Absolutely the professor you want to have, if you don't mind learning something. He teaches clearly, knows his stuff, and will even admit if he does not know, a rare quality in a professor. Grading is fair- but YOU GOTTA KNOW THE MATERIAL!!!

this is the best professor i'v ever had. he teaches the material by explaining things and drawing clear pictures and diagrams. the workload is heavy. you must be in class and study. he has a fair grading system. u can still get an A if u mess up 1 test

sir billiam is the prime example of what a teacher should be. his non-perfunctory method of professing is only advanced by his inculcation of the material. he is the epitome of the fight against the degringolade of todays indoctrinators

The most challenging course I have ever had in my college education. It is very interesting. You will learn alot. If you study from day one you will get an A. Professor is very funy. He knows your limits.

Great teacher, very funny, teaches alot of info. Take good notes (you won't have to open the book) you'll land an A for sure. Note, does not help on tests themselves, if Q. is unfair will probably give credit.

Blast of a class, this prof. will have you going ape!the class feels like a two hour long conversation and without you noticing, you'll come out learning something, but beware! he has a very haphazard method of teaching... you'll figure out what he's trying to say but he'll have you sending arrows all over your paper...

THIS IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! He's so hilarious! On ur 1st day of class, he'd probably scare you because of his weird, whack-job personality; his jokes are just so spontaneous- u never c them coming!

Really great class! He entertains you and time flies! His examples are great and he is really clear. It takes a little while to get used to his humor, but once you do, you'll be laughing straight through the semester! Take him as much as possible!

An amazing professor!!!!He makes you work hard but its well worth it.You come out of class knowing your stuff cold.He'll keep you entertained for 3 hour lectures. Trust me you won't fall asleep. I recommend this teacher for anyone.

He is a fabulous professor! He entertains while giving great lectures. I worked hard for his class, but enjoyed every minute of it!!

Prof Meridan kept us entertained throughout the 3 hour lab and 2 hour lecture each week. He taught well and always answered our questions patiently. His tests were not easy, but if you study hard you will definitely succeed. I highly recommend Prof. Meridan for this course

Prof. Merdian is a great professor! He will work your butt off, but you know your stuff cold! Also, one BIG plus, that if you break a 90, he will give you an A! (instead of the deserved A-!) Additionally, the guy is a natrual comedian!

great Professor!! Tests are all multiple choice and he'll give points back if the whole class thinks its unfair!! He is really funny and class is a lot of fun! plus, you'll never forget what you learned! He loves to help you study and if you have any questions he'll gladly answer. seriously, take him whether or not you need this class.

Very clear and interesting. He keeps you on your toes.

Very good at explaining, very clear, and very interesting and funny- definitely not a boring class. His tests, however, are very technical and can be very hard. You must remember many details and names of bones and muscles. Even then it can be confusing. Either way you will come out knowing a lot.

I took merdian a few semseters ago and i went thru an awful semester.I dont know why there are such great reviews about him- I think he sucks. I absolutely despised him. He is so super nasty and doesnt filter what comes out of his mouth. His tests are murder and he is totally out to trick you. GOOD LUCK!!!

HERE'S THE REAL STORY!!! he is the best teacher touro has. you walk out of his class knowing the stuff cold. he sometimes has a heart of gold and sometimes can be callous. depends if he likes you. just be respectful,shut up and study very hard, you'll do great.however his tests are extremely hard and sometimes unfair.

THE BEST PROFESSOR IN TOURO!!He is very funny and will keep you entertained. He will make the class feel like a breeze, but every word he says will be on the test. Professor Merdian is very predictable just make sure to study HARD everything he says. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He only picks on the students that are not interested.

He is the best professor ever! You'll be prepared for whatever field you're entering, but be ready for a lot of studying.

Funny guy!

wow funny yet a great teacher

I've taken this Prof. for Bio 2 and both A&P's. He is one of the best! Tests are multiple choice, but you have to know your stuff. Just take good notes and ask questions. He teaches everything very well. Answers all your queries. He pokes fun and is a little 'crazy' but he is NOT mean. You will come out of this class knowing the subject cold.

A great professor! Great notes that you got to know cold, but when you do you will get an easy A. Fun filled lectures due to his sense of humor. Overall I recommend him for a great class that you will learn your stuff and enjoy doing it!

Hard but worthwhile. You'll thank him when you are in grad school.

I had him for bio 101, 222, and 223. he is the best professor in the school. he teaches it well and he is really fun. this past semester he gave difficult tests but he claims he wouldnt do it again. basically, if he gave any other classes i would take them in a second.

VERY FUNNY- YOULL LAUGH;U HAVE TO WORK, ITS NOT A EASY A;IF U STUDY HIS NOTES AND STUDY HARD, YOULL BE FINE AND DO WELL, U JUST HAVE TO BE WILING TO PUT IN THE TIME AND EFFORT. TESTS ARE 80% STRAIGHT FWD QUESTIONS..AND THE OTHER 20% IS TRICKY, U HAVE TO THINK, OR WASNT TAUGHT; THOSE WHO STUDIED GOT A A! ITS WORTH IT!

Seriously the best bio prof that touro has. I took him for A&P. He was so clear in how he taught. He makes the classes really interesting and engages us in the class. A&P can be a boring subject but I never felt bored ever in the two semesters I took him. He jokes around a lot and really takes an interest in the students. Definitely take him.

I took prof. Merdian a while ago and have yet to meet a better professor. He is the best professor around in all aspects. He is clear and teaches well and is funny. Class is in no way boring and we always learned a lot. Take him!

Fantastic teacher

Incredible teacher. He explains things really well. He does not tolerate nonsense but by now you are in college so be responsible and mature. If you take good notes, and show up to every class, understand the lectures, and study well you should have no problem getting an A. There are easier A profs for A&P but not as good quality as Prof. Merdian

So happy I decided to take him rather than another A&P prof at Touro. He is rlly funny and teaches so well. take him

HE IS SO GREAT!!!!!! I really liked having him over the summer... you must really know your stuff. Straight memorization is not enough- understanding is key for his class. He is funny, and teaches in a very clear understandable way. Don't get offended by his jokes... they really ARE funny!

TAKE HIM! Hysterical - great sense of humor - if you dont have a sense of humor you wont appreciate him. If you want to know your stuff you WILL appreciate him... If you know the material its an easy A! Listen in class and take notes and study to UNDERSTAND! He teaches well and cares! RECOMMENDED!

Professor Merdian is a great teacher. I took his class over the summer. I had to work hard but it was definitely worth it. I wish I was bale to take him for Anatomy and Physiology 2 as well.

Take him. Almost everyone of my friends I have spoken to regret not taking him. During the year, he does teach later at night- but he will give you the education and knowledge that you need to succeed graduate health programs. His classroom environment beats the other A&P teachers in Flatbush.

Best class I have ever taken in my life! Every single class was fascinating! Although people say his class is difficult, I found it easy because it was taught so well, there wasnt much studying I had to do on my own time. And it wasnt a burden to study for this class, but a real pleasure!

I took professor merdian a few years ago, and as a medical student I still use his lessons as a foundation for further anatomy learned. He is funny, clear and is a true master of the material. I loved his stories, accent, jokes, and his lectures were a pleasure to be in. THANKS MERDIAN!
