Awesome Professor

He may come off as unprepared but you have to realize what he is doing. Giving speeches is a tough thing to do. By acting silly he puts you at ease because in your mind, you think, Hey, I'm more on the ball than my teacher. I saw the change in my classmates and think he is brilliant. I would take his class again in a second

he's the best teacher I've ever had!! I took this class before on south campus with a different professor and I got an F... I retook it with professor parson and i got and A+. I highly recommend you this professor and even better if u are shy!! great jokes!! I took it on a saturday 8:00 am and i actually enjoyed it! Good luck buddies =D

He is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is totally prepared, very fair, and extremely helpful. He works hard to relax everyone and creat a comfortable environment which is important in a public speaking class. Also, this guy is hilarious. Attendance counts though, so try not to miss. TAKE THIS TEACHER!

Great Professor!! he makes everyone feel comfortable. You do group speeches to know others in the class before you do a speech where you're on your own. Very funny, never boring. I was very nervous in the beginning with my speeches and now I feel like i've improved a lot. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! You won't regret it.

Not a dull moment, really fun and caring teacher. Most important thing is to participate is class discussions, and do your best on your speeches. As long as you try to improve you'll do well.

Professor Parsons is the best teacher I have came across in my 3 years of college. I was dreading a speech class but he makes it soo FUN and FUNNY! does group activities every day--but they are fun and easy. He grades very easy as long as you do your best. This guy is TOP NOTCH! FUNNY FUNNY and EASY passable class. I would take him 100000x over.

Public Speaking can be very intimidating , This teacher help me improve my speech delivery from a 3 to a good 10. Very low use of book,easy A just make sure you take notes .You are going to be looking foward to this class everyday. Very funny individual.

His class is not that bad.Take his class if you are taking 3 or more courses 'cause you won't have to study.Just prapare your speeches the way he wants.Participation and attendance counts in your final grade.Take some notes too.Great personality and will hellp you if you need it, but you won't.

William Paron is an amazing teacher. I can honestly say he is probablly one of the best professors on the campus. As you can see out of the 5 pages of reviews all of them are great with the exception of two. Those two people are obviously idiots. Parson talks about his life but it is done in a funny way that really helps relax you. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

On the first day of class I had to do a presentation, I went up front & froze. I couldn't even speak because of the anxiety. After taking this course with Prof. Parsons I was able to present without any issues!!He is very motivating & a caring professor!!Wish he taugh other classes!!One of the best professors ever!You rock Mr.Parsons!:)

The reason Mr. Parson speaks about the "Ghetto" is because he is trying to inform the class that the "Ghetto" language dialect is not a real form of communication. By speaking in a "Ghetto" dialect you won't land a job whether you have a degree or not. He is a great professor and is by no means Prejudice. Whoever said that is obviously a hood rat.

Professor Parsons is a very smart man. He teaches in a way that makes class fun (not boring. He grades fairly. If you do the work required you will get an A. This is a great class to take in the summer term because there is not a huge work load. He's a good teacher.

Professor Parsons made the class easy and a privledge to attend it was actually entertaining. He had everyone participate together. He even has the knack for being able to make shy students come out their shells and gradually improve with every speech they gave. My advice is if you take speech take his class.

He is a great teacher and he's easy so what he talks about his wife. If your looking for a teacher who doesn't talk down to his student chose him if not then chose another teacher.

The first time I met him in class, I was afraid of him because am always afraid of white teachers. But this professor is a very intelligent, knowledgeable, kind,easy to approach teacher. He is funny and makes his classroom a fun place to learn. I started out a very shy person and end up a very confident person that can speak in front of anybody.

Professor Parsons is kind of sexy i had him for session two which was only six weeks and he was absent two of the weeks. But yea hes sexy, is confident and id hit it :)

I will agree that if your not into jokes then this professor would offend you. I honestly thought this guy was funny. I walked into the class very nervous about public speaking and ended the class with confidence in my ability to speak publicly. You should take Professor Parsons hands down

He is a great teacher. Really nice and understanding. Its either you do the work and get an A, or you dont and you fail. The work isnt hard at all. His jokes make you more comfortable. I loved his class.

He is an AMAZING teacher. I had so many doubts about speech and left with none. His jokes are funny and he made you comfortable, which in a speech class is important. I wish he taught other courses but he doesn't :(. If you get this professor trust me you will not be disappointed! You WILL have fun. Never a dull moment (:.

This professor was absolutely wonderful. He was respectful of everyone in the class and he made a Saturday class fun and entertaining. Not hard to get an A in this class; just do the homework and assignments and participate in class . He rewards hard work and effort with a good grade. I really wished he taught other classes but unfortunately no.

It was an honor and a pleasure to be a student in his class. He made the experience of giving speeches comfortable. His humor is a little off, but it is a communication class after all.

AWESOME teacher. i hated public speaking but have no problem with it after taking this class. he makes you feel comfortable and is extremely funny. didn't mind going to this class at all, even if it was on a saturday. no quizzes or tests, just a final which was beyond easy (20 t/f questions) and a simple assignment once a week. take this class!

I took this class for fall 2012 semester and honestly I loved it. He is an awesome teaches that lets us use more practical skills than just doing book work and going over powerpoints.I highly reccomend him because he made the enviornment of speaking to 30 people at once so much better! Even though it was a Saturday morning class, I never complained

Loved this class.When you have questions he is really willing to work with you he tells you "I am here for you so use me, call me, text me, email me" He really wants you to do the best you can AND he makes it fun.He shares stories with you to get to know you on a more personal level so that you know you can approach him with ease.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Omg... Simply amazing probably one of the best professors at BC. I actually looked forward to his classes. He's very funny and makes you feel at home. Just post your discussions online weekly the discussions are a MUST, do your speeches, and participate and you will get an A. :))P.S. I'm 100% terrified of speeches but I made it! You can do it to!!

His class is really easy. He entertains at times by telling stories and singing to us before we start class, just to motivate us. He is really helpful, easy to comprehend & to get along with. His final exam :O it's the easiest because he tells you what's on it :). And at times if your close with him he'll tease around. Enjoyed his class and aced it

A little of topic at times, seems nice and helpful. I hate speech terrified of public speaking but I look forward to this class. Besides the assignments seem easy and I only see him 7 times since it's a fast track class ???? definitely recommend if you hate public speaking.

This professor is amazing, he was very willing to help and very organize in his assignments. I would not trade his class for no other, he is great. You do need the book for the quizzes and only 3 easy speech, everything else is discussions and one easy paper.

I took the 8-week course. Great professor! The class discussions have to be up to 500 words, but there were only 8 of them. 2 keys to receiving an A: do your discussions and prepare for your speeches! ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY! DO NOT COME IN LATE NOR LEAVE EARLY.

Parsons is good people. Very funny, always looking to keep the class encouraged and involved. Talks to each student individually after every speech. Makes you feel like he has a real interest in your success. Good man.

Professor has almost eradicated the stage fear I had. He taught to use the therapy of saying, "I am getting better at public speaking" five time a day. And that worked! Take him. He is amazing! You will always leave his class with a huge grin on your face. You will learn everyday. I did. He is extremely helpful :)

This man changed my life. I'm planning to major in math and computer science. Needless to say I was dreading this class. He was able to cure my fear of public speaking and tell me how to improve my communication skills. No regrets.

So happy I took this Professor for SPC1024, made it such an easy course considering speaking in front of audience is already nerve recking, he is really fun, has a lot of energy and gives good feedback. Three speeches, one of which is a group speech, informative, and persuasive speech. MUST TAKE!! Awesome speech Professor.

Prof Parsons is nice, relatable, but goes on a tangent easily. Each day miss is MINUS 10 points. Attendance is a MUST (when he does it smh). There are several group activities which is EASILY done. Honestly, show up, participate in class discussion, do your speech (2), and as long as you are animated there is NO REASON to not get a. Beyond easy.

I am a terribly shy person, and when I read Professor Williams reviews I thought that he would be a good teacher. I was right :-) He has amazing lectures, and all the assignments/grades are on D2L. You'll do 4 speeches, and its super easy. I think 100% of the people in my class related to him on a level each and every day. Take him hes great!

The best teacher ever!!! I would take him again for whatever class he has even if i don't need the credit. Thats how good he is. We had 3 to 4 presentations and some some disscussions online (that the only time you'll ever use the book). Thier are no quiz and he usually have you work with groups to work on topics. He is really funny and laid back

He absolutely loves his job. Shows that he cares and wants his students to succeed, or at the very least, TRY. I know how it is to be afraid to take a public speaking, but I don't think there is a better option than Professor Parsons. You'll have around 3-4 speeches, and not too long either, 5 minutes at most. He'll work with you, take him!

There is a total of 4 speeches which are extremely easy. Professor P genuinely cares for his students and wants us to be successful, so my advice would be to show up and do your speeches with confidence as well as the 15 discussion and you will get an A!

Prof. Parsons is very passionate about what he does and he truly wanted us to be successful. He gave us the confidence that we were great public speakers which motivated us to do our best. I feared public speaking but I must say after this class, I feel more comfortable. I still do not love it but if I have to in the future, I am ready. Great Prof!

Super funny which helps the class get comfortable with each other which makes the speeches easier to deliver. The blended class is easy but you do have to be ready to do discussions and online quizzes but you have unlimited chances on the quizzes and they're straight from the book. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Took this course in an 8 week session, piece of cake! 10 quizzes that you need the textbook for, 10 discussions, 3 presentations in class. Midterm/final done in groups. Not your average professor! Unique teaching methods, gives great feedback after speeches, makes public speaking fun! Also drops life gems along the course. Very wise. EASY A!

Took this in an 8 week session. Great professor that gets you out of your comfort zone, helps you become a better public communicator, very laid back on grading assignments and speeches, helps outside of class, 10 discussions, quizzes , some individual speeches (you choose what to talk about) and a fun group speech. I highly recommend taking him!

Best teacher on the planet ! You must show up to class & participate in everything. Very easy work and youll learn valuable things. He also likes to talk ALOT so keep that in mind.
