He is a great teacher. He is very enthusiastic and always ready to help. Also, he teaches great ways how to write an essay. He has a comuterized class, which is really cool. However, it is important to him to participate in class and not be absent.

Mr. J was one of my favorite teachers at Glendale. He really breaks down and TEACHES you how to write an incredible term paper. He actually reads your work and encourages your creativity. Participation is key as is attendance, but class was never boring and a pleasure to attend.

Mr. J ROCKS! he is an excellent teacher...he'll make you love taking English. He is creative and curtious to his students. Everyone should take him, you won't be disappointed. Very Passable :).

he is simply the man. it's been over five years since i've had his class, and i still think back to his lectures. he helped improve my writing so very much. you can really tell he loves what he does. his lectures are clear and to the point, he gives extremely detailed feedback (which is so helpful), and he's the best prof, ever ever ever. take him!

Mr. J is the man. The class was overall pretty easy. You get pop quizzes every class on you assigned readings which are pretty short. The only difficult part I thought were the essays. You write about 4 in class essays in the class. I got A's on all of them, but they were quite challenging. He is a nice guy and you'll learn alot.

Juzwiak is an awesome teacher. He assigns interesting readings, and his lectures are engrossing. The essays can be a little hard, but the in-class format he uses takes a lot of the stress off of you. If you can't keep up with reading assignments and attend class regularly, this isn't the prof for you, but he's wonderful if you're into English.

He is the nicest guy ever but he gives homework every night and a quiz on the reading every day in class. This is not a class to take if you don't want to go everyday. You have to do all of the reading but he makes it interesting. If you are a procrastinator don't take this class it will kill you.

By far one of the greatest professors at GCC. I will never, ever forget his lectures. I actually apply them to real life! He is so understanding and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better english professor. Mr. J you're the best!

wOw, read some of the best literature out there! Loved every minute of it. The BEST engish proffessor at GCC. I had World Lit. with him, such great lectures, had me hooked till the end. His enthusiasm is contagious!

he is tough teacher witha lot of work but i definatly learned something out of this class and i feel VERY comfortable going into 101 i took him in the summer so it was a little more stress to work with but he also grades on how u improve..i tried so hard for my first essays and i slacked off a bit so he graded low on the next ones..so try hard!

I still can't pronounce his name but other than that, he gets an A for clarity, humor & most of all, open mindedness. The reading & homework are doable and there's a 5-question quiz at the start of every class. Because of him, I discovered that Ancient, Middle Age and Renaissance literature is just as interesting as contemporary literature.

He is an awsome teacher. he loves his job and what he teaches. You can learn a lot from him. I will be taking him for english 120 as well. He is wonderful, helpful, funny. He may give you a bit of work, but let me tell you its worth is. He explains well and teaches well. So far we have homework every night. winter class so no text book neede

I had him last year for World Lit. I can honestly say he's far better than most of the professors I've had at UCLA. He's an awesome teacher. You'll have to work for your A but you'll learn a lot. Take him.

I took Mr.J over the summer for eng. 120. He is a very nice and helpful professor. His lectures and advice is very clear. He is also funny. The only complaint i have is that we had A LOT of homework every night. And i mean, A LOT.I took it over the summer so that is the reason for the ton of homework every night. Do not take him over the summer.

Really good English teacher. Read what he gives you and expect an A. Gives extra credit on quizzes everyday so being careful in your reading can give you a bonus. Never tricks you, and is very enthusiastic about his job. Expect to learn.

Best teacher at GCC...Cares about his students and wants you to succeed. You read a lot but you really don't mind because you read such wonderful material. You also do a lot of writing but you shouldn't be in the class if you don't enjoy writing. Please take this teacher if you get the chance.

He motivates students to do better work he knows they're capable of with his positive, constructive criticism. Unlike many other English professors, he doesn't make you feel stupid. Before an exam he really makes it clear what he expects and you can always go to his office hours. Taking English 109 has made me become a better writer, and he also is extremly motivational! quizes are easy, just make sure you attend class!

As long as you do your work (a reasonably assigned amount) you'll get an A. Most of the students do! Basically everything you want from an English prof! Love this class!
