OK there is plenty of reading but he is the MAN accept no substitutes

you have to do the work but it's worth it. He's so cool!
I never liked history until I took his class! He's great!
hes awsome he once put a simpsons and red hot chili peppers reference in on lect
Exiting,energetic lecture w/lots of works.BUT many chance to learn,think&ENJOY!
He *cares* about his students, moves mountains, helpful, funny, interesting
He's like a friend and a teacher. He makes being a freshman much easier, and he
If you hate history, take him and you'll love it. Best there is.
Talks really fast in lecture, he's the greatest!
The Best Professor. Fun and Energetic
No one can compete!
Extremely energetic. He makes history exciting. Don't believe...take him!
do the work. he's the best prof. cares about his students & makes class fun
take him. take him. he is the bestest prof ever.
Who said nothing is perfect?!
Very knowledgable, class is great; you learn a lot; papers a bit tricky.

i have never had a professor who cares more about the students.
He is the best! Not only do you actually learn something but he also makes it fun
He made American History fun. A very passionate, knowledgable history professor.
Encourages "deep" thoughts. Superb professor, great guy.
Thinks he's The Big Cheese. Loud, pompous and zzzzzzz.
The Big Cheese is good when coupled with Diet Coke and a great sense of humor.
good teacher. entusicastic, fun, u need to work hard

Verry funny, makes history interesting and fun, the best PROF at pace
He's the best professor at Pace
The best teacher at pace, caring and really smart
simply amazing, caring, intelligent, class is a good time
This is the nicest man on the face of the earth!
Bill is great!!!
Great guy love the way he teaches, but a lot of reading has to be put in
You'll definately learn. Bill makes it an experience rather than class, participation is a must!
you will learn as long as u read what u are supposed to .he is very enthusiastic about teaching his students.
best teacher ever! put in the work and u will love this guy and his class. wonderful man.
GREAT GUY! You put in a fair amount of work, he knows his stuff, and he does everything he can to get you to do well. Definitely worth taking.
bills the man but the games a little unfair at times..no real system of grading, but there's no tests..if you don't like to participate and talk in class..DO NOT TAKE HIM!!..other than that he's a great teacher, but you hafta put the effort in to do well
You will learn a lot in his class. But he assigns tons of reading, and he gives take home tests that take a lot of work if you want an A.
Bill is easily the best professor at Pace. If you have an opportunity to take a class with him I highly would advise you to. Very intelligent, and very interesting methods of teaching. I dont know how I'm gonna make it without having him next semester!
Bill is the greatest thing to happen to pace! He is the most helpful person i have ever met in my entire life. if you have a question, he will either have the answer or find it out for you within hours...at the very least, he knows exactly who to go to.
Bill is AMAZING - He was born to teach Constitutional History. Take his and you would come out of every lecture feeling so empowered. He is wonderful, VERY helpful and extreamly smart..you cannot go wrong here.
Great guy, if his class is closed go the first day and he'll definitely sign you in. The man rocks and makes the constitution interesting.
Grading is very vague and sometimes favor certain students. Lots of reading, and tons of work. Participate and try real hard and you might make it.
i absolutely love this guy he's great...he assigns a lot of reading but he is veryy devoted to his students. Any class he teaches will be great no matter how boring it sounds. definately take him you wont regret it!
bill is great..id be very lost without him..he answers any questions your unclear about..and cares about you so much.. if there is one thing at Pace that is awesome..its Bill
a great man, he is so helpful, will answer any questions you have, i dont know what i would do without his help, hes amazing and very dedicated
bill for president
He gives alot of reading and work. He gives great notes and you will learn alot. But if you are a lazy person and wants an easy A. He is not the guy. I recommend this professor to upper class students (seniors and juniors).
Bill is one of the best professors at Pace. The class is not hard, however, you need to put in effort and participation to receive an A.
a lot of readings. tough grader. not an easy A. but you will learn a lot
Class seems to fly b/c lectures are interesting and he's a funny guy. Very smart and likes to play devil's advocate during discussion. 90%, if not all assignments are take home (even midterm & final)but are long and tedious. Be realistic about the work and u'll get an A. Not an easy class at all.
He's really good. Very specific with details, which you'll find to be a plus when writing his essays. Just do a good job on the papers and participate in the discussions and you'll get a good grade. He makes the class very interesting. I enjoyed it very much.
I had Bill for History of the American Woman in the Spring Semester of 2005. I enjoyed his class very much. I learned a lot of things about trends throughout women's history that I had never before known about. I like the way he organized the informatio
had him years ago, for amer rev, great guy and had a great simulation..he is funny and insightful
A well-organized history class. The discussions and group work were two important aspects of the game.
Very, very helpful and clear on what needs to be done.
Bill is awesome. He makes learning fun through the "games" as well as the post-game wrap up. I never thought I would learn so much about Puritan New England. I am generally horrible at history, but somehow this semester was different. Do the reading!! It will save you in the game.
frist off...Bill is AWESOME!!! secondly, the games tend to be a bit confusing in the beginning but you figure things out as you go. the readings are a must in terms of background info and helping you along. and thrid, you do need to work in this class but it's still fun.
Bill is an excellent professor who really cares about his students. He loves what he teaches, which is a definite plus. Take his class!
Bill is great, his class is interesting and informative and he presents in a fresh, unique way. He is extremely helpful and accessible and i would highly recommend taking his class.
Bill is an amazing teacher. Both his teaching methods and his enthusiam- listen to him talk about history and you'll feel enthusiastic too- are great motivators to learn. He is always ready to talk, and to help you understand, anything about the course- and beyond if you feel like talking to him about more. He is the paradigm of teaching.
Bill is a great professor. He always finds ways to make his students remain interested. He cares alot for the subject and the class and it shows in the games he puts together. I would definitely recommend the class, it's fun and definitely not boring, and teaches you alot about history without you even realizing.
Bill is the man.
Bill is very passionate and emotional when he speaks. This makes the class a fun learning experience. Bill is also very involved with problems that anyone may have inside or outside the class. He is one the best History teacher I have had.
Hilarious, very entertaining guy, not hard at all as long as you dont fall asleep which you wont
If you're taking this as an honors class, he grades really hard, and it seems like his method of determining grades in the games is arbitrary. But, he is very interesting and dedicated. I loved the games, they were confusing at first but gradually became intense and competitive, even if you didn't think they would be. He's an awesome teacher!

He is not a nazi. He's a nice guy who knows his history. It is a foolish thing to call such a very wise and caring professor a nazi. Believe me, I am Jewish and I haven't seen any biased or racial thing about Dr. Offutt. He may not be the best pro that I have had, but he doesn't hate u. He just wants u to do well.
I am not even a student at Pace yet (I begin in the fall) an so far Bill has been an amazing help as my honors advisor. He gave me a great schedule, teachers, and classes. I am soooo glad he is my advisor.
I had Bill for my UNV 101, and two HIS courses (113M and 280) and I he is my honors advisor..he is the greatest...knows his stuff and if cant answer right away he will research and give u an answer the next class...take lots of notes and participate, you'll do fine in his courses
Bill is pretty awesome. He is very passionate about American history, which makes the class more interesting. You have to play games, which are very interesting and keep interest. Even if you say something rediculous Bill doesn't correct you, he lets the other students do it, so we are fight with each other and its fun.
bills the man-- his classes are always so entertaining--never a dull moment and you dont realize how much you learn from his ver different ways of teaching-- hes an awesome professor and you should take him any chance you get
He is helpfuul
bill is the man!!! he is so helpful with all the assignments. there is never a dull moment in his class. there is a lot of work and reading. not an easy A. very fair with the grades though. i really liked his class.
Bill is very enthusiastic about History. But, be careful! He might randomly burst out in excitement and scare you...Anyway, Bill has a way of helping you comprehend instead of drilling data into your head. And, his games will be confusing in the beginning, but you will understand them more as time transgresses. In fact, you may even like the games.
Bill is probably one of the best professors ever. He really knows his stuff and makes the class interesting. Also his jokes aren't lame like typical professors'! I love the fact that he gives us interesting trivial facts that will only help u in a jeopardy game. def take his class! but prepare to READ!
This class is unlike any other class you have previously taken and the professor makes a history class interesting instead of it being another boring history class.
Early American Legacy was really brought to life. Take any of his classes- he'll help you out so much. He is also a great person to have a relationship with on campus. Know him it'll do you well.
This is an example of how great of a professor Bill is, and this is not complete ****. We are sitting in a circle, a bunch of Bill's honors students, discussing how much better the NYC campus is than Pleasantville.. cuz we have Bill. And how much our scholastic lives would suck without Bill. and if Bill left, we would follow hahahah
Bill is the best professor you will ever have. I did not transfer first semester because I knew I wouldn't have an adviser anywhere near as helpful as Bill. He is really intelligent and witty. TAKE ANY CLASS YOU CAN WITH BILL. William Offutt is the prime example of just an all around wonderful human being, and that is a rare thing to say.
I was soo lucky to get Bill as a professor. He is the most funniest, nicest and knowledgable professor I have had in a while. The work and readings are fun to do, and his classes are always interesting. Bills the best yoooo
Bill is just great!!! soo funny and veryyy helpful!! he could fix any problem you have...surely one of Pace's best assets!!!! with a very huge following..everybody loves bill!lol
He is sooo annimated and weirdly funny..it was an interesting class I defiantely did learn alot and he is very helpful he will answer any question you have in a timely manner...Take him you will love it
I took him years ago and I still remember how good he was! One of the best professors out there! Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny!
Power & Fate of the Republic... at first (the Puritan half of the class), I hated it... this part is hard if you do not have knowledge of the Bible. However, the sencond half of the class (the American Revolution) was sooo much fun! Bill is so animated, and he really does teach you things about history that you never knew. (& he's a great advisor!)
Easy grader, class is not that interesting. All you do is play a game that will help break friendships.
Bill is the most laid back UNV teacher. I haven't had any problems with him. He's easy to talk to and his class is simple and sweet. UNV is a stupid class to begin with but if you have to take it, you need to get Bill.
Bill is a very laid back teacher for UNV 101. He makes sure that his students complete the required assignments for a UNV 101 class, but does so in a simple, easy-to-follow manner. His teaching style makes it easy for students to learn and have fun at the same time. Bill only makes you complete the basic UNV 101 work and nothing extra.
Bill is the best teacher ever. He is so laid back and easy to talk to. There is virtually no work for his class and if there is its little assignments that can be done in 10 minutes. Bill makes a bs class interesting and i want to have him as a teacher again
The Early American Legacy is a very interesting class. Bill teaches in a very hands on way and forces us to get invovled in his clsses. His approaches on teaching on either really loved or hated but most of the people i have spoke to loved it.
Bill is amazing. He is always there to help, and he is just an all around cool guy. The class he has to teach is somewhat unnecessary, but he knows it and doesn't try to make it what it is not. Instead he focuses on what is actually pertinent to a college freshmen and makes you laugh while he does it. I plan on taking him in the future!
AMAZING! best teacher and advisor! the american legacy is a great class for freshman to take! so hands on so fun so interesting! hes the best! and really fair
the prof i met so far at pace, the most helpful in the whole school. if you ever need ANYTHING bill is the man to go to ! he makes civil war so much fun even if you dont like the subject! bill you are the MANnNNNnnN !
Cool guy, advises well. Sometimes annoying though.
Bill is the MAN!!! Best professor an adviser!!! Makes history class really fun, allowing students to actively take over the class instead of dictating boring lectures. He is chill, approachable and so much fun!! If you don't like history and want an interesting professor, TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You play two games. They're hard and complicated. Lots of yelling and twists.
Bill is the best teacher I have ever had!! All of you who say that he is hard or unhelpful or whatever clearly did not try at all in his class and were just looking for an easy A. Bill is not easy but he is knows what hes talking about and explains it in a funny quirky way!! Bill is the best, and I'll be taking him next semester again in HIS280!
Cool guy, extremely helpful adviser. His class was a lot of fun, but sometimes annoying (if you weren't in the mood). Fairly easy grade.
This was a learning community my first semster freshman year and I absolutley loved it. Bill is a great advisor and teacher! And he made history fun and active (and I met lots of friends I have now in that class) When you right your debate/ analyisis that is your paper, so take that part seriously.. but other than that ir is all fun! Great!
Very smart man! will help you with anything you need, makes himself extremely available to be reached. Never wastes our time. Gives plenty of time for assignments to be done. Had no interest in the subject but now I am considering pursuing it. If you have the chance TAKE HIM! you wont regret it!
Oh Bill. There is nothing that can be said that would do you justice. You are THE MAN! What a wonderful guy, wonderful professor. EXTREMELY Knowledgable, and completely available whenever you need him. Is constantly on AOL and answers your emails within the hour. Especially if you are a history major, do not leave Pace without taking him!
Ammazzzing! Was extremely helpful in everything, he writes outlines on the board before class starts so you know exactly what he is lecturing on at every moment. He encourages class participation and always leaves time for questions.
He is a great teacher but I think his class was too much work. Weekly reading of about 100 pages plus other components of the requirements. Interview paper, midterm and final papers. Enjoyed the class discussions but if you have no time for work, dont take this course!
Professor Offutt is, by far, one of the best professors at this institution. Readings were relevant, helpful, and he did reference the readings. attendance is not mandatory, but I genuinely enjoyed his lectures. I recommend attending, participating, and asking him for help--regarding school, personal, political, ANYTHING! Bill: A+
Wonderful, he is a great professor. He is there to help his exams and final are all take home and all are essays. Make sure you attend class because his notes are helpful when writing the essays. His class is easy if you go to class and pay attention.
Probably one of the best professors in any department at Pace. Extremely helpful, always answers emails promptly and makes an already neat class even mor interesting. Freshman - take one of his classes early. He'll be helpful your whole 4 years!
Bill is great. He's very enthusiastic during lectures and really knows his stuff. He's always willing to help his students and makes history fun. I'd definitely recommend his classes to anyone
Bill is a really nice guy. He knows how to get students involved and he's a really funny guy. Class is interesting and ecourages arguing/debates.Papers are graded kinda harshly though, so make sure you include lots of sources.
Bill is the greatest professor here at Pace. He is an amazing teacher, but an even greater person. He is hilarious and makes you want to come to class and learn. Always willing to help- always in his office when you need him and always responds to emails quickly. GREATEST MAN EVER! WISH HE WAS MY GRANDPA
Bill is great! take him!! it is an easy A class if you do the work. alot of reading neededs to be done. throughout the semester you have thre papers all of them are fairly easy however very long! going to class is very important and useful when writing the papers. always avaiable for help while you are writing your papers!
2 amicus briefs, 1 judge role,1 plantiff/defendant role (presentations in front of class) + 1 takehome midterm, + 1 take home final. Pointless class. Don't take this if you really don't have to. Its not hard though. But reading and knowing the cases is required to be able to do good on the midtem, final, and your assigned case that you pick.
I had Offutt for my University 101 class. He is the most friendly teacher at Pace. He helped me numerous times fixing my schedule when no one else cared. He is such a sweetheart, I recommend taking ANY of his classes. If you want a teacher who actually cares about how you're coping at Pace, he is the one.
He is a very good professor. Extremely passionate about what he teaches and will make you love the class too. He is very, very clear during lectures and makes sure that everyone is following him. Class participation is a big thing for him, so make sure you participate in discussions and such. Definitely take his class, I Highly recommend him.
he is an amazing professor if you have him for a class, but also an amazing advisor. hes very into the subject, and will make it interesting Hes been at pace for like 22 years & knows all the ins and outs, will give you advice on other professors' classes, and is ALWAYS available to take questions on aim or by email. an excellent asset to pace
He is the best UNV teacher there is. He helps you SO much. For real, I would be completely lost without his help. Also, for freshman, you don't have to read the 'mandatory' book asigned in the summer, and he only makes you come to his class for one hour instead of the two you are scheduled.
Not really heavy on his teaching style. Focuses a lot on participation. Likes to get the class involved. And will criticize your papers heavily. But hey who at pace doesn't do it? He is a cool guy with a great personality. We just had 1 paper to do 25 pages for the whole semester. I would only take him if I really had to.
Nicest man here! Wow. He is so helpful! Answers all my questions and has a great personality! So lucky to have him as an advisor!
Bill is the most helpful professor I've had here at Pace. If you have him as an advisor USE HIM. HE WILL HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING. and he will be more than happy to, thats the beauty of it!
Bill Offutt is the coolest professor on campus. He always makes sure you enjoy your class (whatever it is) and that you are involved at Pace University in some way. He. Is. The. Bomb.
A very helpful professor, his enthusiasm and energy keeps you awake and involved. A lot of readings, but an interesting course. LOVE HIM TAKE HIM <3!!
easily the Best teacher at pace, very helpful and funny, everyone should take him atleast once!!!!!
BILL IS AMAZING! TAKE HIM! he is available and ready to help his students with anything. Not only is he a great teacher, he is an awesome advisor! I took his civil war class, and i think he's the only one on this earth who can actually make it interesting LOVEEE HIMMMMM!!!! <3 =)
Best teacher by far at pace. I take his classes purely because he teaches them. He's really fun and really nice and everyone should take at least one of his classes
Bill is by far the best professor that I have ever had. He never makes you feel stupid and you can go to him about anything! He is really helpful and goes above and beyond the call of a professor. I take his classes just because he teaches them, then I end up loving them!
Professor Offutt is very enthusiastic regarding the subject matter. He is extremely fair and helpful and is clear when giving assignments. I recommend this professor
Great guy, very interesting professor, but his "reaction to the past" teaching games basically turn the classroom into a verbal hunger games scenario. Expect heated debates, quasi-personal insults, and general negative feelings towards most of your fellow students. I go to a classroom to learn, not make enemies. Please teach a normal class..
I only had Bill for UNV 101, which is a class that doesn't require grading, so as an actual professor, I'm not really sure how helpful he is (although other students in my UNV 101 class had him and they claimed to love the class). Bill doubled as my advisor, and he always had the answer to all of my questions. He was also quick to respond to emails
Oh my god. No words to describe him. He is a diamond! He will dedicate all of his time to helping you with anything and answers emails so quickly! He is hilarious and smart and is probably one of Pace's best assets. Spend as much time as you can with him!
Best professor i have ever had. you have to actually show up to his class if you plan on taking it but they're always hilarious (and you learn a lot at the same time!). He will spend as much extra time with you to make sure you understand everything. Pace's best asset (never let him leave)
Bill is Pace's greatest asset. I honestly don't think the honors college would survive without him. He is the most knowledgable member of the faculty I've ever met, like a Pace encyclopedia. Helpful, honest, hilarious, generous, and just genuinely amazing.
He has been my favorite professor so far at Pace. In the beginning I thought his class was going to be hell but it was actually the opposite in the end. Expect to do a lot of reading and hard work, but its a really fun class. He doesnt take attendence but its important to show up to class. He makes history fun.
Great teacher, eccentric and passionate about the subject; will help students if asked but expect comprehensive work.
Awesome guy. Especially if you're in honors, he's such a great asset.
Bill is one of the best professors I've ever had. He truly wants you to succeed, and he makes even the most boring material fun.
Bill is literally the best teacher I've had at Pace so far. I loved him so much and it was such a fun class. I first thought that learning about the Civil War was going to be boring, but he made it super fun and he really cares about your grade and that you do good. He's really easy to talk to and really funny.
Love Bill! Excellent professor. He makes even the dry topics interesting. I would recommend him to anyone!
Bill's "Reacting to the Past" class is one of the most fun classes I have ever participated in, and it is a very good way to remember history. The class is very improv/speech heavy, and you do have to do quite a bit of work to achieve victory on your side. Those who are shy, looking for an easy grade, or shored up on work should reconsider.
Bill is incredible. He's so passionate about his lectures and passionate about his students performing well. I've never met a more dedicated professor. This class was my absolute favorite!
Bill is one of those professors that truly cares about his profession. His reacting to the past class is one of the best aspects of Pace University as a whole. If you can decide to do anything with your education, take one of Bill's classes.
Bill is the best. He's always willing to help with anything you need, and he understands that UNV101 shouldn't be too much work or take too much time.
He's a very good teacher, and is always very fun in class.
Best professor I've ever had
Bill's a really good professor to have for UNV101 because he really cares about you personally which should be really difficult for someone who comes in contact with so many different people on a daily basis, but he makes it seem easy
Bill is so helpful and knowledgeable. Even if you're not an honors student I would recommend you get to know him. He knows everything.
I took Bill for History - American Civil War and I LOVE HIM. He is such an amazing teacher and i learned so much during his class and lectures. He is very accessible outside of class and cares very much about the students. 10/10 would recommend him
Oh, Bill. He is such a great professor. Nice, caring, intelligent, and knows how to teach. Never thought I would look forward to showing up to a history class twice a week, but he makes it fun. I would definitley reccomend.
He's a stickler for grammar. Make sure you proof read your essays. *****IMPORTANT: Repeating evidence is not proof.
Bill is my favorite professor I have had since I started college. He is a really good teacher and very nice. This class consists of a lot of partcipation so be ready to talk in class. Besides that the class is the usual amount of work. I would take him again.
Bill is one of the best professors are at Pace and it is a privilege to learn from him
Mr. Offutt is an amazing teacher and even greater human being. He is knowledgable, respected and very well organized. It was a pleasure participating in this course.
Creates a really great atmosphere, interesting class.
Bill really makes your mind, body, and soul go to a different place. This class has taught me more than any class Ive ever taken before.... and Ive taken A LOT so far. Please please please, if you can, take his class!!
Bill is awesome! He is willing to work with you for your benefit and for you to get the best out of Pace. UNV with him is really great because you do learn about not only navigating school but also the outside world.
Bill is an incredible professor who makes class time go by quickly with his Reacting to the Past game and awesome sense of humor. As long as you participate in class, do all the work, and come to class you will receive a good grade in the class. I highly recommend having him as your professor.
Bill makes our UNV101 Honors class a lot of fun. He's honest, hilarious, and straight-forward. He encourages group communication which has helped in terms of making friends and helping everyone find comfort within each others shared experiences of being freshmen, whether good or bad. Also don't miss out on honors Harry Potter night. You'll know why
Bill is one hell of a guy and if you ever have the chance to take his teaching of the Uni101 class, do it. In some of the first classes, he takes you on a tour of the area and really gets you out into the city and exploring the world in which you now live and/or go to school. He knows what he's talking about and listen. You'll do great.
This class is a lot of work but Bill makes sure it's just as much fun. I learned about the perspectives and ideas of the revolution more than the dates, which is a nice counterbalance to most history lessons.
The reacting to the past class was interesting, but a lot more work than anticipated. You have to do a lot of reading to really understand your character.
The class itself is about the civil war but he teaches through acting out simulations set in that time (cheesy but tons of fun, much better than any lecture class youll take). He uses all of the books he recommends but theyre cheap and necessary to get quotes and stuff. Bills a great professor and he makes the class fun and connected.
Took this class my first semester and it was fun. He is a hard grader (at Pace at least, his class is much harder to get an A in than other Pace history courses), and he expects a lot from you, but he is also a funny guy and makes class interactive
Bill is very knowledgable. He is passionate about the history of sports. He provides feedback that is very helpful to you. He is consistent with what style of writing he would like for you to use when addressing articles and lecturers. Somewhat intimidating, but seems to want the best for you. Not easy, but if you do the work you will be fine.
He is a really funny guy who loves history. I wouldnt say the class was hard, as on the day to day it didnt require much work. You could get away with not doing the readings. It was important to participate though. He assigned a lot of papers 5 in total for just his section, but were fairly graded. Hes very interesting and funny.
Such a tough grader, could literally do nothing right. I dont recommend. Was so stress to do well that I did not learn anything.
As a UNV101 professor Bill has been such a gem. He has been more helpful in one semester then my high school advisor had in four years. He did not make us do much outside work other then a weekly email (which he always responded to which was nice) especially compared to other UNV101 classes. Basically just show up and send your emails
Prof Offut (he'll suggest that you call him Bill) is literally the sweetest man ever. He definitely is one of those profs that people who want easy A's will not love, but he cares about what he is teaching. His classes are all about "reacting to the past" which is essentially a live-action role-playing exercise that I didn't realize until later.
Bill is literally one of the best profs you will ever have the opportunity to take. The class was super easy and I can't even put into words how much he cares about his students. Most of my friends hated their UNV101 class but I looked forward to it every week because of Bill
Easily the best professor Pace has ever had. From the very beginning, you can tell how much he cares about his students and what he's teaching. He gives great feedback, and encourages everyone to be themselves and have fun. Super well educated and easy to talk to, not a day went by where he didn't teach me something. Best prof ever!!
Bill teaches his Reacting class unlike any other regular history class. You have to really know the history behind what's going on, and unlike a lot of other history classes where you don't even really need to listen to the lectures if you just read the textbooks, you HAVE TO engage in class. It's a real kick in the butt to get going.
Bill teaches this class primarily like a "college survival guide", and as such, it works very differently. It is clear that he respects students and doesn't just read off a text or go purely from what he remembers his own college experience being like. He was a strong guiding presence, and never felt overbearing.
He's chill but overall Unv101 will be a boring class and just teaches u abt NYC and pace as a whole. People love Bill but for me, he's just boring and kinda cares too much. Although he is the best when it comes to helping with classes and telling what's real about pace. He knows whats wrong with pace and will tell you exactly what teachers to avoid
bill is a great teacher, super knowledgeable, knows how to run an engaging class. workload is fair and he's just a nice guy. see him in the hallways and wave, he knows ur name type of guy. i'm not huge on the whole reenacting the past stuff but it works and ik i learned a good amount.
Bill is a really funny and straight forward guy. I had him for my Reacting to the Past class and just as long as you are able to cosplay as people in the past you will be fine. Be prepared to write two papers based on the role, read, make your speech, and speak on the issues presented. And even if you don't like one game there's other ones you play
Reacting To The Past was the best class I've ever taken! So much fun. You need to actually pay attention and participate, but you're going to want to... the class is so entertaining! Bill and Nancy are so engaged in the class and truly care about everyone having fun. I wish I could take this again. Enjoy!!!!!
