Worst professor I have ever had. Tests are impossible and are ridiculous considering it was supposed to be an INTRO to anatomy class. After every exam, he had to deliver a 15 minute speech about the apparent miscommunication about certain material and diagrams. You MUST attend lecture and you MUST put in serious time to even come close to an A.

Don't be fooled. When you're in lecture, you seem to think that things will be okay-that is, until you get your first test grade back. If his lectures tell you what the sun is, then his tests ask you to calculate its mass using the color purple. The lectures are long and drone on. He offers no help when it comes to grading or understanding.

To be honest, this man is smart. He knows his material and has a research background. If you ask for help during his office hours, he will explain things more clearer. However, he doesn't initially present the information as clear as most students would like. You must WORK for an A in the class.

I can honestly say that I could have done better in this class, but he is not a great teacher on top of that. His lectures are long and boring, but he does tell you most of what will be on the test. You have to record his lectures and go back and listen to them because he goes way too fast to keep up. He is really unprepared, but you can do it

Lancaster is a hard teacher. You really have to pay attention to pass his class. He makes his test on a graduate level so therefore they are hard. He doesn't teach in a way that you can understand things. He is always talking about how he is an anatomist and making smart remarks. It is so much material to not have a study guide.

Lancaster is the kind of teacher who gives good lectures, but when you think you have "mastered" the material for the test, your grade will say otherwise. I went into this class as a nursing major and loving anatomy. After taking a semester with Dr. Lancaster, I do not want to see another chart of the human body again. His tests and quizzes were over material that was not even mentioned. I went to class, read the textbook, took extra notes, and studied! Overall, not a great professor.

Lancaster is a phenomenal professor. He was always structured and always covered the material that would be on the test in class. It is important to go to class because he elaborates on the notes and its on the test. He prepares you well for physiology if you have to take that too. Not impossible to get an A, just have to devote time.

Honestly, Dr. Lancaster is a great professor. He is very structured and is preparing you for physiology and nursing school. A lot of people will tell you not to take him because they think the lecture is hard but if you actually study you will be fine. The anatomy lab and lecture grade are averaged together so you have to pass both. Good luck!
