He was awesome the first time he was teaching Comm 108 and he really loved my persuasive speech.

The professor is awesome. He really makes the learning in the class very interesting and fun ! It almost feels as if its an easy grade but thats only because the professor really teaches the course well. He really motivates his students to want to do better. I wish I could have him for all my classes.

AWESOME. Really good teacher, he genuinely cares about all his students. He makes class fun to attend, attendance is required but he makes class entertaining so its not even like ur suffering. You honestly just have to show up and listen and you will pass no matter what. Has tests but its on what he teachers you. Very comfortable environment.

Takes attendance every class that will be apart of your grade so make sure you show up. A little tough when he comes to grading speeches, but if you practice and make sure you gave what he asks for you will be fine. Exams are super easy if you pay attention to his lectures.

professor Schleicher is one of the best comm teachers at MC, it is a communication class so you have to participate a lot (speaking in front of the class multiple times as well as 3 graded speeches) He also goes over textbooks by using powerpoint slides(what he goes over is going to be on the test so be prepared to take notes and study!)

Only used book once. Lectures were based off the chapters. Definitions were clear. Comfortable environment which is nice for those of us who have difficulty speaking in front of others. Nice, understanding, and quick with email responses.

Literally one of my favorite professors Ive had at MC! Grading is super fair: show up, participate once in a while, do all assignments, & theres no way not to pass. Hes clear about things, lectures arent boring, and he gets you out of your comfort zone by making you participate in a fun way. Really inclusive as he cares about all his students.

He is a brilliant professor. I took him in summer and his class was clear and simple to follow. There is never too much work to handle, but make sure you still do the work. The class was also very fun to learn because he provided very thought-provoking videos to watch. He also has a great personality, he is a very understanding professor.

Real fun and relatable teacher, and a generally good guy. He was understanding and lenient about assignments if you told him the truth about missing one. He made the material easy to understand and was a cheerful sport. Really lucky to have taken him.

I really enjoyed Professor Schleicher's class. There is a bit of participation pressure but i guess he wants to make the online class feel like an in person. He had a clear grading criteria for the papers but not so much for the speeches. I feel that it is hard to grade someone through a camera while giving a speech. Good and concise lectures

I took COMM 108 accelerated Fall 2021, he was amazing! Came to every class with a great attitude, class was never the full class time always left early. He's responds to emails with questions and concerns, makes class FUN and engaging even for Zoom. You'll see lots of pics of his adorable daughter! TAKE HIM, DONT LOOK FOR OTHER COMM PROFS!

I had a great experience with prof William he is very caring and make everyone speaks during his class by asking fun question such as "what's your favorite restaurant?." He doesn't judge student instead he enjoyed all our speeches even the worse one (mine). You must buy the book in order to pass the exams since the exam are not Easy A .

Schleicher is great. He is definitely knowledgeable about comms and wants to see his students succeed. He is not flexible with late submissions and his lectures alone did not cover the content on the quizzes and exams. He uses timed exams with questions that require thorough understanding. You will need to read and prepare notes for his exams.

I took him last semester of fall 2021He is an awesome professor. He knows how to make the class fun whether it's in person or online. I was hesitant to take COMM108 as an in-person accelerated course (it goes by super fast with lots of assignments), but I'm glad I did with Prof. Schleicher. Professor Schleicher is a wonderful teacher. It's not inherently difficult work but it can be a bit much. If you do all the work on time and actually put effort into it, you'll do fine. He goes over the assignments in detail multiple times before they are due. Clear lectures. Definitely made public speaking doable and even fun. HIGHLY recommend.

Proffesor Lord William Dean Schleicher III is the greatest professor of all time. He is a soft grader but remember to do your discussions posts because they are worth a lot of points. The exams are not hard but don't rush through the answers.

Within the first week, we had to give presentations and my heart was beating so fast. Instead of making eye contact with my classmates, I would make eye contact with the ceiling haha. But now, I am able to project my voice, give eye contact across the room, and I am not nervous like I used to be, thanks to Professor Schleicher!

I took COMM108 as a winter class. I'm a junior and out of all my years in college, I've never had a professor like Prof. Schleicher. The best professor I've ever had!! So kind, caring, and understanding. He WANTS you to succeed. If you take his class, you're guaranteed to learn a lot and get a good grade. He makes the class entertaining and fun!

I was hesitant to take the class because I was taking Psych 102 as well as AP Chemistry, AP Calc AB, AND field hockey, but it all worked out. Mr. Schleicher is a hilarious, fun, and caring teacher. Our project seems intimidating at first, but when he broke it down in class, it was much, much easier to digest and work on. I highly recommend him!!!

Professor Schleicher was an amazing professor. The course I took was accelerated, but I never felt like things were moving too quickly or that his expectations were too high. He adequately prepared students for the speeches, papers and quizzes as well as exams. He was super nice and fun as well as energetic and engaging.

Super funny and engaging, textbook is used a little bit, if you pay attention in lectures you don't really need it. He does have us read from it occasionally so get it or not at your own risk.

The class consists of quiz & discussion for each chapter, Its easy, interpersonal film paper, self concept paper, persuasive speech, informative speech & group project. self concept paper is writing about yourself. Interpersonal film paper is writing on film you like and providing examples from the txtbk. He is an easy grader and very caring.

Take this class!!. I took him for summer 2 and the class was easy going. I was nervous to speak but he was very kind and understanding. We has two speeches to do. One was an informative speech. I gave information on that speech and other was a persuasive speech I had to peruse my audience on what i think is correct. The class is fun.

My experience with his class is good and he was very helpful when I need help on some assignments and gave useful comments on my assignments. I like that he helped improve my communication with others. I love doing the interpersonal movie paper in this class it was the best assignment in this class.

Professor Schleicher is amazing! Took him for COMM108 online and his quizzes are easy. Just read the chapters, do the discussions and you can not get anything else other than a A/B. He's super sweet and kind! I really enjoyed having him as a professor as he somehow elevates the mood of the room when you're feeling down.

Professor Schleicher is absolutely awesome! He truly cares for the wellbeing of his students and makes the class environment always comfy despite being online. There are a about 2-3 speaking presentations, a group project and 2-3 papers. His weekly quizzes reflect the lectures that he goes over during class and I genuinely enjoyed having him!

I've got a lot of social anxiety, but Prof Schleicher made public speaking unintimidating. He made 3 hour class enjoyable and really connected with the students, and was open and happy to answer questions. Tests based directly off lectures/textbook, easy to keep up with if you mind the due dates, he sticks closely to the (really great) syllabus.
