If you suck at math, take a class with Korytowski, pay attention, and you'll do well. I got an A+ in the course after failing math in high school. He's one of the best professors at U of M.

Great fun in class; easy to follow; DON'T buy Gerhard's notes (lack much detail); unfortunately I found is notes helter-skelter sometimes. Overall, he makes the class easy and fun.

I had Mr. K in high school too, and he was amazing. He makes jokes to keep you paying attention and is always willing to explain something to death until you understand. Very approachable and a genuinely nice guy.

Probably the best teaching style I've ever seen from any professor. He's entertaining, helpful, and accurate all-in-one. He seems to know exactly what to teach for the course and the best way to teach it.

Good prof and a nice guy. Does teach fast, but at least that allows for sufficient exam review. Always willing to make things clear, as well. I would recommend buying the Grant's book for this course instead of the course text book. It made my life MUCH easier! (I got an A in the course)

Undoubtedly the best teacher I have ever had. His lectures are so clear and he makes the most comprehensive, hands on use of them. He gives the best examples and never leaves out an explanation or any details. We finished the course 2 weeks before the last date of classes so we had ample time to review over materials for the final exam. EXTREMELY helpful outside class. Its no wonder his class got the highest average. If your taking any math course, TAKE IT WITH HIM!!! I would have never thought I could achieve an A in calculus and because of him, I have. A true asset to this university and he should be awarded for his teachings. Korytowski rules!!!

He's a really fun professor, and will take the time to learn your name. He has all his notes for sale at the U of M store for like 12 bucks, so you can focus on the concepts instead of scrambling to write things down. I don't love math, but Korytowski made it interesting.

Best math Professor ive had. He did a very good job at explaining the material and making it easy to understand. His marking was fair.

Although this course is much much harder than Calc 1, this prof does a great job giving the students what is needed to succeed. He is willing to help. And lectures are clear.

Had him for MATH 1500 last year. He was absolutely great then and without a doubt is still the best teacher I've ever had. His helpfulness is off the scale. He is always willing to stay as long as possible with you to help you out with whatever you need. His explanations are clear and helpful. No wonder he got a teaching award last year he should have gotten another one this year! It’s a shame he doesn't teach any math courses beyond 1st year but get him while you can for any 1st year math course and it will be an easy ride! You will never have any one else better!

He's pretty much the best professor in the universe!

This mean is positively incredible! His explanations leave no room for confusion, he is helpful beyond comparison, and he has a knack for making each student in a 150 person class feel like he takes an individual interest in them. Even I, a languages major, am interested in taking more math courses because of Prof Korytowski. Simply wonderful.

Korytowski is hands down one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. He's funny, he's engaging, he's extremely helpful and takes a real interest in every students needs. Oh yeah, and his teaching style is amazing. He may not be a research intensive PhD holding mathematician, but he will be one of the best teachers you will ever have.

This prof is amazing at explaining things, and makes sure you understand what you're doing. He's really good with answering questions in class, all you'vegot to do is ask. The course was pretty tough, but i enjoyed it with Korytowski

Great first year prof! Logically arranged information, and his course notes are GOLD! 1/2 question period before his classes. He's probably the only reason I passed Calc 1.

AMAZING! makes class exciting, easy easy easy to understand, explains topics so well, very willing to answer questions and lend extra help during office hours. highly reccomended ive taken 3 courses with him.

I found him boring to listen to in class, but he's still a great prof. Very helpful outside of class. Gives you lots of tips on the quizzes. Go to class for those. You can teach yourself the course useing the text and doing suggested problems. No need to attend class really. Quizzes, mid-term, and final were fair.

He's AWESOME! I thought that I was bad at math until I had him for a teacher then I realized that it was my previous teachers that were bad, not me. He explains everything so it's crystal clear. The U of M is lucky to have him!

Best math prof you will ever get! His notes are already written out and available to students so you spend the class time learning and practicing not desperately writing. Great sense of humour, loves to engage students. Breaks the material down and explains it as best as anyone ever will.

I would strongly recommend taking his class. As a University One student the classes can be a bit intimidating and impersonal, but Korytowski takes time to help. He would come to class a half hour early to get us practicing what we've learned. He knows who I am, which is more than I can say about my other profs.

This is my favourite class! Math! That's a little lame right? But soooo TRUE! That's how awesome he is!

I'd always been afraid of University calc but he makes it easy to learn and having him there 30 minutes before class in the mornings to go over practice problems was a great help.

Prof. Korytowski is a wonderful prof! The course so far seems alot easier than 1500. He comes to class 30 minutes early and does problems with us which is extremely helpful. One thing though, most of the time he just points things out instead of doing the examples with us. Darja Kalajdzievska is a better prof though. :)

What an EXCELLENT professor. I retook MATH 1500 because I wasn't satisfied with my mark with Darja, but I took him and got an A+. Darja's a great prof, but he's exceptional. Teaches class with great humour. Never wanted to miss a class. If you had the choice of picking him as a prof, definitely take it.

This prof was awesome! I was very worried going into calc for management, but he did a ton of examples in class, and made sure we had a lot of time for review for the exams. I would consider taking math as an elective if I knew I had him as a prof!

Absolutely incredible professor. I had no interest or aptitude in calculus going into the course, but Prof. Korytowski made this class enjoyable and completely doable. Course notes were far more helpful than the textbook, and were about a tenth the price. Totally prepared us for the final - it was exactly like the practice exams. Wonderful man.

Mr. Korytowski is a great prof. Too great to be described that I even had to write on the UofM evaluation form that he is the greatest ever and I should be taken seriously. His teaching is crystal clear and he doesn't undermine your knowledge. He marks a strictly though to an extent but its fun when he does it because he laughs over it. He is good!

He is an amazing prof. He makes the class lively too by making jokes once in a while. I used to look forward to his jokes. He is indisputably the best professor in the UofM: Donald Trim comes close and just as good,as regards math profs but Korytwoski would stand out any day. You definitely shud take his class, and look out for the word "cute" :)

arguably the greatest prof at U of M, unarguably by miles best prof I ever had, you won't need your text book tbh, just come to lecture classes, and the extra 50 minutes work session, and understand the concepts, you will be guaranteed a B without the textbook...

One of the few best profs Ive ever had, I was relatively good at the subject, and he can easily make anyone a master at it. Very entertaining, knows alot about calculus, likes to be realistic and honest with students.

Hands down my favourite prof. He is always in a good mood and really cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. He is very enthusiastic about teaching. Explains everything really well and makes the class really easy. He understands students and points out common mistakes and tells you exactly what to expect for exams.

This prof is amazing. He has printed notes so students can focus more on the lesson instead of writing. He uses humour to check if that class is still with him after a hard/long lesson. Awesome prof! Take Math 1500 with him if possible. I heard other profs for this course are not as good as him. You do not have to buy the textbook if you have him. TAKE MATH DURING THE SUMMER WITH HIM!!!! Professor Korytowski is amazing. He is so helpful and funny. His notes are clear and concise and he provides them all printed. His tests are easy but you need to work hard to earn your marks. One of the best U of M profs by far.

The best prof at the U of M. There are no others like him. Simply a gem. I wish he taught math 1700 in the summer as well. I think he is the best math instructor in Manitoba in my opinion.

He's probably the best professor in u of m. He explains the course material clearly and concisely, which makes reading the textbook an overkill. The course materials he provides are very important to learning the course. He pays attention to his student's needs and can tell when people don't understand what he's teaching and sometimes start over.

Made me love math again and one of the reason I am an engineer today.
