Smart, Smart man. He's better than any anti- depressants. A walking, talking abnormal psych library who's not easy, but very fair. I would recomend to take him.

tests are long and hard. When you see how he grades them, your pain eases somewhat. I took him for abnormal psych 1 and 2 and on both occassions he knew all the material back and forth straight from his head. No textbook, so you save a few $$

This man made me want to pursue my goals in psychology. He actually cares about his students & does not believe in failing them. His tests are really hard, but he will rarely give you a bad grade. His notes are neverending, but he gives the most important info on them. He likes it as people help him

A buttload of work, but that is all the class is based upon. No final, no midterm, just take home projects. Unfortunately I do not get a chance to hear the professor teach for himself in this class, but he is quite a fantastic professor. TAKE HIM!

Humor, warmth, vocal cords-he's got them. Teaches a great class where he projects himself but notes will always flood. Doesn't like emails, his multiple guess will often trick the unwary, clarity in novel terms sometimes lacking, but nonetheless, a very good professor. Take him.

Very nice guy. Canceled class a lot, but said we are only responsible for what comes out of his mouth, so you'll do fine if you take good notes. If you're not a psych major, though, make friends with one. there's no book, so you might have no reference to fall back on.

I LOVE this man! The only thing is that he gives crazy notes so I suggest that you go every time. The tests are directly from the nots. He's super helpful and caring. Pay attention, bring a notebook& a good pen and you'll be fine plus you will actually learn. TAKE HIM !

I took abnormal I and intro to counseling with him. He's extremely knowledgeable and generally a really nice and realisitic man. Attendance is NOT mandatory to pass, if u have every handout and all the notes and you will be fine, 2-3 tests per class, multiple choice tests can be tricky watch out!

I took his class over the summer and now I'm in psy 110 with him. He is a really great professor I would recommend him to anyone. He knows all the stuff really well. Had to read 3 books for psy 241 and fill out packets based on it, and psy 110 just has lots of notes. Get the notes right and you'll do well!

He speaks extremely slow because he expects you to copy down word for word for what he says. Although some find this tedious, it is way better then buying the 300$ textbook that we dont use. As long as you bring your laptop, you will be BEYOND ok. trust me, take this professor.

You take A LOT of notes in his class. He talks slow enough that you can keep up but I recommend that you use a laptop in this class! He's really nice and gives you every opportunity to do well.

Excellent Professor. Great sense of humor. He gives tons of notes but it isn't hard to keep up. No textbook is required. Attendance isn't taken but because he covers alot of information in one class you will feel somewhat behind. He grades pretty easy but that doesn't mean its an easy A so still study! An interesting class makes it work the effort.

Such a nice man. Reminds me of a grandpa teaching a class and telling stories along the way. Totally clear, all notes, no use of textbook. Tells you what it on the exams. They can be worded somewhat difficultly but he's very helpful

Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's necessary to get a good grade in the class. You have to take A BUNCH of notes in class. There was only one time I dozed off. This class was interesting and fun. His stories connect with the topic and gives you a better understanding of what he's teaching. Don't need the textbook, so don't waste your $.

Quinny is absolutely amazing! I had his 4 hour lecture and thought I would hate it but he made it so bearable. His tests are definitely challenging but he is a super fair grader.

He is a must take professor at Pace. There are two exams - midterm (100 multiple choice questions) and final (in class but not that difficult. He is very fair and as long as you participate you will be rewarded. He wants everyone to do well and is a nice guy. Midterm is difficult so do not wait for last minute to take it. But def take his classes

Quinlan is fantastic. He makes long lectures go by very fast with the passion he has for the subject and the fun stories and activities he includes. Usually lets class out early, so don't fret about the four hour class time. Great professor. Tests are VERY difficult, so take notes and study, but he curves extremely generously. He is definitely one of the friendliest professors at Pace, and wants nothing more than for you to get an A and understand the material. His lectures are packed with info and he teaches using a lot of different materials, movies, stories, etc. He bumped my grade up from a B to an A at the end of the semester just because I talked to him.

I love Quinlan! He's so awesome and fun and his stories really help you understand what he is teaching! He is very funny and he gives out a lot of extra credit points on tests if you speak up in class. You are rewarded for being a well rounded student in his class. Talk to him about sports, he'll love you.

This man is the love of my life. Awesome professor. His stories and his jokes make the class what it is. His lectures are pretty lengthy, however, so show up every week. Tests aren't too hard, they're you're typical psychology tests. Cherish any class you have with him, not all psych professors are this good.

Prof. Quinlan is the sweetest professor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about his students. On the first day of class he said do the assignments well and get an A, just ok get an A-, and don't do them B+. He doesn't care if you show up or not, just that you're doing ok as a person. The assignments are rather tedious, but the films are great.

Lectures are lengthy and he gives out many many long packets but he explains everything you need to know for tests in his lectures. He also gives examples with personal stories, there are lots of them. He is caring and doesn't really care if you show up, but will pull you aside to ask if everything is okay.

Professor Quinlan is so sweet. He lectures almost every class, but he's understanding of students' needs and isn't a stickler for attendance. There is one take-home test, a written final, and an extra credit assignment. He prints out his conglomeration of a textbook for you and is very knowledgable about! Professor Quinlan is incredible. You can tell he really cares about how his students are going and he does his best to help you succeed. I had my first class with him during the semester that we first got a stay at home order for Covid and he made the transition to online so easy for us. I'm in his class again now.

I took this class Tuesday evenings for 4 hours, which I would not recommend, however this class wasn't bad for a 4 hr lecture. The professor makes it interesting and truly cares about his students. It's heavy on notes and the tests are fairly difficult, however, if you have good notes and show up, you'll do fine :)

Best professor ever. If you have the option to take psychology in cinema do it! His lectures are amazing and very easy to follow as he emphasizes things that are important and provides valuable information. The other half of the class is watching a movie. It may run a few minutes over sometimes but its worth it.

Lectures were 4 hours at night and he always let us out before the time was marked. Great professor everything he says in lecture is on the test.

There is not a lot of work he just expects you to try your best. ps: (someone in the reviews said he does not like people with personality disorders, this is a complete lie.
