AWESOME teacher!!! He explains concepts thoroughly, answers emails quickly, and even helped me out on some difficult problems through email on the weekend. He goes above and beyond and makes class fun! He is silly and cute and I'm really enjoying college algebra even though it's a 6 week summer class and very intense.

He is a great teacher. He taught completely from his own notes and did not require us to buy a book, which turned out to be okay. Anyone who can teach Algebra to students books is worth your time. I got an A and haven't done Algebra in 9 years.

Algebra is not a favorite subject of mine, but I needed the class to graduate. I am so glad that I took Mr. Veczko because he made it much more easier. Don't get me wrong--the material is not easy if you don't study or do the homework. Don't expect to just fly through the course without putting effort in. I ended the course with an "A" average.

His tests are harder then the way he teaches the material. Doing the homework on math xl and in class is not the same, so you have to learn two different ways of getting the answers. He does give extra credit, trust me you will need it!

Loved the way he teaches.Hes very funny.The textbook is not required for this class, but the mathXL is.The "homework"or practice on math xl is done differently than how he teaches.The quizzes are almost identical to the online practice problems.So save the scrap paper for the quiz.His in-class tests are the hardest part of the class.

I do not like anything about math but it is a requirement to graduate. I took College Algebra with this professor after seeing his reviews here and ended up with an "A". I took his class again for Elementary Statistics and, although it was a little more difficult, I passed with a "B" average. Don't expect to pass without doing the work!

One of SJR State's best teachers! He is extremely thorough and is always open to help either in person, or through email. The tests are fairly easy, if you know how to work your calculator and make 3x5 Notecard (which he allows). If you come to class, do the homework, and ace the tests then you will have no problem passing this class. Trust me!

I am horrible at math and did struggle while taking this class but that was my fault. He was helpful when I asked questions. I wasn't really sure that his methods were helpful at the time but now taking MAC1033 I can tell that I did retain alot of what he taught and actually understood it! He was funny and helpful.

Professor Veczko is awesome. He has a great personality and approach to a subject not many ppl grasp too easily. He really helps students outside of class. I'm not big on math, but he made stats. intersting for me. Oh, and you never use the book.

He is just an overall great person, with a sense of humor. His class is really easy as long as you do the MathXL homework. You do have to use your brain a little on the homework because it is a little harder than class examples

Great instructor. Very animated and keeps humor in the lectures. (You will know everything that is happening on American Idol!) He explains things very well and in different ways. Very little mandatory homework, but he provides some really great study guides for each chapter. I HIGHLY recommend this instructor for any math related class.

Tests are 90% of grade. Looked easy in class and on HW but I bombed the tests and failed. If you're not good at test you may have trouble. Class if fun, but fun doesn't pass tests!

Professor Veczko did a great job of breaking down a very complex subject. He had notes that we downloaded from BB and took to class. This was nice because we could focus on his explanations not copying the info correctly. 90%=6 tests, 1 drop test. 10%=Homework Mathxl unlimited attempts. He really cares that you understand. Great Professor!

I loved this class! Veczko is an amazing teacher, and goes out of his way to help if you need it. He provides notes and explains everything in a way that is clearly understood. As long as you pay attention and study your notes, you're sure to pass his class with flying colors. I would take him again any day!

Cute and fun! Although his class can be interesting, his test can be very challenging. I took him for Pre-Calc and our grade consisted of 7 test... meaning you have to do well on all of them.

Excellent professor for those who are good at math. Classes were very entertaining, but moved too fast for me. Tests are 90% of your grade, homework is 10%. If you struggle with math choose a professor that has a grading system a little more forgiving.

I LOVE Mr. Veczko! Not only does he love what he does, but he also goes out of his way to make sure we understand everything he is saying. He is a talented educator, and is so smart. I have had him for 4 math classes and passed all with A's and B's. The only negative thing I would say is that his tests are challenging and you have to really study.

Excellent Teacher

Mr. Veczko is one of the best professors I have ever had. I took him for PreCal, Calc 1 & 2. The material is hard but he is very clear, goes slow, explains every step and tries to make it as interesting and fun as possible. The class grade is only the average of the tests and final, homework problems are suggested for practice but not required.

I hated math, but after taking this class with Professor Veczko I have started to enjoy it. He is really helpful and makes sure you understand everything he talks about. As long as you study and practice you should be able to pass his class.

This guy is great!! It was about time, after years, that I had a good professor! Very gifted at teaching, prepares his students well. Questions are easier on the exam than they are in practice, just how it should be. My other professors could learn a thing or two from him! Don't ever miss class, and practice for the exams, and you will do well!

Would not recommend STA 2023 online unless you are good at self teaching. Math XL software is not very good. MidtermFinal were 50% and were identical to the reviews --- very easy. Veczko is amazing, very nice, and very helpful. I would recommend taking any class with him.

All throughout high school I did terrible in math and never understood it. Veckzo was the first teacher I've had that actually explained things step by step in detail. He has a great sense of humor and makes math just about as fun as it can be. The tests are hard but he gives you a study guide for the final, Day 1. For sure would take him again.

He's not a professor who would put you to sleep. Homework is done on MathXL and if you need tutoring, like I did, it's really easy to finish and get 100% for all your homework. I'm awful at math so the tests were never easy enough to get an A, but B's were possible. Protip: Do the work on your final exam review packet, it really helped me out.

Prof. Veczko is awesome! Does his best to help you succeed. Assigns online hw -- avg of 10 questions per assignment, and half of the finals grade comes just from tests. He really breaks it down step by step, and the 10 question tests come wit average level difficulty. He just wants you to understand the material. WOULD take again!

Great teaching skills. If you are new to algebra, don't skip. Funny in class with clear lectures. Fill-in the blank notes. Gave review packet before each test. Gave a a little bit of extra credit at the end in the final. Start your homework early. Not as easy as Flanagan but you will never fall asleep. Ask questions, he is a nice guy

5 tests, a final, pop quizzes, and online homework. He is very nice and helpful. Tests are straightforward but require a good amount of studying. Second half of the course is hard if you've never taken trigonometry... but it is manageable. Would take again any day.

Professor Veczko is the easiest, clearest, and funniest math professor you will ever have. I, personally, am terrible at math. The only way I passed College Algebra was through Professor Veczko's clarity and helpfulness. He constantly ensures that everyone understands, and is more than willing to help if someone does not.

I am terrible at math and his teaching is wonderful. He is easy to talk to and ask questions. Attendance is not mandatory but needed to pass and do homework. He is not a boring math teacher and he tries to make it fun and informative. I plan to take him for every math I need from here on out. Finding a teacher I understand is priceless!

*Dual enrollment* Veczko is awesome. I wish he could teach my math classes forever! I am not amazing at math, but he makes things easy to understand and is ALWAYS there for help. Hes also funny and I truly looked forward to calculus every morning, even though it was so early.

I took Stats online with him. He did a great job of outlining how we were going to be graded, he included himself in the discussions, he helped and responded quickly when needed, and updated our class grade frequently. My midterm and final were in class, but he greatly prepared us ahead of time and made them a breeze. Thanks Mr. Veczko.

I LOVE PROF VECZKO!!! I was terrible at math all throughout high school and thought college would be no different until I stepped into his classroom. He truly makes an effort to help you understand. He is hands down the best teacher I've ever had. In fact, I've taken Int Alg, College Alg, and now Stats with him. Would recommend him to anybody!

Professor Veczko is great. He is a very fair teacher. Gives you guided notes, review packets for tests, and generally lets you know the types of problems you can expect to see on exams. He often has review sessions prior to exams and is always willing to help during his office hours. Overall he is one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I have taken him for Calc 2 and 3. No online homework in either class. He is a great teacher and breaks down difficult material so you can understand. Gives lots of partial credit and willing to give you any help you need. Best math teacher I have ever had and if you have the option take his class. He wants you to succeed.

Veczko is great. If you don't succeed in his class it is because you didn't work for it. Veczko explains concepts clearly. He is very fair by letting you know what to expect on exams. He is always ready to help in office hours. He is polite, professional, and fun. Your grade is determined by 5 tests and a final.

Having a teacher that loves his subject is great. I am not the best at math, but I received a high B. He allows test corrections for partial credit & is willing to help you during office hours. I took his advice & utilized the Core 34 workshop before the final & got a 92%. Try and you'll succeed. Also - do MyMathLab HW. It's basically a free 100%.

Prof. Veczko is one of the best math teachers I've had in my whole life. He truly makes sure that you understand the material and he is more than willing to help. He cares about his students and really connects with them. He gives extra credit quizzes every now and then that go toward the test. Always excited to go to class.

I recommend him if you are like me and do not do well with math. I took him for Intermediate Algebra and he made math seem so easy to me. I had the pleasure of having him in MAC1105. 10/10 definitely would take again if I could. It is a lot of information so make sure you are there for every class!

I took Elementary Statistics with this professor for summer B term Online, and this was the most engaging, reliable professor i have ever had. Any trouble you had with anything at all she would email back super quick. The only exams were the midterm and final which you could use open notes, etc on. Quizzes were the exact same as homework. AWESOME

You are given all of the tools to succeed. Instructions are clear and the professor is organized. Notes were clear enough for me to understand without additional help, there are lecture videos also if you need additional clarification. I would take again.

This class I took was a hybrid class. Professors videos were very easy to understand, and made sure to address any issues we may have had when we did meet weekly. I would definitely take another class with the professor!

Veczko was by far my favorite math teacher. He gives you guided notes and goes through them during class. He uses real life examples and silly things to help you remember important points. He is full of energy and is always willing to help. The tests are what your grade depends on but he tells you what will be on them and will help you study.

Loved his teaching style, this was an experimental hybrid class and I really think they should have more classes like this alike, including a college algebra one which is why I was taking this class to prepare me from taking this class. He has lesson videos he personally recorded himself, we review before quizzes which helps. Great professor!

I love this professor, he explains math very clearly and you can easily understand. He teaches you useful methods, he has personalized videos for his online and hybrid, reviews before quizzes, which is a major help. He also gives you partial points on each problem on quizzes which also helps, quizzes are short and sweet, drops the 2 worse grades.

Great professor, all lectures are off guided notes. Textbook is only for homework, which is not graded. If you follow the guided notes and study, the class isn't too hard. Profesor Veckzo is always happy to help and usually planned for a study day to help everyone with the test. Expect at least one quiz a week, and 4 - 5.

I took Professor Veczko for both College Algebra(1/2 in class last 1/2 online due to the Pandemic) and Statics. His guided notes are wonderful and his lecture videos are the best. Be sure to work your test reviews, as they were very similar to each test. Professor Veczko always responded to emails timely, and always willing to help. Great Class!

I disagree with the negative reviews and I'm glad I gave this professor a chance. This guy's energy and ability to teach is amazing. He provides personal lecture videos which offer useful methods. I feel like he prepares you for everything on the test unlike some math teachers. He was helpful and responded promptly. I plan on taking him again.

He's a great teacher, and if you have trouble in math I think you can benefit from taking his class. He goes through the problems slowly and there's usually a class dedicated to reviewing the material before each test. I don't have much trouble in math, but I really like how he teaches.

I was worried about taking an online 7 week stat course, but his prerecorded lectures were detailed but not too complicated, and he explained everything perfectly. He is very kind and cares about students. Just give it your best effort and do your work and you'll do just fine!!!! 11/10 would recommend him!

Summer A & online. Professor Veczko is very responsive & thorough. He provides video lectures for the modules with the outlined concepts & problems to practice alongside. All is broken down to grasp easily. He adds humor throughout his lectures to keep your attention. If you apply yourself, really tune in & study for the tests, you should do well.

Professor Veczko is an extremely nice and easy-to-understand teacher. That being said, in this class you MUST do well on the tests or else you won't pass, if you're a bad test taker this isn't the class for you. His lectures are extremely helpful though, and he'll walk you through how to do all the problems. The material isn't that hard though.

Professor Veczko is AMAZING!!! His lectures are so helpful and while his tests make up 99% of the class, he prepares you for them completely. He is by far the best Professor at SJR State and is so understanding.

This course was a repeat of Algebra 2 Honors from high school. The course was set up clearly and you could complete the homework at your own pace, but tests were locked until a certain date. The one slight negative was that most of your grade was based off of 2 tests, each with less than 15 questions, so if you make dumb mistakes, it could be bad.

He does your job for you. Great organization skills. Makes calculus fun and easy. Highly recommended!

I am terrible at all things math but Prof V is extremely organized in how he runs his classes. I took Liberal Arts online (term A) and it was broken up in units with printed packets that correspond with his private youTube tutorials. He explains everything in detail and the packets are helpful for the homeworks/test. He helped me tremendously!

Professor Veczko provided amazing video based lectures along with fill-in-the-blank notes. The lectures were engaging and I felt as though I was able to understand the material after the multiple examples given. The study guides allowed for the exams to feel somewhat easy, especially for someone like me who is terrible at statistics.

Professor Veczko is an amazing professor and lecturer. He tells engaging examples to illustrate the concepts in calculus. However, I felt kind of distant. I did not feel like I could reach out to him. It was like there was no support. So I had to work extra to learn the class. I also don't like the fact that your grade is based solely on exams.

This guy is incredible. I chose MGF 1106 and MGF 1107 since I needed them for my AA. His teaching is fantastic, and I love his usage of humor in his lessons. He explains stuff very clearly, and I wish I could take him for elementary statistics this upcoming semester. If you are going to take any math course, this is the professor to take.

Veczko is a great teacher! Really friendly, very expressive, and enjoys teaching. He's not afraid to tell it as it is, and puts a lot of the work into simple-to-understand methods. I struggle heavily with math and I still managed to pass with a B.

Prof. Veczko gave guided notes which were very easy to keep up with. He explained everything very well. He also provided good study guides for each test which were very effective in preparing. Professor Veczko's instruction couldn't be any clearer. He posts his lectures online to re-watch and provided fill-in-the-blank notes. Utilize these tools to do math lab homework and you'll learn the material. His lectures are relatable. He is available and responds quickly to email. I highly recommend this professor.

I have always struggled in math and still manage to get a good grade. Gave me credit for the majority of information that I did get right instead of just what I got wrong. I do wish he taught more classes through the school year, it seems that I can only find his class available during the summer.

Great professor! Easy going professor, as long as your doing the work and participating you will have a good grade. Professor Veczko is very understanding as well, as long as you are making all the effort to pass you will be fine.

Drops lowest test score but your grade is only based on tests. If you do your homework and ask questions when needed it will be an easy A.

Although this is considered to be the hardest calculus class, Veczko made it manageable with his enjoyable lectures and care for the students. Drops lowest test and gave extra help with harder topics.

Overall, he was very helpful and kind to me. Cons: Tests were worth 75% of the grade, if you did badly on a test it didn't matter how well you did on the homework because your grade would tank no matter what. Pros: He's very helpful if you have issues and even helped me get my grade from failing to a passing one.

He gives a very awesome take to an online course - his guided notes are SO important and SO helpful. I don't think I would have passed the class without them. My advice to anyone taking this course--PRINT the notes & WATCH the videos. Follow along & you will pass! BTW, he does require lockdown browser, but allows a notecard for the test. Good luck!

I HATE MATH. Math hates me. Professor Veczko does online math in such a way that allows even someone like me to earn a passing grade in math. His lectures are spot-on and everything you need to apply it to your homework and then your test. You do have to do use Lockdown Browser which is annoying and awkward, he is well worth the awkwardness.

Very silly and kind prof. Bent over backwards to help every1 succeed.1 problem quiz every other day ish, but dropped many at the end. Very generous curve/grading in general. con: tests were too long, but in the two such cases where many didn't finish he adjusted the grading. Great notes/reviews. I took online A term and it was still really easy. Provided printable note packets for each unit and each lesson had its own in depth video of him doing the problems. No textbook but u have to pay for mymathlab. There was no final, just 5 units containing 4 chapters, overall really easy.

Professor Veczko Is amazing. The subject is very tough however if you follow along on the guided notes, he makes it easy to learn. He also truly showed me his care for my success when he willingly took the time to go through my exam to bump my grade from a B to an A!
