God Awful. I am a 3.8 student and take my classes seriously and still find myself strugling to pass his rediculous quizzes. This man is totally unreasonable as far as his expectation of what an INTRODUCTORY class should focus on. Very Booring, hard to flooow his lame-a** lectures.

He is really boring. Hated his quizes and tests. The quizes are about 20 T & F questions. His test are worse, 90 questions T & F. If you do not like true and false question don't take any of the courses he teaches. All through class you take notes, your hand feels like it will fall off.

Hard teacher, true-false tests that are impossible even if you study. Boring, all you do is take notes all class, no student participation or extra credit.

You don't know boring until you've sat through this class. He does all T&F and tricks you. He talks and you can't even follow him. He's a nice guy, but he needs to know that it is a begining class. We don't know all about stocks and bonds yet.

I must agree with everyone elses reviews. At first I felt sorry for the man because he has a disability, but it seems like he knows economics like the back of his hand but has no clue how to teach it. He lectures as if we already knew what he is talking about. I faught hard to stay awake and took notes on everything he said and still failed.

OK so today was the first class of the semester and after having him once before and failing I thought ok maybe he got better. Nope! Six people walked out of class within the first half hour. MCC why haven't you fired this guy yet?

Very hard to pass class, you will struggle. My class started off with 30 people and ended up with about 8 people left. Tests are desgined to make you fail because they are all trick questions. Warning DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER

Most ridiculous prof at mcc. Lectures were what seemed like pure ramblings, to the extent where when it was time to ask questions I was unable to, because I couldnt comprehend anything I learned that class. Tests are all true and false.. did great the first 50, but got overwhelmed by 70 that i started guessing. really hurts your brain. lol. no joke

William Metz is the most deplorable teacher I've ever had at Macomb. Professor Metz doesn't know anybody and will not give you the time of day. All of his tests and quizzes are true and false. He plays mind games with you on the exams and quizzes and doesn't even pass out a teacher review at the end of the term. Do your self a favor and pass on him

OMG This has to be the worst class I have ever had!!!!! He teaches it like a Masters Degree Program Accounting class. Most of the students are not getting it, I am graduating in May and this will be my worst grade!!!!! Don't take this class you won't understand it!!!!

REALLY boring. Never bought a book. Brought my laptop and was online for the full period of class. Had a quiz once a week. Exams are STRAIGHT from the quizzes. On the final exam he even tells you which quiz #s will be on the exam. Got a B overall.

THE MOST BORING TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD!!!!! Do not take his class unless you enjoy listening to a very monotone man speak for two hours. Notes were not comprehensible at all, which made the quizes and test impossible. The only upside was the reviews given right before the quizzes but not worth it at all. Do not take him. He is the worse teacher at Macomb. I tried him two times & withdrew both times. I know other people who did the same. I ended up taking Dale Erickson & learned alot! Take Dale & you will love his class.

First off we didn't have a book. The book we where told to get was his lecture notes. He grades tests wrong, and only talks about what he does with his money. Don't take his class.

Horrible teacher. Very rare interaction from students. Very boring, he just talks and talks. Do not take him. On a optimistic note, he knows what he is talking about but has a very had time teaching it to students. There are better teachers than Metz.

By far, the least effective professor I've had at two seperate Univerities/Colleges. His book, that he wrote mind you, is useless...they're literally his lecture notes. No glossary, index, etc. Examples are not relatable, and lectures contain language most entry level Econ students do not know. I recommend to stay away.

Worst teacher I've ever had at any level. Class is 100% lecture. He talks as if he's reading right out of a textbook. Very confusing, frustrating class. Extremely boring!! Most of the class dropped out by the end. Although I got a B+, I didn't learn anything. 75% of your grade is 3 exams. Do yourself a favor and take something else! I wish I did.

Awful!!! Made the mistake of taking a mid-semester start class and it is among the worst decisions I've made. A quiz every week that is true/false but the questions make little sense and be extremely confusing. 100+ question exams that are all true false as well. He tells the class repeatedly about his investments, veering from the lecture (which is boring as hell). If you get lost or confused in this class you can't even look at the book for clarification because it's a study "guide" he wrote!

Mr.Metz has got to be one of the worst professors I had and will ever have. He rambles on and on about things that no sense. He used his own notes and wrote his class textbook which was TERRIBLE! I had nothing to look back at. Don't take him if you don't have any background in economics.

First off, let me start off by saying he is a great guy. Cool guy to talk to and a kind hearted individual of society.. Now that I got that out of the way.. DROP THIS CLASS.. Like yesterday.(that's how quick you need to drop it). He lectures the WHOLE hour he gives no extra credit, the Exams are the only things that are graded, which are HARD!

Professor Metz is older and has trouble with technology all the time which is always frustrating. Lots of non sense in his painfully long lectures. Gets off topic very easily and exams are very difficult.

I HATE THIS CLASS he will talk for 2 strait hrs with no pauses or seguays and expect u to know wtf hes talking about. He wrote the study guide that we had to pay for as a material for his classand hes proud of it. Take this class if you enjoy being bored and learning nothing or if you have a perticular fondness of countrys being refered to as "she"

Will never take a class with him again. Does not encourage class participation, long lectures and seems to just want to hear himself talk. Uses text he created himself which is just a series of questions so getting a jump on subject matter is impossible.

Professor Metz knows what he is talking about. However he is a terrible teacher. He teaches from his own study guide NO BOOK. The lectures are long and he doesn't care to explain anything. As I said he knows what he is talking about but he doesn't explain the information. He doesn't care about his students.

He's not organized. He goes off on random tangents. He once did not have a proper answer key for a quiz and marked everyone in the class wrong for half the questions, and refused to thoroughly check everything since he did know all the answers, but still insisted that he messed up and for us to give him our correct total. So, start off with lecture.. well great !!! He talks out of topics and has no eye contact with students but the air in his classroom .. I liked him for a moment but then comes to the grading ... he graded me wrong for what is correct ,.. I just don't know what to do and what to say.. I believe others got the same problem as I do as well..

The joke of a textbook is literally his scrambled notes that someone printed and bound - he and Macomb are ripping students off like this. The "book" is to take notes, it does not explain anything.

I attended every single class, sat in the front, took notes, asked questions, and still had to withdraw from this class. I would ask Professor Metz to repeat himself, and he accused me of not paying attention. When I would go talk to him after class for clarification, he told me that he would not help me. The worst professor ever.

Expect no breaks if you take him for a 3 hour course. On exam days bring your book because after the exam he lectures until the end of class. Hard to follow his notes. Not a fun class all lecture, no homework, so grade is based just on quizzes and exams.

I am 100 percent sure if I took this class with anyone other than dr. Metz as the professor I would've done okay in the class. Somtimes I wondered if I was in Econ or Politics. Spends too much time expressing his political views. I'm no Trump supporter but I admit by the end of the course I was getting tired of his anti Donald Trump lectures. Makes you buy his book (not even the required book, just one he wrote) as a rental so you can't sell it back later.

He gets off topic way too much. Full 3 hours no breaks. Will not help you out and doesn't use a textbook but a study guide he wrote. I would never recommend this class to anyone with him as your professor. He's very opinionated and if you skip class you will fail. Very monotone and his lectures will make you bored and want to leave. Avoid him.

Your grade is 100% made up of true and false questions on quizzes and tests. He does not use Canvas so its difficult to keep track of grades and his schedules. The classes are 3 hours of Lecture, no participation, in class assignments, projects or homework. There are no objective or essay questions. The book he wrote is just sentence fragments.

I absolutely hated class with this professor. His 'textbook' was basically a spiral bound notebook with zero information. His lectures consisted of him talking about whatever he heard on public radio/the news, his wife, and basically review of what he said the week before. I dropped out last minute so I couldn't get my money back

True and false answers only. Test every single week. Goes over two lectures before even reviewing the test you are taking that day. Honestly worst class Ive ever taken
