He is deffinitely one of my favorite profesors i have had at UMASS! He really wants people to do well and works really hard to help students. The tests are not easy but they are fair. As long as you go to lecture you will be fine. He is a GREAT guy!

Dr. Webley is a fantastic teacher. If people show up to class and follow the slides, it's difficult not to succeed. Any student who still needs to fill the BS requirement should definitely consider taking this course, it's incredibly relavent information, and a fabulous teacher doens't hurt!

He was a really nice guy, really easy to understand. show up to class, and listen to what he has to say, and you'll be just fine. he does reviews (helpful) and the tests aren't bad if you study for them... class was good.

EXTREMELY passionate about subject, and very helpful when it comes to extenuating circumstances, very accomodating. Good class, but requires paying attention. Tests can be a little hard, and grading can some a little unfair, but is balanced fairly in the end. I would recommend this class, excellent for a Gen-Ed.

Webley is the best professor I have ever had! If you are even considering taking this class DO IT. He's so intellegent and makes it so easy and interesting. I never opened the textbook once and I got an A.

MICROBIO 160 - I LOVED this class!! It is by far the best class I have ever taken. If Professor Webley taught any other undergraduate classes, I would take them all! AMAZING! all his lectures are online, and if you go to class he gives you answers to the tests. best 3 out of 4 tests are your grade, and even gives 4 points extra credit to your final grade. very easy multiple choice tests if you go to class and read over the lectures. Plus an overall very nice guy that cares alot

Great professor! My only concern is that 3 tests and an optional final is not enough to base a grade on.There are many other classes this size in which attendance is taken, there are quizzes, some homework. I found it hard to stay on top of the material when there was not practice in between esp. as an English major.

VERY good classyou learn something new everyday, he is one of the best professors i have had yet here because he genuinely cares about the topic.the tests are hard but if you go to lectures and do the readings youll be fine and it pays off in the end. i recommend this course for anyone majoring in anything.

Amazing class and professor. Every lecture is posted online and all of his exams are based on them. I highly recommend going to class because it is so interesting but I'm sure you can get by without going. Extra credit and optional final is a chance to redeem yourself after bad grades. STUDY for exams, and go to all of the extra reviews. Love him!

If you somewhat understand science, this is a good class for you. If you dont get it at all, like me, you will struggle through it. I thought it woudl be interesting, but I fell asleep most of the time. I struggled to get a B. The only good thing is that he helps you a ton for the final.

LOVE HIM. He is awesome. During Friday lectures he would give some exam questions word for word. He really made me interested in the class. I recommend him 100%. He is very dedicated and spends so much time preparing his lectures. He puts the lectures online, and you just print them out and bring them to class.

THIS GUY IS AMAZING! The class topic in interesting and you gain alot from it. MOST IMPORTANTLY:HE CARES! Thats something many teachers forget to do. Attendence is mandatory. If you can only take one class in college, Bio of Cancer & Aids with Professor Webley must be it. This is the most amazingly influential class. His lectures had the power to change the smoking habits of hundreds of students. Even with a class of 500 kids, he makes it seem like he cares about every individual just as if it were a 10 person class.

This class is great, I learned a ton, it is very interesting. There is a lot to learn, there are three tests and a final, and if you take all of them the lowest grade is dropped. He tries to make it so that everyone can succeed and get the grade they want and earned. This is a must take class, esp. for a gened

This guy is great. It's a tough class (immunology lab) but put the effort in. it's worth it. He IS an expert, and the TA's are cool too. Most enjoyable lab i've ever had. If you go to his office hours he's very helpful. Picks favorites, but luckily i was one of them

this class is amazing. although its not mandatory to go to class, it will really do you well. over the course of the classes he hints at exam questions and when it gets close to a test he actually gives out exam questions. you never leave the class confused because he makes sure that everything it perfectly clear in his slides and explanations.

Barely read the book because the lectures are so much easier to understand and he explains it a lot better. Go to class - it's so much easier than studying from the book and he gives a lot of hints if you show up.

You know when you get that science or math teacher that has no idea why the class doesn't "get it" and has no clue as to explain? Well, Prof. Webley isn't like that. I can tell that he really knows a lot about the material he's teaching but is capable of explaining the basics in a clear way. He's just a really good teacher. Also he has a nice bum.

Absolutely loved this class and Webley. One of the only courses I've ever taken in my life where I actually remembered and could take so much knowledge gained from the course and apply it to daily life. You never have to go to class but you should since the lectures are always interesting and he makes them entertaining. He cares about his students!

It's still not a very easy class, but if you attend and pay attention you should get a B with no problem, and an A if you study well. Interesting class too, definitely recommend.

There are 3 tests and an optional final along with several really easy writing assignments. Class is relatively easy if you attend all the classes and review sessions. You do have to study for the tests and they can be hard if you don't go to class. It's all about the effort you put into it and that's what Wilmore's all about. Really nice guy.

This class can be challenging, it involves a lot of memorization but honestly Prof. Webley is one of the smartest people ever. Attend class. Honestly, biggest mistake of mine was missing class. He posts all lectures online, check those out if you do end up missing class. There is a heavy dependance on the online part of the class, problems can happen there.

Dr. Webley is very intelligent and very good at getting information across. He always happily answers any questions you may have and will set aside time to talk to you about the subject, whether it's directly related to the coursework or not. Webley is a tough grader but the class is so incredibly interesting you'll actually want to pay attention in lecture and study. Grades consist of exams, case studies and online quizzes. There is an extra credit quiz at the end of the semester so there are plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up!

The class was much more difficult than I expected it to be so showing up to class is necessary even though he doesn't check attendance. He is soft spoken and very passionate, and also very accommodating, but don't expect to get a good grade without putting in effort and studying!

Webley is one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares a lot about the topics he discusses and clearly loves to teach it. There are no quizzes or exams, however there are two group presentations and a few online assignments that are pretty easy. Every Friday the class discusses new outbreaks. Participation is a major part of your grade.

Dr. Webley is so intelligent and truly cares about students. The class was discussion based yet he made the small lectures very interesting with relevant facts. There were lots of speakers and he encouraged participation in the class. There were a few papers and projects/presentations, but the grading was fair.

Wilmore is the best professor in the Microbiology department. He is kind, loves teaching and does it well, and accommodating. I discussed my issues with public speaking with him and he helped me find different ways to evaluate my learning in this class. I would stay after class just to talk with him every day. He is amazing, and dripped out too lol

Easiest A ever, also learned a lot because its very low stakes and he is very encouraging. Show up, participate in discussions every now and then, do the easy 6 assignments = A. Such a great, understanding, and inspirational professor. Not much more to say, take the class!!

Hands down best class I've taken. Low stakes, learned a lot more than I expected. His lectures are actually engaging and truly makes you want to go to class. Participate in lecture every once in a while and you're all set.
