KNOWS HIS STUFF...BUT IS A LOUSY TEACHER...NOT EVERYONE CAN TEACH,AND HE IS ONE OF THEM!THINK TWICE BEFORE PICKING HIM
Do not take him!
This is the worst teacher on the face of Earth! He is so immature and worthless! If you take him you are gauranteed to fail, even if you ask for help he will not care!
I don't know what the previous posters are saying, but I really liked Librun. Good teacher, explains materials well, funny, and simple tests if you've done your part. Although he isn't the best one on one, he isn't the worst either. Highly Recommended.
Great Teacher! The only way you do not do well in this class is if you yourself DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING. Other then that he is a fair teacher with a good method of teaching. Good choice for math.
stay away consider this a warning you will fail
He gave us extra credit writing assignments in a math class. I like his philosophy about education. He keeps things simple, and he always seems happy. I would take another class again with him.
This is probably the worst math professor on campus. He dosnt speak clear english, goes of on tangents and refuses to help you unless you agree to change your major to math. (He actully told me to do this!!!)
HIS GOAL IS TO FAIL STUDENTS,TREAT GIRLS DIFFERENTS THAN BOYS
girls get better grade than boys.
He is wors teacher on the face of the earth he is very hard to understand and is a heavy favorite to treating girls better than boys and you just don't understand a single word the man is saying because of his accent and he just doesn't explain things that well Keep Away!!!! you will fail.
Although I passed his class, he is still very hard to understand and is not willing to help you out when you dont understand. He likes to make you feel dumb when you dont know an answer...not recommended
I liked this professor. I mean you actually have to show up to class, and take the notes. I got a B in his class. True you need to be very persistent in order for him to help you out, but he really isn't as bad as people are making him out to be.
If you want to pass a class this isn't the one for you. He puts review on the syllubus and says it's against his beliefs. Not a very nice person. Get fustrated with students when they have a hard time. Not a good take!!
good teacher but you must try
What he teaches is exactly what is on the test. extra credit available
WHAT HE TEACH IN CLASS IS ON THE TEST AND QUIZ! IF YOU FAIL HE CLASS ITS BECAUSE YOU DIDNT TRY AND IS A LOSER
I have never been able to understand math. Librun's class is very easy; you have tests and quizzes and he tells you whats on it. He does have jokes and cracks on students that are very talkative. Overall, he is a great professor but he is moody. For our final he told us he would write the formulas on the board & told us day of he never said that..
worst teacher ever!!!cant understand a word he says.. im a good nath student and barely passed.. dont take him!!
Does not teach.. only lectures in the little english that is clear
pathetic
He get off the subject a little nothing to worry about
fair cool guy
he helps you a lot ...math is hard sometimes..but he gives extra credit to try and help you .
Very good teacher. He tells u what's gonna be on the test and quizzes. If u don't pass his class, that's because u're stupid. Very easy to understand. Sometimes he joke around. I'm going to take him again for College Algebra. He gives extra credit also to help u with ur grades. I would recommend him 100%
Exellant teacher straight forward and to the point. His quizes reflect what will be on the tests. If you do your homework and prepair you will do fine. Those who gave him a low score obviously didn't prepair.
i am just taking calc II with this professor does anybody know anything about his teaching style?
He expects you to know everything he teaches already. HELLO, your supposed to TEACH it. His accent is a little strong, so it was hard to understand what he was saying sometimes.

great teacher, explains everything straight to the point. Tests come straight from hmwk/book. If you study you'll do fine. Very nice guy, unlike other math teachers he makes sure you really understand the stuff. Quality teacher.
he is a very hard teacher, unclear, and does not like people who are getting their math degree for teaching. he does somewhat hint on what will be on the test and exams. i did not like him. The first math class i ever had to drop.
He thinks he is so funny that he jokes around too much where as he jumps off te topic when teaching i dont know why he is teaching to honest
Not very clear. He teaches as if you should automatically know what is in his head.A professor should be able to teach you what they know, not just put things on the board and expect you to automatically know. Before you take this class just make sure you have yourself prepared from College Algebra. The class is only QUIZ and TEST.
think he is so funny got a D,end up taking intermidiate alg with johnson and pass with a B,have him now for colleg algebra real easy
Horrible teacher. Strong, almost uncomprehendable, accent. Goes on tangents about different languages and philosophers, not math. He asks if anyone has any questions, but says youre not paying attention if you ask one. He has no problem degrading you or calling you out in front of class. Shows no respect and has very little office hours for help.
i think he is pretty easy, he explains stuff well
the worse teacher on campus
He teaches pretty good and uses alot of examples on the board. I like him, just be very specific on your test because he will take points off for ANY imperfections, even obvious ones. But overall he is really fair, gives alot of extra credit, and homework is not mandatory.
He was a good teacher if you are fresh out of highschool or have been taking consequtive math classes but, if you haven't done math in a while he is the worst proffessor- zooms through all assignments with short explinations, dosn't take time to teach selected subjects and quiz everyother class and test in between quizes. Your grade is basied on th
I though Mr. Librun was awesome. He was extremely clear in his notes and his quizzes and tests matched the examples he gave except that the numbers were different. I am actually surprised about all of his negative ratings. I wouldn't have expected it. If you want to actually learn Calculus 3 then take him. Oh, and an 88 is an A and he gives e.c.
he just wasn't that great of a teacher overall.
He's super clear about what is going on. I guess my class seems to be the only one he isnt allowing extra credit in according to everyone else. The material is presented well, awesome lectures. He just doesnt give enough time for tests and quizes so really know the stuff.
He gives great notes and gives examples on the board. Gives really easy quizes if you study. Homework is not graded but if you do ALL the homework at the end of the class he might give u extra credit but it is ALOT of homework. I made it half way then guit. If you go to the math lab and do the Homework you'll do fine
worst teaxher ever..seriously and i ALWAYS give teachers benefiut of th edoubt but he was just plain horrible he did one porb;lem on th eboard and he expected us to know everything
Not a good teacher.LAZY!!! He gives examples but doesnt explain in detail because he is more concerned about getting home in a timely manner. The quizzes are similar to the test. Doesnt really care about the student success in the class.
ABO****E worst teacher that i have EVER had!!! he litterally told my class that he didnt want to teach us.. which means he doesnt care about teaching which means that he doesnt teach to the best of his abbility! when i asked questions he made me feel stupid like i should know everything rite away! JUST STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No BS here, very good professor. Gets right to the point and doesn't keep you in class longer than needed. Do the homework and study some and you will do well. I recommend him
He's a very hard and horrible teacher. He expects you to know everything. The only good part of this class is he doesn't grade homework. I highly recommend picking a different professor for this pre calc
TERRIBLE TEACHER.I DIDNT LIKE HIM FROM DAY ONE, SHOULD HAVE DROPPED THE CLASS THEN. IS GOOD WITH MATH BUT NOT AS A TEACHER. I USE TO BE GOOD AT MATH AND NOW I WENT DOWNHILL! DONT TAKE HIM. I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH. IM DROPPING CAUSE I HAVE AN F. THERE ARE VERY FEW STUDENTS WITH A'S OR EVEN B'S IN THE CLASS. AVERAGE GRADE, C, D OR F.ANYONE BUT HIM!
Amazing teacher, I have so much respect for him. the only reason nobody likes him is because he doesn't treat them like high school students. The guy is amazing! i love his outlook on life. He taught quickly but effectively. I am not that good at math but I still did good on all the quizes and tests. he knew how to teach

Professor Librun was a great professor. I highly recommend taking him. He does not take attendance, he is concise in the notes that he gives. If you have not taken math in the last year, take intermediate algebra. He moves quickly, but overall is a great teacher!
FORMER MATHEMATICIANS WOULD BE APAULLED AND EMBERRASED AT THE FACT THAT HE IS ABLE TO TEACH LET ALONE BE WITHIN A 1000 FT RADIUS OF A SCHOOL. forget spelling.
I took pre-calc in Spring, he moves waaayy too fast. He is unclear about content that will be on tests and quizzes. Sometimes you will see content which was not mentioned on those tests. No test review or review sheets. No dropped tests or quizzes. Don't take him if math doesn't come to you naturally. You WILL fall behind and have to drop like me.
Very hard to understand and moves very fast, if you fall behind good luck trying to catch up. No reviews for quizzes or tests and that is your whole grade. i wouldnt recommend him.
nOT THAT BUT NOT UGLY EITHER. KINDDA CUTE. I DIDN'T LIKE HIS METHOD OF TEACHING MATH. IF YOU ARE NOT A MATHEMATICIAN HE WOULD SIMPLY TELL TO CHANGE YOUR CAREER EVENTHOUGH YOU ONLY NEED MATH TO GET INTO YOUR SCIENCE COURSES. HE DOESN'T USE THE WHOLE CLASS TIME TO TEACH. IF THE CLASS IS 1 HOUR THAN HIS LECTURE IS ONLY 25 MIN.
Most challenging professor I have ever taken but I really learned a lot! Professor Librun has a sense of humor and knows how to make people enjoy the class. It is true that he moves a little fast. Before taking him, I suggest reviewing some things learned in calculus I and II. Also, good algebraic skills are needed!
This is the second class I've taken with him because he does plenty of examples on each topic and if something is unclear he will explain it. Not a free ride, you must study to do well on tests, but definately fair and gives partial credit on tests and quizzes. If you do all hw (not mandatory), you get 30 points extra credit. Challenging but fair.
Friendly person, but not so good teacher. What I least liked about the class was that he didn't give us enough time to finish a test,he made us leave the class 15 min earlier and we could have used that time to finish. He expects everyone to finish on time and thinks that eveyone works at the same phase
This man is AMAZING! I took him for MAC1105 and MAC1040. he moves fast, but tells you exactly what you need to know and nothing more! If you show up for class and study the practice problems he gives you you will do fine. If you take anyone else you'll be wasting your time. He is comical and makes what you learn clear and enjoyable!
This guy is not a very good teacher. If you are not good at teaching yourself and using the book, I wouldn't recommend him. His tests are really really long. Two of the tests he asked a question more than once. It's not cool when you put so many problems of the same type on a test that you can't even keep up with it. Not the worst, but still sucks.
every thing he goes over is not on the tests or quizes but the cool thing is he doesnt look at ur homework so you can pretty much go through the whole class not doing any hw but i wouldnt take this class if u dont like math
I commented on this prof before, but it disappeared? HE WAS THE WORST!! I only went to one class, but dropped him as soon as I could! he is disrespectful!! Goes as fast as a speed train! impossible to follow! he picks on anyone that's not like him! His personality is the worst! I took prof. Zink at Lake Worth, got an A!!ANYBODY ELSE BUT THIS GUY!!!
He is the best math teacher I have ever had. He goes in fast speed, that is true but he goes stricly to the point. he explains very clear and make sure that you understands. If you want to have an A in math take him, he the Bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've taken 3 math classes at PBCC and 2 other math classes at a different college and I have to say this guy is a jaw dropper when it comes to how bad he is. He trails off at end of sentences, tells students their chosen degrees are useless. I find him uninspiring where-as I have made As and Bs in other classes. Take anybody but him.
Theres not much I can say about him considering I have to keep it clean LOL. Worst math teacher I ever had.
Text book definition are all that you will get from Prof. Librun. He's a genius at math but a terrible teacher. He would be a great resource for info but as far as teaching goes, he SHOULD quit his day job. Word to the wise: dont bother...
This guy is really smart but and has a lot of tricks for his work, but his lessons are different from the book and it makes it very confusing. He gives quizzes a lot to make sure you are in class and the exams are hard so you need to study. We never used our books in class, only for homework and thats optional.
Be sure to get all the notes from the board with his explanations. Some Test hints are given during lecture. You will be lost if you miss class. He has an S.I. to help with any questions and the lab is helpful too.
I thought he was a great teacher- straight to the point. He doesn't collect homework, but gives 30 extra credit points if you complete all of it. He does teach quickly so you must attend class and pay attention. He does go off topic at times, but who wouldn't if you were teaching math; he is rather funny. I really enjoyed his class!
Calc 3 is hard but he gives alot of quizes and test, therefore if you have one bad test or quiz it does not affect your grade as much. he substitutes the final grade to your lowest test, also gives you extra credit. I'm saying if you shudy and do your homework you be okay. good teacher
Prof. Librun is an awesome teacher. He is really into math and moves quickly but is easy to follow. Anyone with a passion for math should have no trouble with his class. He prepares you well for the tests and quizzes. Algebra skills required! Anyone who left negative comments must not be good at math, I had no trouble keeping up with the material.
professor librun moves very quickly. You have to pay attention in class. Quizzes are straight from the notes and test are straight from the quizzes. Very straight foward and very comical. Im taking him for Calc 1 this summer. A+
Librun is a fast-paced teacher. Attendance is key, as is note-taking. What he teaches is what you will see on a quiz, and what's on a quiz will be on a test. The concepts are taught clearly, but he uses tough problems, so KNOWING the math is important. In short, take detailed notes and study them. The hwk is overkill in quantity, but it's extra.
His class is difficult only because he chooses to challenge his students. He is very interested in helping his students understand the math and gives clear notes. What is on the quiz is on a test and if he spends a lot of time on something you know its important. He also has a very easy personality.
OMG!! He keep the class interested so you won't fall asleep. He is not easy, but if you learn the stuff that he teach you. He will become easy to you. I took him for Summer, and I am more likely to take him again because that was the best teacher ever. He's grading is fair! If you don't understand, he would teach it to you. I Like HIM
Let me stress: You MUST show up to class. The quizzes and tests are almost entirely reiterations from his class notes, aka a few numbers get shuffled around here and there. While the textbook can tend to stray on wild tangents, his notes are exactly what you will need to succeed. Calc isn't easy, but he is a nice person and helps earnestly. Grade A
Mr.Librun is an excellent teacher. He does a great job breaking down difficult concepts. Study and its not hard to get an A. Do the homework bc its extra credit. Quizzes are just like the notes, tests are just like the quizzes, final exam is just like the tests. Great Teacher. I'm selling the bookwhich can be used for calc 1,2,& 3 (561)866-3977
STUDY THE NOTES, STUDY THE NOTES
I'm not a math person, but Professor Librun was very helpful. He reviews a lot. His quizzes and tests are very easy. It was my first time ever getting an A in a math class.
Professor Librun is a great teacher! I never would've thought that precalc would be my favorite class to go to for the semester. I'm not good at math, but easily got A's/B's on all the tests and mostly perfect scores on the quizes. Just copy the notes and study them and you'll do fine. Dont be afraid to ask a question, he is willing to help.
ATTENDANCE IS KEY!!!! He teaches in an understandable way starting with the very basics of each concept and working up to complex. He is extremely helpful, you just have to ask.
He's a decent professor. He basically just tells it like it is and helps those who don't get it. He's not really strict and he's smart and nice. I hear he's not great for higher math though (Calculus 3), but I know from experience he's fine for PreCalculus.
if yo are not a math person this class is not for you. he expects you to already know everything. does not spend too much time on any one topic. moves too fast when he teaches. you are never going to use the book in class, only for home work; which is extra credit at the end of the semester.
Moves fast, does not allow scratch paper, no official practice tests, no answer keys after tests to help in learning from mistakes, teaches mechanics and very little theory. I made As and Bs in previous math classes. Found his teaching style a disappointment.
I'm just gonna make it short and simple for everyone: Do not take him unless he is the only math teacher left and you have to take math right away. There are many more better professors.
College algebra: I love professor Librun I'm surprised there's so many bad comments about him. He was a great professor very straight forward and he deffinetly taught he gives about 6 examples for one concept. If you need help you cab ask him just pay attention and do the home work he treats us students like were in college. His accent wasn't heavy toe at all but that's just me all in all he was a great professor
cool guy very smart and helps out students tht come to class. fails u if u miss four days thou. quizes and test are similar to each other :)
If I could give him a zero, I would. Worst professor ever.
awesome teacher! he's very str8 forward about what he will test you on. i dont kno why there's so many neg comments about him. i think he's the best math teacher, im taking him again right now for calculus. you can only fail math if you don't apply yourself and practice. dont blame the teacher! i got an A in his class
took him for honor trig...was easy as pie...if you lazy DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS...his quizzes are from the notes, his tests are from the quizzes..WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT????...Would take him again for another class...easy A JUST DO THE WORK....
I must admit, his class is easy and there is absolutely no homework, plus easy quizzes and tests. BUT! I had the hardest time understanding him and did not enjoy the class at all. My friend that was taking the class with me had to explain things to me and go over all the work for the stuff I didn't know. Bad at math= bad teacher to take.
A lot of the class was a waste of time. Lets you out early every class, but doesn't do enough practice to really make the concepts stick. You have to spend a lot of time outside of class studying to memorize the formulas. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone who needs to go into higher level math.
He's a bit partial on his grading. If you pay attention in class, take good notes off his examples, and study a good amount. Not too bad. Just don't expect math to be amazing.
DO NOT take him!! WORST professor ever. He's not clear at all.
Im a transient student from UCF. no doubt one of the best math profs ive had. hes clear, will go over a problem multiple times if need be, is willing help you. you need to show you care. hes fair on his testing and scoring, gives you the problems ahead of times. great teacher. idk why people dont like him. not a good math student but i got a B
Terrible...No extra credit given. Grades extremely harsh. Whatever is wrong on your paper is right on someone elses. Even if you solve a problem the same way he did in class, it will still me marked wrong. Takes points off for no reason, and when you ask him why he took off a point, he doesnt know. What a nightmare!
he is such a wonderful professor. he teaches you the concepts which he put on the test. he is fun and very easy going. he is one of the best in pbsc. he is straight and clear. he breaks things down. he is amazing
Horrible teacher. Does not explain thing and expects you to know everything right away. He isn't very helpful either. He goes off on random rants that no one understand and has NOTHING to do with math. If you can take a different teacher. I am failing his class right now, as well as everyone else in his class.
College Algebra: I took this class with Librun as a junior in high school for dual enrollment & it was so easy. A lot of you with negative comments need to realize, its college not high school he does not need to give out practice tests and baby you with a million examples. If you are confused get a tutor or go to lower level math classes!
Its my 3 math class w/ him.Very funny guy he knows exactly what he is doing. he moves very fast unless u ask for help. He is helpfull u jjust have to ask. He rembers students name and grades are fair. you must study his note bc everything is on quizes and test
If you want to take the more than once, he is your professor. If you want to pass the first time, keep looking. He is rude and arrogant. Half of the class time he doesn't spend on math, but unimportant things like how "our generation" is lazy. Attendance is mandatory the first 2 weeks, and homework is extra credit. He gives quizzes and text a lot!
Had to drop to avoid ruining my 4.0gpa. He claims to cover what is on test but I highly recommend studying the book, notes not enough. Also, he put an unanswerable question on test two as well as a misprint question without extending time to take test. Needless to say I got my first test score ever below an A. After studying 30+ hrs per wk. No joke
Easy as hell. Quizzes and tests are JUST like the notes.
this teacher is awesome! i havent taken math in several years and he made it easy. he tells u what to expect on every test and quiz and HW isnt manitory but counts as extra credit. he talks too much sometimes about absolutely nothing, but he's good at teacher math and getting u to understand it
He was my first teacher in a college class, and I loved it, the material was easy and he explained it very well. The grades were very fair, no pop quizes or question that appeared out of no where, he's a funny guy and he actaully cares about the students and takes the time to get to know them and make class interesting.
At first I had a little tough time to get the math, however I learned to adapt to Prof. Librun's teaching. He is a great teacher, sense of humor and he makes math seem easy.... Litening and taking notes are key!!! Wish he was teaching Colleage Math next semester :( I would take him again!
Prof. Librun is awesome! Many people talk about how hard his classes are, but it's the math they have problems with and not the prof. He explains EVERYTHING on the board. You WILL NOT be tested on ANYTHING that he didn't put on the board at least once. TAKE NOTES and STUDY THEM, and if you will not fail! His test match the notes more than the book.
Professor Librun is tough, but he is a great professor. He has a good sense of humor and ends class early. People with strong math foundations will find his class very doable. Just study and take notes and you will be fine. My favorite math professor at PBSC. My only regret is that Calc3 is the only class I took him for
Professor LeBrun speaks clearly and concisely. His tests and quizzes are straightforward and never include material that was not adequately covered during the class. His demeanor communicates an infectious desire for knowledge and understanding, a love of learning and love of teaching. He has my highest regards.
If you like math and excel in it, take him. Prof Librun is a nice guy and very laid back, but he will not do much to walk you through the problems. He will give examples of what will be on tests but the problems are often twice as complicated. If you have trouble in math like I do then do all the extra credit homework he gives out. u will need it
Not a very good teacher. Does little to explain math concepts and then expects you to know them after going over one example. Doesn't care whether he teaches well or not as long as you get a D or higher. Doesn't give good help.
I didn't find Libun to be a very helpful teacher. He would move very quickly through chapters and expect you to know how to do problems after him only explaining one on the board. He was also hard to understand. I spent more time in the math lab then I did in the classroom, and I learned more there.
Professor Librun was great! he was extremely laid back. Just take the notes on the board and you will do fine. You barely need the book for anything. He gives you 2 quizzes before the test and the test is exactly the 2 quizzes put together. Super easy class
I love math so the class was not hard at all as far as curriculum. Librun goes fast but if you come to class and ask questions you will be fine. He gives you quizzes that are exactly like the test. I enjoyed his class. He had a good sense of humor.
I had him for Cal II and Cal III. Inconsistent with grading. Something marked off 5 points on your test might be marked off 2 points on someone elses with the same error. Doesnt use the book. He says everything that is going to be on the quizzes and tests will only be on the board, but consistently makes mistakes during his examples. Dont take
Librun's class was pretty easy. You never use the tectbook and you take all the notes on the board. He tells you exactly what's on the quizzes and tests so just take good notes and you'll do fine. Overall was a good class.
I actually enjoy coming to this class. He s a little hard to understand sometimes, but he gets the point across. He goes over everything on his quizzes and tests. His homework is collected at the end of the term as extra credit. I recommend him if you want an easy grade.
If you can hit the ground running this is the prof for you. Very fast paced and expects you to know intermediate level. If I would do it again I would not take him. Big difference in teachers who care and those that don't. He doesn't care. Only plus is there is no homework.
I've taken Librun for both algebra and pre-calc. I loved him, however math is something that comes easily to me.if youre a slow processor, do not take his class.try not to miss a day.tells you exactly whats on quizzes/tests/final.its best to sit in the front because he does have a mildly strong accent.he teaches very fast
He's been the best math teacher I've ever had.
He is a great teacher !!! Love taking his classes.
Like taking his classes. Easy quizzes, tests are little hard. Sometimes lets you leave early. Overall, awesome prof. must take!!
He goes very fast and expects you to know and keep up even if you dont know the material. Takes off for the smallest mistakes right or no on testss/quizzes. Always leaves early, dont have full class to take exams. I've had bad math teachers but he takes the cake.
Librun is a good profesor. I took him for Calc2 and Calc 3. I learn a lot from him. I strongly recommend you to take if possible. the only thing is you have to be a little fast because you may not have the whole class period to do your test.
Great Professor!!! He does expect you to know intermedia algebra, which you should know because the course is call College Algebra.
I think he believes he's teaching a speed math course not Calc 3. He mumbles & cant hear him and expects us to already know the material when we walk in. there is no rhyme or reason to his grading either, marks a student who got right answer wrong but someone who gets wrong answer is marked correct. Every class he was in some rush to leave.
Librun is a good professor. I cn undrstnd y he runed through the materials because we dnt hv muh time. As long as you take good note and u practice a lot,and u a fast test taker, u wil do gud in his class. He does nt give extra time to complete test or quizzes. Beware of that.
Goes very quickly through the lectures, and more often than not gives quizzes right after the lecture. He can be a bit vague, but he will answer a question if needed. Can be inconsistent with grading. His tests and quizzes can also be quite challenging, so make sure you study well. It's not impossible to get an A, but it certainly requires effort.
I had a difficult time understanding him. Heavy accent. He rushes through his lectures and often make gets off topic. He also makes kids in the class feel less than if they dont understand something. I would not take this class again!
this is the best math professor I have ever taken. He makes his lectures very easy compared to how difficult they could be. He gives you what will be on the quizzes and tells you what to study for the tests. Don't waste your money on the textbook, he teaches all the material in class that you will be tested on. Awesome professor, take him!
If you just redo the examples before the tests/quizzes to make sure you know how to do the problems you should be fine. Homework is unnecessary. Accurate Syllabus
This professor is very fair. This is my second time taking it. First time I took MGF 1106 Liberal Arts Math, I took it from a highly rated prof. I learned nothing. w/Prof. Librun he made sense and I retained. He made current event reference to math concepts. I highly recommend him. Study notes and do your homework. You'll be fine.
Had his class for MAT1033L... Completed his online homework with 100% average (Which he decided at the end of the semester that we weren't going to get a grade for) and handed in 9 out of 11 worksheets that we did in class...I received a D... DONT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!
If you have never studied for math you will! He explains everything clearly. Going over the notes the day before a quiz will most definately help. I would recommend him!
You're not gonna get a better math teacher. He gives you exactly what to expect on quizzes and tests.
I wasn't too sure about this class at first due to the fact that everyone says Precalc is difficult. Librun teaches fast and I was struggling at first, but switched my seat to the front of the class which helped. Precalc is actually easier than everyone says, and Librun is straight to the point, & his quizzes and tests are what he does on the board
If you are bad at math sit up front, participate in class, always attend class. He lets you know what is on tests and quizzes. He will do examples on the board when asked and answer questions. Very helpful !
He goes very quickly. You have to pay attention the entire class in order to have any idea what he's doing. It was very difficult for me, but it's a difficult course. He's a good teacher but if you're not good at math you will probably find his class hard.
This guy by far the best teacher I ever had, what I liked about him was that he did all the work on the board for you to see how is done. The previous semester I had College Algebra and this teacher was terrible because he presented the material on PowerPoint presentation. If your looking to learn math and also get a good grade take this teacher.
Prof. Librun is smart. He clearly demostrates the material, but the stuff he teaches in class is so easy compared to his tests. The tests were extremely challenging and he doesn't like it when you use scratch paper. Eight people from class dropped out. If you're good at math take him; if not, then find another professor.
I was terrible at math before this class, if it wasn't for Librun's class I would have never learned it. He makes math fun and interesting! Put in the effort and you'll get the grade you worked for! Very happy with the class and hands down best math professor ever! Tests and quizzes all have the examples that were done in class, study those!!
If Math is not your strong point don't take him. He Expects you to already know the material. He just rambles with the information and continues weather or not you understand. I would not recommend him
He is Haitian, and has a strong dialect, which can make him hard to understand once in a while. He joked about giving us extra credit in Calc 3, but never did. I really had to study a lot to get a good grade in his class.
If you actually want to learn the subject then this is the man. 4 tests 8 quizes. If you study the quizes then the test is fairly easy. Lab time was necessay for me, like many others stated you will get the grade you worked for. He does go through material quick and there is alot to cover. Gives HW but does not collect it. I would def take again!
Very difficult He really doesn't give much help, expects you to figure your grade out on your own. When asked if he could review tests or at least post an answer sheet he said no, doesnt help you learn from mistakes & is up to you to figure out what you did wrong. doesn't give homework all test grades and goes off on rants while lecturing a lot.
Very straightforward. 8 quizzes, 4 tests. Problems for quiz come from lecture, problems for tests come from quizzes. All it takes is practice. Text book not needed.
I do not recommend this teacher if you need to learn Algebra. He is very patronizing! His classrooms are not focused on learning but it's a showoff of how great HE knows math. And somehow you are in his class because you're a mathematician also! His lectures are just condescending. If you need to learn math, THIS IS NOT THE TEACHER FOR YOU!!
Professor Librun is a great professor. He gives good examples on the board and doesnt use silly powerpoints. He explains the major concepts and how the problems are applied to the concepts. Final is cumulative but he gives you everything you need to know. Quizzes come from the notes, and tests come from the quizzes. Pay basic attention and win.
Professor Witny is pretty chill guy who really loves what he does. There are NO pop quizzes, and you are always given everything that is on the quizzes and tests (no surprises). Witny thoroughly explainsanswers all questions and is a fair grader, but does have a strong Haitian accent, which some might find hard to understand. (HW is 30 points EC)
i would never write one of these things but i am for him because he was the easiest math teacher i have had probably since middle school. you had 8 quizzes 4 tests and a final. he would teach you the problems in class and then those exact problems (with different number) would be on your two quizzes and then those two quizzes made up your test
Everything is clear. Two quizzes and then an exam over those two quizzes. 8 quizzes , 4 exams and, and 1 final total. The quiz practice is what's on the quizzes, the quizzes are what's on the test, and he gives you practice problems for exactly what's on the final. If you keep up on studying and take advantage of points it will be an easy A.
Professor Librun is a rare teacher at Palm Beach State. He's really laid back but make sure everyone understand the material. There's a quiz almost every other class with chapter test to follow. He doesn't exactly follow a timeline but will warn you about test and quizzes.
I am horrible at math but I got an A in algebra with Librun! If you simply show up to class, take notes, & study your notes it is an easy A. He doesn't go by the book so don't buy it. Everything that he writes on the board will be on the quiz/test so there are no surprises! He just changes the #s to the questions. Best math professor ever!
He is one of the better math teachers I've had. He try's to make everything as clear and as easy as possible. Take notes during class and review before tests and you'll pass. You take two quizzes before every test. So in total you will take 8 quizzes and 4 test then final. You do not need a textbook for this class unless you want extra credit.
Librun should be a University Professor. Knows his stuff; is fundamental & truly a scholar. Seems like he's studied in the field...I think 25yrs he said. Anyway, he's tough and picky on tests, his teaching style is FAST paced but if you like math, he's not so bad. Really good teacher and explains very well. Not an easy A but definitely worth trying
This is definitely one of the better math teachers I've had in awhile. This was my second time taking College Algebra and I'm expecting to end up with a B which is good enough for me. He has a good amount of tests and quizzes but also drops your lowest test grade. He also offers extra credit. Recommend him over any other math teacher!
Awesome math teacher. Homework is not mandatory. Funny in lecture and easy to learn. Highly recommend.
Great teacher. Homework not mandatory. Gives clear explanations. Not a hard class. Highly recommend.
Took him for trig, calc1, and now going to for calc3. You know exactly what you are going to be tested on, no surprises. Does not waste a single minute of your time or his. Will answer whatever questions you have. Really exactly what u want in a math teacher. only thing that is annoying are the quizzes. classes would be better without.
Horrible teacher! This man gives quizzes and test every class. He goes way to fast, he refuses to help says he put everything on the board which he didn't. He wont answer questions. If you need help in math DONT TAKE HIM. in order to pass this class you need to be knowledgeable in the subject. WILL NEVER RECCOMEND HIM.
Really enjoyed the class I took with Whitney Librun. His homework is not mandatory to turn in, but you are expected to complete it. This means that on tests he doesn't take any bs excuses for bad grades. He makes class fun and informative. I would definitely take him again.
Librun is a really smart guy! i recommend doing the hw because it gives you some extra help. His lectures are fun and interactive and he's an ideal math teacher as long as you do what you're suppose too NOT an easy A you gotta put in the work, but definitely worth it. He gives two quizzes before each test and they're a big help! Totally recommend!
Prof. Librun is great! Here is how to pass his class with an A: Show up to class. Take good notes. Study your notes! Thats it! I've taken him for multiple math courses and will continue to through Calc progression. His quizzes and tests are almost directly from the notes, actually they're often the exact same problems! Easy A for me each semester.
Horrible! If you take him and are a beginner in algebra be prepared to do a lot of work outside of his class.. Meaning YouTube tutorials, math lab, study groups etc. he doesn't clarify problems. Gives wrong equations so when u go home to study the problems don't make sense. He's rude and doesn't give a crap about your success. Take Lauren Zatto!!
People people calm down. Just do the work, you'll pass
Show up, pay attention and you will pass. There are no surprises on exams, you are well prepared. People on here complaining are simply not putting in the time and effort needed to succeed. This is college, you will need to work in order to earn a good grade.
Do not take. Librun is very difficult to understand with his accent. Also grades on shown work regardless if your answer is correct. If you did not show every single step, he marks the whole question wrong. No homework to boost your grade, just test every other class which is all fill in the blank. Moves very quickly. Don't take.
Prof. Librun is one of the best professors. He knows his math and cuts to the chase. No games, gives it straight. No homework, some quizzes and 4 tests. the tests are just a combo of the quizzes.
The examples he provides during class are EXACTLY like the questions on the quiz, and the problems on the test are EXACTLY like the ones from the quizzes. Don't skip class, practice the equations from class a few times, and an A is very achievable. What's more, he gives up to 20 points extra credit if you do 1 or 2 brief presentations.
He doesn't have clear grading criteria and tends to take points off for minuscule details, though I have heard he bumps grades up at the ends of the semester. He has a bit of an accent which can make him difficult to understand. But he does a very good job of preparing you for tests.
DO NOT TAKE HIM He is very funny but that is all!! When it comes to teaching I don't think he is the best. we go off topic a lot during class and then rush to finish at the end. I am usually good in math but he made me second guess myself. if you have questions he will tell you to go to the math lab. the class is not boring but I would rather pass
If you go to class he gives you exactly what is on the quizzes each week and the tests are the same questions on the quiz. He gives you extra credit options. He has an accent but it isnt too difficult to understand. He is really personable and easily approachable. Go to class and you will pass.
Worst math teacher I've ever had! Super rude, inconsistent grader, marks question wrong even if the answer is right and you didn't show every detail of the work, can careless if you pass or fail and when you ask for help he tells you to go to the math lab. Always in a rush to leave class and never gives you the right amount of time to take tests!
He is overall a good professor. Make sure to pay attention during class and take good notes. Make note of what you had trouble with on the quizzes so as to be ready for test. Practically hands you everything you need for tests. Up to you to learn it.
The quizs are based on the notes and the tests are based on the quizs and specific problems he will tell you about. If you study and learn to do all the problems in the notes you should do fine. He moves extremely fast during class, so I recommend just concentrating on writing everything down. He does not collect homework and it is not worth doing.
He is one of the best math teachers you could have. He is very clear in his lectures and gives great easy understandable examples to every question he gives. Everything on his quizzes is exactly what will be on the test every time no surprises. He also bumps your grade up at the end of the semester if you really tried your best on everything.
Terrible Professor! He gives no homework to boost grades and gives quizzes every other class meet, and they're not very easy either. He also does the bare minimum to help students. When someone asks for help on something, he tells them to go to the math lab. Also, he sometimes makes rude remarks in class. Avoid this professor at all costs!!!
he is a very good teacher, quizzes and tests based 100% on classwork. He doesn't use the textbook. He goes very fast but explains everything very clear.
Great professor. Straight to the point and clear explanations. Good amount of homework, weekly quizzes, but if you practice and don't skip class, you will get an "A"
Knowledgeable math instructor and a balanced teaching style. Will retake for calc 3.
It's interesting that I made plenty of As and Bs in other math classes yet I couldn't do well in his class. I'm surprised he kept his job year after year at PBSC.
He is the best professor at PBSC Hand Down. If you are struggling in math, take him. You will definitely get an easy A. " Man I have lost my confidence After taking pre-call with a Bad teacher, and then a student referred him to me, so I took him for calc 1. then I end up getting an easy A. So I got my confidence back. take Librun if you want an A.
Professor Librun is a very knowledgeable professor. He was less lenient than other math professors I've had before him. This is not a bad thing, as it forced me to spend more time on the material and learn more. His lectures are generally good although there were a couple times he seemed to rush through it. Take good notes and study. You'll be fine
Probably one of the most difficult math courses I've taken. Gives no homework. Lectures are hard to follow. Tests are timed, lengthy and difficult, most students wouldn't finish the tests he gave and he would not adjust his grading to consider that. Tests heavily weigh on your grade and have little to weigh them out. No help is given.
Great professor. Explains everything. Cares about his students. He also has a good sense of humour. I only missed 1 class, and told him beforehand. He made sure I was not behind. This class was easy and math is not my forte. Feel like I have a much better grip on the subject. Definitely will take him again.
Nice funny professor. All of the test questions come from the notes he just sometimes changes the numbers. Which I would've caught onto that sooner but overall makes the course easy and enjoyable.
Great professor. Show up and take notes and you'll pass. No hw assignments, lots of quizzes and 4 exams. Some people end up dropping the class because he does not baby you and expects you to study the material on your own (there's no hw). In class problems are exactly what's on tests and quizzes. He's really funny and accessible. Highly recommend.
He rushes through everything. Takes up class talking about personal things which makes him rush. He is a hard grader. Its his way or nothing.
Hardest math class I've ever taken. Librun does the bare minimum as a teacher. He has no office hours. There is poor structure in his class. Grading criteria isnt clear or consistent. His notes are difficult to see; everyone faught over front seats. However, at the end of the semester i had a 69 and he bumped me up to a C, which was generous.
No homework for the frequent quizzes given almost every week, so you'll need to go heavy on studying you're notes. Pretty hilarious, but would not care if you were struggling with a D on every quiz and test. So you'd better be ready for every test and quiz cause that's the only grade your getting.
He's really bad. He goes really fast, speaks low, writes little, and just isn't the best at teaching. He tries to get class done with fast. There isn't enough time for quizzes or tests. I do not recommend taking him. Try taking somebody else.
He's hard but a pretty good teacher. It's hard at first, but it gets better. He tells about what will be on the quiz and test.
Your entire class is examples. No explanations as to the steps. You have to have a specific learning style to understand his class. He is also rude and tends to border on disrespectful when you ask too many questions or disagree with his philosophical tangents. He is very smart and I'm sure a good person, however, he is a TERRIBLE professor.
Don't skip class have a basic understanding of math and make sure you copy the problems he does in class as clearly as possible because the notes he gives are basically the tests and quizzes. Also, no mandatory hw but study your notes, test and quizzes are your only grades.
Professor refuses to allow Students to use MyMathLab. He also tries to make all Quizzes and Exams as difficult as possible. Much of the time he isn't even following the Text Book. He also tends to go off on tangents which have nothing to do with the Class.
Took Calc 2 the summer of 2012 with Professor Librun. It was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding classes I've ever taken. I'm now a math Ph.D. candidate, so I've taken quite a few math courses since then, and I can still say this is one of my favorite classes to date.
Ignore this professor at all costs. Class is based off of quizzes and tests only (you have one each week) He barely gives any examples during lecture and if you have a question he will make you feel stupid or tell you he doesn't have time to answer, yet he screws around most of the class time & cracks jokes (which sometimes are offensive). IGNORE!!
Professor Librun will give you many questions on quizzes and tests and not enough time to complete it. Unable to follow his class ...! Ill say he is a good person but not a good professor ... of math is not your forte please dont take him.
Attend class, copy and study the notes from class diligently. The examples from class are what is used for the test/quizzes. Calculus 2 is NOT easy with any professor, but he does not throw any "curve balls" he really tries to give detailed examples in class, so pay attention and take stellar notes.
First, if you think calc. 3 is easy/hard because of a professor you're fooling only yourself. This professor is very straight forward with his lectures that ARE the test questions. Take notes in class and study the examples he gives earnestly pass. You have to be willing to study your subject, its math not a humanities class.
Easy professor. I don't understand how you can fail his class. He tells you the same questions that are going to be on the quiz (different numbers but same steps) and the tests are exactly like the quizzes. Only way to fail is if u dont study. WRITE OUT EVRY STEP! he will take off points if u don't. I recommend taking him because he is so easy.
Librun is a very intelligent individual. You will pass his class as long as you pay attention in class. Tests and quizzes are straight forward. Make sure to take notes thus, the test consists on your notes and quizz.
Guy has a sense of humor, but he is awful. Always messes up grading, never responds to emails, and god forbid you put one wrong thing even if your answer is 100% right because he will take a ton of points off. This guy is the epitome of Im only here to get my check. He lost one of my quizzes which we turn in IN class and basically said oh well.
This. Professor. Is. The. Worst. PLEASE! Save yourself the agony. I'm generally good at math but he grades the tests and quizzes so harshly. Even if you get the answers right, but you don't show ALL the work, he takes off half points. He NEVER gives enough time to finish tests. My god why did I take this guy, worst Professor in history. RUNNNN!!!!!
Probably the best way ti teach calculus. He is straightforward and to the point. Shows exactly what will be on the quizzes and tests. Must go to class in order to understand, but overall easy just need to practice the math.
He is a good guy, however, he isn't a good professor. He grades the Tests and Quizzes very "harshly", even if your answer is right he will find something in your work and deduct crap ton of points for it, he won't reply to your email nor will he give you any advice when asked. You simply have to do the math exactly how he does it to get full credit
Super straight forward. He shows you how to do a few examples in class. He tells you which problems are on the test/quiz, no surprises, he just changes numbers. Calculus is learned through repetition. So you may have to practice redoing the lecture problems. I took him in summer, which was an intense short schedule. Test or quiz every Wednesday.
The only grades that you'll get for this class are tests and quizzes. His tests and quizzes are on the exact examples that he does in class, he just changes the numbers. You have to be pretty comfortable with math and memorization to get a good grade in this class, he doesn't explain the examples, just writes them on the board. No mandatory HMWK.
prof Librun is cool make sure you take notes in class and practice before tests and quizzes and you will be okay. Tests and quizzes are just like his practice sheets so practice and practice and you will pass.
Takes time in explaining material to make sure everyone gets it. Gives worksheets after a lesson that he works on with class and layout is same as quiz and tests. Easy class if you put in the work and practice.
Professor librun is the Dark souls of math
I had four friends take this professor and despise his teaching methods. He will not provide you any tools to help you outside of class. He consistently grades things incorrectly and does not provide HW at all for you to practice with - this is calculus.. IK we don't like homework but practice is important! You will only be graded off tests. AWFUL.
This man makes no sense with his testing. Firstly, he tried to make us take our tests outside of classtime for some reason! Then h announces when a test is going to be, but on the test day, he says that there is no test due to class begin cancelled the day before. But he didnt tell any of us that. He just assumed we would realize that! What a joke!
Professor Librun is straightforward and a great math professor. The subject isnt easy, but he explains it well. Tests are fair with material covered. This is my 2nd math class with Librun.
Do the homework(not graded), attend all of the lectures, and ask questions and you will get an A.
Most phenomenal professor I've ever met, hands down. Not only is he a great guy, but truly cares about his profession. NO TEXTBOOK REQUIRED. This man recites the entire lesson from memory. He really makes you enjoy Calculus and Math, in general. It is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve less than a B in this class. Don't pay any mind to those negative reviews.
Prof Librun was an amazing teacher for Calc 3. He teaches the material very well, but he does move very fast as he has a lot to cover. He likes to build friendships with his students and joke around with them. Tests make up the majority of your grade as well as some quizzes. Tests are EXACTLY like homework, but with different numbers. Loved him.
Professor Librun is a great guy but you have to get used to his teaching style. The only grades you have are tests and those come straight from his lessons, word for word with different numbers, you have to do it exactly his way or he will mark it wrong even if you have the right answer. Also dont bother emailing him he will never respond.
Took his class spring of 2020. Very rude. Im a very engaging student, so when I have ?s I have no issue constantly raising my hand. Talks a lot with other classmates about NOTHING. Once had a ? about a problem done on the board & he told me Im not going back. Shouldve paid closer attention. I wear classes, and he suggested I sit closer to see
Professor Librun is a very clear teacher. I took the online version of College Algebra and there was no homework required. I didn't even crack the textbook since he wrote on notebook and posted the notes later. He moves through the material quickly but is so clear that he rarely needs to go back. Such a great teacher and would highly recommend!
I took his class this year online and he barely taught us. He got mad that we weren't understanding the information and would not teach us.
VERY RUDE. and picky. You cant reach him outside of class. If you can pick another math teacher.
Professor Librun is a good guy, but he refused to follow the syllabus, not grading HW unless begged. I was absent for one class and he decided to bash me. Says that exams exactly like the homework, some questions are similar, but not all are. Taking MAT1033 ruined my PBSC GPA. I did not get the grade I deserved just to get the pre-req for CA.
Do not take him, all he does is give test, Lecture sucks, terrible teacher. He just expects you to know most everything.
Librun knows his material and his a very educated professor. However, I would recommend taking precalc before taking this class, because you need a background to really get an A. Likewise, your grade comes from 5 test, not multiple choice and only have 8-10 questions on the exams, so there isnt much of a buffer. You cant reach him & he goes quick
I would only recommend taking Librun if you already are familiar with trig, otherwise you will probably not do the best in this class. He does not answer emails and told us a day before the final what material would be on it. There is only Test grades no home work and test are written response, so you must know the material.
Professor Librun does NOT give out homework assignments. Practice tests are given to complete for extra credit, and your grade will be composed of five exams and one final. His lecture style gives plenty of examples for each module, if you speak up, he will ensure that you leave the class with an understanding of the subject. Also, he's hilarious.
This is the second class with Professor Librun and each time has been an ok experience. You will not succeed if: do not have the correct background or if you aren't used to the teaching style. When I emailed asking about a score he responded very rudely as if I was questioning his ability. I did not do that but explained I did not understand why.
not a bad teacher i just couldn't grasp what he saying half the time and I hate his corny jokes they be so random when I'm focused he starts. that's just my opinion he knows his stuff but the jokes bruh ion know. apart from that take him if you want big homie. he not as bad as those comments either he move fast and tell corny jokes but good teacher
doesn't accept any late work, even if you were absent that day and turned something in the next day. he just says "don't worry about it" and still gives you a 0 for it. he doesn't give a damn about your grade even if you have the work and knowledge to show for it.
Prof. Librun is a good but fast teacher. He is sometimes hard to understand, he will go off in the middle of teaching and tell random stories and it's mainly just distracting and gets kids unfocused. Lots of kids in my class struggle to understand what is going on. He does not go in-depth or explain the chapters thoroughly. I wouldn't recommend.
His lectures go over the problems that are exactly like the tests so just taking good notes helps. He gives extra credit which is also exactly like the test and the extra credit points get added onto the tests.
This teacher doesn't care to explain concepts and special cases throughout the course and anytime someone asks a question its basically "you should already know" It was an awful experience for someone who tested into college algebra and not haven taken any previous courses this I strongly recommend not taking this professor. STAY AWAY
Professor Librun is amazing. He was always willing to help students after class and always answered everyone's questions about the work. He gives about 5 tests for the entire semester with a practice test for extra credit before. He even tells you the questions to study for the final! He's fun and easy to understand. Come to class and take notes!
TAKE GOOD NOTES! If you take detailed notes, YOU WILL PASS! Professor Librun is hilarious and is one of my favorite professors I've had. Super laid back and willing to help whenever you need it. Practice tests are optional for extra credit, no homework. An easy A if and only if you pay attention and take notes. Don't be lazy!
goes really fast, if you do not take notes screwed. I am a horrible note taker so was hard for me to go back to what we've done in class,so I would always go on youtube to review what he did. THE BEST thing about taking his class is that he gave extra credit I would not take him again, he has a good humor and makes jokes but doesnt really care
For starters, If your work doesn't look like his on the exams, he thinks you used AI and will mark it wrong. The way he teaches is extremely confusing and his grading is complicated. He gives long problems with only a short amount of time. He doesn't give homework or extra credit so your grade relies on about 5 exams. Take literally anyone else.
Horrible. Do not take him. No homework, only exam grades. If you do not do his work like he does it, he will take points off and think you used an online calculator. We asked him for homework or extra credit during the semester so we could practice and bring our grades up, he was was not very moved and said he will see how we preform on the final
he was kind and has a very distinct teaching style. He likes what he likes. No homework, just tests, not monitored either just needs to be submitted before class ends. He only accepts work that looks exactly how we went over it in class or how he taught it or he claims it is AI and gives bad grade. Turn in work on time and pay attention...
Professor Librun is a hilarious and expressive math professor I had. But he is also teaches the material in a way that it will make a mark on your head and the material will be in your head. MAKE SURE TO WRITE NOTES. Taking notes in his class is by far the best way to succeed in his class. It helps with homework and studying A LOT
Professor Librun is hilarious and laid-back. With detailed note-taking, this class is an easy A. unstuckstudy ai also helped me ace the practice tests for extra credit.
Yea, no, I would not take this guy again. He teaches way too fast, and if you don't already know the topic, you will drown in this class. Best of luck, grab a tutor now. He gives homework about once a week and grades based on accuracy. Most of the stuff gone over in class you will end up teaching yourself on your own time.
Anyone giving less than 4 stars is lazy and coping, just study daily and pay attention, do practice problems daily and your study sessions will go from 2 hours to 30 minutes and it'll be fun. Also, he's a great and funny teacher
While he gives decent lectures (sometimes too fast), he is extremely strict/specific about how he wants work done on tests. If you learn a different way to solve something he WILL take points and accuse you of cheating w/ AI. Do students cheat? All the time. Does he blame/harm innocent students as a result? Absolutely. Deeply uncaring person.
No need to worry. It's his last semester teaching.
Think of the worst possible calculus 3 professor you could have. A guy that goes out of his way to
