This guy knows his stuff, the class is hard as hell yes but it's tax for god's sake, expect alot of work and time in this class however he is by far the smartest professor at this university and literally knows EVERYTHING about the Tax Codes/Regs as well as general knowledge about pretty much anything business related. Beware the class is HARD!!!!!

This teacher is by far, the most intelligent and efficient teacher at this Biz school. However, because he knows so much and he is extremely organized, he has VERY high expectations of his followers.BEWARE: there are only 3tests in this class including the final. His final exam is a painful comprehensive that is worth 40% of your total grade.Ouch!

Gr prof in terms of teaching. Hard as Hell when it comes to Exams. He's a CPA and expects more from his students. 2 Test n a Final-cumulative. One Project which is a lot of work only counts 10% of your grade. Class avg was in 60s for 2 tests with project and 50s in final. He curves big time at end. I was 10% above avg and got a B.

This teacher was difficult and the tests were hard, but you end up learning a whole lot. He really knows his stuff and he expects you to as well. Also, has a sense of humor. If you want an easy semester, I don't recommend, but if you want to learn alot and be competent in the field you are studying, then definitely take him.

It's one of the hardest classes that I've taken, but you learn a lot from it if you try. This isn't one of the classes you can pass just by showing up. He expects a lot out of the students. But he does give you 30 extra points just for showing up to all the lab classes (2 points each). That's a free 6% on top of your final average.

This was not an easy class but it certainly is not as difficult as some say if you are willing to put a little effort into it, which is what the instructor expects, and should. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and there is no excuse not to pass this class, especially when you have a lab to ask all the questions you want.

He is a really nice professor, you can talk to him about anything and he will start a conversation. His exams are fair and if you study, you will do fine. However, with that being said...I haven't learnt a single thing in his class. It's almost the end of the semester too, so if you are an accounting major take another professor.

Great teacher, hard class for most people, but you will LEARN. He will help u as much as possible. Your Presentation at the end of the semester is worth 1/3rd of your grade. Study, study, study. If accounting is not your major get a study group and see the TA's as much as possible. I recemend the REDHEAD TA (SORRY). GOOD LUCK.

Managerial Accounting is a hard class no matter what, but the TA's and the professor himself are very helpful, if you have any problems they help you clear it up. If you go to the professor he really is a helpful person. He tries to make the lecture interesting, 10 times better than Acg2021 with Dunn anyday. His grading is fair.

Ok, this class is by mean no means easy. HOWEVER, if you study hard, do the quizzes, project, and attend the labs you just pass with nothing lower than a B. He has a VERY forgiving grading scale. Even if you fail the first exam, you can still bring you grade up if you do decent on the rest. Good luck! (project is not hard if you start early)

Prof. Urquhart is funny (or at least he thinks he is!). His class is clear. Has dominion of material and experience in the real world. VERY IMPORTANT: don't miss one lecture! read the chapter! do your homework! this is the only way to pass this course!!! if you don't do this, you're screwed!

He's clear n organized in his presentation. it's just alot of material. you need to go to class, attend lab, do the homework if u really want to learn the material. Have to know your stuff for the test. many chances to boost grade w/ online quizzes and projects. u can get an A if u want to - doable.

His lectures are straight from the power points. Lab attendance points are extra credit so don't miss if you can help it. Quizzes online are pretty easy and he gives you two chances to take them. Gave 4 mini projects and only took highest grade of 3. If you practice the problems at the end of each chapter you can get an A on tests.

I am taking him now for the 6 week course & I love him! Challenging course & he makes the grading school so that your pretty much an idiot if you dont pass. You will learn the subject. However, his tests are unnecessarily hard. Part of it is because the answers are too similar and there is a lot of the "this answer is better than that answer" kind of thing. A lot of them are arguable but you can't really do much about it. I was disappointed because my grade wasn't an expression of how much I learned.

Professor Urquhart is a nice guy. He uses powerpoint in his lectures but explains as he goes along. Still, I felt the lab was more helpful in learning the material. The exams were a little difficult, but since attendance in the lab counts as extra credit, I got an A in the class (even though I got B+'s on all of the tests).

Okay. I think some people are not being real with themselves. Professor Urquhart is a very good professor and pushes you. He is not giving it to you on a silver platter. He offers you many ways to back your grade up other than the exams. The mini projects help you to know your stuff. He is great.

First of all, he is not bad at teaching, however he is not a nice guy, he thinks he's a big deal, he got a bad attitude, if you got 72 "C-" and you're only 1 point away from passing & he even he knows you've been trying hard and did well on the homeworks, and attendance, he would still keep your grade the same. Bill is awesome! He really knows how to keep his lectures fun and informative! His lecture class isn't mandatory but you should go. He gets really animated and he puts extra credit questions on the tests about fun facts about him. The class itself is hard but hey, its accounting. I really recommend this teacher.

I liked Professor Urquhart and his style of teaching. This was his first semester teaching a lecture capture class and he did a great job. He clearly explained the content and even did HW problems to assist students. His sense of humor was dry, but it really kept things entertaining, especially when things got tough. All quizzes and exams are open book and online! Dont screw up anything like that. After all, you have google... Im taking him for ACG 2071 over the summer! Highly recommended!

This man should teach every single subject. Although the course was online, he built a very personal relationship through the video. All you have to do is listen, pay attention, and do all the homework. I had ZERO interest, but his captivating presentation style made me highly motivated. FYI I'm a foreigner which tells you how understandable he is.

The bottom line is if you actually pay attention you'll do fine. What he teaches is hard, but he makes it as simple as he possibly can.

i had him for accounting 1&2& would rather take it with him online then going to an actual class.u get to use notes,book,&internet for 3 exams&the final is proctored but he lets u bring a full page of notes!there is HW for each chapter but the HW is the EXACT problem from the book just different numbers&he gives u the answer to the book problem!

Best professor I've had in college so far. lectures are super clear and broken down, easy to understand. He makes class interesting and funny with his dorky sense of humor and photo shopped slides. He actually cares about his students learning the material. definitely recommend him

Took this class online, required an extensive amount of time between watching lectures, doing homework, quizzes and exam. Although this is not an easy topic to teach, hes been teaching this for so long its like he is in auto mode and its a second nature for him which can cause difficulty when trying to grasp a concept.

Perfect class if you don't like actually going to class. All assignments are online, except for the final exam which is proctored. The final is always the hardest, bombed it both courses. But still managed to pass ACG 2021, and waiting on my final grade for ACG 2071. Best professor to take for a difficult class, all assignments help your grade!

He teaches a hard subject in an easy to understand way. I took this class 10 years ago and got a C. This year I got an A. Students today feel like they are entitled to a good grade without hard work. If you do not attend classes, read the book, and do the homework you will not do well. However, if you take the class seriously you will do great!

I had him for ACG 2021 and 2071. This class is a lot of work, but if you watch his lectures and put in a lot of time to do the homework there is no way you can get lower than a B-. He is quite funny and gives maybe one or two extra credit questions on the exams that come from the videos. Best FAU professor I ever had honestly.

Bill is a good guy but the class is pretty tough. Definitely do the Learnsmart assignments and the homework assignments, they're easy points. The tests, on the other hand, are not easy points. The final is significantly curved so don't stress if you're on the brink of failing. Overall, I would say this class is doable.

Do not miss an assignment. Learnsmart is 10% Quizzes the same. 3 non-proctored exams. 36%ish proctored final. Accounting is hard, theres no way around it. There was a huge grade-changing curve at the end of my semester. Good guy, his jokes are so bad they become funny. I've NEVER seen or heard of so many TA's.

The material is dry, lectures are dry, and what else would you expect in accounting? Professor Urquhart is not a bad professor and gives all the options for tutoring and SI sessions, but this class is really tough. I read all chapters and did homework and practice homework for the first exam and still got a 50%. Big curve on final exam.

He always asks (to the people that attend the lectures) if they understand everything ok. "Any questions, anything at all?" you'll be hearing a lot of that. But overall I liked him.

There are two tests in this class, midterm and final. Read the textbook and take your own notes. Watch lectures because he gives lecture questions on the test about his life. There are Learnsmart and online homework. Practice quizzes are not required but do them because they HELP on the tests. Funny guy (sarcastic), tough guy, great teacher!

I took this course online and he was awesome! Engaging lectures, adds vacay pics and pets to pp slides as well as music to keep you engaged. Explains concepts clearly, great professor. I never met him as it was online but he was so that great that I didn't even need to! Take him!

This is one of the best professors I ever known. He is very passionate about teaching and does it extremely well with humor. He always finds time to make the students feel at ease. He is very human, always replies to emails when we write to him for questions.

Professor Urquhart is very knowledgeable. He goes over each Chapter each week and spends time going over the homework with us to help us understand. Accounting is a very intense subject with so much information involved that if you actually watch every lecture, do the learnsmarts, and practice quizzes and not be lazy... YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IT.

Prof Urquhart is a great teacher. If you are looking for a professor to coddle you, he is not the one. He is wicked smart, has a great, albeit dry, sense of humor and really enjoys what he is doing. One of the biggest things I appreciated about him was he did not tolerate student BS. Suggestion: read, know, live the syllabus.

Accounting is not my cup of tea, but as a business major, I had to take both ACG2021 and ACG2071. I took both with Professor Urquhart, and enjoyed both as much as I could possibly enjoy accounting. He adds personal anecdotes into the lectures to make them more interesting, and it really helps. Best lecture is about uncollected debts!

His tests are tough but not impossible. Do not buy a cheat sheet for the final, he curves the final no matter what he says and overall if you do the work, you can get an A.

I recommend printing the power point before class and bringing it to class and follow along and you should end up with an A, I barely used the book. Accounting 2 is easier than 1 with him. He's a great teacher, and a cool guy. Although he said he was curving the class, but apparently only curved the kids who needed the boost to pass. I would've like to see my B+ go to an A- but that's not the case

Prof. Urquhart is very straightforward. Complete all your assignments on time and they will help you practice more. Just do your work, study, and you'll do just fine. Exams are exactly what is reviewed and what is on the quiz. With that being said. If you don't work for an A or B you won't get one.

I previously failed accounting 2 with another professor, so I was really nervous to take it again... but let me tell you urquhart made it so easy!! Just make sure you watch his lectures and take notes. For every exam he lets you use notes and the textbook. I ended up with a B in the class which is amazing for me since I had failed it before him.

Hes experienced in the accounting field and knows how to talk to the students. Good teacher, he has corny jokes on his slides, but they grow onnyou after a while. You must watch the lectures and study to have a shot at getting an A. My only complaint is that he has some excel homework questions towards the end of the course that are God awful.

Accounting is naturally a very challenging subject, but Professor Urquhart definitely helps make it bearable. His grading is very rigid (no extra credit), but he makes sure to equip you with all the tools necessary to perform well in the class on your own.
