I loved this man to death. We didn't have an issued text book, but it made his lectures and paying attention more useful. He had an interesting way of talking that made you want to pay attention. He's a quirky man, and I loved the way he taught. I'd recommend his class to anyone. Pay attention. Take notes. You'll get an A. He's an esay/fair grader.

GREAT professor, I decided to make soc my 2nd major after taking his class. So funny with great little anecdotes. Really interesting topics & no textbook (just a short novel and internet readings). 3 very short papers, a few short answer exams (very easy if you take notes in class), a few pop quizzes, and one longer paper. Def take his class.

Tsitsos is very disorganized and rambles off topic way too much. His wording is very tricky almost like hes purposely trying to make you get the question wrong. He claims that he does not grade our papers too picky but he literally took off points for "incorrect grammar usage" when I made a simple typo. I met with him & he didn't care to help much

This is tricky because the course is fairly easy but hes a weird grader. Like youll think its easy and the chart assignments are easy but theyre worded so weirdly youll get them wrong.

Hated this class. Class is based on only 100 points so if you get 1 point off, it's a whole percentage off your grade and its like he tries to give trick questions. Class based on 6 chart assignments (5 questions each), 2 exams, and 2 papers. He rambled so much and he got off topic a lot. I would take any other sociology professor.

I've had Tsitsos for Theory and Religion and Society, both upper level 300 courses, and got an A in both. Some people do well others don't. I like the way he organizes grading, + the lecture format. He teaches off the PowerPoint and has about 2-3 papers and 2 exams. Honestly, he's a good professor if your willing to do your part but not an easy A.

Attendance wasn't required, but assignments are always worded weirdly making them hard to complete. The few times I went to class he was very arrogant and rude. This class should've been super easy but it really wasn't, take it with any other prof if you have the option.

Professor Tsitsos is a high strung stress monster... and it's hilarious. He is clearly new to teaching and does not handle the stress of it well. He will often go into rants about how hard it is teaching his students. He's never quite intimidating enough to scare anyone and he'll awkwardly back down from his rage. It is quite the show.

Professor Tsitsos is a decent professor. He knows a lot about the material but he is a bit all over the place. You will need to buy a book and there are few assignments. There is a paper, exams, and chart assignments. Each chart assignment is 50 points and 5 questions each worth 10 points. Overall, he's a good teacher.

He gives a few weeks for each assignment, so you have time to do them. They are fairly easy. Two papers on a book he assigns. There are chart assignments every few weeks. a Midterm and final. the midterm was online, so I assume the same for the final. he is hard to focus on with lecture but its an easy class.

Doesn't make class mandatory and barely anyone goes. I went to every class and he made each lecture very interactive and easy to understand. If you go to class he explains every assignment in detail to ensure that you will do well. There are two tests, midterm and final. They are both online and open note. Such an easy class if you just show up.

Honestly, I don't know why people have such a hard time in the reviews on here but it's an easy course I had him in my first semester as a freshman. The homework and midterm and finals were super easy and he only needed you to write a 1-page paper. It was all multiple choices from what I recalled. Overall it's super basic stuff anyone should pass.

He's a cool guy and the class isn't too difficult. Attendance isn't mandatory and all the powerpoints are posted. All the work was given online but you should go to class to get a good understanding of the material.

Professor Tsitsos is very laid back and funny. Chart assignments were simple and quick and the papers were straightforward. Attendance is not required and every powerpoint is uploaded to blackboard. I would recommend taking him!

I actually loved professor Tsitos. I enjoyed his lectures and insights a lot, and I thought he was super funny. The class was intellectually stimulating, and often consisted of group conversations. If you take SOCI326 you will have three main grades; midterm, paper, final, as well as 3 reading response assignments for homeowork. Not work heavy.

Professor Tsitsos is a pretty cool guy. Loved listening to his lectures in class, and made sociology an interesting topic to learn about. He graded by "chart assignments" which there'll be 6 of. Plus two exams, one midterm and one final. Just beware that these assignments are graded heavily by a total of 1000 points.

Truly a great guy. Does not care if you show up, just get the work done. Not a hard class if you pay attention. Sometimes goes on tangents but I found them funny. Clearly cares about the topic. Give extra credit chances. Textbook is free.
