His sci-fi, fantasy and horror as literature class is awesome! He's a very cool guy.

Great teacher. Actually enjoyed going to his class. Most of the instruction was a discussion format between the class, not just a boring lecture like many others. Highly recommended!

THE ONLY WAY HE WOULD FAIL YOU,IS IF YOU PUT NO EFFORT INTO THE CLASS AT ALL. ALSO, HE HELPS WHEN YOU NEED IT BUT YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR!HE'S NOT GOING TO READ YOUR MIND

Clear instructions- follow them to a T and you'll get a good grade. Ignore them and you won't. He tells you exactly what he wants, just make sure that you listen to it and then give that back to him.

His class is hard. He gives a lot of work but you learn alot in it too.

He is a really hard teacher but if you follow the outline he wants you to write in, youll get a good grade. DO THE ASSIGNED READINGS, THE QUIZ GRADES MAKE OR BREAK YOUR GRADE. I liked him, he was really smart and funny.If your looking for the easy A, dont go to him. IF you want to actually LEARN and are willing to work for your grade, hes the man.

What an amazing professor! I had him for a Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror lit class and it was probably the most interesting class ever. He's a top expert in the field and he's really passionate about what he's teaching. He grades his essays quite fairly, but most students do not write well and they they think he's tough. Excellent professor :)

this guy is HARD, but he is really helpful and clear. But this guy exspect you to write like a 4 year english major, don't take him if you are looking for an easy teacher, but take him if u want to learn.

Dr. Senior is the most influential professor I've ever had. His pedagogy has become the template by which I instruct my classes. He has an extensive knowledge of Composition and Literature, and prompts individuals to do their best. All around, a superlative professor.

He is a fair grader and I did learn a lot from his class. He bashed my first couple papers and that motivated me to really try on the last few. Everything worked out ok. He noticed a change in my writing skills. He gives little quizes once or twice a week on stories from the book, do them and they will help your grade.

Professor Senior is an amazing lit teacher. He is hillarious and very sarcastic. He will really teach you a lot. Sometimes he makes you feel a little dumb, but that is only bc he is a genious. I love reading and writting so i really enjoyed his class. I am going to take him for a world war 1 history class and i cannot wait.

This teacher is Sarcastic, but he's very funny. If your stupid he will let you know. Also, don't get on his bad side cause he will "let" you leave his class. He is a good prof. and apparently likes what he does. If I had a chance I would absolutly take him again!

He is a very helpful professor. I learned more about 'correct' writing in this class than I have my whole life. Somewhat difficult, but worth the learning experience.

very good teacher. i learned a lot in his class about writing correctly.Always prepared for class. likes teaching and very smart.hes demanding, and not that easy. expects correct grammar. if you pay attention to the assignment and do not stray in your essays youll do fine. i would recommend this teacher and would take him again

I took him for lit. I loved the class but not him. I've never recieved any lower then a B+ on papers in my life. In his class I received low C's. I had other people read my papers and they grader me highed then him. He's a tough grader and I ended up getting a C in his class even though my quiz avg. was an 86. I was very disapointed.

Awesome prof. Very Interesting person. Knows the field of SciFi/Horror/Fantasy! He knows his stuff! Read the stories and get good grades! Two papers/1 Final. Final can be a bit tricky but if you study you will be good. Must read stories/study! My opinion, he was a down to earth/real person.

He is extremely helpful. I am an English major, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I got back my first essay. I recieved a "C". I worked really hard for the rest of the semester to achieve that "A"!!!

Dr. Senior knocked me down a level, but he made me learn more than any class ever. I didn't just learn simple, forgettable facts--I learned how to think. Take him, work hard, and enjoy the payoff.

He is a cool guy...love him, he doesn't really give tests or anything and he makes the class interesting...He is a really great teacher...and I don't even like English...lol

GREAT TEACHER, MADE THE CLASS FUN, I REALLY ENJOYED HIS CLASS, DONT BE LATE THO, I GOT A D CAUSE I MISSED 2 QUIZZES LOL :( BUT HES EXCELLENT. I RECCOMEND HIM AND PROFESSOR NEILSON, THEY'RE THE ONLY GOOD ENC TEACHERS AT BCC!

Fantastic teacher, always available

He is an excellent teacher. He's funny, sarcastic, and makes English fun. You have to study for his class a lot though. He gives pop quizes a lot, but they're easy if you read the material. His essays are somewhat difficult. The most important thing is he actually teaches you how to write unlike most English teachers at BCC. Highly recommended.

The best class ever! I am stunned everyday when I leave class at his depth of knowledge. He does give a quiz on every reading assignment so if you are a slacker dont take him. I love his class and the way he looks at each part of the story. I never want to miss class. I wish he taught more subjects!

He is a great teacher! However, he grades really tough.I had a hard time in his class b/c of the essays. He gives out a lot of quizzes, so read the material. I have always gotten A's on essays with him my first grade was a "D". But you will definatly walk out of that class knowing how to write. He is very helpful too.

He was funny at, as well as humerous, he always gave enough information on his quizes and essays, he was a great teacher! i would reccommend him !

awesome! he teaches very well and doesnt make assignments too difficult. Just show up to class ON TIME bc there are quizes the first 5 min of class on material he covered the day before, just review the notes every night and its an easy class!

Heaven Sent

If you're afraid of hard work, then his class isn't for you. He grades pretty fairly and knows everything about the english language. He's funny sometimes and he does sometimes put you on the spot. he is very patient and is always available. the only problem i had was that you had to read every night and he gives you a quiz the next day

This professor really knows his stuff. He's literally an English genius. He is also very up front and honest in the way he grades papers; if you get a bad grade, you didn't try hard enough. He's a fantastic professor and anyone willing to work hard to become a great writer should take this class.

Great teacher. He's a tough grader with bad handwriting but I really enjoy the class. He's very smart and has a great sense of humor. Make sure you're there on time and take notes and you'll do fine. He's very serious about grammer but the class is still one of the highlights of my day.

I loved this class! Very intresting and full of diverse and unusual information. He Knows his sci-fi/fantasy/horror very well!. 2 essays on movies and a final. The test can be a bit tricky, but if you read everything, you'll get a good grade. One of the best classes here at Broward College, Take it!

If you're an english or lit major, you have to take this guy!! seriously! he'll teach you to write really well! great guy but a LOT work.

Whoever said he's a terrible teacher needs to take a course in spelling! Senior is a wonderful teacher who knows what he's talking about! I took him for ENC 1102 and Literature of the science fiction and supernatual which was absolutely amazing! You want to learn and have interesting discussions take him!

i could not understand his writing and he is a very strict marker

I think that Professor Senior is great teacher . He is seriously a genious and you learn so much in his class.IT is not ridiculously hard like people say it is . If you try and listen to his feedbacks then you should good.I ended up with an A.

Prof. Senior knows his stuff. He keeps your reading list varied and interesting, and draws great parallels between the stories you read and the real world. If you like the reading material and your up to doing about 5 or 6 novels in one semester its a great class. Daily quizzes are a cinch if youve read the stoies and the essays are interesting a

Best professor you will EVER have at B.C. He knows his stuff, he challenges you, his assignments are usually very interesting and he's just overall wonderful. Recommend him for everyone and anyone that wants to LEARN.

I loved him! Taking him again for 1102. He really helped me understand sentence structure without me even realizing I was learning! Amazing! Helped me improved my writing by a million!

A very good teacher, learned to be a better writer. simple five min quizes in the beginning of some classes. 3 or 4 essays. not the easiest grader, but if you do what he's looking for then its easy. you have to try but if you do you'll comeout with a good grade and alot of knowledge. im taking him for 1102 as well so he cant be that bad !

I miss Prof. Senior every time I have to sit through another professor's lifeless lecture. I learned how to write with more detail and clarity in his ENC1101 class and received an A in his sci-fi literature class. Take him if you care about learning but don't expect an easy A.

He was really really tough. Oh my! I pray I get an A in his class. With most of my essays with B, I don't know. But I pray. His final is also so predictable, like it's something for basic literature classes, but because it was such a long time that we studied it, it's pretty hard. But I know I'll pass it, by God's grace with an A too.

wOW this class to me was boriiinngg. He is very sarcastic. But I have to say the man really knows his stuff. If you do not like science fiction, horror, or fantasy DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. If you have no time to read DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I learned things in the class though so overall I give the class a C

This professor was the best english teacher i have ever had. Yes hes difficult but he is very clear and takes a great deal of interest in whats being taught. i highly recommend him if you want to learn something instead of having a useless class.

Tough grader! I didn?t do so well on the first essay but over time they got better and I felt my writing skills were improving too. I ended up with an A. Great professor overall but don?t take the class if you are not going to read!! I really felt like I learned how to write at a higher level

Senior is the best english teacher I've ever had. I took him for 1101 & 1102, and I got A's in both. There are quizzes for the reading, and if you read you pass-it's that simple. The clas is really fun & easy(if you're not a complete lazy slacker). He's also very helpful. My writing has improved so much too; TAKE HIM you won't regret it!!

Honestly, I thought Professor Senior was going to be a difficult person.Turns out, he is an amazing teacher.The only reason why people believe he's difficult is because:You must read, attend class,take notes, and there's a research paper.He's quite a people's person.He just knows English in depth.You'll learn plenty of the basic skill you will need

Fun and interesting course...he really makes you and lets you think. loved his way of teaching the course. he was funny too lol. i would take any class taught by him. Pushed my brain to where it should be :)

Had him for Lit. of Supernatural and Sci-Fi. Awesome class! LOTS of reading. We read 5 novels plus several short stories. Had to write 2 papers but it wasn't too difficult. Prof. Senior is awesome. You won't regret taking this class.

I really enjoyed the class. He gave us 3 short responses, 3 essays, and a 5 page research paper

I went to the class and didn't even realize that I was learning until he gave us a quiz and I got A's on them. He's a really good teacher, but he's a little tough with grading. However, over the semester you DO notice how much better your writing gets compared from the first day. I definitely don't regret taking his class, I've learned a lot.

Tough grader, I don't believe anybody ever got above a C on their essays. But from day 1 to the last day you will notice your writing improving 100%. 12 Journal summaries, 3 essays, and a 5 page research paper. He only answers questions on his "office hours" and you have to make an appointment. His personality is something else, I enjoyed the class

This was an unbelievably awesome class. Senior was extremely knowledgeable, and very fair when it came to grading. He is not a hard grader. The students that would get unsatisfactory grades on their papers would admit they didn't read the book. Put some effort in people, and you would get A's!!!

I loved my ENC 1102 Honors class. Professor Senior is a great instructor. I learned so much in his class. He gave me great feedback on my essays and helped improve my writing. I would recommend him to anyone:)

I was very nervous after hearing that he was a tough grader but I ended up with an A. The only essay I got lower than an A on was the final research paper and even that was a B+. If you do the work and actually try, you should do well. He is sarcastic and can make you feel like your question was stupid. I enjoyed his class and would take him again.

Really understands the subject, and the average intelligence of the people in the class. Easy reading. Not a big fan of some of the prompts for essays, but analyzing greatfun books make up for it. Not much in terms of textbook learning, but introduced new ways of looking at Novels and short stories. Great class.

One of the few good professors at BC, but he makes you work for your grade so don't expect it to be easy. He also really knows his stuff.

I do like his personality and how he is; however, I thought his lectures were awfully boring. I would be finding myself wanting to sleep in his class constantly. I believe he should incorporate different activities to get the students more involved with the readings, and then I will recommend him. Other than that, this was an overall easy class.

Senior was great; he obviously likes what he teaches and it shows, and he's happy to let a small debate come up in class as long as it involves the source material. Opinions are welcomed and he doesn't mind if you disagree with him. He has a very dry sense of humor and grades toughly, so it's best to go over your papers a few times before due.

I absolutely loved Professor Senior, he was very clear of what he expected of you in terms of your assignments and essays. He is witty, approachable, and knows whats he's talking about. I definitely plan on taking him again for enc1102.

Excellent professor. The best I've met during my 2 years at BC. If you're planning to transfer to university, taking his class might be the best training you can find at BC. Highly knowledgeable, interesting classes. He really tries to get the most out of his students. Highly recommended.

Professor Senior taught me a lot. My writing improved. I would definitely recommend him. However, he's sarcastic, but you'll get used to it. What matters is that you learn in the class.

Professor Senior goes straight by the syllabus. He is very sarcastic and comical which keeps his class interesting. The homework is easy and if you want an A, just do exactly what he wants. Easy- going class and you really do learn a few things. 10/10 would have this professor again!

This guy is great. He's really funny and sarcastic most of the time. There aren't any tests at all. All we did was read a novel, summarize the chapters, and discuss them. You'll have essays too; they're not that bad. It's not hard to please him either. He gives good feedback if you can actually read his handwriting; it's not very good.

This class and Professor Senior aren't for everybody. There are weekly journals that come straight from the text book and four major papers throughout the term. However, he is very good at explaining his points and gives plenty of chances for you to ask. Huge on participation and you will 100% for sure be called on and put on the spot. Be prepared!
