Professor Wynne is awesome! I would take him again in the future if I had the chance.
Know his stuff!
He's a great guy, and he's very understanding of life!
Gives very good feedback and makes it easy to contact outside of class.
Overall was a pretty great teacher, there was some reading from a text book, but he provided an ebook pdf. He has a lot of experience out in the real world in marketing.
Great professor, genuinely cares about the success of his students.
This class is awesome! It offers hands-on marketing & advertising experience through the advertising campaign for the NSAC competition. It is also an excellent opportunity to collaborate with others. Definitely, recommend taking it with Bill(Prof. Wynne)!
Bill is an amazing professor! Lots of experience from this class
Bill is a great professor who cares about his students and provides great real-world knowledge. Learned a lot from this prof and class!
Bill is awesome and a very nice guy. Although his feedback can feel like a lot at the time, listen to it!
Bill is very encouraging and pushes students to improve while giving constructive feedback and providing relevant, real-world insights into the content.
Bill, is awesome! He knows his stuff. This class will give you an idea of what it's like to work in an ad agency. Overall, recommend students to take this class and compete in the NSAC.
Bill is a fantastic guy that really cares about the well-being of his students
Friendly and really Knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
NSAC through class. Personable, caring, knowledgeable, invested.
Brings real world experience to the class. Actually took time to build an interesting and interactive online class.
Very clear concepts, not very many points. Pay attention to grading criteria and participate in discussions and you'll get an A
Took this class over the summer, fast paced. Very few assignments that go towards grade so try hard on all of them for an A.
Great professor. If you're a marketing major he is a very valuable professor to have.
He has been one of the best professors I have ever taken at my time at Boise State. He cares about all his students and wants you to pass. Defiantly take him!!!!
Bill takes his time with all his students and wants to ,make sure you understand the material. He is super funny and makes class so much fun to be apart of. You need to take him, he has a lot of knowledge of all types of things!
Bill is a funny guy. If you hate working in teams don't take it. A one-page team memo is due weekly. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. I think he does legitimately try to not make the lectures boring. Tests are pretty easy (open book/web).
The course was designed around weekly group assignments. Bill is awesome to talk to and has great eamples with his lectures. He kept track of attendance towards the end of the semester and took away participation points for missed days. The midterm was a little tricky even though it was open note, book. I would definitely take his class again.
Great support of his students. Makes the class a real learning experience
He's one of the best professors I've had at BSU! He's hilarious and a great instructor.
If you get the chance take William(Bill) for any marketing class. Im sure every class he teaches would be just as fun as MKT 307. Bill is easy going and loves to involve his students. Would take him again if I could!
Love this class!!
Weekly group work. Focuses on concepts rather than terminology.
Two classes a week. The first class of the week is going over the lecture and the second class is a case study in which you work with a group. He give you 30 minutes before each class to work on your case study; which is plenty of time. Great teacher, funny guy and very knowledgeable.
If you want a class with consistency, a professor that listens and actually gives good feedback, and a good grade. Take this class. It's not hard! But expect to talk in front of the class, beware of the magic envelope (the envelope in which he chooses who will present the chapter to the class for the week). But honestly, this class was awesome.
Great professor, caring guy who loves his job. Class is easy as long as you go to class and have a good group to work through weekly group projects. Honestly I personally didn't learn much in this class but it is marketing, a lot of it was common sense. Take Mr Wynne he is an awesome guy with a vast knowledge in marketing
Minimal homework, lots of group work. Assignments are challenging but not lengthy. No homework over weekends!
Bill is such an awesome professor, his assignments relate directly to the lecture that week. You are using the concepts, instead of just terminology for your weekly group work. Also he has an awesome Marketing background and it shows, you get to hear a lot of real world experiences that he went through, which also tie into assignments.
Bill is by far one of the best prof. I've had at BSU hands down. Takes the material you learn in lecture & has you apply it in case studies- really helps understand it. Straight forward, funny guy. Im also in his MKTG 315, & I will be taking him again for MKTG 321. I'll give him a hot pepper bc he really wants one lol but only bc of that!
Bill is fantastic. He really does care about his class and I think more than anything he understands the classroom dynamic more than any other teacher I've had. Would recommend for any business/marketing majors. Watch out for the magic envelope!
Undoubtedly one of the coolest dudes I have ever had for a professor. The whole class is basically made up of group hw assignments which isnt ideal but he makes up for it. Super nice and has real experience in the field of marketing. Take him as a professor you wont regret it.
Bill truly cares about not only how well you do in his class but personally how well you are doing. Participation in your group work MATTERS. If you don't participate in your group it will bite you later in the semester when peer evals weigh in on your grade. Go to his office hours for anything, he is very personable and just wants to help you out.
Lectures could be boring but he tried his best to not make it boring
Chill bill. Super nice guy. Great class. Come to class, do the weekly group work, you'll be fine.
Great educator. Couple key things. First, he won't assign an insane amount of hw and there are only two tests. The tests are open book, open internet (warning: you can google the answers and you won't find it. The man knows how to design a test question.) You'll have one or two pages to type weekly as a team. super nice and makes it fun.
He cares a lot about his students and will make lectures valuable and interesting. He gives you weekly assignments that can help boost your grade, and the two exams are open note and open web, so he gives you the tools you need to be successful. He expects participation and coming prepared to class, but if you try hard you will enjoy the course!
Bill Wynne is the best professor I've had at Boise State. There isn't one professor at BSU that will give you more valuable real world professional experiences than he will. He does a great job of tailoring his experience to the course concepts. His professional work experience is off the charts and expects the best from his students. Bill rocks!
Very knowledgeable with real-life experience. Great personality, cracks a few jokes here and there to help make the class fun and interesting. He takes attendance and pays attention to those that participate in class discussions. Allows notes for exams. Would take him again.
Great professor! Lectures are beneficial and apply to the outside sales world.
Pay attention in lecture and keep up on course material, there is a lot of it but it isn't hard to learn if you follow along in class. There are 4 group assignments, cross your fingers you get a good group because your group work grade matters a lot.
Professor Wynne's real life, "in the trenches" experience gives an added value to his teaching. His teaching style is somewhat light hearted, but his lectures are packed with wisdom. This class was very educating.
Great teacher to take at BSU! Compared to many professors in COBE, Bill is way better and I highly recommend him. Attendance somewhat mandatory, so if you don't miss class you'll do fine!
Bill was one of my favorite professors last semester. He has so much life experience, and it really showed in his lectures. He was always available and willing to meet outside of class to help you out in any way he could. Do the assignments and you'll pass. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
quick responder, don't be afraid to ask for help because he usually is very good at answering questions, slightly tough grader, but if you follow feedback from him you will see improvements in your grade. If you have discussion board posts, POST EARLY
Bill is an awesome professor, I have enjoyed every class I have taken with him however you should be wary of the amount/difficulty of assignments in this class. While they are very much doable they can be infuriating especially when Bill's feedback is a little lacking. Overall, a very doable class and Bill is a peach.
Bill is a GREAT teacher! Make sure that you buy the book because his tests are open book and open note. Attendance is a big part of your grade, but if you tell him you won't be their you will only get half a point deducted. WOULD RECOMMEND.
Wynn is super entertaining and the class goes by fast. This is a very broad course with a ton of different topics on marketing, so there is a lot of terminology to remember. The tests are difficult if you aren't taking notes in class and reading the material. The tests are open note and open book, but because of how broad the topics are its tough.
Bill is dope!!! highly recommend
The majority of the class is spent on the simulation. You get graded on few things, so participating in class discussion will help you out in participation points. He only has 2 exams, so TAKE GOOD NOTES and STUDY because time flies when you don't know what they're talking about and you spend your time flipping through your notes.
Bill is a great professor. He cares about teaching but makes his students work for a good grade. There are not a lot of assignments so everything we did in class was worth a lot of points. The two tests are worth a total of half your grade so reading the textbook is essential. He's a funny, cool guy who runs the class like an actual business.
He's great for marketing! the simulation group journal is hard but the tests are open book/note!!
Bill is a solid choice for this class. He talks about his past job with Ford and applies it to our lectures. There are weekly, 1 pg memos you have to turn in with your assigned group. They're not too difficult, but can be time consuming. Tests are open book & notes, but the questions can be tricky so you definitely have to study beforehand.
Really makes the class fun, and relates class content to real life situations he experienced in his career.
Read the chapter before you come to the class. He will randomly ask someones name from his "MAGIC ENVELOPE" to ask questions about chapter he is going to teach. Group project due every Wednesdays. We get to meet with group every time once a week. We have two exams open notes open book sometimes that you'll take it on your own computer during class.
Prof Wynne is a charismatic man, well respected in class, and gives you great insights on real life.
Lectures are interesting and he really wants you to do well in the class. While he may give you cryptic answers to questions he will help you with any material you may be struggling with. Overall, the class wasn't super tough and you don't really need the book for anything but the tests, they're open book open note. Favorite professor at BSU so far
Fun loveing guy makes the boring stuff interesting, jokes around alot but still gives great insight
I loved this class! I really hope to take this class with him again. I honestly learned a lot without even realizing it. He treats the students with true respect and it shows! I wish more of my professors were like him!
He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He would drop anything to help his students not to mention the class is always fun and engaging. He truly goes above and beyond to make the class experience worthwhile as well as help his students succeed in any way he can.
Bill has a lot of practical information and experience that he shares with the class. I would definitely recommend this class taught by Bill if you are at all interested in sales or how to build business relationships.
Great professor, come to class and you will pass, marketing is everything and everything is marketing
Very funny teacher, makes lectures exciting. Group projects are fun unlike any other class. Textbook reading is important, but can be used on tests. Assignments are engaging. I always take classes with Bill if available. Highly recommend.
Bill is the best professor I have had at Boise State. He cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. He keeps class interesting and gives students the opportunity to have real world experience.
I took this class during the 3 hr time slot so it says a lot that I sill enjoyed going to class and loved having Bill as a teacher. He's very interactive in his lectures and wants his students to do well. His tests can be a little hard but they're open book and as long as you pay attention in class you'll do fine!
Loved this professor. Lots of antidotal stories and things related to his personal experience. Lectures are really dry but very important for the tests which are a big part of your grade. This is an easy class to pass that will give you hands-on experience in selling; especially recommended for people who don't have much selling experience.
Great teacher! Super knowledgeable about the real world and the topics in which he teaches. Do the work and listen and you will be fine!
Bill was fun, but he was hard. Although you can use your book on the test they are still hard! Come prepared to have notes taken and listen to his stories! The 3hrs went by quickly! Would recommend him for Professional selling because he has so much experience!!
If you have the chance to take a class with Bill, do you won't regret it! He makes sure all the topics stick in your head while also making the class enjoyable. Each exam was open book and open note but you still need to know the material. 10/10 would recommend.
Bill was a fascinating teacher that had many stories to tell in class about his previous work experience. It was a fun class and I learned a great deal from it. The two tests are open book open note, however you still need to study for them as they are pretty tough. The simulations are also a great way to learn. I highly recommend him!
Very great teacher who realates everything back to the real world. Cites personal experince alot .
You will do mini simulations every week and one group mini simulation, but he makes it fun and competitive. He is a straight shooter and treats it like a real business so do not show up late for class you lose points. Read the syllabus because if you ask a question he will tell you that first before answering a question.
Professor was great! Just your regular intro class.. but he made it something else. This guy is a BOSS (Tons of experience) He keeps his word and as long as you hold up your end, you'll do great.
Bill is an great professor. I would definitely take more classes with him. I highly recommend professor Bill. He is available to to help when you need it for feedback etc. Yes you do have to read the book because the exams are based on the chapters. Exams open book open notes. Start taking good notes that will be available for exams.
Marketing 301- Two Exams that are fairly difficult but not worth a ton of points. Most of the grade comes from marketing simulations and then a journal. This is a big group project!
Bill is a great teacher who brings his past experiences into the class to assist his teaching style. he is very knowledgeable and wants to see his students succeed. tests can be a little tough since a lot of material is covered before them and its not always the funnest stuff. Bill makes his lectures enjoyable and has a lot to offer.
I enjoyed his class tremendously
Great professor overall. You should pay attention and participate, but he's very easy going and good at what he does. The simulations are easy, you just have to actually show up to class. There is never really homework which makes the class that much better. He also makes his night class interesting, so don't be worried if that's your only option.
Bill is my favorite professor in COBE. He cares about his students and is always willing to help. I have taken him four times and never regretted it. Things to prepare for this class: get to know what Write to the Top format is (super important), attendance and participation is counted for points, and get to know him, he's pretty cool & funny.
Material behind this class is common sense and is stretched out. However, his knowledge and experience in the industry is what makes this class interesting. I learned and laughed a lot. He is one of the best professors at BSU and you can tell he is passionate about the school and teaching. If you can't take a dry humor, this class isn't for you.
He quickly became my favorite professor so far at BSU. The class itself is pretty easy, there's only 2 tests and the simulation game. His knowledge and experience in marketing makes the class so much more interesting, and he's pretty funny!
This class not only helped me learn about marketing but also helped me grow as a person as I learned about myself and what I want in my future.
Bill was one of the best teachers I had at Boise State. He cares about his students and will go out of his way to help you. MKTG497 was a difficult class because it made you think outside the box and create a brand for yourself using a book that helps company brands. The conversion from company to personal was difficult but Bill will help you!
Bill is a great professor but you are going to have to work for your grade. He makes you do deep thinking and will push you to dig deeper. Is willing to meet outside class and will help you if you ask for it. If taking him get ready to put in the work inside and outside of class. If you are not going to do this look for another class
Really fun class, lots of activities and chances to participate. Not a lot of homework. Learned some real life skills.
Bill is by far my favorite professor I have had at Boise State in the COBE program. One of the only professors that genuinely cares about students in and outside of class and wants to set you up for success in your future.
Bill is an awesome teacher with tons of insight and experience in the marketing realm. 2 mini cases, 2 tests and 1 job shadow project are the bulk of the assignments for the class. Tests are open book and you often do exercises from the book in class so its worth getting. One of my favorite teachers at BSU.
Bill is kind and has a great sense of humor. His class is one project with three checkpoints- U Brand U. It challenges you to picture yourself as a brand on a local to global level. It was one of the most influential classes in my college experience.
Bill is the best!! This was my first teacher I've had in college where they made the class genuinely fun and interesting. He is a very intelligent man and has a lot of great stories to line up with his lectures. Tests are open book open note and he's very clear on what he wants.
Best professor ever! You have to do one project that requires you to follow a salesperson for a day. So, if you get started on it early it isn't bad! So funny and really cares about his students. Tests are open book open note!
Marketing is everything, and everything is marketing.
Bill is one of the best professors I've had. He tries to keep the class interesting and funny! The material/tests/projects are specific and to the point so it's pretty easy if you at least try. 100% would take him again.
Bill is a thoughtful teacher who is passionate about what he teaches. His professional selling course was interesting with good, real-life anecdotes from his professional career. He takes dry course content and makes it interesting. Great guy, take him for any possible class.
bill is the goat!!
Bill I s a really great professor. His tests are both open book open note. However if you go into them without studying you may fail because they are not straight forward. Other than that Bill is fantastic. Marketing is Everything.
Bill is an amazing professor. His lectures are very interesting and the tests are open book & open note. He makes class interesting! Highly recommend him for Marketing 321.
Super chill prof, would 10/10 recommend! Keeps class entertaining
One of the best classes I've taken at BSU. Class plot makes sense and prepares you for selling in the real world. Most useful class I've taken so far.
Bill is an awesome teacher and really wants the best for his students. He teaches very clearly and makes sure that he communicates what he wants to be done. He also expects students to read the syllabus and be aware of what is going on in the class.
Bill has been one of my favorite teachers at Boise State. His class is normal for a 300 level class with the workload but it isn't difficult at all. If you stay on top of reading and assignments, you will pass this class with ease.
Bill is very clear, there are no surprises when it comes to grading. Course has a good balance between exams / assignments. Not a lot of busy work, but make sure you turn in your best work for the mini-cases. No late work accepted.
Bill is a great teacher that makes you work for your grade! Don't be afraid to ask him for feedback- he wants you to because it shows you care and it will affect the grade you receive on projects! Overall, a great learning experience and you do a simulation project with a randomly assigned group that lasts the whole semester. No tests!
Bill is such a wonderful professor. He cares so much about his students and ensuring they succeed and are equipped with the necessary skills for the future. Bill is such a wonderful professor, and I absolutely adore him and the genuine care and authenticity he brings to every class.
Bill is excellent. He deeply cares about us and wants to see us jump out of the nest and soar. He is not afraid to grade harshly if you don't put in the work; he has very high expectations. He could be doing a lot of other things with his time making a lot more money, but he genuinely teaches because he cares about us students.
The grade is based off of one project and a ton of discussion boards. He grades very hard on the discussion boards and doesn't give much feedback. The course was copy and pasted from the fall semester so all of the dates for each week were all wrong. It wasn't hard but I would recommend taking someone else!
Bill is the most lovely professor I had at Boise State. He does make you work for your grade but cares so much about his students' success and will help you succeed in any way he can. He gives clear expectations and the work load is not "easy" but is reasonable and not excessive. I loved his class and would highly recommend him as a professor
Professor Wynne is amazing. I would highly recommend his class but like many of the previous comments have said, he makes you work for your grade! You will learn so much through his class if you are willing to put the work in and stay positive. He wants you to succeed and his efforts are evident. Stop by his office hours too! He's great to talk to.
Bill always makes it clear that his expectations are high, but if you put the work in you will learn a lot from him! He is quick to offer a witty comment and cares about his students immensely. Would absolutely take another class from him if I could, but I am fortunate to have him as a contact for the future!
Professor Wynne is hands down the best professor i have had at Boise State. He cares so much about his students success and all of his assignments in class WILL help you in your future. He is funny and knows what he is talking about. I have taken many classes with him, highly recommend
I've taken forgettable marketing classes, this wasn't one of them. Modern and insightful curriculum from somebody that has actually experienced the corporate world. Great class!
He is very knowledgeable about marketing, that's for sure. But the answers you give have to be on the nose, if it's a little off you'll be marked down significantly. Really try your hardest on the discussion board posts. If you get too many bad grades for those, you'll see it reflected in your final overall grade for sure
One of my favorite professors. You will definitely go outside of your comfort zone with some of the projects he gives you, but they really do help you grow. Its a fun class and Bill is a great dude who truly cares about you and your success! Great class.
Great Professor! He doesn't waste time in meetings and gives you the tools needed to succeed. This class has pushed me to utilize more critical thinking skills than any other class previously taken and I found myself putting forth more effort to succeed. I feel like it has adequately prepared me for future career scenarios.
Professor Wynne is a real gem. He is respected, inspirational and has a great sense of humor. Even though this was an online class I was able to connect with him. He goes above and beyond to stay in touch with students, give feedback and he is always there to help. He comes from a high corporate background and he has great knowledge .
Bill is a standout professor who possesses supreme passion for marketing. His dynamic enthusiasm greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the course. He encourages his students to think critically, challenging us with hard questions and guiding us when we draw blanks. He will definitely be remembered and has left his mark on the Boise State community.
I think Online is a great way to go for this class. Mostly group project, you can arrange with zoom meetings. Bill is very good at help his students.
Does not do a good job describing assignments or describing format standards for papers. Doesnt give required materials to learn how to do assignments. It was very difficult to learn any material in this class
He has been an absolute gem for every class Ive taken from him. It doesnt matter the course take it through Bill. I have enjoyed every course hes done. His class seems difficult at time and is hard at times. You really get the chance to learn from him and he wants to see you succeed not only in this class but in life. The sim is fun as well.
Professor Wynne is an excellent professor and one of the few who genuinely cares about his students and their success. You will need to put a lot of effort into his courses, but you will get a lot out of it. I would recommend signing up for his courses whenever given the opportunity.
By far my favorite professor. Straightforward with what he expects, fun atmosphere in class and always receptive to feedback. Also doesnt give busy work!
Bill is an amazing professor who really cares that his students would be set up for success. I had a difficult time with my group for this class and he was with me the whole time guiding me and encouraging me to do my best. I've had him in other classes as well and he's the best, though he may be difficult. He really wants his students to grow!
Bill is an amazing teacher. He can be a little tough on grading but he leaves great feedback and usually will help students out with their grades, if they make the effort. Absolutely love his classes!!
I have never had a worse teacher at Boise State (I am a senior). He puts in about 30 minutes a week to the class and expects you to put in 10 hours. Terrible assignments that do not teach you anything and an atrocious grader. He will not teach you a single thing but if you do anything slightly wrong he will give you a zero on the assignment.
Learned a lot in this class. One of the best classes I've taken at BSU. Care for the students success.
Bill is one of the kindest professors I've experienced at Boise State. The simulation you will do in a group requires a lot of hard work but it is fun and worth while in the end. There are 2 quizzes, but no exams and if you pay attention he gives you all the answers.
Take Bill for every class possible! This class involved creating your personal brand. Very exciting and sets you up for the real world. No final.
Professor Wynne doesn't knowledge dumb useless content. Instead, he provides you with tools that will benefit students in the long run. We need more professors like him!
Bill makes online classes easy for students to succeed. His coffee talks are great to learn how to apply the content that we're reading about, he doesn't make you purchase a textbook (provides open ed resources), and is very responsive if you reach out with questions. Best online class I've taken in awhile!
Great class on professional selling. Learned a lot of good stuff.
It's so important to know the syllabus and show up, he won't answer any questions that are in the syllabus. Super nice guy, understanding if you're actually trying. Doesn't accept late work so be wary of that.
He is hard on his student but he really cares about them. He is a very knowledgable professor and has lots of good stories to tell. He makes you work for your grade, but is there for your success so will do what he can to help you succeed.
Professor Wynne is tough but fair. If you show up in this class and have good participation you will do just fine. A small number of graded items so are all heavily weighted. He is tough in the beginning to weed out the people who are trying to skate by.
This class is fantastic and is somewhat a breath of fresh air away from conventional academic coursework. Bill is a fantastic character and genuinely cares about you and the coursework. Just remember that all who stay will be champions.
I highly recommend Bill if you want to truly understand the material in the course and learn life skills as well. Bill Wynne is a tough professor but he cares about your individual success. He expects a lot from you but gives resources and great tips to help you succeed. Overall one of my favorite professors, I highly recommend taking him.
He's a great professor! Always willing to help his students in and outside of class.
Great Professor who cares about his students, alongside his love for marketing. I have had 3 classes with Wynne and have all been good. However, I would advise taking MKTG 441 with someone else, as he tended to make the class more stressful then it should of been. Overall, excellent choice for lower leveled marketing classes.
I LOOVEEEE William, This is my second time taking him and he is awesome! Has great jokes and makes lectures and projects fun! He really cares about his students and how they are. If you get the chance to take one of his classes, I would highly recommend it!!!
It is a difficult class, but in a good way. This isn't a course you'll walk away from and forget you took it 3 years down the road, you come out with some great tools/concepts for the real world. With this class being centered on one main idea and only a few true assignments, it brings a lot of reflection/guidance.
Absolutely love this professor. Wynne makes you work for your grade, for sure, but wants his students to successful and will do a lot for you to help you understand the concepts. If you want a teacher who cares about his students, but wants a challenge, this is the professor to take classes with. Plus he is very fun to talk to.
Overall professor Wynne is my favorite business professor at BSU. I would highly recommend taking any of his classes if you have the chance. I learned a lot if real world information from this class that I will apply in my future career.
Reading the textbook before the quiz each week is definitely necessary to succeed, but it is honestly not too bad and I normally hate reading. The professor is super engaged for an online class and very helpful when needed. The assignments are graded relatively tough but if you follow his format you will receive a decent grade. Great class!
This is my second time having him as my professor, and all I have to say is that he cares about his students and their work. He is dedicated to teaching students on how to be retain information properly and efficiently. I wish I had more classes with him!
Professor Wynne cares very much about his students and their success. He was always willing to help out when needed and all of the course content was extremely beneficial. The class is actually based around real-life scenarios and professor Wynne made coming to class every enjoyable.
If you don't take the courses he offers I have noticed a higher possibility you don't learn anything at all @ BSU.
Professor Wynne was great at preparing us for life after college. He used humor to make the lectures a little more exciting and kept us engaged. It was an advanced class that required a lot of time and work, but the work felt worth it because it correlated to our future endeavors.
Great class and great professor. Respects your time & trusts that you will put in the required work to create quality deliverables. This class will leave you feeling more prepared for the real world, professionally and personally. Not a lot of reading required, textbook acts as more of a guide to complete the projects rather than filler knowledge.
Bill Wynne was a great professor that wanted every one of his students to pass his class. It is designed to help discover your personal brand and what values you stand behind. He is very funny and really cares about all his students.
If you put in the work, Bill is there to cheer you on and give you all the resources you need to succeed. He has some tough classes and work but this class literally prepared me for my future and helped me land my dream job while discovering who I am. He is tough but if you care about your future he's a must-take teacher.
This was a tough class, but you learn a lot. If you show up to class and read the textbook, you will be great!
Professor Wynne knows his stuff. He treats his classes and expectations as a job to get you ready for your professional future. Always willing to help.
Great professor! I have taken William Wynne two times now and I have loved the class that I took because of him. If you are having any troubles in the class, do not hesitate to talk to him about it. He is always caring and is always there for his students. I highly recommend taking any class with him.
The class was challenging but in a good way. The feedback I received on projects was very in depth. He always is open for questions after class and takes time out of his day to help. Most of the grade is 3 large assignments but he gives you the tools an support needed to get it done well.
Professor Wynne has been the best professor that I have had at Boise State over the last four years. This class has allowed me to prepare myself and apply course concepts to my future career. He will definitely push you out of your comfort zone, but it has allowed for so much personal growth. Highly recommend him for any class at BSU!!
Professor Wynne was by far the best professor I have ever had. He expects a lot from students, but it is to your own benefit. This is one of the only classes that I have taken that will directly help me in the real world. I would definitely recommend especially if you are looking to get a lot out of a class.
Professor Wynne truly cares about his students and wants to see them and help them succeed in any way that he can. He is very personable and makes class interesting and easy to follow along with. If you pay attention and actually put forth a modicum of effort you will do well in the class and will have a good time doing so.
If there's one professor that you HAVE to have, it's Bill Wynne. I've learned more about myself, my future career, and marketing from Prof. Wynne than I have from any other professor. His classes are engaging and ACTUALLY BENEFICIAL. He won't waste your time with pointless assignments. 100% recommend.
I just finished my third course with Bill & I can honestly say he was my favorite professor at Boise State. He will never let one of his students fail & always makes sure that everybody is on track to succeed, whether that be personally or professionally. I would recommend that everyone & anyone takes a class with Bill at their time at BSU.
I have taken William Wynne several times throughout my time at Boise State. I have enjoyed all his classes. Although this class really requires you to dig down deep to analyze yourself and makes you really reflect on who you are, it is very helpful for being a last semester class. He gives great feedback & the class is very open to communication.
Professor Wynne was one of the best professors I ever had. Even though this was an online class, Professor Wynne made it easy to meet with him when he was available. This was very helpful because he provided me with amazing assistance throughout the semester. This class is difficult, but Professor Wynne is great at helping you succeed.
I started off the class thinking Prof. Wynne was a tough grader that didn't care about the online students he was teaching- I was wrong. Professor Wynne is a fantastic gentleman who cares about his students and wants them to learn. You have to want to learn, but I promise what you give in this class will be received back tenfold. Highly recommend.
Professor Wynne is an amazing professor who wants to see his students succeed and grow throughout the course. In this course, there is a large project throughout the semester. The only challenging aspect is Professor Wynne doesn't give a lot of direction, as it is a personal project. The best professor I ever had. Take his class if you can!
Professor Wynne has been my favorite professor I have taken at BSU. There is a large paper due, but we have ample time and access to him for any questions we have. Great professor and great person, wish I could have taken him for more of my classes, not just one during my last semester.
Easily one of my favorite professors I have taken here at Boise State. He is very personable and enjoys teaching his students, most importantly he makes class enjoyable. It's not an easy class whatsoever the project is semester-long. However, the best thing you can do is ask questions and show that you want to learn when given individual work time.
Professor Wynne is there to help you win, but you have to be proactive. He tells you what you need to do and lays his expectations out right away. As he'll tell you in the first class, he's here to help you spread your wings and leave the nest, but he can't and won't spread your wings for you. He really does care, but you have to as well.
This professor was truly one of the best I have had in my college experience. He runs his class like a manager in a Fortune 500 company and gives incredible insight and advice. He is funny, charismatic, and a great lecturer. I feel if you have the ability to take his class you will be much better off for it and PSA, start the project early.
Class revolves around a big project that includes a 20-30 page report, modeling, resume/linkedin and a video presentation. A few discussion boards. Grading criteria is not super clear but allows for interpretation as long as you put in the effort. Very understanding and cares about his students, go to online office hours. Engaging lectures/teaching
This was a great class that really helped prepare me for the future and gave me great tools I will use in the real world. Bill is a great professor, and cares about each student's success, and creates a great learning environment to prepare you for your future. I would highly recommend this class, Bill is by far one of the best professors at BSU!
One of the best and most beneficial classes I've taken in my college career. Professor Wynne truly cares about his students and wants to help you succeed and better yourself for the future. This class impacted me in a very positive way and I will always remember the kind and encouraging words from Professor Wynne! Take this course:)
If you have the chance to take Bill, take him! He is awesome and this class is easy. You pretty much work on a paper the whole semester so as long as you stay on top of it you will do fine.
Very fun. There is only a handful of assignments so make sure not to miss anything or you will be playing catch up. His instructions at times can be confusing but he helps you along the way. There is a lot of freedom to do what you want with your assignments. Overall, a great class that I learned a lot in.
Bill Wynne is a really fun professor and really cares about his students. He is super laid back if you complete all your work. The class is centered around one big project broken into 3 parts and it's a very loosely defined project so be comfortable with not having rigid guidelines. Would definitely take again :)
Bill was probably my favorite professor at Boise State. The class is pretty laid back and basically the only homework is a semester long project in 3 sections and a few discussion posts. This class really helped me figure out my next steps in my future as that is what the project is loosely about. Definitely take this class if you can!
This class is focused on building YOU as a person and as a brand. Wynne works very hard to push you to figure out what you want - he won't give you the answer key, but he will help guide you. He's very sarcastic, down to earth, and has the teaching style of "kicking you out of the nest". 10/10 would take again.
Definitely take Professor Wynne if he is available. Without a doubt my favorite Professor I have/will ever have. Very passionate about what he teaches and about his students. You will have a few difficult assignments at the beginning of the year but just get through them and the class will be worth it. He is the absolute best.
He has a lot of career & life experience about what he teaches so he's very passionate. He truly cares about his students. Lots of discussion posts at the beginning of the semester but once the marketing simulation starts its easy and you are with your group the rest of the semester. If you ask a question he answers with a question most times.
he is just a really nice dude who wants you to learn, he has a few homework assignments in the beginning of the semester but after that, there is nothing except for a group project that you do only in class.
By far the best professor I have taken at Boise State!! If you have the opportunity to take him, take him. My 441 class was primarily working on a semester long project (most that can be completed in class). 1000% recommend
Bill was a great professor that cares about the success of his students and is always willing to help when you need it! I really enjoyed this class and wish I would have taken more of his classes while I was at Boise State.
Bill Wynne's classes may be difficult in some aspects, but the overall learning from the course was worth it. He uses his real-world experience to teach about the workforce instead of just following a curriculum textbook. Overall I gained some valuable knowledge that can be applied to my future.
Bill is a professor who will be your best friend if you put in the work, but he doesn't coddle. Class is structured to be top heavy, so your workload is difficult at first but slowly tapers off to the end. The information in this class is actually useful and if you use the time he allots for work and help you will build a well rounded portfolio.
Bill is the best professor I have ever had and likely one of the people I will have learned the most from in my life. He cares about what he does, and is heavily talented in his field. He is personable, funny, witty, and a very smart man. Take his class not only for the credit, but to get to know Bill. He is a one of a king professor and human.
Bill is an great. He is a bit vauge on his instructions, but if you read the book and the instructions and ask questions then you will do well. It is a lot of work dont get me wrong, but it was super beneficial to my personal growth and my brand. I would 100% recommend taking this course, however, be prepared to write a 30 page paper.
Professor Wynne is challenging but rewarding. His class focuses on personal growth and branding - not just textbook learning. Utilize Unstuck AI, the textbook, and attend office hours for the best results.
Bill truly cares about his students and prepares you for the real world. He's approachable, engaging, and makes learning feel meaningful. Highly recommend taking his class!
Bro was chill
Great class that prepares yourself for the future. Be ready to get creative and use lots of AI. I really enjoy this class and would recommend to take it.
Bill Wynne is an awesome professor. His class was challenging, but I'd argue one of the more important classes I've taken at Boise State. Attendance isn't required, but I recommend showing up. He gives important info in class that pertains to the projects/discussion boards. He is funny and cares about all of his students.
Professor Wynne is a great professor. All assignments were explained clearly and grading was extremely fair. Attendance is mandatory but just show up to class it makes the class a lot better. I would take this class again and everyone at BSU should take this class.
If you apply yourself and go to every class, it is very easy to get a good grade
This class helped me get a job! Marketing is everything!
Treat this class like a job and you will do fine, don't miss class unless you want to fail. He does a great job of teaching how to study your own identity.
I would really recommend taking Bill's class. His class has a couple discussion boards and three big submissions. There isn't a lot of instruction but if you attend class and listen carefully to tips he gives you in class you will do great!
There are three major projects, and they are graded fairly hard. The instructions are vague, and you are encouraged to ask questions "outside of the box." Overall, a good class and the final project will help set you apart from others in the hiring space.
If you are on the fence about taking Bill's class just do it. The entire point of this class is to establish your own personal brand through a semester long project (split into 3 phases). This is one of the most valuable classes you can take in regards to your future career. The projects are huge, but manage your time well and you will do great.
Bill is one of the most knowledgeable professors on campus, bringing Fortune 500 marketing experience into every lecture. The projects are highly practical and useful for your career. My main advice: show up and listen, he shares key insights in class that you won't get anywhere else.
Some days were mandatory but not all. Bill explains his expectations on the first day of class and basically tells you how to pass. This is a capstone course with one project and some replies. Do what the rubric says, go over the expected requirements (reply to 2 classmates) reply to 4 instead. The project isn't hard just read the book and do it.
This class truly prepares you for post-grad. Every assignment is meaningful and designed to push you forward, there's no "busy work". Bill genuinely cares about his students and invests in their success. Don't take this class unless you're ready to grow, be creatively challenged, and start carrying yourself like a young professional.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time working on this class. Bill grades harshly, gives vague instructions, and is looking for very specific requirements you have to listen for in class. Spend lots of time crafting your deliverables, asking questions, and comparing with your peers. Be prepared for the challenge, and take advantage of the opportunity.
Great professor who cares about your future career success. You must put in the work and effort to succeed. If you do, it is a very meaningful class.
Attendance isn't mandatory but you may miss out on important information about the project if you miss. Vague instructions and grading criteria, you MUST ask lots of questions and pay attention in order to get a good grade. Not a lot of work, 5 discussion posts and 3 phases of the project that you work on in class.
Bill's class has had the greatest impact on me out of any class I've taken so far at BSU. I learned a great deal about myself and feel prepared for a career after graduation. The project is pretty intense, but it was well worth it for my personal development. Attend class as he gives a LOT of important project instruction that is not on Canvas.
