He is the most helpful professor that I have encountered. He is too clear on what he wants done. It is a very easy C in my opinion.

A Great Teacher, well organized, everything he talks about and what he tells the students to write down as notes are on the test and makes it easy to get a good grade in the class.

Good professor to take. Makes politics interesting. He can be very funny if you pay attention to the things he says. You have to work hard for an A.

Professor Loiterman is not for the faint of heart: you have to get a 93% to get an A. However, he provides online supplements for all of his tests. As long as you don't take him for honors you won't stress.

Dr. Loiterman is a challenging professor, but it's worth the hard work. He will interest you a lot and bore you a time or two, but there is NO better Political Science Teacher at Harbor. I've had Vega, Stansberry, and Loiterman. Take him. Take him, you won't regret it.

This is a great teacher! He not only communicates very well, He also makes himself very clear about what he expects! You never have to guess! It's all up to you! If you get an A then you earned it and you would still have to bust your but to get a C! He is one of the best instructors that I have had yet!

Very good teacher. He is a smart man and his syllabus is a little confusing, but he will make time for students that seek help. The class is not too difficult if you show up and read the book. He gives excellent study guides and different track options for different grades.

The only people that have something negative to say about prof. Loiterman may possibly be lazy students that aren't willing to communicate or do ACTUAL studying (and not just memorization). I can't show you how good a teacher Prof. Loiterman can be for those who WISH to learn. Take his class, be willing to learn and find out.

Dr Loiterman is an outstanding PS professor. He can be a bit melodramatic and over the top in his lectures since he expects his students to be passionate about politics as he is. I took this class in 1998 during an election and he was in Heaven. You will get what you give from Dr Loiterman.

Dr Loiterman is a GREAT Professor. I took his course in 1998 and loved it. He does not seem to like younger students but that's understandable. They tend to be politically apathetic. He's demanding but fair. I only earned a B because it's almost manditory to do the extra credit but it was a great course. Rich Butler

True, Dr.Loiterman is at times not clear, but I stayed and waited in between his classes, to ask him to clarify, and I found out that he was a wonderful person and truly helpful. He's letting me do extra credit. I'm going to try and stick it out!If you don't understand, ask for help!!!!! He won't bite!

Loiterman is a pretty easy teacher, all you have to do is nod your head and read what he tells you. He always calls me "The One Who Reads Everything," and makes me feel pretty smart, but to be honest, about 99% of the students in the class don't want to be there and slack off or don't participate, a 5 yr old can pass this class.

his lectures are boring and makes u sleepy. it's not because he is too old to teach, but his clarity is somewhat hard.

Loiterman is a great teacher! He is a bit odd but his heart is in a good place. You really looking for a class to pass, take his class. All but 1 quiz was online. He is repetitive but he gets it stuck in your head to pass. He is really dedicated to his students. He stays at school till late at night and is open to anyone. Great teacher and cool guy

Nice Guy. Slightly amusing course but Short of living and breathing Poli Sci don't expect anything higher then a c! I took & passed every test (including optional ones), wrought the paper, showed up in class. I got a C! If you are going in to Politics Strongly recommend him. Just put in above and beyond!

Extremely difficult to get an A. Extremely easy to get a C or B/pass though. Cares alot about his students and puts genuine faith into their abilities to learn. Must be a good listener to get through the class. All answers to quiz/test can be found in the book and during his lectures before they start.Specifies what he wants you to know in syllabus

DR. L is an alright teacher. He is a little strange but he wants his students to understand how politics are in every aspect of their life. His tests are easy because he goes over it before he does them, so just keep up with readings. A little confusing sometimes but ok

Dr. Loiterman is the reason I switched into being a poli sci major from a being a bio chem major. I took him a semester or two ago. Yeah he can be a bit crazy sometimes, but he really does want you to succeed. He offers extra credit and tries to connect political science with everyday life. The book is absolutely necessary to pass the class.

Don't take this if you're a whiner, not willing to get our of your comfort zone, and not open work hard to learn the content in depth. I took this class in the evening while still in high school. My schedule was very busy and he works with you. Dr. Loiterman will help you. He will provide infinite amount of internship opportunities. Take him!

Dr. Loiterman is one of the most passionate teachers at Harbor College. He has a genuine interest in the material he teaches and in the students taking his class. Provided you do the readings and LISTEN, you'll be just fine. Don't assume you know better than he does, because you really don't. Also, make use of the study guides on his website.

He is the best and passionate professor that I ever had. I had learnt lot in his class. He is kind and helpful professor. He always has time for his students. He stayed late night to help his students. He cares a lot about his students. He is truly fine instructor with depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. This was my best class in my entire degree.

I really enjoyed taking Poly Sci with Professor Loiterman. He was helpful and his lectures are interesting. I always felt that he genuinely cared for his students. This is what a college level class should be like; it should be different from a high school class and it should be more difficult.

Wonderful, I had loved the ideas that he had brought to the class. There was never a doubt that if I had trouble he would help, the proper means of discussing the topic had always brought a easy way of learning what he knew.

Very knowledgeable man who does a good job at keeping his lessons neutral. Not a charismatic lecturer, but he gets across the TOUGH MATERIAL okay in his monotonous tenor. You have to FOCUS and take notes to pass this class. This was a college level course - no coddling. You are expected to do research and come prepared. Not an "easy A."

You can see his passion for politics and teaching. His lectures are boring and long. He speaks to his students as if we don't know how to use computers. There is not much homework. Just read, read, read! There are plenty of quizzes which is based on the reading. His class would be easy if you read so make sure you do in order to pass!

it is not an easy A. the first time I had trouble because its my first time in college and English is not my first language, but i worked hard for it , he gave really good notes that you have to study, i prefer that print out all his notes and answer the questions. he is a very passionate teacher, hes there for you if you need help.

While he does teach in a very simplistic manner, it's clear that he is passionate about the subject. Almost all the tests are online and as long as you read the chapter the test covers, it's fairly easy to pass with a B or higher. Id especially recommended to anyone looking to fulfill their core requirements for a political science/history degree

his lectures are pretty easy to understand he breaks it down so it can be easy to understand all the quizzes are online but i did not find it super hard plus a lot of ex credit on pretty simple political subjects he tries to help all his students pass. plus he knows his stuff and saw MLK speak at ucla when he was a student so you know he's about it

The most inspirational man I have ever met. He literally is the reason I am where I am today. I owe so much to this man, he made me believe in myself when seemingly nothing could. Other students would get frustrated as he was very detailed in his explanations, but just listen to the guy and hes brilliant. Like having Bernie Sanders as a teacher.

Not a typical 3-unit political science course. He felt it was his duty and his alone to prepare us for the 4-year university experience. And in doing so he not only gave us enough homework and study for a 4 to 5 unit course, he also slanted the grading scale against us (need 93% for an A). A very rigorous course but you will learn much from it.

This man is literaly the reason Ive gone the way I have in life. He changed the way I viewed life, and is THAT one cool professor I will always look back at as a mentor and one of the biggest influences on my life. If you are passionate about humanity its an easy A. Just participate thats all he asks, if you dont like politics DO avoid THO!

Loiterman is one of the best teachers at LAHC. If you want to be treated like an adult and not have a grade get decided on how much you talk in class and BS your way through then take this class, Because of this class & Loiterman I am now in Law School at LMU as he helped me find what I am interested as I was involved in overturning prop 63 in CA
