she is the best and makes the class a lot of fun. there is learning involved but it makes it so easy because she tells so many related stories that during the test you just laugh to yourslef thinking of the stories and that way knowing the answer. GREAT CLASS

Wilma is very lively and is willing to help her students as much as possible. No book, midterms, or final. Final group projects and like 5 test make up most of the grade. She does tend to lecture very fast wilth no class discusion. I found it very boring listening to her stories. Others would disagree.

Take her she is very good at making sure that everyone understands all the information. Lots of note taking from her speaking. Tests are not hard at all. Two multipal chocie tests. One essay test. The rest are little quizes 4-5 questions each.

The papers are easy and she gives extra credit all the time (Which really helps) the only "hard" thing in her class are the multiple choice tests. Other than that, i highly recommend her.

This proffessor was great. She knew the material and taught it very well. I usually need a textbook to red from, but I dint purchase one for this class and still did very well on exams. She does give essay tests though. If you go to class and pay attention you should get an A in her class. She also copies her notes for people who are absent.

Wilma Starr is a great professor. She dictates the notes and follows an outline that she writes on the board before class. She will also give you the notes if you are absent. The tests can be difficult, so be sure to study. Some funny quirks about Ms. Starr: She talks about her family a lot, and says "as well" repeatedly. I recommend her.

Good teacher. Very understanding, very entertaining. I'll get an A without having opened the textbook. Makes note taking easy and gives examples of everything. You have a short paper, a group presentation, and 6 quizzes. Doesn't require more than 20 hours of work throughout the entire semester, and you'll still learn a lot. Highly recommended

This class was the best class I went to all semester its one of the 4 classes that i am took, that I will actually pass. I think its was soo interesting , but the tests she gives are hard. As long long as your into it, she will give you a chance to make your grade better.The presentation is my favorite soo far. And we are aloud one nake up test..:)

Wilma is awesome. I had to take Intro Psych as a prerequisite for more classes, and I just had a blast in her class. She explains things in a way that people can understand. She's such a blast to have, I'm taking Developmental Psych with her next semester, even though I don't have to.

great teacher. took her because i knew it would be easy. Very minimal amount of work and easy grader on paper and presentation. Tests ranged. She says u only have to take notes to pass her class but test 2-4 required a bit more studying and grasping the concepts not just repeating information. All tests offer extra credit which boosts your grade

Probably the best teacher i've ever had. Down to earth, great sense of humor, very helpful if any questions are asked, and assignments are easy to understand and fun. If you listen to everything she has to say you can write your own textbook without having to spend 80+ dollars on one. Nothing better then learning with a little stand up comedy.

I LOVED her, she was so passionate about what she was teaching. One great thing about this class, no textbook! Her quizzes are not that hard if you study the notes you take in class. She is definitely one of the best. She is very enthusiastic about the material she is teaching. There is five quizzes and two papers and attendance that all contribute to your grade. Every quiz has some sort of extra credit question. She would answer emails rather quickly. She relates every topic to real life and is willing to answer questions.

She will say that attendance counts, but I never missed a day and received the same grade as other students who missed five days in attendance. I am not a fan of almost any of the Professors at Bucks, but Wilma is definitely an exception. She is not focused on making you do any extra busy work she gets right to the point and she explains everything in a way you can easily understand. She is also very nice making her easily approachable when you do have questions. very dedicated professor!

Wilma was awesome!!! Buying the textbook is not mandatory because she goes over exactly what you will need to know in class. This class is super easy if you take good notes and study. Professor Wilma Starr is a great professor, her grading is fair and with a little studying it is easy to get a A or B. There is little to no homework and limited amount of papers. Ample amount of time to prepare for quizes and tests. No pop quizes. I would take Professor Starr again if I had the opportunity to.

Never used the book once and all material is learned in class (very lecture heavy), but she makes them so fun and enjoyable. 6 tests some harder than others. Would definitely take her again!

A wonderful person and teacher!!

Professor Starr is hands down the best professor at Bucks. If you are interested in anything Psychology related, I recommend Starr. She is knowledgable, inspirational and wise. Starr makes her classes fun and memorable. If you are not big on note-taking, definitely purchase the textbook. She gave our class the option, and I ended up not using it.

Professor Starr really is the best teacher at Bucks. I needed to write her a review because she deserves a great rating. Psychology can be a hard subject but she makes the material understandable. She posts reviews for a test that you fill out and can send back to her and she will send it back to you with her feedback and answers. Helped me alot!!

Wilma is a great professor and is very knowledgeable. Her lecture style is less interactive and all test material is given in lecture. You do not need to purchase a book, but to do well you must attend the lectures. All and all she is very flexible if you communicate with her on deadlines and problems.

Professor Starr was a great professor. She was funny and really nice. She wants everyone to do well and will help you on your papers. If you send her a rough draft, she will point out all the grammar mistakes for you and make suggestions, providing you with an easy A. Would totally take again

Amazing woman. A role model, honestly. She tells fun stories about her kids and her life as they relate to her lessons. No powerpoint, she only writes on the board, so if you don't come to class, you have to get the notes from someone. But, she cares more about you as people than as a student. She knows life happens and is very nice about that.

Wilma Starr was one of the best professors I have had at bucks so far. Although taking her class in person would have been ideal I still very much looked forward to going to her zoom sessions every other day. She can be a tough grader in some aspects but as long as you do what she asks, you will most likely pass the class.

Wilma is a phenomenal professor. It was my first time taking her again in a few semesters and wow, Im even more amazed by not only how great of a professor she is but how great she is as a person as well. Wilma is personable, reliable with communication and clear with expectations. If you attend class and do the work, you will succeed!

Professor Starr was amazing! I had her for PSYC180 and she made it my favorite class. She's extremely helpful and personable, and her lectures were always engaging. She was easy to reach outside of class, and gives her students pointers/guidance so that they can succeed. If I had the opportunity, I would take another one of her classes.

Such a nice person and very engaging and interesting lectures. offered study guides for each quiz, allowed her lectures to be recorded, and was overall very approachable and made class interesting.

Good professor and will help you. Some quizzes are hard so you have to take good notes and listen carefully. Only writes in cursive so it is hard to read sometimes

Such an amazing professor. That person was in my class last semester and they didn't show up to a single class. I passed all of the tests with ease just because I actually showed up and asked her questions. Ignore the previous person who gave bad feedback towards Wilma. They were just a bad student. Take this class!

Wilma is a great professor who really cares for her students. Will help you anytime you ask for it! Really thankful she’s my teacher and she spent her whole office hours catching me up on work that I missed.

Very funny and I actually enjoy her lectures, I have never felt the need to fall asleep in her class. Gives no homework and her tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Textbook not needed, just take good notes.

Her lectures were always interesting and she tells amazing stories which helped me remember things better. Tests are super easy. Only two big projects which she gave plenty of heads up for, and offered feedback on.

Prof Starr is very entertaining in her class! I enjoyed learning from her. The material was engaging and she is very knowledgeable. If you do the work in her class, you will pass. Gives great feedback on your presentation at the end. She is also very understanding and extremely accommodating if you have shown up and completed the work.

I just love her. She is awesome. She will help you every time, the best time to meet her is during office hours. She will even explain the whole study guide if needed. Her lectures are clear and full of fun. She provides a lot of extra credit that will boost your grades. I would surely recommend her.

Class was easy, just make sure to take notes and study for a few nights before each test.

Wilma gives very interesting lectures and offers extra credit on almost every exam. The exams are pretty difficult, and I recommend using her study guides and making flashcards. Lectures and taking thorough notes are highly encouraged. The first and last exams are open-ended and everything else is multiple-choice. Offers lots of outside help!

She is amazing. Her lectures are interesting and she's hilarious. Only thing I didn't like was that she doesn't do power points and instead just writes key words on the board so make sure you pay attention and are there every day. Tests are easy as long as you study and she gives extra credit. There's 1 presentation and I got 100%. overall amazing

I had Professor Starr in 2003 for Child Psych and Ed. Psych. After all these years, I can still remember how passionate she was in teaching this subject. I enjoyed her lectures but make sure you pay attention well because she doesn't provide you with the notes during class. I like that her tests were a combination of multiple choice and essay.

I loved having Wilma Starr as her lectures were interesting and funny and really easy to pay attention. 10/10 would recommend.

professor starr is great. no homework, and all assignments are tests and one final project which is a 5 minute presentation about anything you learned in psych. recommend her for anyone who needs to take psych110 and even had my sister and my friend take her and they both passed easily. no books and no homework! also very caring.

Great lectures and very funny. Always tries to connect with students and made herself accessible outside of class. There were extra credit opportunities and you were able to make up exams/ retake them if you did bad. Not much work to be done outside of class besides study.

Very bright & kind teacher, extremely understanding with personal matters, offers so much for anyone not understanding topics or who needs extra help. Very helpful study guides.

Professor Starr is one of my favorite professors. She is funny and is so easy to talk to. Her tests are hard but not impossible if you take good notes and do the study guide. The presentation is relatively easy its only five minutes. She also gives 30 extra credit points. You do need to go to every class.

i LOVED her! she engages students in class + makes it fun. she'll explain topics if u don't understand it. she teaches really well as well as has study guides set up for quizzes. she's very sweet and professional- i wish i could take her again

she's very nice and down to earth but oh boy does she like to talk. class is purely lecture so you have to take detailed notes. theres 6 quizzes based on her lectures and theres a 5 minute presentation at the end of the semester thats quick and easy and she is very generous with her grades on it. theres also a few extra credit opportunities

i took two classes with Wilma and she was wonderful. Take notes in her classes to pass the quizzes. She tells you exactly what she's looking for in her assignments and she tells stories in her lectures which helped me recall information for the quizzes. Overall, I really enjoyed her teaching style and classes.

Prof Starr's PSYC110 class is a breeze. Her lectures are engaging, and she's very accommodating. Do the work, and you'll ace it. Unstuck study is a great study tool too!

Wilma is very kind and thoughtful, she often tries to tie the material into culturally relevant things. She will give you help on assignments if you turn them in early. Notes are crucial and not usually posted online. Gives many chances for extra credit!!

She makes her lectures interesting and if you send her your study guides, she will help correct them. I personally think the way she goes through material during lectures can be a bit confusing, but she is always willing to help and responds to emails fast. if you can't read cursive DO NOT take this class, her notes and the board are strictly that.

Mrs. Starr is personable, and her teaching resonates on a practical yet, intimate level. She shares her own life and experience often. Her passion for both education and being a student are well balanced. Lots of extra credit and grace, dropping the lowest quiz grade. Incredibly supportive! I'd love to have her as my professor again.

Wilma is truly the best professor you can take here at Bucks! She ties everything together using real life and personal examples, making lectures very easy to understand. She tells you everything that will be on the tests. She cares a lot about her students! She's also so funny making the classes very entertaining.

Wilma is definitely one of my favorite teacher at BCCC. She is passionate about teaching and tries to connect with each student. I loved taking her classes and would recommend to everyone. The she gives notes are detailed and she always tries to make the topic relevant to the students.

I had Wilma over a year ago but had to give her this rating because she is still my favorite professor to this day. Her lectures are so engaging and she makes it so easy to memorize the content by telling stories that relate to the concepts. She is willing to help with your study guides and genuinely wants you to succeed in her class. So nice.

Prof. Starr's class is nearly impossible to fail. Just show up for the classes and use the resources provided to you and you're golden. Super easy to talk to and very kind whenever you need any help on anything!

Professor Starr has a really good course in terms of organization and clarity. The only things thatare graded are quizzes (none are that hard), one assignment, and attendence. She makes it very clear what you need to take notes on, and even gives feedback on your study guides which is very helpful. She really seems like she cares about this class.
