Online, do the work: discussion, homework and you'll be fine. But, don't expect him to be very helpful, he has short man syndrome and is seems arrogant. This is a very demanding class and suggest that while taking this class, don't overload with units.

This guy has a serious attitude problem. He is very vegue on his instructions and gets upset when asked a question. This is NOT USC or UCLA. He should drop the arrogant ego trip. Would not recomend him at all.

He is rude and condescends his students. If you ask him a question he tries to belittle you. He doesn't teach.. instead he forces his opinion onto you and if you don't agree your grade is affected.

Took his class for about 2 weeks online before i dropped it. He thinks he is god and dont you dare disagree with him also he supplies you with inordinate amounts of homework. He teaches this class like we are all going to be poli sci majors.

This professor is very difficult, he gives way to much homework. He is not clear about what is required most of the time. He is very rude and not is not respectful.

He is the worst teacher I've ever had!! I highly recommend you do not get him. I've never had so much hw until this guy. I am a good student, but man this guy is ridiculous. If anybody says hes a good teacher obviously has no life and loves political science or they just kissed butt the whole semester. Dont get him!!! I am warning you!!

Passed with a B, but WAS THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! VERY rude and inconsiderate! I took him online and his exams were made IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS, mostly because of technical errors and even that was not a good enough reason for a retake. I've taken about 10 online classes and his was the only one I HATED!

Took him online was rude the whole time. Is not helpful at all. He types in caps many times when asked a question. Is not flexible at all when turning in assignments even when there is problems technical wise. Hate him!

Worst teacher. Can't even call him a teacher. He is a smart alec and very rude. If you ask him a question through email he just says "look at the syllabus" when it isn't even there. Homework is estimated 4 or so pages of writing a chaper plus 2 page current event a week. Worst online class I will never take this guy DO NOT TAKE HIM HES TERRIBLE!

I took Poli sci 101 with this guy years ago, and I still remember how blatantly mean, arrogant, and negative he was. He is extremely full of himself, and makes it pretty obvious that he doesn't honestly care about the students. Do yourself a favor and skip this guy, take it with someone else.

Way too much homework and the tests are impossible to pass. Also he will go back in the middle of the semester and change your grades for homework. He is not helpful at all and treats you like your stupid. Do not take him he is unreasonable.

Lets be clear about this man, he's awful. If you look thru the comments you will see a trend a of people saying to PASS the class. That does not mean a good grade, he's rude and extremely disrespectful. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He was an utter waste of my time.

Yes this is college yes its supposed to be difficult and there should be work involved, but this is a 100 level 3 UNIT CLASS!!!! at a JC. Standard rules are 2-3 hours per week per unit outside class....He is closer to 5. No flexibility, aggressive condecending zero help. Taking him online and I would have to advise DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR

many students warned me about this teacher and I didn't listen.Well they were right. First day of class and he basically tells you he is right and you are wrong. He is very sarcastic. I am there to learn if you ask a question that might seem dumb,puts you down making you not want to ask a question again. on word for him here is a nice one... RUDE

I don't even have this class. My friend has this class. I looked at her homework, then we both died in the fetal position on top of a pile of newspapers.Anyways, I hear he is a sassy dude. Very controversial and offensive, THAT i do like.

Super HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I took his class online biggest mistake ever! He requires too much and the website was so confusing it was so disorganized, and usually I love online classes but this class was so disorganized and had so many different tabs that you had to keep going back and forth. He was rude when I would ask for help he made me feel dumb.

Every third word is "ya, uh hmm, ok." Poor grammar skills, but is more that willing to knock the students grade down for grammar. Not the worst teacher, but there are others much better. At $140k a year with OT and benefits package, the school and students are short changed.

Very rude Professor. He took forever to respond to a question, in which time had passed, so you can fail. IF he did respond, he was belittling and rude. I would not recommend this professor to anyone, unless you like being treated like a child and this is your ONLY course for the term.

Find any other teacher. Not a man fit to instruct.

I found his personality to be annoying and arrogant. Although I did his "easy quizzes" per his given recommendations, the short answer portions of his exams were graded so very unfairly that I ended up not passing his exams.

Really rude. If you're late, he tells you that you can't come in. He calls out everyone and if you get the wrong answer, he rolls his eyes and is just rude about the whole thing. He expects you to read the whole chapter (40+ pages, small print) & MEMORIZE the easy quiz (50+ questions) before each lecture. Learning seems like memorizing

Very unprofessional teacher. He makes you learn what he wants and and if you don't believe the same thing as him, you're wrong. Very full of himself and the people he "knows." Don't buy the book. You can get by without it. Take advantage of extra credit. Will move your grade up 2 letter grades. Horrible teacher. Stay away from this class.

He's a tough grader, and gives unclear instructions. Quick to give rude feedback, but none that will actually help in improving future assignments. Do not recommend, especially if you're planning on taking other courses.

This professor is extremely rude. He is disrespectful in responding to questions, which is unacceptable in an online course. He is a hard grader and although he gives feedback, it won't help if you take it. Even if you do exactly what he says, good luck getting the grade you want. Do not recommend at all.

I would avoid taking Mr. Hamilton's online class at all costs. He expects you to post something everyday of the week and spend hours on the class each day, which is not realistic for us who work 50-60 hour weeks and have lives. He has no empathy for your work life do not ask how you can put in more work because he will give you a cold short reply.

Not a class you can easily stroll through. Requires an unnecessary amount of participation imo and too much time for just ONE class. Difficult if you have a job or another focus outside of school. Work ain't easy.

I took this professor although ignoring the warnings of how he is, it's not a hard class if you stay on top of you assignments online but he does grade difficult. It his way or no way, at the beginning of the semester he constantly would create announcements of 'don'ts' to pass his class rather than 'do's'.... quite arrogant with his comments

He destroys your test. He expects a lot I dont think I got a test back over a C. He would yell at the class how disappointed he is how horrible we are. Also he spends a lot of time talking about how he hates trump which is annoying were here to learn, not hear his opinion. He did provide extra credit the answers are online so it helped me

Professor Hamilton does not address his students with the same amount of courtesy and respect that he demands from them. For his online class, he started the discussions off with controversial subjects, all before teaching anything about political science. I emailed him with concerns he responded threateningly. I dropped, it's not worth risking it!

Please trust me, just dont take this class. Never not anything higher than a C on his tests! Only passes with an A because of the amount of extra credit he gives. He also made you feel not very smart if you didnt know the answers to questions. Nearly half the class dropped his class.

His class would be okay if his attitude wasn't so bad. He loves putting students down and embarrassing them in front of the entire class. He'll call you out randomly, ask you a question, if you don't know the answer, be ready to feel dumb. I'm surprised MSJC still employs him. Wait for a better professor is all I have to say.

He holds high expectations for the students, but does not provide enough feedback and clarification to actually guide them through the course. If you are confused or unsure on a lecture, he will only tell you to figure it out. Ironically enough, he demands respect and proper grammar from the students while he doesn't return either. Don't take him.

He is the worst online course-facilitator that I have seen in my life. I have a graduate degree but needed some college credits for my other professional license and met this unprofessional person. I took an online class but expected "in-class" daily. Willie Hamilton, you are the worst, and you made your family and MSJC ashamed!

He doesnt really help you if you need help understand something very rude.

Took his online course and in everything he posted from his syllabus to his grading on discussion questions, he came off as rude and unhelpful as he didn't really give helpful feedback. You can meet the minimum requirement of his discussion boards if you wanted. But, I would advise not to meet just the min if you don't want to be told to add more.

The amount of work isn't worth it when you take his attitude into account. He publicly derides anybody who asks questions despite having a criteria that's as clear as mud. So many students got confused, myself included. I dropped the class, and I don't regret it. Look for someone else if you want to avoid trouble.

First off, you will get marked down if you don't have the time to do the discussion board daily (which usually the reason for online class is because you don't have that kind of time). The only thing he clearly states in his syllabus is that if you meet all the requirements you will only get a C, maybe. He contradicts himself, often.

This professor is the worst by far one of my worst Ive had my whole college education life. Hes rude whenever you need help with something. As much as you try hard to do good with your discussions or any written assignment you best grade will be a C and he doesnt give any advice. He just comes off as being completely rude. You won't learn much about political science. Instead, you'll get a class that is a forum for political opinions. Also, he's extremely rude.

Honestly he needs to update his study sheets and utilize the textbook better, I hear political science classes are just this way but I really didn't learn much. So take a different one if you can. He's straight forward, but needs to weed out a lot of the useless portions of the book.

He hates answering questions and refuses to help any of his students. The criteria was so confusing, but he told everyone to "figure it out" instead of clarifying what he wanted. Docks points for all sorts of things, especially if you're not in agreement with his opinion. Also gives deadlines AFTER the assignment is due, docking more points.

Good luck if you have a question to ask, he makes you feel stupid and very rude. I took his online class. I turned in a 8 week project i was working on in wrong format, and realized it and resent it right, he didnt care to let me explain, gave me a complete zero on a 300 point project i worked long nights on. Never will take his class again.

Unclear syllabus, unwilling to help, and unable to treat students with the same respect he demands from them. I don't know what his problem is, but he removes the "professional" status from "professor". He ought to be ashamed of himself and his conduct! Save yourself the stress and DO. NOT. TAKE. HIM.

The bad: Rude, condescending, opinionated, unhelpful, easily irritated if you are confused or otherwise unable to answer his questions and assignments in the thinly-explained, but very particular way he wants you to. You also lose points if you oppose his view. The good: There are other Pol Sci professors to choose from. So go do that.

Chose him because of the bad reviews and I like a challenge. Every assignment was designed to trick students, even when they studied. (And I was top 1%, and only got a B) There is no light in his soul. This class is artificially difficult and not worth it if you took HS government. DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE DIFFERENT. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
