He is one of the greatest Math Instructors at CCSF. It's true the he is very slow, but you can go to his office and ask any math problem and he will explain it very clearly. He also cares about his students and gives easy tests.

Very amusing, covers the material well (though you should also read the text), tests are fairly easy. Always willing to listen to students and explain things.

He is a nice and helpful teacher. His lectures are very clear. If you don't understand the material, you can always visit him during his office hours.

Omfg, i had him for calc#1,and he sure fun. he gives homework problems that are hard but he always gives students the chance to ask him any homework questions the next day. if u do all his homework u can pass his tests with an A+ cuze they're hella ez. hell he even lets u omit a problem which he did on the final as well. he likes 2stomp hisfootlol

Mr. King is awesome! He does a great job teaching one of the hardest subjects to teach. He doesn't collect homework, but you have to do it to understand the material. He's very helpful and writes everything on the board, so take notes!! He does make some mistakes "to make sure you're paying attention", but he's super comical.

Mr. King is a great math teacher. He explains the material really well, and always answers any homework questions you have. His tests are multiple choice, and very fair. He is also a really nice guy, and is easily available. I definitely recommend him!

Mr. King is a great teacher, I was glad I took him and passed after trying to pass with other teachers three times before. The test were easy if you knew the material that was covered. I did the homework and attended the class regularly. The scan tron test had errors and he corrected them.

depends on book teacher, very helpful and understanding. kinda boring and tends to go over on time. online, see him once a week. quizes are online, HWK due when seen, only ezam with him is final. everything is multiple choice. final is open book, not notes. have to learn his way, its the only way he knows to explain.

This is a very hard class!I took the online class & it took a whole lot of my time. You really need 3-4 hours of study time a day. Professor King tries really hard to make the students understand the material. The book really needs to be read!Do the homeworks, make sure you understand, then you'll be fine. But be prepared to work real hard!

textbook is really important! read it, and you should be fine. he grades you based on a curve grade, means your lowest score will be eliminated. tests weren't easy, but the calculator is really helpful during the test. You just need to know how to operate it and nothing to worry about during the test.

He explains very well, but kind of boring. I think it is because of the subject n not him. I took him in the summer n its 3 hours long so its boring. His tests are not that hard, its all multiple choice. He grades base on a 90 point score n not 100. it means u can have 100/90. He is good n easy A..take him

Easy and often funny guy.Tells you like it is,sometimes offending.Explains material well,but you must also read the book and do homework.He will gladly explain anything you dont unerstand.I really enjoyed his class.He grades on a curve(generously).He really knows his stuff and teaches well.But dont expect a good grade if you dont study!!!

His tests are all multiple choice. Students really need to know the material, which he goes over in class. At the beginning of the semester he was tough on students talking in class, but as it grew on and more students dropped he became more helpful and personal to individuals. Homework not collected but important. Just survive the first month.

Professor King is very straightforward. As long as you do your homework, read the Math textbook assigned, and take notes in class, you can pass the class. Come on, it's math! there is not shortcut, but he makes it so you always know how you are doing in terms of grade and can assess your own situations. A good math teacher.

this is for the online summer session. we went through a chapter a day and homework for every chapter which was mandatory. there were 6 quizzes in total and they were all multiple choice. the final was cumulative, had 25 problems and also multiple choice. needa remember what formula to punch into your calculator for the final. pretty fair overall.

He's a good professor. Sometimes make small jokes in class. Uses the book everyday. His tests are multiple choice, so be prepared to guess! If you want to do well in his class, study at home. He does the book questions in class. If you don't understand something, ask him for help during his office hours.

His class was so easy drung the summer online one. I learned a lot and did well for the homework part. He posts everything that you do no know on the forum. He is very helpful. I love him. The best teacher ever. :)

He was so hard. But you can learn a lot from him. Hr did not give you a lecture, but he answers on the forums. I think he is great to motivate students and doing well to teach. Tests are like ap or sat exams. So hard..

Very nice teacher. Be in class on time on the days class is held. Taking notes during the lecture will be very useful. Do the assigned homework and study for the test.

He doesn't grade the homework. However, he is very good and thorough at explaining things. His tests are multiple choice and I find them easy to take.

For the 1st Exam One know when to use Sx sample standard deviation vs. ?x population standard deviation. Know population vs. sample. Know what kinds of variables in real life make a normal distribution, like cereal box weights, income of certain age group. Submit incomplete hwk & you'll get full credit.

Prof. King is a very generous grader. He gives full credit for HW if you do most of it and turn it in on time. Definitely worth doing the HW, especially if you are teetering on a grade scale. The exams are multiple choice but they are hard. Open book but DEFINITELY STUDY. Good at answering questions in timely manner.

King was a good teacher. Mostly a lecture class, no homework. You're graded by the exams. Attendance and text book are not mandatory, but they will both help you with the test. I'm the WORST at math, and I passed his class, lemon squeezy. I Passed with a C, but that's the best I've ever done in math.

Math 80 online class, summer semester. Think twice before attempting this, as you'll go through a chapter a day. 25 chapters, around 20 homework problems for each chapter, required forum participation, 5 exams, online midterm, in person final exam, extra credit offered. Prof. helpful & responsive, I actually learned quite a bit.

Mr. King is wonderful; he's patient and thorough, not condescending at all, and I found his explanations to be perfectly understandable and extremely helpful. He really seems to care that you understand what's going on. Lots of homework, but he only grades the tests. If you pay attention and do the homework you'll pass for sure.

Two papers and hes an easy grader.

No homework, so all the grades came from exams. We had 6 exams in total. If you can study by yourself without doing lots of homework. Take this class.

I won't deny that this is the hardest math class I've taken. Yes, there's tons of assignment if you are not ready to give your time to this class do look for different prof. I do see that Mr. King want his student to learn, but it also depends on you how you going to understand the topic. I hate math, but I did learn and understand something new.

Realize he's moved on, editing this rating from 2017. He could sometimes obfuscate topics. Switched to his in-person section and found his explanations very clear. His grading system is fair. The HW is overkill without actually being more instructive. The in-person experience helped immensely to clarify, so much that wish I could retake his class.
