. Seriously.
He is the absolute best professor I have ever had. Bill is fantastic, and I hope that he knows how well he is loved by his students. You rock Bill!!!
He seems really personable and caring by his Facebook status updates, and yes he does bring coffee sometimes, but when I talked to him personally, he was anything but. I found his lecturing style muddled and lecture slides to be disorganized and littered with simple errors. Also, he does not make it clear what he's looking for on test questions
Awesome professor who cares deeply about his students. Makes lecture relatable and memorable, making studying easier. His lectures are also super organized and his answers to our questions are always succinct and helpful for the exam.
I was extremely disappointed to be taught by Dr.Ju. Though, he seems amazing through his FB posts - he really is not a good professor. His lecturing style is often confusing and lacks clarity, and his final exam was very unfair. Also, he is very unfriendly and cold during the times I met him. Maybe, it would benefit him to get off FB and TEACH!!
best prof at uoft
I feel like I was taught by 2 different people. At first he was super helpful (google docs extra help session, practice tests, detailed test guideline). However, since the midterm, he does not keep his promises, ignores emails, doesn't like answering questions, wants to leave as early as possible, no practice tests... nothing. I am disappointed.
He's okay overall, but he does have a pretty bad attitude. He constantly threatens us about the makeup exam in an attempt to deter people from deferring their exams. Also, according to the syllabus, the final lecture should've been a review lecture, but he did not once mention the word "review" and failed to acknowledge this fact.
This prof was a complete mess. He went from being helpful to being in his feelings about a survey and because the class didn't fill it out he got cold and decided to be unfair with his style of teaching He now is making our final difficult He unreliable with marks and hasnt done anything he said he was going to like a review for the final Horrible
unpredictable. moody. unreliable. disinterested. the only good thing about him was that his midterm was fair & reflective of course material.
Best professor at UofT. He seems to be the only professor that actually cares about his students. Very understanding, compassionate, and fair. Dr. Ju is an amazing guy!
He acts like your best friend on facebook and at the beginning of the year. But then he gets moody and starts to ignore emails and is rude during office hours. Like two different people. Does not respect students time and their effort to ask for help.
Genuinely my favourite professor. Dr Ju has truly gone above and beyond for his students. He will move mountains for you if you ask respectfully, and show passion for his courses.
Very great prof. His slides are a bit filled with information however he is very concise about what you have to know for the test. He encourages participation via answering questions then evaluating other people's answers helping you know the material thoroughly. Overall, a great prof! Dr. Ju is always there for you. A+ for you mate
He is cold, condescending and pretentious UNLESS you're on his favourites list. There's a huge discrepancy between how he is in person vs how he is over FB. He also chooses to spend his 'office hours' to leisurely talk to his favorites about life rather than students who actually need help with lecture content. Being said, his evaluations are fair.
Great professor who takes a keen interest in supporting his students with the support and materials required to help them succeed in and outside of class. By every measure, he is among the top lecturers at this university. Apart from this, his lecture slides can be better organized.
One amazing professor! Loves neuroscience, loves teaching, cares about his students (yeah! coffee and muffins before lectures, fee lunch with a guest speaker). He updates his lecture slides a day before lecture to incorporate just published research. His assignments are organized such that they are the least stressful yet very beneficial.
Best lecturer at UofT I've had thus far. Dr. Ju is extremely clear in both his explanations of material and marking expectations. He loves neuroscience, and constantly changes his slides (even semester to semester). His knowledge is very up to date, he's fair and if you ask for extra help he will deliver! Get to know him as he gives great advice!
He first seemed to be nice but after 2 courses with him, I learned that he is pretentious & unhelpful. He doesn't respond to emails & is unwilling to help even though he says by mouth that he is. His marking scheme is unclear & extremely subjective. He's also unprofessional & complains about his colleagues on fb. Stay away from him
A lot of positive feedback from other students and friends. However, my emails to him always go ignored. I didn't find him all too helpful during office hours, has a cold attitude unless you're on his good side.
Such an amazing professor! If you put the work in and just go to class it's you'll definitely get an A! He is so nice and makes it so easy to do well on his tests!
Good lecturer, who makes an effort to make lectures engaging. Generally flexible with extensions, and provides audio recordings in case you were sick. However, he is extremely unprofessional--complains often about his coworkers, and finds a way to always victimize himself in an effort to gain pity/support from his students on FB.
Nice on fb but cold in person. Doesn't reply to emails. Booked appt. with him but he didn't showed up. Lectures are a PAIN - he'll start a point, then go off on a tangent about a useless topic in the point for a full minute, THEN finish the point. Sometimes he doesn't even finish the point. I mean yeah he brings coffee sometimes but what's the use.
Tutorials are easy marks.
What a god, he's easily one of the greatest professors I've had to date. He's very clear and knowledgable about what he teaches. Students love learning about the Human Body in his class (Human Physiology in my case) because of his straightforward pattern of teaching and good guidance. U of T is lucky to have him.
I took this course for breadth, but he made the subject very interesting. He's a fantastic lecturer, he makes sure people get what he's talking about, and he's very clear about what's going on exams. He's pretty awesome.
Class time would be better spent on teaching us the material instead of bribing students, under the guise of demonstration . He was also more concerned with basketball, then spending the full time teaching. When I tried to book an appointment before the midterm, he told me he back-to-back meetings and then boasted on FB that he had the day off.
Best Prof I have ever had! Super helpful and great lectures. No textbook. Tests were more than fair, he did a lot of prep before the midterm and exam. Might be cheesy but he really cared about his students
Super great lecturer and knows his stuff. He also cares way more about students than other profs. Test were hard but fair. That being said, he often pretends to be helpful. He'll say he'll help you get an opportunity, then you email him 10 times and he never actually does it. And he keeps bashing on other profs, which is a bit unprofessional.
AWESOME
He cares about students and has good intentions. Unfortunately, he doesn't follow through on a lot of his promises (study guides, practice questions etc.). Would rather he didn't offer them if he cant provide them, and just put out what he can. Lectures are streamed and chalk talks really helpful. Clear lecturer but often jumps around on topics.
I didn't learn much in his classes. He tends to oversimplify concepts and is often unclear about what he expects for assignments. I spoke to him during office hours and he seemed very cold and distant . Also makes a lot of promises (extra credit, more student participation) that he can't keep.
Best prof at UofT and the most caring. His tests are tough but fair, and you get exactly how much you put in. Very passionate about optimizing learning for students.
Initially I liked him, he cares about his students and he's relatively lenient with grading/extensions. He spells out what he wants you to know and it's easy to get good grades. That said, there's a particular thing under the "Rating Don'ts" that hes not exactly discreet about. Also his email correspondence sucks. Regardless, hes a decent prof.
Prof Ju is a really lovely prof. You have to listen to his full lectures because he goes more in depth than the slides and sometimes this can be tested. That being said the tests are VERY fair- take his small assignments/study aids seriously and the tests should be ok (also no textbook readings or trick qs. One of the best neuro profs, imo.
Hands down one of the best profs ive had, if not the best. He taught me physiology in spring/summer @Ryerson and i wouldnt ask for any other person to teach it to me. I have always been scared of how hard anatomy could be but after taking his class, i wouldn't mind taking anatomy with him as well. Very fair tests.
99% sure the only reason prof Ju gets good reviews is because he hands out marks like candy. Everything else about him is average at best. His lecturing style is amateurish, I've had graduate students who had better delivery of lecture content. Concepts were oversimplified, course website is disorganized, and his emails are a train wreck.
Positives: Not the greatest or the worse prof. Emphasizes what he wants you to know and not know. so his tests are fair/easy. Negatives: In person he's very cold and "tries" to help but the whole "i care about you" is not genuine at all (unless you're part of his "favourites"). Your emails aren't priority even if its regarding lecture material
Never spoken to him so I am unsure if his generosity and kindness is genuine but his course is very fair. Take notes in class, understand concepts, and you'll get a mark you will like.
Cares about his students a lot. Prof Ju also clearly identifies the testable material which makes it easier to study. Tests are fair.
Dr Ju's courses honestly just haven't taught me anything. He's great at telling you exactly what will be tested and what to study, but I found a lot of his lectures to be really disorganized. He seems to care a lot about students, but I found him really unapproachable in person.
Professor Ju is probably one of the best professors I've encountered in my three years of undergrad. He is straightforward in lectures, makes the content very understandable and intriguing. He deeply cares about his students and understands the stress we feel. He wishes to alleviate any worries you have and tells you exactly what will be tested.
Really understanding and helpful. Gives hints out in class for what will be tested. Quizzes are helpful.
Sometimes acts like a high school girl. His exams are horrifying, beware his easy tests. The usual prof.
Lots like Uncle Tetsu, yummy!
Prof Ju comes off as very funny/approachable on Facebook and on his posts on Portal, but he's nothing like that in real life. Lectures are extremely disorganized. BULLET POINTS SHOULDN'T BE A PARAGRAPH COPY-PASTED FROM AN ARTICLE. Goes off topic a lot, very bad at explaining concepts. Acts like he's a God for posting study guides.
This course is strictly lecture material. He doesn't explain things clearly, which leaves students needing to discuss it with each other to figure out wth is going on. Study guides are pretty useful. When he says "you don't need to know this for the exam" don't trust him. The final is insanely hard, but term tests are easy. Work long&hard for an A+
Initially I loved him, he seemed like he cared so much. Then, I tried to meet with him and despite having an appointment he didn't show up, wasting a ton of my time and money because I commute from far. Oh and he never emailed me back when I asked if he could still make it. The term tests were pretty straightforward but then the final was BRUTAL.
I'll say one thing and that'll be enough for you to get a sense of what kind of prof he is: After multiple emails, you finally schedule an appointment with him, and he doesn't show up. Sad to see I wasn't the only one this happened to vv
Ju comes off as someone who really cares about your academic success and wellbeing on first approach. As you get into the class, however, it quickly becomes that this is not the case. Ju remained unapproachable and very rude to all of his students except for a select few that he knew from before the course or did not need help in the first place.
Term tests are easy to study for and straight forward. Beware of the final exam.
Sarcastic, sometimes tries to be funny but is not. Physiology is a heavy class, but Ju made it even worse. Tests are all based on memorization. Expected you to know 190 slides in and out for the exam, but only around 100 slides were really on it. I would not take again; not all students learn by memorization. Sorry.
He should be the one teaching this course at Ryerson not only during the summer. Bill is a great professor! He tells you exactly what you need to know for exams and explains things in a way to make it easier to understand. I have never had a professor go out of their way to help students as much as Bill Ju did for us.
He acts like he cares about his students, but he DOESN'T. Very unapproachable after class, maybe he should teach an acting class. Final exam was brutal.
Final inst cumulative He is very straightforward of what will be on the tests/exam
Communicates with his students and encourages participation. However, he is the worse professor I have ever had in terms of explaining course material. His explanations of neuroscience-based concepts and experimental procedures are an absolute mess. He frequently makes mistakes and is incoherent 50% of the time. Terms tests are easy. Exam is hard.
I have mixed feelings. You have to work for your grades in his neuroscience courses. However, it's very possible to get crazy good marks... you just have to study the slides... over... and over... and over... everything on them is fair game. Sometime he'll hit you with a hard test, sometimes an easy one, sometimes he'll completely mess up a topic
Professor Ju is fair and understanding. He is VERY caring about his students, You have to come to lecture otherwise you're going to do poorly. He is very straightforward about what material to expect on the test so if you show up, take good notes, put in the work, he makes sure you'll do well.
Almost a year after of having him as a professor I can truly still say he is AN AMAZING PROF that i am so shocked to see some of the comments mentioned. His way of teaching was explained very clearly. He is VERY knowledgable in his field and it shows through. One of the best profs, I recommend anyone to take his class
His tests arent the easiest, but if you study and cover the material, you will do great! I think the most remarkable thing about Dr. Ju is how much extra effort he puts in to make his students pass. He offers all the help you need, and it is incredibly amazing for someone like me who needs a little push to start up.
The course is pretty tough but he makes clear in class & in the study guides he provides, what will be tested on the term tests and exam. As long as you start early and keep up with the content, you'll do fine. Most things are well explained but sometimes, specific topics can be confusing so you may have to use some secondary resources for clarity
Neuro is a hard class, but Professor Ju really does his best to make sure you succeed. Definitely attend ALL the lectures, he tests you on a lot of stuff that's being said but isn't necessarily on the slide. He offers a lot of help outside of class, including study guides and study groups - really cares about students.
Good lecturer, gives lots of details and always allow students to ask questions in class. Host review sessions. Records/ live streams all of the lecture, which were very helpful for revisiting materials and making sure you have all the notes. The 2 midterms were very easy, but make sure to study in advanced for the final as it is pretty heavy.
Lectures and lecture slides are incredibly disorganized. He did not follow the syllabus that he gave us at the beginning of the term at all. Test questions are lazily written and test memorization as opposed to understanding. He moved due dates for multiple assignments multiple times, which penalized those who completed their work on time.
I wouldnt trust him to get reference letters at all. Dont try to impress him or be on his good side, his kindness is very deceiving.
no trust
Very good professor! Cares about his students a lot which is not common in professors at university. He definitely goes above and beyond to show he cares for his students. Tests are difficult but very fair, if you study hard you should do great!
Dr. Ju is a very caring professor, and he seems to care a lot about mental health and providing students with extra resources (e.g. study guides, lectures are recorded); however, he does not stick to his word or the syllabus. He promised students a review session but did not follow through since 70% of students did not submit course evals.
Tells you exactly what will be on the exam, the effort you put in will translate into marks so long as you make sure to know the slides inside and out. Notorious for testing small points on the lecture slides (type of stain used, for example). Kind and caring but sometimes he overdoes it and it feels a bit less genuine.
Dr. Ju is one of the best profs I've had at UofT. The way he cares about his students and tries to ease their stress & anxiety is something VERY rare for a UofT prof to do. He seems so excited to see his students to either help them with concepts, go over assignments or just talk about random stuff. This man is truly a blessing we do not deserve.
His assignments and tests were very fair. If you showed up to lecture, he would drop hints on things you needed to pay attention to. He can be lenient with deadlines if you have a good reason and tries his best not to stress students out. He is a great professor.
very caring. gives a lot of support. passionate about his teaching, provides clear explanations. approachable. makes lectures interesting and fun! amazing overall.
One of the best professors I have had at UofT! He gives you feedback on your performance and is willing to listen to your questions and concerns. If you can put in the effort and keep up with the work load (includes weekly write-ups, participation, surveys, a visual abstract, and a final review), you can easily receive a grade within the A range.
If you are looking for advice, he is the guy, if you are looking for someone to do things for you, sorry, you aint livin ya parents house no more. Lec insights are great, materials either frontier or relatable. However he expect you to understand the material through out, will test on thought questions. Good way is a tough way.
Professor Ju is an amazing lecturer. That much cannot be denied. He is also the only professor at U of T who I have encountered that regards mental health highly. Be warned, however, that he will not make time for students in topics unrelated to class. This includes recommendation letters; choose any teacher but him for those!
Great prof. Very intelligent and a nice person!
Dr. Jeu is without a doubt the best professor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about every single one of his students and his response to concerns, questions, etc proves this. He puts a ton of effort into making sure that each of his students has the best possible opportunity to grasp the content and succeed in the course.
HE IS JUST SO AMAZING Understands students, care students, loves students.
Professor Ju has been the best prof in my experience at UofT. During a very difficult time (COVID-19), Professor Ju has checked in with students and made himself available if we needed anything. He also had some really interesting guest speakers come in for some exciting lectures. Would absolutely recommend taking this course!
CJH332 is a moderately heavy course probably made easier by the fact that memorization was less necessary this semester due to online courses. The ability to understand biological mechanisms is tantamount as is in most physiology courses at this school. Dr. Ju is a very caring professor and I have enjoyed being in his class.
Horrible! This course is basically a composite of other prof and neurosurgeons talk. Also, do not rely on him for reference letter, he ghost you after he agreed to write you one. He is an okay lecturer but do not expect him to respond to Emails.
Really loved this course, it was inspiring to learn about current research and advances through guest lectures.
If you really want to suck up to him and get on his really good side, he'll be amazing. If you lay low like 99.9% of students do you will struggle. He does not help you unless you are on his good side. He says he cares about you but will not take any type of excuses from you. Ghosted many people for references even after agreeing.
Decent prof, fair tests. You can get a good grade in his class, just dont rely on him for anything outside of classroom, regardless of how good of a relationship you think youve built. Notorious for ghosting students after agreeing to write reference letters for them.
Ju is a good LECTURER...a good leader, or mentor? Not so much. He is unbelievably phoney and does almost nothing that he promises in lecture (eg flexible extensions, thoughtful feedback, class trivia prizes etc) so as long as you just don't seek any sort of relationship you should enjoy his courses. He marks fairly graciously, hence ppl like him.
If you want to take a bird course or have content be easier to understand, then take his classes but otherwise, he is just soo fake. He will talk and talk about how much he cares about his students but be rude to you, not show up for 1 on 1 meetings when you schedule them, or ghost you when it comes to reference letters!
Dr. Ju is fair when it comes to marking (so are the TAs). He did not give us enough time on the midterm so he let us do it again for a longer period of time the week after. However, his tests are super hard compared to what is learned in lecture. Lectures are super detailed. He also told me he would write me a reference and then ghosted me...
Excellent lectures, fair grading, if you understand the course material, you can get an A. Exams are open-book and don't require memorization. You really just need to comprehend the material thoroughly. I have undiagnosed ADHD (no money for that) and don' take any medication, but I still got an A+, my highest score in the past three years.
Thanks for the enlightening course Dr. Ju! :) I felt like the exams thoroughly tested my knowledge of course content & he was very transparent about what would be on the tests. He also got students bubble tea, second cup, etc. along with even snacks during lectures which was so sweet! Also really big on mental health which meant the world to me.
He tries so hard to appear nice to students but is extremely awkward to interact with on a one-to-one basis. Also heavily favors students pursuing medicine and really disregards students who are not performing as well in his courses. Not reliable at all for reference letters.
Genuinely the best professor/course that I've ever had. He is super caring and big on mental health, he prioritizes his students over everything. He is very considerate-- even in his testing, assignments and grading scheme. I've read quite the opposite on Reddit so I was quite hesitant taking this class... I am so glad I did! Definitely recommend!
Always preaches about how his students mean so much to him, then proceeds to ghost every single one of them apart from the favourites he picks at the beginning of the semester... its gotten to the point where hes even starting to ghost the favourites... Good lecturer but rarely stays true to his word
One of kindest, most caring profs I have ever encountered. Brings snacks to class and truly cares about student mental health.
One of the best and most caring profs
amazing prof, taught me so much. im so grateful i was apart of his class
Great lecturer, very engaging, and funny. The PBJ truly cares about his students and wants what is best for us both academically and our mental health. His testing criteria were SUPER clear, and often extended due dates to better accommodate the whole class. Can be hard to reach him outside of class but that is what the TAs are there to help with
Dr Ju is a good professor that cares about the class as a whole, but struggles to help students on an individual basis. As people have previously mentioned, he ghosts students emails (ghosted me for a medical extension), but makes changes to the course structure that benefits the entire class.
If you follow the lecture well, it's an easy course to boost your grade. However, he only finished half of the material in the syllabus. Despite confirming the exact date and time, he ghosted his students for office hours. Promised a review session many times in class but canceled it one hour before the scheduled class time and never had one.
fake nice. never responds to emails even when they're urgent, but posts on facebook, instagram, linkedin, etc while ghosting you. would take courses again but only because they weren't too hard
Very nice person and cares about students. Always considers student's opinion and feedback. Always give bonus marks on the tests. Clear and detailed lectures.
Every class spends time saying how he cares about his students' mental health and would try his best to support his students. But he doesn't respond to emails and is continually ghosting students.
average lecturer. very generous re:deadlines & brings breakfast to class but IMPOSSIBLE to reach. avoids you even in class, lecture 1 promised us all grad school recs but ghosted me twice when i followed up on mine, won't even book a meeting to discuss midterm marks. def cares abt students as a concept but man, i'd love to actually talk to him?
I don't know why there are so many people complaining he likes ghosting, but for me, every time I went to the office hours he was there and loved to help. I'm gonna say he is such a nice person. The course wasn't hard and the deadlines were so flexible. It's definitely a worthy course to take.
GOAT. Always nice and caring about students, contents are also interesting.
Overall good for students that still want to be treated like babies. Dont even try to ask for anything beyond course help.
best prof at UofT so far, cares for students
amazing lecturer, fair exams with no surprises - he tells you what is going to be important. not sure about what it is like to reach out to him though.
Professor Ju is caring and passionate, but can be inconsistent. The course content is manageable, and unstuck AI proved helpful for exam prep. Overall, a worthwhile class if you're willing to engage.
Clearly a kind and caring prof. Lecture delivery is engaging, but the content is not. Topics covered are not particularly interesting, despite the course name. Whenever content gets more complicated he seems unable to organize his thoughts so the lecture is a mess. Tests are "fair" but 90% guessing what he is thinking rather than what is correct.
really good prof. Super chill and I like the energy he brings when talking about neurobiology
PBJ is a good lecturer and is very passionate, however, this course diverges heavily from past HMB200 courses, not so much introduction to neuroscience but more "advanced research analysis on neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders?" Definitely not what I expected, content is challenging to understand but interesting.
As much as I love Prof Ju, having taken two of his courses now, I can't overlook his terribly disorganized lectures, obsession with uninteresting small details, and exams with logical errors.
I like his teaching style and everything overall he's fair and clear with tests but he seems to be different in person than he appears as during his lectures. He just ignores or is very disinterested when you try speaking to him outside of class
PBJ is good at teaching and gives many hints to prepare us in advance. Took a few courses with him now. TA grading was fair and they give feedback. Although PBJ is nice, he seems to pretend to be friendly and might not be as approachable as you think. Regardless, you can't go wrong with his courses, easy 4.0s. Will likely ghost you and favor others
Is this a course that will give you an easy A? Yes, absolutely. Grading is fair, and workload is really light. He'd always bring snacks and/or buy coffee for students. Checked all the boxes if you will, what more can one ask for right? Genuineness. That's what's lacking there perhaps?
He is such a good professor, always asking if we need clarity on the subject matter and providing hints as to what will be on the midterms/finals. He also loves to get to know his class! Top professor.
He's pretty good. His lectures are entertaining but can feel convoluted at times.
He is fake!
