Good teacher and fun to listen to. (A*K*A "Master Sweet")
Excellent teacher. Math is not my subject but I came out of this class with a full understanding of all areas in the course. Willing to help.
Nice, fun teacher. Does not go over homework. tests are hard. curves grades. He knows a lot!
Rediculously hard tests! It goes way deeper than what was covered in class. Can't miss a day or you miss to much. He knows his stuff but he can't bring it down to the learner's level.
This class in general is hard. It was my second time to take it and I did much better in there with him than I did the first time. He's a fun teacher and it's easy to understand him and he'll keep trying to explain it until you get it.
He gives worksheets for each section, but you should get 100 on everyone cuz he helps you and you can cheat/work in groups. Math XL kinda sucks but isn't a big part of the grade. the tests are the worst part. but if you study thoroughly you'll be fine.
VERY HARD CLASS! terrible teacher! test problems were nothing like what was taught in class! didnt seem to care students were doing badly in the class
he is a very good teacher, he helps you on what we are learning , teaching is very clear, test are pretty much what we learn in that class.
Took his 8 week class. Very fast paced, dont miss a day. But overall he is a great teacher, very knowledgeable and he knows how to teach. Willing to help with any questions. The tests are hard, but he gives you time in class before you take it to study.
What we did in class was easy to understand, but the tests and quizzes were extremely hard and nothing like he had explained in class. The teacher is very hard and doesnt seem to care about anyone's grades.
DO NOT TAKE HIS MINIMESTER! he teaches you all of the easy stuff then expects you to know the hard stuff, im sure a regular semester is alot easier but he gives homework assignments for each section in class, plus math xl and quizzes
His examples at class are easier than than the hw he gives to you...but he's a great teacher! it's very easy to understand him,he's very funny and very very helpful! TAKE HIM
He's a really really funny prof! He teaches a hard subject but he's good to take if you already understand the subject (like if you failed it before).
"Master" Sweet is nice. His homework and quizzes are online and they are more difficult than what we do in class. Just do the homework and the study plan online and you will do fine on the quizzes. He grades on a 1000 point scale, so if you are going to miss points, try to miss them on the tests because you can't make those up. 900-1000 points = A
One of my favorite profs this year! Sure it was a little hard sometimes, but math isn't easy. He's very clear and knows what he's talking about. He cracks random jokes and they're so funny. We always had nice random class discussions the first few minutes of class. I wish he taught calculus so i could have him again!! I'd definitely recommend talki
I looooveee his class. he's very funny, definitely know what he's talking about. i think he really has passion for math, he believes that everything in the world is related with math. of course it can be difficult sometimes, but he's willing to help whatever problems you have. make sure u come to every class :)
Excellent professor!!!
best math prof ive ever had, take his couse! it is not easy ill tell you that much but he will help you as many times as you need till you understand. only like 2 A's in my class. not an easy grade, you've got to earn it
Math was my best subject, and in his class I was failing. His tests and homework are nothing like his lectures. He doesn't teach very well either. If you miss a class expect to teach the material yourself because he doesnt care if you missed even if it was excused he still wont help you. I'd stay away if you plan to take his Calc class.
MONOTONE TEACHER!!!! His voice alone makes the class seem like forever. He is not very clear with everything so it is a must u go to him for clarity after class. If you miss a day, better off teaching yourself he won't help you. He runs thru his lectures making it opaque. Gives a ton of work, and almost every class is a test.
Not very helpful. I asked for help to "bridge the gap" between the math he was teaching and what I learned last semester and he told me "sorry your last professor sucked". If you are taking this class to remediate yourself (you have never seen the material before) he is the worst. Find someone else to TEACH you the math, because he will not.
I had a great time in Master Sweet's class. The material covered is not that complicated if you pay attention. He explains it in a way that is easily understood, and would be happy to re-explain it during office hours. Plenty of practice is all that is needed to get a A.
He is a terrible teacher. Math is my best subject, and my last math class was similar to this one but he would only take the work is it was exactly the same as his. Doesn't make things clear and just speeds through it to get done and leave. I recommend to look for someone else.
Best math teacher I have had. Math is not my strongest subject but he made it easy.
Already taking calc in highschool i assumed i would do well in calc at community college, i was wrong. If you dont do math exactly his way you are wrong. i got three answers wrong, total on a test and failed it. find another professor it doesnt get worse. I have never received below a b in math until sweet got his hands on me.
At first he seemed like an okay guy. He told funny jokes here and there but when it came down to test, complete opposite. Although he joked about making people drop the class I noticed that he wasn't. Test were nothing we actually went over. Spent sleepless night studying for exams then when it came "what we prepared for wasn't on the test"
He has a very dry sense of humor. his class is hard and on the test it is his way or the highway because you get points taken off or just get it completely wrong if you do not do it his way or if you do not show one step. All of his notes that he gives you in class are mostly definitions with like one example.I wouldrecommend a different teacher.
Mandatory online work, optional written work. Online textbook & scientific calculator required. Lecture is a little boring but not too fast. Little extra credit. Funny exit passes:) Would recommend IF you're already familiar with the course material. People who are new to it seem to have a hard time, but as a math major I enjoyed the course:)
Class is challenging, if only because of the grading policies. He will take points off for every little mistake in notation in your work, even if your answer is 100% correct. For lecture he gives a large math definition and then does about 2 examples before moving on to the next topic. I would recommend him only if you are familiar with calculus.
hard class a lot of the concepts were difficult for me. But He is a good teacher and has GREAT office hours and is willing to help. You must work hard to do good in this class. These are higher level courses that he teaches so don't expect to be be babied. This class helped me to fine tune my math skills and it was only a summer course.
I would not take him. His test are tough and he goes through the material really quickly.
Sweet is a GREAT math teacher. I took him for both Cal I and Cal II. The class isn't easy, but he explains things very well and will always help if you ask.
Bad Professor, his tests are hard, expects you to do it his way, or else he will take off, and his online hw & quizzes are nothing to what he teaches you in class, so you're basically teaching yourself again, and when he teaches in class, you can't read his handwriting because its all bad, even he confessed it. Would not recommend, save yourself.
Mr. Sweet is a really clear teacher. He goes in depth of why and how things work, some teachers won't take the time to explain that. You have to stay on top of your online homework and the optional assignments to make a good grade. His tests aren't tough if you study. I would recommend him.
Coming from someone who aced AP Calculus in high school, I do not recommend this professor at all. If you don't go through your problems EXACTLY how he wants, he won't hesitate to count off. On our latest test, the class average was a 55, but he refuses to give a curve. Do not take.
I had sweet for cal 1&2. He's such a great person! In cal 1 I got a C- it was very hard but his cal 2 class is easier! super willing to help you anytime he can you just have to go to him. His tests are very hard, have to study a TON. Online hw and quiz for every class. Take if you're great @ math if not take another prof! Loved him, not my grade
Naturally this is a challenging class, but he makes it enjoyable. He is incredibly understanding if you need help. Also, the class notes are super helpful. Usually I have to read the chapters in the textbook to understand the material, but the notes worked fine. He also gives awesome exam reviews. Also, we usually got out of class 40 min. early
Better of all the math profs I have had. got a C but given how hard math is for me it is not his fault. If you don't know how he got an answer he is willing to help. lot of online hw again typical math class. the only problem was with the test reviews in the fact that sometimes stuff we did not talk about in class but still great
He does not give quiz in class; only online homework and quiz. I can assure you that taking his course will save you a lot of time comparing to other professors. He also replaces your lowest exam by your final grade. I would definitely take his Cal3 if he has one.
He is a bad professor! He is monotone so the lectures are very boring. He gives no extra credit, & his lectures are very fast pace, he gives a bunch of definitions & 2 examples and moves on. He does not TEACH the math to you, so if you are not good with math and are not familiar with the material DO NOT TAKE HIM. ONLY take him if your good in math.
Great prof, very helpful! The class was pretty challenging, but I went to the tutoring room and to his office hours, so that saved my semester! He is there for you if he sees that you are working hard and really care about learning the material. He usually let us out of class early too.
I loved Sweet's class, if I could take him for the rest of college I would. He made calc seem like a breeze for me, at least. I took him for calc 1 & 2, and I feel like his calc 1 class was either harder, or I was able to grasp calculus much better the second time around. Either way, I highly recommend him--the straight 5's aren't an exaggeration.
A great math teacher! Has fill-in notes ready to print out online, always ready to answer questions (takes them by person), and is flexible for office hours. Tough course but its Calc II so you have to work for your grade. He's great at explaining techniques, and you get what you put into this course. He's pretty funny and a well rounded prof.
The class is hard but Sweet is a great professor that explains things very well. I did really well in Calculus in high school but I ended up with a C in Sweet's class. He is a very good teacher and is willing to help you outside of class. He also has a sense of humor but is quiet about it. Great professor. Highly recommend
REALLY LOVE HIM! His lectures were very clear. He replaced our original prof during summer session one bc he got into a bad wreck. Mr. Sweet cares a lot and wont make you feel stupid. DO THE EXTRA PRACTICE HANDOUTS BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE SAME QUESTIONS DIRECTLY OFF OF THE EXAM! These also come with an answer key so you can check yourself.
Mr. Sweet was a GREAT professor. It was an extremely difficult course and I slacked off towards the end, the grade I got was entirely my fault. If you show up, do your homework, and study adequately there is no reason you shouldn't get a good grade. He is a kind man and extremely helpful and always ready to help you in office hours if youre stumped
Professor Sweet is definitely a bit geeky. His interests aside, he's pretty good with his instruction, and will help if you don't understand. The final killed my grade as you do go over quite a lot in CAL 2. Best advice I can give for it is refresh yourself over all topics covered. You really earn your grade with this guy.
I can't believe how many positive reviews are on here. Seeet is a cool dude and has awesome Star Wars theories, but DO NOT take his calc II class. You are voluntarily signing up for the hardest math class Blinn has to offer. The reviews are 30-60 horrible problems and are not pertinent to the exam. The finals was HORRIBLE. I'm not exaggerating!!!
MrSweet is an understanding professor and honestly will help you if you ask for it. You just have to put in the effort and keep in contact with him. Keep up with your work.
He explains things very thoroughly. I've always struggled with math and I am not struggling in his class. He's very chill and ready to help you out.
Overall pretty good choice as a math prof. His lectures were boring but helpful for the homework and tests. There's quite a bit of homework online but as long as you keep up with it, it's pretty easy. Do the reviews he gives right before the tests!!! A lot of the questions on tests are very similar to review questions!!
This was definitely an easy class. His lectures are pretty boring but he does cover the material in a way that makes sense, and shows you how to do it on the calculator. Make sure that you keep up with the online assignments!! If you miss due dates, it really starts to affect your grade. The tests are super easy, and he drops at least 1.
The best professor I've had so far. He makes everything very easy to understand and is always at his office hours ready to help. He replies to emails really fast and actually cares that you understand the material. I'm so sad he isn't teaching 1325 next semester ): I would definitely recommend him!
Good professor, however the online portion of the class was unclear and hard. If you need help he's more than happy to help you out!
Mr. Sweet was a great teacher! The lectures tended to drag on, but he always made sure I understood the material. Dont procrastinate on your homework and you will definitely pass. Make sure you know how to do every question on the reviews because his test is the exact same but with different numbers.
His notes are very easy to comprehend and he will answer any questions you have. He gives a decent time frame for homework to be due and the reviews for tests are amazing. He cares for his students and is understanding. Easy A on the tests if you do all your homework and reviews. Would definitely take again!!
mr. sweet was such a great math teacher! he was always willing to help students who needed more help and he made the lectures very easy to understand. theres a lot of homework but you can work each question as many times as you want. no quizzes in class and the tests were short and pretty easy
I struggle in Math but decided to take this course in the minister and do not regret it. Prof Sweet is great teacher and he gives you many resources to understand which made it easier for me. Unfortunately I had the flu during the final but I did well keeping up with homework as it was my only class at the time. I WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN!
Sweet is not a pushover professor. Difficult, but fair. Do what is required and you'll do well. Study material from previous class before the next one, you'll be given a one question graded-quiz. DO the review and the homework, but focus on the general concepts, homework has generally more messy calculations than the exams. Exams are concept-based.
Easy A. I took the online class and made an A (and haven't taken a math class in over 20 years). I read the chapter, then watched the videos and did the required homework (did none of the extra problems you CAN do) and made an A. You can re-work the homework, quizes and units tests several times to improve your grade. Easy peasy.
One of the best profs I've had so far! Sometimes he'll prove some theorem for the fun of it + you can tell he loves math. pop quizzes so be prepared + online hw due every class. Calc's difficult naturally but go to his office hours he's good helping w/ things you don't understand. the final's hard as hell but he curved my grade point and a half!
Sweet's a solid prof. Keep up with the material, he gives quizzes about 2/3 of classes on the stuff he lectured on the previous class. Test are fair but thorough. They're not as hard as the reviews and questions are more similar to the homework. Class ends 30 min early most every day. My best advice? Stay for practice problems, he's a big help
I took 1325 in the summer and it was great. Prof Sweet is super cool and explains the material thoroughly and is super helpful if you're confused. The online HW was really the hardest part because there was a lot of it due in a short period of time.
Great prof and even better guy. (20 question)Tests are just like the review! I seriously suck at math but made a 100 in the class so if I can do it you can too. Would recommend getting a tutor (A+ tutoring or College Knowledge Center) if youre not strong in math and itll pay off like it did for me! Highly recommend taking him!!
Professor Sweet is a great dude, however his class is unnecessarily difficult and he gives one, sometimes two pop quizzes per day. The final for Math 2412 was one of the hardest finals that I have ever taken, but overall I do think that Professor Sweet is a good guy.
Definitely knows calculus, struggles actually teaching it. Struggles with the online portion of class and being organized in general with grading and responding to emails. Gives at least one pop quiz a week but usually two. My class was 1hr 15min and we usually got out at the 40-50 min mark and he gives up to 10 points extra credit before each test
I took his contemporary mathematics course because I needed a math credit for my associates and to get into SHSU. He was helpful if you asked for help. Great at replying to emails, but absolutely NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED. He takes his job as a junior college prof as if he was teaching at Harvard or something. I would not take him again.
Try not to miss class because it is easy to fall behind. Be on top of the online homework because those points add up. Know that the reviews are JUST like the test. He is a nice man and his class was very straight forward. He tells you exactly what he expects on projects. It's easy to make an A, just put in a little work.
Show up to class, manage the online homework, follow his syllabus for projects and you will make an easy A. Available outside of class to work with you and responds to emails quickly. The tests are exactly like the review, short and simple.
Everyday take notes. At least once a week there's an in-class pop quiz, but sometimes these quizzes are "participation quizzes" that give you extra credit if you get it right. He's a laid back guy. He has online homework and quizzes and the homework sheets he hands out in class are optional. I would do these though because these are test questions.
Professor Sweet is great. As long as you do the homework and pay attention then it is an easy A. He explains things very well and is very helpful if there is something you don't understand. Homework can be redone until you get an A, and as long as you understand the basics of the material then the tests are a breeze. Great professor.
Professor Sweet is the best math teacher you could ever get at Blinn! He leaves time at the end of every class to help any students, will give online homework, but will help with all of it if you ask. He is always trying to make every student better and one of the best math educators I've ever had.
Sweet is a pretty chill prof. There's online homework frequently but if you manage your time well it shouldn't be horrible. He gives attendance quizzes which are an easy 100 if you're there. If you aren't a math person like me, DON'T SKIP. He does post notes online, but it can be difficult if you have to teach it to yourself.
He is a really good professor. You have to show up to class or you'll get behind, but he usually lets class out early. All of the homework is online, and usually pretty easy as long as you pay attention in class. I would definitely take his class again.
Mr. Sweet was a good teacher, it was just that the course was extremely hard. We started with 30 and finished with 11 people. Mr. Sweet taught the material pretty well, but it was just a lot to cover in a short period of time that made it so fast. When we would finish lecture he would give us a worksheet and help us with it if we needed the help.
if ur taking him online it better be the only class he doesnt open that weeks worth of stuff until monday night stuff is due every day and quizzes on friday i had to drop because i didnt have time for my other classes by the way he doesnt answer emails so good luck ur on ur own
I had Professor Sweet for MATH 1314 online and he was the best professor I have had at Blinn. Most of the assignments are through MML but there are a few written quizzes through ecampus. I personally had a hard time learning through the recorded lectures. I learned everything by asking friends and using the "Help me solve this" tool in MML.
Sweet is pretty chill. Lectures can be boring but it is Cal 2 after all. Easy homework and optional worksheets but you're better off doing them. Expect a pop quiz at least once a week, if you prepare yourself for them you'll definitely pass. Grades reasonably, but you'll have to work for an A. Strong dad vibes from this dude.
He was a really great prof and person. He definitely was ready to help if any was needed at all. He did most of his grading through online since this semester has been a little weird but he is one of the better professors about getting things graded in a timely manner and giving feedback on what you did wrong.
I took Professor Sweet for an online winter minimester and he was the best Professor I could have asked for. Gives great lectures, notes that you can fill out yourself and follow along with, as well as extra credit. I 10/10 recommend taking this Professor!
Great professor for a relatively easy math class. The notes are great to follow along with, but they are not required. There was 1 or 2 hw assignments every class, but they were not too bad. His review sessions before the tests really helped.
HORRIBLE professor. he moves extremely fast and doesnt care at all if the entire class is behind (which my ENTIRE class was). he also makes you feel stupid for asking questions and gives zero time to even write but expects you to know everything. dont take him unless you already know what youre doing perfectly.
This professor was absolutely horrible. He was extremely monotoned while also moving a mile a minute. He ignores questions and just moves on. He seemed to not care about his students success. The class average for the exams was failing and he gave no curves. Would not recommend this professor for anyone.
I just didnt do as well as Id hoped in this class. Not only is the math hard, but we were just told to learn better when the class average was a 55 on the tests at BEST. I recommend a different professor if you arent the best at math...
Mr. sweet is definitely a one of a kind math professor, some how he knew exactly how to phrase everything so you would never leave a lecture confused. I had Mr Sweet for pre cal and Calc 1. If you have an option to take his class, take it!!!
Took his class and was in danger of failing. This had nothing to do with him. My account was bugged and I flunked the first test, as well as forgetting to turn in some assignments. Even with all this he was very helpfull recorded all his lectures and I was able to bring up my grade from failing to a B with the last 3 exams and homeworks.
Can be a harsh grader but he wants the class to succeed and is very helpful. The only frustrating thing about this class was entering work into the graphical equation editor on tests. It made the tests 3 hrs long. Everything else about the class was pleasant.
I took this during the summer semester fully online. It an easy class as long as you do your assignment and he also give extra credit for the exam reviews and it helps a lot and improve your grade a lot.
The professor was one of the easiest ones I've had here. I don't care much for Algebra but I did well in this class. He gave out extra credit if you did the test review which is recommended that you do. There is homework online but it's really easy to do and you can give yourself hints on MyLab which makes it a lot easier. Overall, easy A class.
Calc 2 is just not easy in general, but Mr. Sweet makes it so much easier. He can be a strict grader but does offer very useful feedback. My advice? Practice practice practice especially with the practice exams he offers! because he adds whatever you got on those practice exams to your raw exam score. Seriously tho, take him!
Professor Sweet is a good teacher. He is highly proficient in calculus and puts effort into his lectures. Calculus is tough and you must learn by practicing(!). He is a friendly professor and answers questions by email, frequently on weekends too. There's extra credit opportunities (do them). I recommend Professor Sweet for engineering students.
He's really good about helping outside of class, but is very strict on grading and will take points away for stuff like not writing "dx", etc.. There was extra credit for every exam and gives reviews (some questions on the exams are straight from the review), just drill practice problems and you will do great. He does have a monotone voice tho.
Sweet is a nice dude, but his lectures are really boring (monotone voice). I recommend attending his office hrs if u have questions bc he explains things really well there. Cal 2 isn't too hard if u put in the work, & all of Sweet's exams had built in extra credit which was nice :) Lectures are organized & he has neat handwriting, all HW online.
I took Professor Sweets class this summer and really wish I had him for a semester class. He is great at going through the material and really wants you to understand it. He can be a tough grader for quizzes and tests but he does give really good feedback to help for the final. Great professor and do the exam reviews since they are extra credit!
Professor Sweet is a fantastic professor. Calculus is a hard subject; you have to work hard if you want an A, but professor sweet knows his stuff and will help you along the way. Overall, I would say he is probably the best Calculus II prof you are going to get.
If your taking Calc I without any prior knowledge, it's very difficult to understand his lectures. He moves through the curriculum super fast and grades really rough. But if you put in the work, you will get an A.
Professor Sweets class in enjoyable if you make it. I highly suggest using his officer hours this is what really made me successful in his class. There is a lot of work between homework, online quizzes, homework quizzes, and extra credit for the exams. I really understood calculus after professor Sweet but he really makes you work for your grade.
Sort of nice but his teaching was unhelpful, answered questions vaguely, very monotonous voice. Lengthy assignments that aren't worth it. No make up exams. Final can make up for one exam but I had a family death to miss the content in the first place, so I couldn't use that opportunity for another exam grade. I felt lost and received no support.
Didn't answer questions directly or give grace when I was in a difficult personal situation. He has a monotone voice so just be aware if that may be a problem. Tough grader, tons of homework and 60+ question reviews that doesn't necessarily help for exams. Generally a nice guy tho but not the right fit if you're not already skilled at calculus.
Calculus 2 is a difficult course, but Professor Sweet is a great option. His reviews tend to be harder than the exams. Being an online summer 10 week course, he was open to answer any questions we had as promptly and clearly as possible.
I went to class and could not keep up with how fast he was going. I started teaching myself with his recorded lectures but in all honesty, I don't think he made learning the material any easier. He kinda expects you to know a lot of things. The homework's dont correlate with exams as well as I wish it did.
Given how many bad things I had heard about calc 2, this wasn't bad at all.
Sweet is a decent professor, he isn't the best about explaining things very clearly and there is tons of homework you have to complete in a short amount of time. I wouldn't say he's the worst professor you could take but he's definitely not the best.
He is very nice and willing to help if you're lost (if you show that you genuinely care). The online HW is way harder then his tests (which are usually multiple choice). He gives access to notes and other resources. I'm really bad at math, but I'm doing way better than expected. I'd recommend him, but be prepared for lots of work, it's not easy.
I got switched to Prof. Sweet last minute, but he wasn't the worst I could've gotten. I don't know if it was him that made this class hard or if it was the material that made this class hard. Regardless, get ready for calc to be your entire life! GO TO THE TUTORING CENTER!! Saved my grade and the only reason I made as high of a grade I did.
Took as a 5 week class, don't do this. Treat this class as a 9-5 at such a fast pace, don't travel or vacation. There were four exam reviews, each counting up to half a point of extra credit. Before the final, there's a cumulative make up exam that replaces your lowest of four exams. Lengthy lectures but well put together
Goes fast but I took it in 8 weeks so class was 3 hours long we typically ended class early and he would stay after to help with anything you didn't you didn't understand
Don't recommend 8wk if you don't have background in calculus already. Most of the my math lab can teach you how to do the homework. Exams ~20 questions usually always multiple choice. He posts the lectures online after class so you can get away with skipping. Drops some of ur lowest grades and offers extra credit exam reviews. Just very fast paced.
If you have no prior trig knowledge, avoid this class! Unrealistic pace and the 16-week was faster than my 4-week winter class! Quizzed on non-consecutive chapters. Transfer, go around, run for the hills, skip the course, SAVE YOURSELF! This course is my only drop at Blinn. Revised from spring 2024.
This professor is extremely nitpicky with his grading on free response questions on exams and quizzes, but he gives fair partial credit.
He's not the WORST calc professor at Blinn. However, he is an EXTREMELY harsh grader. So much so to the point where I am getting half credit on questions while getting the correct answer. If you have to take Sweet for schedule reasons, do it. If you have the choice of someone better, take them. He is easy to access outside of class which is nice.
Worst Algebra professor. Sink-or-swim and doesn't help you digest any of the material. I had 100% attendance, took notes every class, worked outside of class to help understand the course material, maintained an A in homework and Quizzes, only to leave Algebra with a D-. He WILL NOT help you if you don't understand something, suggests a tutor.
Very good professor, explains tough concepts well. Clear expectations and dates, generous in giving some points on work shown, but hard to get full points. Overall a great teacher who just teaches a hard class.
I took the 4 week online summer class and it was brutal. There were assignments due every single night, even on weekends. It was incredibly time consuming and you will likely not do well if you have other commitments in addition to this class. He does not make it easy as he takes off points for EVERYTHING. The 16 week class is probably fine though.
If you want to make sure the amount of preperation you do translates to the grade you get in the class, then take it! I studied for 7 hours before every test and ended with an A+ in the class. Mr. Sweet is a very nice and genuine dude.
He is goated with the sauce and the best teacher ive had since my dad passed away in the great fire.
I struggled with math all of high school, and this class truly helped with a lot of my foundational struggles. Professor Sweet is a great instructor, and he's always willing to help students when they're struggling in the coursework. He is a great and chill professor, 10/10 recommend!
loved this guy, he really wants you to understand the material and cares. I struggle with math a LOT but when I would use all the materials he gave us it was easier to get the concepts. exams are pretty much hwk problems just worded differently. gets exam grades back day of. taking an 8am next semester just so I can have him as the prof :)
He's a very kind and patient professor! If you're a visual learner, you'll really benefit from his teaching style. Attendance isn't required, but I recommend going to stay on track—especially for 8-week courses. The class is well-organized, and homework is easy 100s if you just do it!
The thing I appreciated most about him was he genuinely cares about his students and takes the time to make sure everyone understands the material. Even though the concepts can be confusing his lectures are clear and he explains things in a way that makes sense. He's super approachable, and willing to answer questions or give extra help.
Great guy! So good I am taking the next math with him next semester. He can teach fast but is so considerate to stay overtime if you have questions. I suck at math but I trust him so well as a teacher and did better than I thought I would. Very test heavy class but the homework VERY WELL prepares you for exams! Take him if you can :)))
Take someone else and save yourself the trouble. Extremely harsh grader and would mark off points on test if you didn't show work the way he wanted it. He would give you extra credit for completing the test reviews but the reviews were very long and would have problems on it that we never went over. Just would not take him if I was you.
Best professor for 1324, he gives up to 2% extra credit and his exams are short and multiple choice. If you do the MyMathLab homework and study a little, his class is an easy A. Take Prof Sweet
Take Professor Sweet!! He is such a nice professor and he genuinely cares about making sure you understand the material. The content in this class is difficult, but he gives partial credit on tests. You will get an A if you put in the effort on your MyMathLab, and put time into studying for this class.
