Very skilled professor, slightly sarcastic yet entertaining, divides each class into a lecture / hands-on lab portion (this would be a good model for others to emulate), very helpful with regard to questions. Recommended.

My only problem with Bill Meacham is that he is so hot that he steals all of the good-looking girls away from the students. This guy is a great teacher, but he has definitely been a detriment to my love-life.

Bill is a terrific teacher. I also have him for CIS126DA (UNIX) and for Java I. He is smart, fun, funny and all around terrific. His classes are great. He makes learning fun.

great teacher! get to know him, show up to class, and do all assignments and you'll pass. He does powerpoints, notes, white board table work, and gives at least 2 weeks to finish the homework. a lot of tests are take home too! which is great. I would recommend him to anyone as he was recommended to me by a previous teacher! GO MEACHAM!

Meacham was an awesome teacher! He joked with our class and told cool stories sometime. That doesn't detract from learning at all. It's not an easy A class, but it's an Easy B per-say. He's really cool about office hours, etc. And his tests weren't too difficult. He's a cool guy, and you'll learn a lot.

I suck at math...but he gave me hope..tests are a bit challenging, but he will help you..teaches different ways to learn, which is confusing..but just get into small groups and work together. he scares you on the first day, but he is very funny...and you can do it!..On to 120.

Anyone who has Meacham as a math teacher should consider themselves BLESSED. I'm not even good at math but he is so helpful and is always available during office hours. His class is fun and hilarious, and he comes up with great projects. I am seriously going to miss this class when it's over.

Mr. Meacham is hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. He made it fun to learn, encouraged group discussions and made the class social which has never happened in my previous math classes. Mr. Mecham made Math much more fun! He encourages the whole class to get involved. Made great friends and had fun with the projects! Going in I thought no way will I pass this class. I never passed one test but showed up every class period, participated, and turned in every project and all homework and received a B!!

Straight forward with nerdy humor! I struggle with math and his explanations made sense to me unlike other professors I have had. And yes he will joke with students and they almost always joke back. Helpful outside class as well. He is also willing to work with you in tough situations.

He seems mean at first but only because he wants the motivated people to stay. He gets really mad if you attendance is not good, so you should try not to miss any classes. He explains things really well and is a great teacher. He helps you in class, and even more helpful when you go to his office hours. He wants to make sure you understand it.

Meacham was a pretty good teacher, he piles on a lot of projects at the end of the semester which killed my grade but other than that he's good!

LOVED him for math, I wish he taught the higher classes. He made sure everyone got it before moving on and you could tell he cared about his students. He liked to joke around with everyone and I looked forward to class. Very helpful and great teacher as long as you put in some effort

I didnt like the way he setup how his class was ran the hardest part about the class was him making the online homework due at 3am. All the homework was 20 to 40 questions with at least 2 questions in side of the question so it made homework very time consuming and makes you want to break your computer. He gives extra credit oppritunites on test.

Mini-lessons are easy A's, and homework you do online and have unlimited chances to get it right! Funny, educated, and makes class interesting using examples!

Such a great professor. Very helpful. Mini-Lessons and Homework are an easy A, you can do the questions as many times as you want until you get an 100. You can do exam reviews and get an extra 10 points on exam! I liked his style of practicing problems on the whiteboards with classmates. Show up, study, be respectful and you'll do great! Great man!

One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Really cares to help everyone pass the class. Yes there is homework but deadlines are set for a good amount of time and he will give you 2 extensions for when you need them. He drops two low grades in homework and mini lessons. The more you go to class they better off you are, do all extra credit!

I love Mr. Meacham! Great teacher & great guy all around, his class is fun and interactive and really prepares you for your next math class. The homework is online as well as quizzes and mini lessons, the quizzes are a super good indicator of what'll be on the test plus he gives extra credit. Super fun class

Great teacher, I took him for 121 and 150. Very helpful and wants to see you pass. Lots of board work, participation matters. Do your work and stay off your phone and you can easily get an A. Tells you exactly what you need to do to pass and emails back right away. He gives up to 10 point extra credit on exams... take advantage!

Mr. Meacham is such a keeper! If my schedule and degree plan could accommodate it, I'd definitely be taking him this summer. He is patient, tells cheesy jokes that crack me up, and genuinely cares about your success. I am the QUEEN of asking questions and he never hesitated to explain things in a way I could understand. This man deserves a trophy.

This teacher was excellent for an intro to Java class. I found his lectures very informative. This class is great for people that have never programmed before. I plan to take assembly from him. The people that are complaining that he is too easy, have experience with programming. I give him 5/5.

If you haven't programmed before, take Bill's class. He makes programming easy to understand. Java is a vey difficult language for your first language. Bill helps you get through it. Get ready for participation.

I am not sure why everyone is complaining that Professor Meacham is too easy. I worked hard for my grade. There were written tests, a lot of assignments and labs. Mr. Meacham cares about his students, he created a nice support network of labs hours where students got the help they needed.

I give Prof Meacham a 1010. His lectures are very detailed, I learned a lot about Bits and bites in his class. But, he is also really funny, he makes learning interesting. If you take his class don't expect an easy A. Get ready to work hard!

He puts his heart into teaching. When he sees you are having a problem he will go over the material, meet with you in office hours, get you a tutor or partner to work with. If you will work with him he will do whatever it takes to help you learn the material. Repeating problem areas and assigning extra credit. you learn in his classes.

This professor is a great computer science teacher. I told him, I didn't know what I was doing for a project outside of school. He got me the help I needed, I did well because of him. Now I am serving my first NASA internship because of him. His classes are challenging, with a lot of homework and labs. He cares about his students.

This class is pretty challenging if you don't have experience with assembly lang. The assignments are challenging at first but make sense later on. There were two quizzes and two tests, plus a group project. I didn't feel like there was enough time to complete the midterm. But the teacher is very nice and is sometimes lenient. Can be knowledgable.

Professor Meacham will do everything he can to help you learn programming. Office hours before class and in the tutoring room. He has tutors available 3 hours a day. Can be easily be reached by email. Gives really good lectures. Has online quizzes you can repeat many times. Homework & online videos to help. Can easily ask questions in class.

Great professor that teaches well. Lectures well and does a great job articulating everything necessary to pass. Grades will be behind, but that's because he's teaching the entire CS department. Free to ask questions in and out of class for feedback. Take this professor for CS and you'll know what you're doing. Don't forget your headers though.

Meacham is a great professor if you are willing to work for a grade and truly learn the course material. When taking assembly language, you cannot half ass it. You either learn it or you should switch majors. Meacham is extremely smart and if you can absorb some of this knowledge it will greatly help you in your future CS career. I recommend him.

Mr Meacham is a good computer science professor. He knows more programming languages than you could imagine. If you do not want to take the time to learn assembly language then you should not sign up to begin with. He handled the whole COVID issue very well and made the transition to online learning easy and engaging. I definitely recommend him.

I dont understand why there are three different William Meachems. There is one at Scottsdale. He is really funny for computer science! I have learned a lot from this professor. And his assignments are hard. He makes you work for your grade.

I got into an IVY league college because of Mr. Meachem. His classes are hilarious, but very informative! If you are serious about coding he will teach how to code!

I made the post below. It really seemed after this point of time things changed a good deal for the better. Some of it still was rather true. Though, he started to curve his tests was reasonable and simply cared. The caring part was genuine and it really made a difference. He is funny. When you ask questions in class you get to see his + characer.

Mr Meacham is the best professor. He is easy grader. If you have a late work! he will give you an opportunity to get extra credit. He is awesome and fair. Tests are related to his slides. Not the most organized professor, but his lectures are in line with the material. Tests cover a little more than what is talked about in class so the textbook is a good reference to clear things up. Where Professor Meacham shines is the quality of his assistance when you have a question. Always ask him questions, his explanations are top notch.

Instead of taking the few but long and grueling assignment approach most ASU professors take, he has many assignments that are all straightforward. He's a great professor, really passionate, but doesn't really grade anything until the end of the class. Very helpful in student hours, and tests are derived from the slides

Professor Meacham has engaging and informative lectures. If you show up to class in person instead of attending online you won't regret it, he's a fun professor to talk to and a really nice guy. When I didn't do a project properly he offered to help me fix the issues and even gave full credit after due date. If you're a hard worker he will see it!

Gives out a decent bit of homework, they are not big assignments. 90% of assignments can be done in an hour if you understood the materials from his lecture. If you get stuck, set up a meeting with him which he helps out well. I could've been better prepared for CSE 310 if we covered more C++, however overall, I learned a lot and recommend him.

Meacham is a really passionate guy, although his lectures can get a bit long winded, and there is a lot of time spent in lecture. It is worth it though as he usually goes over all info related to assignments. Assignments take a decent amount of work, but it's worth it to be prepared for the tests. He gives good help and study guides for the exams.

Professor Meacham is one of the best professors I've had across a few institutions. It is a real shame for SCC that he is retiring from in person classes, because he is easily one of the most compelling reasons to pick SCC over others. He has the best sense of humor and works very hard to ensure everyone is up to speed, and will explain anything.

Absolutely the greatest math professor and teacher I have ever had. Was willing to go out of his way to make sure I passed. Also very generous with extra credit. He was very understanding that math can be difficult and was genuinely there to help. Sadly, he is retired, but he earned it! He was a LEGEND!
