I enjoyed his class. He has great jokes, keeps you laughing the whole term. He has a laid back teaching approach which is nice for a change. He is fair as well, just do your essays. There is a lot of practice writing and small reading assignments at night, but the nice part is they are all done in class, so there's no overload of homework.

Probably the best professor I've had at KCC. Very funny, helpfull, and smart. You will enjoy his class, and he is very fair.

A refresshing class to take. He has a great sence of humor. He does not hand out and A's very easy. The work is not difficult.

luckly, i had the class w/ him doesn't count to GPA, for me..B+ still not enough, he said B+ is very high in his opinion, he doesn't know that might low our GPA if we want to transfer to the college. and he always pick up those people he knows well, and ignored others.

Take any class with him. He makes you understand the material very well. He made me into an A writer and because of that I was able to get good grades in other classes. Funnny teacher, pay attention you'll actually use what he teaches again.

Mr Rooney is the best teacher I have ever had in KCC. I was his favorite and got the highest grade in the class. He makes the material looks so easy, that if you fail the class, it's your fault. He is one of those teachers that inspires the students to do the work.

Tells sooooooooooo many stories, but its always fun to listen to him and he is very fair about grades!

Trust me when i say this, if your the type of student that wants to succeed and wants to have purity. Then i tell you, Rooney is gold. Ever other teacher said i was no good, immigrant vocublary. However with rooney, i was inspired to do better and go foreward. thank you.

BEST TEACHER EVER!! I have taken ENG 12 with Prof. Rooney before and the guy just wanted me in his ENG 24 class and I did. Most of the stories he mentions are relevant to the class topic and others are just to make you laugh. He could be a standup comedian if he wanted to. Take his class and you'll learned more than you think!

Professor Rooney is hands down the best English professor I've ever had. We all participate, we cover all topics of life and not just English literature. It is important and very rare to have a professor who is interested in engaging with their students on multiple levels.I really appreciate having him and if I could, I would have him again.

He's drop-dead hilarious for an old bag. He keeps the class entertained with random jokes and real-life stories. He flexible with grades and his papers aren't that long for a college English class. Just get good grades on them and you guaranteed a good grade even if you bomb the final. FYI, if you use a laptop and got KBCC WiFi, BRING IT!

Alright, so here's the deal with Rooney. He is a GOOD guy. His stories are funny when you hear them the first time. BUT THEN HE RECYCLES THE SAME DAMN JOKES ALL THE TIME. They are funny once, twice, MAYBE three times. Otherwise, it get's quite annoying. I don't get why he doesn't give A's though:(--i still think you should take him at least once

he is the best teacher iv had so far. very funny and outgoing. he does say the same jokes over and over but hes an older man and thas what they do.he isnt hard on with assigments and extremly flexible with deadlines. i would recommend him to everyone=)

Had him in the winter 2010. Pros:Can come to class whenever you want(dc about attendance), organized,tell jokes, let class out 20mins early. Sometimes let us out 2hrs before next class starts. Must read mice and men Excellent novel. Cons:not a fair grader for ppl who put a lot of effort. repeat jokes. must read many short stories everyday.

Definitely take him if you can. He is nice and intelligent person. During summer module gave us to write 4 essays, 1 paper based on "Of Mice and Men", and final. I think good attendance affect your grade and he has a good sense of humor. I wish more teachers would be like him.

I am international student and was in the country for 3 years at the moment i took his class,he is a good professor i got A- on his class.he is funny and essays were not difficult at all,mostly you write about your own opinion.

HI I DID ENGLISH 24 WITH HIM. I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT HIM. HE GOES OVER EACH CHAPTER OF THE DESIGNATED BOOKS. HES VERY CLEAR ON INSTRUCTIONS. HE ALWAYS ANSWERS QUESTIONS.

This guy is an angel, comedian, and professor altogether. He is easy with his class but you better read the assigned books and don't miss his classes because this professor deserves respect. He is very funny. He can joke non-stop. Seems like he used to work on Comedy Central. You learn a lot from his class!

Took this class twice before & failed miserbally. I wasnt excited about taking this class again but rooney makes you feel relaxed. He is easy to talk to & makes you want to participate. Loved his in class discussions & roonapedia. And he is very animated.

He is a great instructor..you cannot fail his class unless if you are dumb. Easy A. His materials are very clear. In my mind, I nicknamed him Professor Looney Rooney. lol He's very humorous and definitely brightens up the classroom. Fantastic to have for my first semester of college. Light workload, easy grader, and loves to share knowledge. However, he is not a professor you want to have you want a more challenging environment and better feedback on writing.

Do not leave Kbcc without taking him. I passed this class with an easy A. He is hilarious !

I took him in the short summer semester and he was by far the best educator who I've ever had in all my English classes. I feel that most English Professors change the content of your essay while editing, without fully reading it. Prof. Rooney on the other hand, is very smart and motivational, making very useful comments while grading papers.

Great teacher, hand in every single assignment, you can have him proof read your work 2-3 days in advance and he will tell you if it needs to be brushed up. Loves to talk about the presidents of the USA. If you did not read the books you won't get a A on your essays.

This professor is so easy I took him for both eng 12 and 24. He's an easy A but he doesn't give out A's that often it'll mostly be a B+, just do his essay's and you'll be fine and always show up.

Professor Rooney is by far one of the best english professor here in Kingsborough. I took his class over the summer. His class books can be found in the library. Actually looked forward to attending class. Overall he is a chill professor and is hilarious in my opinion.

Professor Rooney is awesome! You would have to work hard to fail this class. You should do the readings but he goes over them in class so it's not needed. Funny stories but very repetitive so be patient. 1 research paper and you pick the topic. In class essays. Crazy easy class. Definitely take this class!

Now I can definitely say that I have met the best professor at KBCC. What a wonderful human being . He makes class so much fun . Actually I'm learning a lot from him in every field. The best class I've ever taken. Take him if you are lucky enough to find an open spot.

Okay so I took Rooney back in the Winter 2019 but I am writing this review now because he is a professor you will think about, that's how memorable he is. He is understanding, and caring. He answers any questions you may have. He gave us 3 books to read throughout the course, essays for each of them, & then a final essay. He is funny too, take him!

He was best professor at KBCC. I took classes with him, hes funny, caring for students and making students laugh during the lecture. Now Im attending a college for bachelor degree and the professors are extremely tough and not creating well as Professor Rooney. I wish he was my professor again at New my college. Take him and enjoy whole semester.

Very easy class he gives three very easy in class essay all three are worth 33%(needs to be three body paragraphs intro& con) research paper that's worth 33% (only needs to be 4 pages). In class final tells you the topics before so you only need to read the chapter that you decide to write on. Take him the easiest A you will get

Professor Rooney was a very well and respectable professor. He shows he cares about his students every day and always makes the class laugh. Very "punctual," as he says, and just a good man all-around. Would definitely take him again as he is the best professor I've had at KB so far.
