I never had him,but from what I heard, he's worth taking

He doesn't give "easy A's", but he is one of the most interesting profs I've ever had. Worth taking, however some tricky q's on tests

he is not an easy grader, but i found his class to be great, he makes you work, but at lest you don't fall asleep in his class as you do in may of the other ones. and he is funny :)

I had him 8 years ago and still remember him ... excellent professor and a cool individual.

he doesn't give a lot of h.w, if you do the assignments you can get a good grade. the only fault is that he is not very helpful.

Reading these responses, I'm in shock. I loved Reeves, felt as though I earned a pretty easy "A" and we got along great. Yeah, he's no nonsense, but if you listen to directions and do the assignments you'll do well.

Arogant with a sense of humor that comes off as mean spirited at first. Once you get past that, he's pretty good. Reasonable homework and tests. Just be polite and on time. You might even have fun.

He is fairly easy. You need to come on time, no lateness. Or else you will get his sarcastic quip. He is very cynical and can be sort of mean sounding, yet he makes sure you know a lot about english grammar, punctuation and clarity.

he first comes off as a mean man but after you get used to him you will love him because he is a logical human being and he knows what he is talking about. GREAT PROFESSOR!!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about, I just had this guy and the class was boring. u have read Shakespeare. u have to give response to books everyday that you have to buy like every week. you watch the most boring black and white movies. no midterm,9 page report,final on every question asked

He seems like a mean teacher but when u get to know him he is the best!Hes funny and tells you exactly what he wants.Irecommend him if you want an easy grade and if you dont want too much work.Take care not to do run on sentences cuz he hates that and it lowers ur grade.Besides that hes mad cool!!!!

He is the best teacher in the world. he comes off as really mean at first but gosh what a nice guy. His laugh makes you wanna laugh. He knows what hes talking about and is a good teacher. I would recommend him to anyone. Reeves got me to like reading again. :-) (not too much work either)

this guy is the man all you have to do is pay attention and your set the paper he gives is simple just do it early i would recommend him to anybody for core 6

he is very sarcastic but it is a really cool class and you do learn something the final is open notes and on a college level that is really easy

Just show up and listen to him, half the class we watched movies. 3pager, 9pager & the final. Hamlet, Blake and some short stories. He is the best English prof. I ever had. TAKE HIM!

Great professor. Look scary but actually very cool. Just read the short books and you will do fine.

Such a cool guy...gotta love his sarcasm. He has a movie for every story that exists. Just show up and you'll get the answers to all his papers/tests handed to you. Awesome guy.

if you have to take english 1 b/c you kept putting it off, take it with reeves! He made the class painless. He's a really nice guy and very honest. He'll tell you very honestly what you need to work on, or if your work sucks or not. do not be late though, he'll tell you very sternly in front of everyone how much he hates that.

Reeves is one the greatest prof. in B.C. Not only is he an easy going individual but he cares a great deal about his students. He is funny, kind, and an overall cool dude. I highly recommend him. He is one of the prof. I will miss a great deal when I graduate. Once again, TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

I wish I could take him for all of my classes. He is the best, very caring and nurturing. His work is easy. I still remember what he taught me fall of 05. If he was tough I don't think he would have gotten through to me.I received so much support from him I recommened him to everyone. He is a teacher you will remember for a long time.

TAKE HIM FOR ANY ENG. CLASS! he is so so easy. nice sense of humor too! he cares about writing style and he'll make sure you are ready to pass the exit exam. just go to class and do the JHS remedial english exercises and you'll get an A. you will NOT regret taking him, i promise. i wish he taught eng.2!!!!

EXTREMELY easy professor. There is some work involved but the man gives you the answers to the final before the test and then leaves the room during. In my opinion, its pretty impossible to do badly in this class. He also has an interesting sense of humor =)

OK... If you look at his web page, he is standing there with an eye patch and a cigar! How great is that? This is a true college professor, he's smart, a little sarcastic and knowlegable in his field. This is not the type of teacher who is going to breast-feed you little sh&!ts coming right from high-school. Professors like Reeves are not intereste

I really thought that I was going to be the only college student that didn't get one of those really amazing professors. You know the kind of professor that makes you appreciate school and learning. Then I took Prof. Reeves class. He is the best, take any of his classes you will love him or your money back.

amazing teacher. i really enjoyed the class as long as you do the work you'll get an a. he corrects the essays and lets you re-do them so anyone can get an a. attendence doesnt affect your grade but there are always easy class assignments and they add up to an essay grade in the end of the term which can easily be an easy a. definitely take him.

very easy professor. very nice and a fair grader. gives two short papers and a group presentation and a final. very easy assignments. easy grader and fun. its a class to enjoy.

Easy I never did a stitch if work wrote 5 simple essays in 4 months and got an A class lasts for a whole 15 minutes he is awesome

Unless you are borderline retarded, there is no excuse for not getting at least a B in this class. For the English 1 class, Prof Reeves will have you write 5 siimple essays, that's it! Easy! Take this Professor for English 1. If you really find this class difficult, you probably shouldn't be in college.

Professor Reeves is maybe the best Professor I've ever had. He's an expert on his material, but doesn't feel the need to flaunt it in that annoyingly snooty way some Professors do. He's always willing to advise, give extensions, make jokes, and converse honestly. I've never gotten less than an A from him, and I greatly value his opinion.

Great Professor. Do your paper and you won't have to do a final. Fair grader and nice guy. I'd recommend him to other students.

I took his class any chance I got. He is an excellent professor. Out of all the comments his good out ways the bad. Take him you will not regret it. For some he seemed mean at first and then he warms up, he is the greatest. He understands that you have other classes and thats why his work is so simple to do. Just 3 assign and one final.

Really good professor! He's really easy. He grades really easy. He doesn't give a lot of work and his topics are usually interesting. I would definitely recommend him.

Reeves is golden. there isnt any reason why somone would have anything negative to say about him. he teaches well and guarantees you to pass the exit exam if you listen and learn from his style, therefor, i highly recomend him

if you want an easy A, definitely take him. I had the WORST possible english professor ever, & got an NC. Retook it with reeves, and got the A i deserved. You will NOT regret taking him.

He is a great professor. I took him any chance I got. Easy grading system and he is aware that the other professors are jerks. One teacher tried to talk bad about him to me and that made me upset. Take him he is great.

Really easy. Class rarely lasted longer than 30 min!! bout 4 essays and exit exam for final (no midterm). Highly recommend

Easiest class I've ever had, even during high school. Class only lasts an hour where you and a group do grammar assignments and submit for a grade. About 3 or 4 essays, not including exit exam. A genuinely nice man if you talk to him. Funny too. Overall, a nice, breezy class.

GREATEST GUY EVER. First day, came in wearing a linen jacket, aviators, and a Maltese Falcon t-shirt. It helps that he is an awesome lecturer and picks great books. Take him forever.

Easiest A ever!!!! He lets you bring in your essay before its due, and tells you how to fix it up. Also pleasant and easy to get along with. Glad i took his class and would seriously take him for 1020 if he offered it. Take his class or you'll regret it, trust me.

Helpful, concise, and knowledgeable. His sense of humor is so dry that it took me about 3 classes to figure out that he was making a joke.

Such a shame for those who didn't take him for English I-he's laid back about promptness of assignment hand-in...helps you fix over your paper before you hand it in. It's a 15-30 minute class, for real.

There should be no question, best professor out there hardly any actul class time, can give in papers when ever you want, will help you so much with and lets you revise over and over!

Reeves is an amazing English professor no joke, so many of my peers complained about their professors but I absolutely adore mine. He lets kids leave whenever they want. Once I finish my work I can leave and thats about 30 minutes after class starts. Work is beyond easy, and he helps whenever you need!

Awesome professor. He is really outgoing and really easy. I've gotten along with him very well. He is knowledgeable and cares for the subject. The class consists of mostly writing and expanding knowledge with the English language. Overall the easiest class I've ever taken and lets us out early and would take him again in a heartbeat.

Professor Reeves is probably the EASIEST English professor at BC. Just do all your work and show up in class. Definitely Take him.

Easy course, you do light work and don't learn much. Easy on grading, 10/10 would take again. If you have any questions, he can help after class and knows exactly what he's doing.

he gives work and sometimes gives option to take home he is so funny and for those who need help he is available, he also gives you a chance to correct your work and will then give you a better grade if you do

Awesome professor! Great sense of humor, extensive knowledge on what he is teaching, and very chill. You learn a lot in his class, but are never bombarded with an unreasonable amount of work. He teaches you how to read literature in context and what books say about the author. Take him if you want to learn a lot and not be oppressed by a workload.

Reeves is probably the easiest professor out there. He's an extremely lenient grader and will probably give you at least an A- for anything that you write. I don't think it's worth taking any English 1010 proffesor other than Reeves

Incredibly lenient with the work. His papers are short and the assigned work during classes is easy because you can do it in groups. He lets you out early too if you finish your work quickly.

Professor Reeves is amazing! Very lenient and helpful. He may change up the syllabus, in my situation it was for the better. If you take him for 19th Cent Lit he's more concerned with the criticism of the text than the text itself so be sure to read thoroughly.

Willy is the best English professor in Brooklyn college. Take him!
