this class was easy... very very very easy.

He basically taught a college level English course with a 7th Grade teaching plan

If you are not very good at writing correct english then you will mercifully get a C or a C-, if you write decent you'll get a B. If you are a published author and have won the pulitzer and Nobel prizes for literature then you might get an A-. Ridiculously hard grader for a school whose student body hardly speaks english.

Professor Wright is everying you think a writer should be... intense, lofty, cerebral, moody, freakishly expectant of perfection and deranged... I loved his class!

He is terribly dmanding, has a short fuse, and will definitely give you a run for you money. Unless you're a future writer, don't bother. He is NOT an easy A kind of guy.

he is one of the best professors you will every have. all of these other comments about him are probably made against him cuz they did not wanna do nothing in class. he is sooooo helpful. he can be lenient. and he is extremely fun. take him. but do ur work

he is what u call great. if u are an english major take him. if you are not an englidh major, take him. either way take him. you will learn so much. he is very straight forward. he may appear to be rude at times but he justs demands respect. your writing will improve 150x's over if you finish his class.

I loved this professor. He's opinionated, hard-to-please, and a slave driver. He was everything I wanted in a professor. He pushed me so hard in the class, but I walked out a better writer. Maybe other students are more sensistive then I am. In the real world, editors are meaner them him.

Interesting professor. Has a good personality. Didn't like the class much, but that's because I'm not a huge literature fan. But for one who is not a literature fan, this professor kept me interested in it.

He is a frustrated thespian, tries to be funny but most of time but his jokes fall flat. Does a lot of impersonations mostly of Pacino. If you can get past this, the class is very interesting with lots of good stories and the prof does explain the poems in detail very well. Must be a good note writer as the material he covers are in his exams.

he is a great teacher... but his class his hard... i took him for playwriting.... he can be a little harsh and doesnt baby you around.. i love his personality... prepare to work hard for this class...

This class was extremely intimidating, in my honest opinion. I dreaded every time I had to come to his class. Luckily, I passed with a good grade...but he was rude and his grading policy was horrible. I liked his sarcasm though...I'll give him that much. But other than that, I suggest you guys to not take his class if you can't handle the pressure.

He is a good professor but he does over react and he is sometimes rude. Do your work and don't be shy to talk in class and you be fine.

well...his...funny, yea thats the word. he gives interesting things to read like pedophelia play, but his is a hard grader- if u are gay or just by miracle he likes u are save- but his class is good the test are not hard, just read the thing that he gives u.

A very good professor. I'm a writer and I had taken some time away from it, but took his class last fall, and it helped inspire me. I even started a play in his class that I have since fashioned into a full length play, partly because of the positive criticism I received from him. Go to class, participate, and do the work.

Very good professor. Very clear in his directions do exactly what he asks no more no less! Dont be rude- respect is a very big deal for him, it is for any professor but he doesnt play. Other than that he is a very good teacher which is what is important!

A true educator. You will have to write, it IS an English class. Very willing to help and he himself is a brilliant writer. He is never dull. Have your dictionary, have a stapler and be on time and you will be educated. ps he will call on you to read aloud, the more you cower away the more prone he is to call on you.

This professor really cares about his students. He may come off strong at first but he is there to help you. After the first week you'll warm up to him and enjoy his class. He is very well educated so I recommend taking him.

At first I didnt like him at all, but as time passed he seems as nice and educated person. He truly cares about his students, really funny at times. Surprisingly, I enjoyed coming to class. Class discussions are very fun;0)...Be prepare to write a lot. Passed with B+. Respect is important for him so show him some respects and he will do the same.

Playwriting. He is tough, but amazing. He may change your life. He gets to your best work and pulls it out of you. Do it!

professor Wright is one of the most honest professor I have come across since I've started attending bmcc. He is hard worker and an excellent teacher. He demands the best from his students and bring out your best writer in you. Thank you professor Wright for teaching me, nothing good comes easy in this life.

I have a huge crush on professor Wright's personality. He is funny and sincere. He made the work very interesting and I actually looked froward to coming to class which I can't say for my other classes. He is a very bright man and has a very wide ranged knowledge base. Take him ! You won't regret it if you're not an insecure person

I didn't think I'd ever find myself rating a professor on this website, but I decided to take some time out and write some good things about this professor. He definitely made me look forward to go to class, and I'm the type of person who finds English quite boring. He kept me awake and interested. Much respect. : )

Professor Wright is one of the best professors I have had in my semesters. If you want to be treated like an adult and not a high school child, choose him. He is very blunt so be prepared to hear the truth. He will critique even the best of the best,so if you're willing to learn and better your writing skills, take him. Took him for two semesters

Professor Wright is a great teacher! If you want to learn and be inspired take his class! I loved the material he selected. He's real and takes his work seriously. Show up ready to work and he'll show up for you! Definitely my favorite class!

I don't give out compliments easily, but Professor Wright made me a better writer and he cared about us. Where I come from, you have to earn your grade and you have to earn it in his class. I tell people about him all the time. I am now at CUNY Graduate School pursuing my BA in Urban Studies. Take him if you want to be able to write intellectuall

William Wright is a very good professor! He encourages participation in class and rewards you for doing so. He is very invested in his craft so if an English or Literature Major take him.

If you participate and show interest in the class he will love you !! His lectures are clear. His tests are challenging but if you do all the other work you will pass the class.

One of the best Professors, if not the best Professor I have had the pleasure of having thus far in my academic career. He genuinely cares about his students grades. Read when he tells you to read, don't fall behind. read ahead. Quotes to back up your answers are your best friend for a good grade. If you fail it's because you don't care enough.

this class is bout doing your work! your assignments, even if your tests grades arent the highest as long as you do your assignments you should pass. It was an interesting class i enjoyed it.

HE'S SUPER GREAT!! yea sometimes he can be a bit confusing, but you can use that against him!! he was always so confusing, but our class always said that he never said certain things (but he has haha) but forreal, he's a great professor, he lets you take a quiz even if your like 20 mins late and only have 10 mins left. but try to show up to class.

I had him this spring, and I have found him to be straightforward. All you need to do is not doze off or be on your gadgets, and ask questions if puzzled. He also conducts all assessments open-sourced, and makes halirous exaggerations at one time or another. Suggest highly!
