I loved Dr. Pithers because he it an awesome guy-althought his lectures are a little boring, hes fun and extremely nice. He lets you make up tests up to a week after they are given. If you e-mail him, he always responds and is willing to help.

A cool guy, but sometimes goes a little fast in his lectures. He is very helpful having study groups before each exam. Overall a good class.

A good guy, really smart! someone you can learn a lot from but his tests are****! I don't understand how someone who seems so prepared in the classroom screws up a test so bad, maybe he uses crack while making up a test.

He was so interesting. He knows a lot about his field, and he is more than willing to share it. Will help you if you ask for it. Tests are easy as long as you read the chapters.

His class is not hard with a little effort, you take alot of notes and look at alot of slides. He's very nice and understanding.

He is a really nice guy. He adds a little spice to his lectures. You will probably need your own printer because you have to print out the notes. Once you get past the first test its easy. His pop quizes are easy too he practically gives the answers to you. you get krispie kremes is you get a 100

He's a funny guy and makes Psych humorous. Though he does make dry lectures that can make people fall asleep, he does snap out of it and pulls a funny here and there. His tests are easy once you know his testing standard.

Rarely takes attendence, gives away answers on quizzes, puts all the powerpoint slides online, and posts test scores online the same day they're taken. Very helpful. Funny. You will learn a lot and like it.

He is kind of boring at times but is really helpful when you need something clarified and can make you laugh sometimes.

Prof. Pithers is an awesome prof to get for Psych. He keeps you interested in the course, and gets you through the slower areas of psych.

Most people think his class is very hard. I think its average, but then I dont mind to take the extra time and study so that I do well. If I had to take another class of his, I think I'd do ok.

Really nice guy, but very boring teaching style. Everything is taught on power point. Gives you a big break on quizes and final. Talks about sex... alot...

I liked this class. If you go to class and review notes you will do great. All of the notes are online.

He never takes attendence, very helpful and nice to talk to. He's got to be the most understanding professor! He would get pretty animated in my class. Told a lot of jokes, yell to make a point. I'd take him again.

Very very very dry, hard to stay awake. The only thing he talks about it sex. The tests are hard, even when you study. Nice guy but deathly boring.

Lots of pop quizzes and the tests are difficult, but other than that he makes the class interesting and fun. The only thing is that he gets really excited when talking about sexuality when dealing with psychology. =)

He is very knowlegdeable, and gives many examples to help you understand. I did not find him or the class boring. his tests can be hard so prepare and you'll be fine. print the online notes before class.

If you enjoy the slide shows...great! more power to you to help you take notes...he uses alot of examples on his tests from the lectures...study those and i think you'll have a good chance. Read also. Hes a good guy, humorous even, but it was hard to keep myself awake and undestracted in his class....

Funny, interesting, no attendance policy!, took 3 classes with him, Aced them all, reasonable man

He's alright. All of the notes are on blackboard, but you have to go to every class in order to get a good grade-you never know when he'll give a quiz-you can't ever make those up if you miss one. Had class once a week and it was too much to cram 21/2 hours of psych!Talks about SEX a lot;have to study forever to pass the test.

Easy to get along with

He is one of my favorite professor I might minor in psychology because of him. His test are fairly hard. Attendance isnt mandatory but you should go he covers all material that will be on the test. He sometimes gives you a study guide there are 5 papers you must do but they are very easy and only 2pages each.

He has a great personality & keeps the class fun. Just try to ignore his sweat marks.. it may seem easy but at first that's all you see lol.. anyways.. attendence isn't mandatory but it's not a hard class to stay awake in so you might as well go. All notes are on powerpoints & printable on blackboard. quizzes & test are fairly easy if you study!

Nice, funny guy. Notes on BB, but in order to do well you must attend class because the tests will have a lot of things on them that he lectured on. I got an A. Bring a sweater because he keeps the A/C CRANKED.

Very good professor.Very animated and lively, but i still fall asleep during class. But that's probably because of the dark room. Does anyone else notice the stuttering, i think it might be a nervous habit. Just make sure you study and you'll be fine.

I had Professor Pithers for Abnormal Psych during summer 3 session and his was just a fabulous teacher. His class was information intense but I learned alot and not just to cram test but the info has stayed with me (more or less) over the last 4 years. I definitely recommend taking him as professor he's interesting, helpful, understanding andfunny.

I love Professor Pithers class. The lights are low and his voice is soothing so the biggest challenge is staying awake. Other than that if you pay attention to his examples and review your slides before the tests you will do fine. I would totally recommend him for Psych 101.

Real nice guy, he really wants you to pass his class. He is always animated during class and teaches using examples from his life. I wouldn't buy the book since I bought it and haven't even opened the book. He goes off powerpoints and the tests are pretty difficult if you don't pay attention or take notes. Overall a good teacher though.

Very nice professor! He made the info. interesting. I wouldn't recommend getting the book tho. I only studied my notes and received an A. You have to study tho., his tests require application of the material.

He knows his stuff. Very intelligent, and adds humor and draws from his vast experience within the field. As prior comments stated, he does talk about sex/make jokes a bit, but that's his focus area, and challenges students to break from the comfort zone for the sake of progress. Absolutely will take him as much as possible!

You can tell when he lectures that he has decades of experience with what he's teaching, yet makes it accessible and easy to understand, while throwing in a little humor when he can. Attendance not mandatory, but will miss a lot if not there for the lecture. Textbook is 100% unneeded, it's all Powerpoint and note taking.

I took both 388 and 227 with him. He's a great, smart, and easy professor. He's fun and down to earth. Lots of experience and knowledge in his field - definitely worth taking.

Dear Buster rocked the house at Griffith University. Best professor I ever had, although his exams were near death experiences. If you want to learn, take Buster's class.

Meh, this guy is just alright. Not hard, not easy. Do what is expected and put some effort and you'll get at least come out with a low C. Lectures are easy to understand but tests can be tricky.

By far my favorite proffessor. I liked his class so much I almost switched majors to psych, but I'm not that kind of person. His class was very interested (minus the stimulus section) and I feel as if I learned alot. Seeing as I took Gen. Psych I officially know everything about everyone...... all joking aside though he's awesome. DEFINATLY GOOD

Bill is a great guy! hes funny and keeps his lectures interesting with jokes and steeler's references. his tests arent that bad long as you pay ateention in the lectures youll do fine. he also gives alot of extra credit opportunities. NEW FAVORITE PROF!

His class is good but you really have to pay attention 2 his lecture and the power point. His test are really tricky & hard but don't be afraid,of D class,with heard work and taking all the opportunity that he affords you can get at lest a C on psyc 101,I have to take psyc 365 with him this semester but if I had another choice I wouldn't take him

LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM! He is by far my favorite professor at Edinboro. He goes above and beyond for his students. I wish all professors at Edinboro could be more like him. A girl can dream right? He is the best I promise!

"Mybadism". Hilarious in his own right. Tests can be brutal, but study and you'll be ok. Although attendance isn't mandatory, go, it could save you on tests! Helped with grades at the end and is a sweet person that cares! :)

Pithers is the best professor I have taken at Edinboro. He is very passionate about what he teaches and is very helpful. Tests are a lot of application and tricky, but study and you'll be fine! He has the best stories that will keep you interested

Dr. Pithers is my favorite psych professor so far at Edinboro. He knows his stuff. You can ask him any question and he'll know the answer. His lectures seem pretty long most times because all we do is copy notes. And his tests are application based- so make sure you know what you're doing too. Overall, he is a great professor there for his students

This man can captivate you while teaching. At first he seemed to be the most boring individual I had ever seen. I wanted to switch to a different course, but I lacked options. His calm deep voice has a lot to say. The way he presents material on group therapy is amazing. He just needs to be given the change to be heard.

Dr. Pithers is a soft, big hearted and well spoken man, he uses a lot of application in his lectures and tests, so the material involves much more than memorization. If you want to learn, take Pithers. But you will have to be a student. Which means studying, and putting forth effort to feed your curiousity about psychology. Offers an extra credit paper.

His class was relatively easy if you take care to study the day or two before. He gives you a list of concepts that's on the test which is useful for studying. The tests are on the easier side of fair. Assigns homework occasionally but it rarely takes more than 15 minutes. Very personable professor who cares about his students. Lectures are good.

Some of the stories he tells about group psychotherapy are unforgettable. He is very willing to help but you have to be willing to work. Preparing a group therapy manual is probably the most work I've done on any assignment, and it also is the best learning experience I've had.

he's very nice and energetic. He is always willing to help and I enjoy how he acts things out for the class. He is easy to understand and is a fun professor. I have taken Group Psychotherapy, Abnormal Psych and Developmental psychopathology and I loved all of them!

He is such a knowledgeable guy! I would most definitely take him again! I learned so much in that class! He really sparked a love of psychology in me! He has so many personal stories to relate lectures to. Really pay attention to lectures and study over your notes. You don't need to textbook. Don't buy it.

He is very knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches and he has many personal stories to share to help students understand what he is talking about. If you do the list of good concepts he gives for exams and pay attention in lectures you will pass the class just fine.

Amazing class! Would definitely take him again. He has only exams but extra credit to bump you up. I dint do them (to busy) or I would have gotten an A easily. He grabs your attention.

One of the best lecturing professors I've ever had. Made the almost three hour classes feel like 30 minutes. Never needed the book, his lectures covered everything on the tests. Gotta study what he gives gives you, though; the tests weren't hard if you went over the plethora of notes you'll take. Tells interesting stories that'll help you remember

Dr. Pithers is a great professor. He is a very smart man who knows his information. You definitely have to work in his class but he uses personal stories from his past experiences, which makes the class interesting and understandable. He is always willing to help when necessary. I have taken him every chance I could.

I absolutely loved this class! Dr. Pithers is a wonderful professor and I would most definitely recommend him. The class is very lecture heavy and if you are an OSD student, I would find yourself a notetaker. Notes are taken best when you print the slideshow before class and add side notes here and there.

Awesome professor! Many people drop right way because his voice is so soothing it puts them to sleep. If you can get past the first day, he will shock you with his stories & experiences. Many questions on his exams are based on his personal lecture so show up & take notes on what he says not what is on the board. Gives extra credit opportunities!

Pithers is an exceptional professor. Some of his stories are unforgettable. You need to attend lectures and take good notes. You need to prepare for exams. If you do, you'll do well. He really cares and wants you to do well, but you need to do your part!

Took his Abnormal course online. His lectures are amazing. He teaches a lot from his actual experience as a psychologist and he has had some pretty interesting experiences! He's also got a good sense of subtle humor. He's the favorite professor I've had in three years at Edinboro. Would take him again in a second.

Most of the class doesn't involved a lot of work. The exception is the group therapy manual I hated the idea of doing the manual, especially when it is a major part of the grade and comes late in the semester. However, it was the best learning experience I've had at Edinboro. I worked on sections as Pithers covered them in class which helped a lot.

One of the Best! I think he may have been around when psychology was born. If theres something to know about psychology, he knows it. Tells great stories about his experiences and the people he knows. Take him if you can!

Loved taking Pithers for group! Was very nervous about the therapy manual, but if you ask for help he will give it to you. Has a lot of great examples during lectures, however I recommend that you print out the notes because he does go fast! He really cares about students and asks us for feedback on assignments and exercises. Highly recommend him!

I'm actually using the things I learned in Pithers' Adjustment class. Took the course online. The lectures were fun, but you need to take notes and study to do well. I'd liked the course and would take him again.

Dr. Pithers has amazing lectures, but since he is so quiet, I recommend sitting closer to the front of the room. His exams can be challenging, but if you study you can get at least a B in the class. I recommend any of his classes even if his classes aren't your focus in the feild. He is willing to help all of his students no matter the time of day.

Difficult course, but he is an amazing lecturer! Even online, he was able to maintain my attention. He does voice-over powerpoints which are very easy to understand. If you need to take a psych class, I highly recommend taking a pithers course! Best online class I've taken! He communicates frequently and you know exactly what's expected of you!

Dr Pithers is one of my favorite professors for psychology. He is so knowledgeable and seems to truly care for his students. I Love when he gives examples based from his own experiences. His classes are challenging, but they are worth the effort. Hes a very fair and understanding guy.

Professor Pithers is the best lecturer I've had at Edinboro. His course was online but the lectures held my attention as much as any course I've taken. He offers "good concepts" for each exam. As he suggested, I printed his PowerPoint shows and used those for taking notes. This made note-taking easier as he talks quickly. I will def take him again.

I was initially scared about taking Group Psychotherapy. The assignments took a lot of work, but I learned a lot about how to be a good therapist. His stories were amazing--some very difficult to hear because they involved personal trauma of people in his groups. Others were inspirational about the changes therapy can make in someone's life.
