William was a pleasure to have in class. He was always cheerful and passionate about the subject. I loved every minute!

William is the coolest teacher ever.... what teacher would ever allow himself to be the fashion faux pas of the week!!!! You rock Mr. Perrine!!!

He was a great teacher

We hardly did anything in this class... we had a few projects which were not hard! The worksheets we did were a joke! Either they were extremely easy or they were so hard and confusing that we didn't know what to do.... it's not Perrine's fault! He did not make the worksheets! Don't take the class with Stanforth!

Perrine is good people. Clearly shows a passion for teaching...even though stories get old fast, they're usually a nice break from whatever you're supposed to be learning....I'd take him again.

This class was easy and fun at the same time. Perrine is funny and even tried to make us laugh at 9:15 in the morning, sometimes it worked. :) This stories from the industry were interesting and informative. He knows what he is talking about. I hope to have him again. Show up to class, do the worksheets, & you will be fine!DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!

William is a wonderful guy and he just wants to get the class interested in what he is teaching about, and not just to know it all by heart for tests and whatnot.

This class was very cool. He encouraged us to use what he taught us in class, and apply it to our everyday lifestyle. He also gave us the tools and information to help Fair Trade move in the right direction! Lets do the right thing! Rock on!

Has some interesting stories! Uses knowledge of the field to help teach. (For example: showed us planograms for Sears' stores for us to see how many different things are considered when laying out a store.) Puts notes on power points so you really don't need a book. Goes over worksheets in class to make sure everybody understands-Excellent teacher!

He teaches Buying and planning for juniors and he is an amazing teacher. He has so much experience in retailing that he is able to share his experienes with you in class. He is by far the best teacher I have had while at the fashion school. I would defently recommend having him as a teacher sometime in your life.

Mr. Perrine is a good teacher. We dont do too much, but the class is a must take for any fashion major. Good expereinces with giving presentations. All around good classs and rockin profff.

I enjoy analyzing different case studies rather than reading right from the text. It is easier to understand the topics and it is something to relate to. It also stimulates your brain.

I loved William as a teacher for Presentations. He listened to his students and never wanted to stress anyone out! He is easy to talk to and is even funny at times.

I really like this class, not only was it fairly easy but William is a nice easy going guy who hardly gave us work but still made the class interesting. Plus, the presentations weren't hard at all once you figured out what topic you wanted to do and researched a bit. Do Take This Class! you wont regret it :)

Planning and Buying is the second class I've had William for and he one of the best professors that I've ever had. He doesn't make things harder than they need to be and he keeps class really interesting with his cheesy jokes. =)

He is a fun teacher and very easy to talk to if you have questions. Very willing to help you out with anything. He however does always seem to let class out early sometimes 30 to 45 mins early which makes it a waste of time sometimes to go to class. But overall it was a good teacher.

Very easy class, but i'm disappointed I didn't really learn as much as i should have, considering the importance of this topic in fashion merchandising careers. Not really even worth my time.

Best Teacher in the fashion department! Very easy to talk to, always willing to help out with problems, very nice. Every day he walks in to class and says "wazz-up?" Has good taste in music and will probably talk about it.

I've had him for planning and buying and presentations as well and he's really laid back, helps whenever you need it, all around nice prof :)

Computer Apps. in Retailing: The class is rather easy. It is important to go to class so understand everything that we learn but out of every fashion class I've taken thus far this one seems to be the most useful. And of course Mr. Perrine is great, doesn't grade harshly and is really helpful.

He's a great teacher and a great guy. He's not a teacher that's out to get you with tests and assignments. Instead he's a teacher that wants to help you. He definitely has the students best interest in mind.

Mr. Perrine always provides a relaxed atmosphere, and is very approachable and willing to help his students. He encourages us to think and apply concepts practically to the business side of fashion.

Mr. Perrine is by far the best teacher/influential person ive had in my 4 years of college. Ive taking 3 classes of his so far and plan on taking at least one more. He is very passionate about fashion and that shows in the class he created Fair Trade. That class changed my life and have considered taking new routes in my life after I graduate.

William is a great professor and shows great knowledge for the subject material. Apparel in the Global Economy was my 4th class I have taken with him throughout my college career. He keeps things interesting and really cares about his students.

As usual, Mr. Perrine is the best! He never makes the topic dull, finds ways to engage his students. He is helpful and available, responsive to emails/calls. By far my FAVORITE teacher at Kent State in my four years!

I have had Perrine for a class all four years I have been in college and I can honestly say that he is the BEST professor I have ever had. His top priority is that his students do well and succeed and he is always ready to help out. I highly, highly recommend him.

I had Perrine for two classes. Global and and Fashion Merchandising seminar. His class has a really laid back style but he takes seminar very serious and allows no slacking. He expects you to know the material and offers a lot of ways of learning. I really enjoyed his teaching style and wish I would have taken more of his classes.

Perrine is awesome, do not slack off in Seminar-there is a lot of work in this class. If you ever need help, he is there for you! :-)

Not just a teacher, but an educator. He is very passionate about global economy. He educates and moves the class to become as passionate as he is. Regardless of his class he's a great person and the last lecture of the year is awesome! He truly cares about the future of his students.

Professor Perrine is a great professor. He cares about his students' success and puts in way more effort than the average professor. He doesn't teach "blow off" classes, but if you pay attention, you'll do fine.

William is more than a professor, he is an educator and truly cares about each and every student. There aren't many professors out there that I can say went the extra mile for their students, but he does. Class isn't easy by any means, but it's not impossible. His hilarious anecdotes - along with fascinating course material and excellent films - make class memorable and worth going to. This alone makes him unique amongst KSU profs. Take his class - you'll actually learn something for once!

Professor Perrine is an amazing teacher. You can tell he truly cares about his students. Does teach from the book which is helpful and prints out PowerPoint notes for class. Attendance is not required but I would highly recommend going bc he sometimes has pop quizzes or random assignments. If you do not understand something ask! Very helpful!!

Professor Perrine was wonderful! He was very helpful and cared about us. I loved his stories about being a cop before and literally being the fashion police. It's really nice being able to relate to your professor as a person and not just as the person teaching you. If you can take a class with him, do it!!

I was already familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator but I learned even more in his class. He explains everything so thoroughly and doesn't go too fast or too slow. I love how he was professional yet had a laid back demeanor. I loved his random stories he would tell us. It made him so relatable. Mr. Perrine is an amazing teacher.

Great class! Connects the fashion world to the world of global trade and the world economy. Professor truly cares about his class and helps keep everything super interesting and concise, class never lasts the whole hour and 15 minutes.

Global was a great class with professor Perrine! He is an excellent professor and makes the class enjoyable. Attendance is not mandatory , but if you don't go to class you risk missing random in class assignments and extra credit attendance opportunities! You need the book for the vocab assignments too!

Mr. William's class was awesome! Definitely pick him over any other lab instructor- he's committed, engaged and so easy going! You HAVE to show up to class, but it's worth it. I only wish he'd teach Fash Tech Apps as well. Oh and he has the funniest stories to tell from everything he's done (WHICH IS A LOT!)

He's extremely nice, he makes a bunch of corny jokes, but I find him hilarious! He's a hip teacher. His lectures are super easy to follow, not boring at all! He's also an easy grader which helps because my fashion tech drawings aren't the best. You do need to go to his labs but they aren't hard! I would take him over any professor!

He is an easy professor. As long as you show up to class and show him you are working hard you will do great! He made me look forward to coming to a 3 hour night lab instead of dreading it. He makes a bunch of small talk and jokes during class to lighten the mood too. Just make sure you pay attention while he is doing demos

Kept the class interesting, easy going, yet challenging. Even though class was kind of early he was always on time, well prepared, and willing to help when needed. Also very funny! One of the only classes I haven't fallen asleep in this semester and I also learned a ton!

William is an excellent teacher. I've been waiting to have a class taught by him since freshman year and he didn't disappoint. The material itself would be boring taught by anyone but he tries to make it an interesting as possible. Unlike other classes information wasn't repeated. Assignments every week but easy points.

He's the nicest teacher most caring teacher. The lectures are a bit dry sometimes but he means so well!

I loved this class although the Saipan dvd made me cry! (luckily the lights were off) When thinking about returning to school I almost decided to go back for a degree in social work but this class helped me to learn that I can use my love of fashion and retail to help others! Thanks William!

Fun Projects!

A wonderful and incredibly experienced teacher. He made the class so fun! I highly recommend to take whatever class he teaches, you won't regret it.

Show up and do the work in class and you'll never have homework. I had a grad student originally and William got switched in - thank god! Really cares about student success and is very willing to help both inside and outside of class.

Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. I had him for my Fashion Technology Lab and I absolutely loved it! As long as you do the required work, you will get all the points. He is very open to your ideas and interpretations of the projects.

He's very friendly and encourages you to get to know him outside of class. Super fun lectures! He grades really fairly, only on blatant mistakes, and isn't all about perfection on projects.

Favorite professor!

One of my top classes and professors of all time. Wish I could take the class again! Show up and he will give extra credit on days when theres a ton of absences. Read the chapters and do all the homework ahead of time. Such an inspirational class! I will never forget it!

"Who's looking out for ya" He is the best professor at the fashion building. Ive already had him for three of my classes and its sad that this is my last year and i have to say goodbye! Take him! He is so nice and so sweet!!!

I loved having him as my tech professor would gladly take the class again with him. iIlearned a lot and ended with a 100% in the class. He is very understanding, kind and encouraging and a light grader. The only con is he doesn't critique much so you wouldn't know what needs improving for future reference but take him if you want an A in tech!

I would take any class he teaches in a heartbeat. He is always looking out for you and just really supportive. I would highly recommend going to his last lecture of this course as it's really informative.

So far William is my favorite professor at Kent. He is someone you want to take if its your first time taking Photoshop and Illustrator. He really respects his students as long as you respect him and appreciates honesty. I would love to have him as a teacher again!

William is one of the best professors I've had at Kent State. I loved the topic of the course and his teaching made me realize that I want to go into sourcing after graduation.

William is an AMAZING professor! I had him for Fashion Tech and would take him again in a heartbeat. The class could be interesting at times, but me personally tech wasn't really my strong point. But William is an easy grader, and really just likes to see that his students put their best effort forth and complete assignments. He's the best!

Apparel in the Global Economy has three weekly assignments which aren't that difficult but the exams are tricky. I've had him for other classes and this one has much harder exams. He really cares about student success though - if you have interviews or other opportunities he is very accommodating.

I've had William twice during my time at Kent-once during my first year and once during my last year for Fashion Tech and Apparel in the Global Economy. He's easy to talk to, funny and a great teacher who really enjoys and knows what he's talking about! I definitely recommend him as a professor!

William is AMAZING! Seriously so fun and made my really think about the Fashion industry in a new light. He gives so many resources and facts about the industry that can be used outside of the classroom. His homework is not hard but helps you learn! 10/10 RECOMMEND!

I had William for Fashion Tech lab and this was by far my favorite class this semester. This class made me realize this is why I want to be here and why I love fashion design. This class is not an easy class though you have projects and homework a lot but as long as you keep up with it your grade will be fine. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Perrine is incredible! One of the best professors at the Fashion School. He gives you so much insight into the fashion industry, and just life in general. He is very relatable and loves helping out students who are truly interested in the industry. A great connection to have post-graduation too!

The class was tough but William was a terrific teacher. 10/10 recommend for Fashion Tech he really knows what he is talking about.

He was the best teacher I've had my entire college career. Really funny, and engaged with his students to make them love the subject. I left Computer Apps feeling very confident in Excel.

William is absolutely lovely. Will make you laugh and will genuinely help. He is not always clear about assignments or respectful of your time, but he is understanding and will ultimately grade fairly.

Considering taking Prof Perrine for tech? DO IT. I am the least technologically advanced student and I got an A+. Super laid back grader, friendly and funny. Only heads up is he will reply to emails late and submit assignments late so may cause some frustration.

Professor Perrine has been one of the most enjoyable professors I have had at Kent State so far! He is extremely personable and friendly, and was always willing to help out other students. The course load was a little heavy, but not difficult. He's made my first semester of college stress free and I hope I have him as a teacher again!

I've taken classes with William before, but wanted to review him during the pandemic. He was my most kind professor by far. Aware of our stress, understanding that our performance levels were going to be down, and empathetic that our school lives had gotten way more complicated. Educational, not stressful. His class was a safe place this semester.

William is just the kind of professor everyone wants to have at least once. The class I took (fashion tech) was a relatively hard class when it comes to the work load, but still somewhat fun and interesting no matter what professor you have. If you have William as your professor, consider yourself lucky. He is especially lenient during covid.

Such a great and caring professor! The class includes lots of work and is very time consuming, but William makes it fun. Always very descriptive and clear with instructions on class work and projects.

Professor Perrine makes the material engaging. His lectures feel like conversations, though he can overshare at times. The work is enjoyable, and unstuckstudy ai was a great study aid alongside the textbook.

William was an extremely kind professor always going out of his way to ensure students felt comfortable and supported. He is very understanding and helpful. Overall he is a great lab teacher, I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.

He creates a trusting and supportive relationship with his students and will answer your questions clearly. I've seen my peers improve their skills and knowledge overtime under his guidance. He likes dark chocolate and Asian food :D
