Mr.Hale is awesome! He does a great job at teaching this class, mainly when considering that Stats would be hard to teach. He helps you outside the class if you need it. He is very nice and funny. He cares about all students. I loved this class!!

This class is fun (Hale cracks me up)! Even though the work is extensive and you really do have to focus, Mr. Hale makes sure that the material he's teaching gets across to the students in a way that makes you retain the information for the tests. If you have to choose a professor, take Hale! You won't regret it!

I was so nervous walking into stats.. I really suck at math but Mrs hale made it clear . I cant say anything but nice things about Mr Hale but you have to put a real effort in to receive an A/B. and understand grades aren't just given their earned.

I thought Stats would be a hard subject, but Willie explains things very well and makes it seem easy. He drops hints throughout the lecture as to what might be on the tests. HW, quizzes, & tests are easy for the most part and he often curves tests. Essentially, Willie's a great professor.

This was my second time taking this course, and he made it so easy to understand! I went in super nervous and it turned out I ended up liking statistics! Highly recommend him. You will be prepared for Experimental for sure!

Willie is a very good understanding professor. He is will take his time and patience to make sure everyone in class has an understanding for what is being thought in the day. He tries his hardest unlike other professors to help those who seem like they are helping themselves.

Willie is very interested in this course and it's obvious he loves it. He uses Dr. Pillow's workbook so you will be well prepared for Experimental especially if you take Lopez. Willie is very helpful and I would suggest his class to others. I liked that he would make jokes in class and lets you joke too.

Did well in stressing what needed to be learned to do well on exams. He used Dr. Pillow's notes and exams, but mentioned that if were to make his own, they would be tougher. Attentive to students' needs and enthusiastic about making sure we understood topics in the class. Very good teacher, especially for being new to teaching & a summer class.

Willie is an AWESOME instructor!!! His teaching is very clear to understand and easy even if you dont like stats. He is very animated in class so its not boring and you dont even realize you are learning. As long as you show up to class and follow along with the class notes you will pass. He is very approachable and helps out in any way.

Wonderful professor and very helpful. Always available to help as well. Class uses Pillows Notes instead of a book and is set up making the concept simple. Go to class and you wont need the book at all. HW is almost guarenteed 100 if you just do it. If you can take this class with Hale then do it!

Hale is the best professor I've had hands down. Besides being extremely helpful, he is always available for any questions you may have, math related or not. If you suck at math and were freaking out about having to take this course like I was, have no fear, Willie is here. Take advantage of his office hours, trust me he is super approachable.

Hale is a great professor. He explains all course material in great detail and makes the information easy to comprehend. He also takes time at the beginning of class to go over previous lecture notes to help reinforce the material. I highly recommend Hale for this course.

There's no reason to fail this course. There are HW and Practice Test answers on blackboard, so those are helpful for practice. Hale is very helpful in explaining the concepts. Very approachable.

Professor Willie Hale is as good as a professor as one can hope for. He always makes sure that the students are all grasping the concepts he is teaching and always does example problems to ensure comprehension. He made himself readily available to students that needed help outside of class. I highly recommend him.

Statistics is difficult enough as it is, but Mr. Hale does an awesome job of making it understandable. He is very entertaining, but is still invested in his students to understand this horrid stuff. If you attend class, do the homework, and look at the practice tests then you should be able to walk out with an A.

First impression: Whoa, Kevin Hart is a math professor? Second impression: Whoa, this guy rocks. He's good at what he does, and is one of those teachers who don't make you feel dumb when you ask questions about something you don't understand.

A+ for Willie's mad teaching skills. He's approachable and always available during office hours. Plus, props to him for highlighting the concepts/lecture example problems that would show up on the test.

You would not regret taking Willie for a class, so take him! He's chill, smart, and an overall good teacher.

Don't bother buying a textbook for this class, cuz you'll never need it. Mr. Hale is more than adequate in getting the material across. There are about 4 homework assignments, which you turn in on test days. HW shouldn't be a problem because you can always check your answers on blackboard.

I took him for a summer course, and in these 5 weeks I learned a lot from Professor Hale. If you're not a fan of math or dread the subject, Hale really puts you at ease with his lectures and examples.

Attendance isn't mandatory (he doesn't take roll & there are no i-click questions), but you should show up anyway because he's a good professor! You should be able to make it out with an A if you review notes and do the practice tests (and also pay attention in lectures).

I think it's rather nice of Willie to put in bonus questions that have no relevance to statistics (he once asked an EC q on a test to name celebrities he resembled). It's to make sure you're being attentive. Nice guy, and an even better instructor.

I highly recommend Willie's class. He's a good teacher and is always willing to help anyone if the material isn't understood . Don't buy the book, go to class, do the hw and practice tests and you should make an A. Great class!

This is a pretty difficult class, but he makes really fun. He is always cracking hilarious jokes. Sometimes those jokes show up as extra credit questions on the tests. I was thinking I was going to hate this class, but he is a great teacher who makes me want to attend class. He is so helpful and encouraging! TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Willie is the best stats professor I've ever taken, hands down. He's also one of the coolest, funniest and most laid back guys out there. He uses a system of notes that make learning the material much easier than a standard textbook. He gives you every opportunity to make a good grade in the class through some extra credit and homework assignments.

He's Awesome 4 tests & all have practice tests which are very much like the test so do them & you will know what to expect for the test.8 hmwk & 2 quizzes. Attendance not mandatory but DO NOT miss because the material is difficult. Willie offers extra credit so do it because it will only benefit you. Funny guy, approachable, sweet. Thank me later;)

Best stats professor you can take for psych stats. Subject itself is difficult, but there are fill in the blank note and test reviews and other problems for extra credit. Study hard and you can make an A or B

Excellent professor!! Not bothered when you need extra help. As a student who struggles with anything related to math, I'm so happy I got this professor!! Gives opportunity for extra-credit. He's funny! Really tries to engage students who can easily become distracted when learning about standard deviations, etc. He wants students to do well.

Professor Hale is hilarious! If you don't walk out of his class a baby statistics wiz then you will at least get a laugh out of him. The book isn't necessary, his test and quizzes are based off lectures. He breaks down problems and equations to the point where it seems like basic math again. Test are both multiple choice and open ended. Take him!

Reading helps understand the lectures, but it isn't absolutely a must. Grades consisted of about 5 projects, a midterm, and a final. Professor is available outside of class and funny. He made pulled me off to the side to make sure I understood something from the homework that was going to be on the test. Great teacher. Really knows what he's doing

I would recommend to read the book if you need detail - THAT BOOK WAS GODSEND TO ME. He also has awesome PowerPoints where he also explains things in detail. You can tell Dr. Hale knows the stats, however sometimes while explaining a topic it would get kind of messy. I would recommend taking his class for his wit, beard, and knowledge.

Dr. Hale makes statistics fun. I liked the flow of the class. The assignments could get a bit confusing, but he's always willing to help. This was his first semester teaching 5413. I'm sure the next time he teaches it, things will go even more smoothly. Honestly, take this class. Hopefully he'll still have his beard and sense of humor.

Do you know what a factorial ANOVA is? Do you understand semi-partial correlations? Can you write SPSS syntax? If you're reading this review, the answers for you are probably, "Not yet. Sorta. Ummm..." Believe you me, if you take Dr. Hale, you will become confident in answering YES! He makes a class that is historically awful waaaaay better.

Dr. Hale CARES about his students. If you fail this class it is because you didn't try at all. He gives extra credit at his discretion and curves the tests. He tries to make sure everyone understands during lecture and he is more than willing to answer your questions. He gives you a study guide almost exactly like the test. Take him!

Professor Hale is the one professor who I can say genuinely cares for his students and their success. He'll work with you in any way he can, but, if you do not show that you care to learn about one way anova, independent t tests, or z tests, then you will be on your own. After you take his class, you will be a pro in Psychology Stats, trust me.

This guy is awesome! He cares about his students and makes sure any questions/concerns are answered. Even though its an online class, there is a lot of work to be put into it. Like he suggests, you should spend one/two hours a day on each lecture, or just dedicated the weekend for it. This class is really straight forward but don't get behind.

Although statistical psychology could be considered one of the more challenging psych classes Dr. Hale sure makes it seem easy. Going in initially I thought it was going to be difficult but being almost done with the semester he has proved me wrong. He is able to make difficult topics seems so simple with his explanations. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Hale took over when our original professor took a medical leave of absence. His lectures are super helpful and, though the tests are challenging, if you just keep up with your work, you'll be fine. He's a super approachable guy and is always willing to help and talk it out with you if you're having issues. Highly recommend.

Willie Hale is the man. I was thinking this was going to be the hardest class of my degree and it was a breeze. Pay attention to his lectures, take notes and you will definitely pass. Homework is almost identical to the exam material. He gives 3 attempts on all homework and I would use every single attempt to get in the most practice.

Dr. Hale is an amazing professor. I wish I could have taken his class in-person, but his online lectures were just as great and easy to follow. While others are saying that the quizzes and homework's have nothing to do with the lectures, that is not the case. He gives you everything you need to know in order to pass the class.

Dr. Hale is great, and his lectures will help you feel confident to tackle the homework and exams (no textbook!) Just take great notes on each step of the process you are doing, make tables just like the ones in the lectures so you can reference them later and the tougher subject matter becomes much less overwhelming.
