Hands down the best TA I've had at Auburn! He really cares about his students and he was always more than willing to help. He starts teaching the anatomy lecture next semester and I will be taking him for AP2!
Super super helpful! Answers all your questions and clearly understands the content! He is one of the people I have connected with the most since starting at Auburn and made our Friday labs one of my favorites within the first two weeks! Taking him for AP2 right now and he is genuinely a blessing to Auburn! Makes the content digestible and fun! :))
Genuinely cares about his students and super personable and awesome! Take him if you can!
WONIL IS THE BEST! He wants to work with you and help you on the tests ad homework. Attendance is not mandatory but he will look at it if you need your grade curved, so go to class!
Favorite teacher at Auburn so far! If you can take him DO IT. He is the best and super super helpful. Gives extra credit, review sessions that he holds before the tests, and hints as to what will be on the test. He keeps you engaged during the lecture and actually wants you to learn the material.
The class material is not the easiest but if you go to class and pay attention then you will be fine. He does a good job describing the material in words that are understandable. There is extra credit if you attend class and do all the work. The only grades are quizzes and tests but if you study they are all multiple choice so it is not that bad.
Truly cares about the material and the class!
Wonil is the best teacher I have taken at Auburn yet. He really cares about his students as a whole and their grades. He is very accessible outside of class and digests the material during class so that it is easier for us to understand. Overall, take him for sure if you can!
Professor Choi is great! He makes A&P 2 very enjoyable and you can tell he really enjoys teaching and also cares for his students.
Wonil's lectures are super interesting and he clearly explains all of the material. His tests are super fair if you study what was talked about in class. While attendance is not mandatory, he gives extra credit occasionally for attending. Would highly recommend taking his class! Great professor!
One of the nicest professors I have had at Auburn. He truly does care for his students. Just come to class and try and you should do well! He also does have review sessions for exams if the time is available. I would definitely take his class again.
Wonil has been a consistently amazing professor for the entire semester i took for anatomy and physiology 2, I have never had a professor that cares as deeply for his students as he does. Study materials and class participation are engaging and rewarded, and if you follow his lectures and assignments you will be absolutely prepared for the exams.
Wonil is an amazing professor! His lecture engaging and make difficult information easier to understand, but he genuinely cares about his students. Attendance is not required but he sometimes give extra credit and he uses it as a metric for rounding grades. Exams are easy if you study the powerpoint slides. Highly recommend him if he is available!
This is the best teacher you could have for Anatomy. He was very straightforward on the test and takes attendance for bonus. He is entertaining and easy to listen to in class. I highly recommend him if you want to learn and do well in the Anatomy 2.
Very approachable and genuinely wanted us to succeed
Mr Choi Is probably the best professor I have had in my 4 years of auburn, he has always been nice and wants us to succeed and wants to see everyone with an A but know he has to make it challenging. lecture material is easy to follow but the exams are challenging, if you know the material you'll be fine.
One of the better professors I have had at Auburn. Very intelligent and is very good at explaining complexed concepts in a way the layperson can understand. He is willing to help as long as you are willing to put in the work. Very personable and funny as well. I usually struggle in lecture heavy courses but his was definitely manageable.
Professor Choi is one of the best teachers at Auburn, hands down. His lectures are straightforward and easy to understand, and he makes all of the lecture notes and other resources readily available. The exams are all based on material straight from his power points so as long as you put in the effort to study you should do well in the class.
Wonil is the best professor I have had at Auburn! He cares for his students and wants us to succeed in his class. His lectures are engaging and easy to follow; he is always willing to answer questions. His tests are fare and only cover material discussed in class. Anatomy at Auburn can be excessively hard, so take Wonil if you can.
Wonil Choi is seriously one of the best professors that I have had at Auburn so far. His lectures are super easy to follow and engaging, and he truly wants everyone to succeed. His energy is amazing and he literally makes attending an 8am lecture enjoyable (which I've never been able to say before). Overall, just a chill and funny guy.
FAVORITE PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! If you have a chance to take Wonil do it!! He literally is an amazing lecturer and breaks down information so well. Anatomy is a hard class but he makes it very clear and easy to understand. Tests are very fair and if you go to class and study a little you will be fine. TAKE HIM!!!!!
Wonil is the best professor I have had! He cares about his students and wants the best for them. The grades are quizzes, and three exams plus a final. He also hosts review sessions before every test. You still need to study because there is a lot of information, but if you put in the work you will do well.
Wonil is a great professor- I have taken anatomy before with other professors and have struggled to understand the material. Wonil does a great job of creating a simple overview of the material in a way that the material can be easily grasped. He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed.
I took another professor for A&P 1 and they were no where near as good as he is. He teaches you what you need to know to better prepare you for post grad and does not make you worry about the material that will not benefit you in the future. He actually cares about his students and offers many extra credit opportunities to make sure you succeed.
Best professor in the department... not only do you learn a lot but he's super helpful and wants everyone to do well in his class so if you put in some effort you'll make a good grade. Super interesting lectures made even the 8 am class worth coming to.
Wonil is by far one of my favorite professors I have had at auburn so far! He is very willing to work with students, and overall is very personable. He makes what seems to be a very challenging course from the outside into a very approachable class. I truly cannot recommend Wonil enough!
Professor Choi is one of the best professors I've had. His lectures are easy to follow and understand, and he makes it clear what you need to know for exams. Attendance isn't for a grade, but I would recommend showing up, and he also gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. You should definitely take his class if you get the chance!
He is a great professor because he made concepts that could be brushed over and hard very understandable through his teaching. He knows how to explain concepts to people learning something for the first time which is often hard from a professor because they have so much knowledge on the subject.
Really wants his students to succeed. Choi continued to help his students understand the material not just for the test but for the application to the future. He was clear about what he wanted us to know and also provided other materials to supplement our learning if we wanted it.
Best professor I've had! His lectures were very good, he explains things very well and makes things easy to understand. I feel like I have really learned all of the information. Tests are super reasonable. He makes them so that if you know and understand the information you will do well. He is a great proffessor and made the class very enjoyable.
Wonil is amazing! he cares and actually wants you to pass the class, he wants everyone to succeed unlike some professors who just want to weed you out, his lectures are powerpoint based and exams come directly from the Powerpoints so as long as you study you will do great.
He is honestly the best teacher I've had here at Auburn. He explains stuff in a way that makes it easy to understand and his tests are nice and straightforward. There are several required quizzes but you are able to take them at home with notes he made all of the homework optional but if you do it you can get some bonus to your grade.
Wonil Choi was a great teacher to have for anatomy 2. Really cares for his students and also realizes students have other classes as well. Great teacher I had a great time in his class.
Wonil is a great professor! He doesn't make the class unreasonably hard, but you do learn. He is a great teacher and even though attendance isn't mandatory, I recommend going because he does a great job. I recommend going to class and doing the assignments, because he takes that into consideration at the end of the semester when rounding grades!
Wonil is by far the best professor that I have had at Auburn University. He truly cares about each and every one of his students and makes Anatomy very manageable. Anatomy is not an easy class, but he does everything in his power to make it digestable. His tests are very fair and he gives many extra credit opportunities.
Wonil is one of the best professors I've taken at Auburn. His lectures are easy to follow and he is very easy to reach outside of class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he gives extra credit points in class sometimes. His exams are not necessarily easy but very doable if you study well. He also holds really helpful review sessions before exams.
Dr. Choi is easily one of the best professors that I have had at Auburn. He truly does care about your success as a student unlike most professors. He is funny and makes going to class enjoyable. He is very lenient when it comes to extra credit and bonus points. His class truly is "you get out of it what you put into it".
He's hilarious, offers so many opportunities to make the grade you want, and ACTUALLY cares if you understand the material. I would 100% recommend taking.
Wonil was probably the best professor I have ever had at Auburn. He made a very hard class a lot more digestible and easier to understand than a lot of other professors would. He also wants his students to do well and is willing to work with everyone in and outside of class. He hosted a ton of review sessions and offered bonus points in class!
Wonil was an amazing professor! He really does care about him students and makes sure we are all learning. He provides the class with so many resources to be successful. If you have to take BIOL2510 then I highly recommend Wonil! Attendance isn't mandatory but I always enjoyed going to his lectures, and he will occasionally give extra credit for it
Professor Choi is very good at making complex topics easy to understand in lecture, and overall is a very good lecturer. He made the class easy to follow, and tests covered the material he covered in class via powerpoint. Textbook assignments were optional but provided as extra study resources. There were a couple quizzes, but workload was light.
Professor Choi is the best Anatomy teacher at Auburn! You can tell he really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He's always willing to meet outside of class and offers a lot of extra credit. His lectures are clear and easy to understand and the exams come straight from the power points. Study the material well and you'll do fine!
Wonil made one of the hardest classes at Auburn much more manageable, he makes sure to explain difficult topics in a way that students will actually understand. Your grade is based on just the Exams and Canvas quizzes, but if you go to class and his review sessions you will be fine. Attendance isn't mandatory but is considered when rounding grades.
Mr. Choi is by far my favorite professor I've ever had at Auburn. He has made it so much fun to learn, and his class has not stressed me once. For the first time, I have actually enjoyed attending lectures! He also hosts his own study sessions prior to exams which are super helpful, and only tests you directly on the slides given. TAKE HIM!!!
A&P II is a difficult class but professor Choi makes it so manageable. He is so funny, and lectures are engaging. attendance isn't mandatory but he makes sure to reward students that come to class and put in the effort. He cares about all his students and makes sure everyone is well prepared if you can take him DO IT one of my fav classes at auburn
One of the best professors in Auburn. Lectures are straight to the point of what you need to know and is very similar to higher physiology classes. His lectures are also short but are very detailed and he doesn't waste your time putting unnecessary topics in his lectures. Offers tons of office hours if you are confused with anything in the class.
Great guy and professor. Exams are straight foward and if you show up to class you'll do well.
He's one of the best science professors I've had at auburn. His lectures are super interesting and he's pretty funny. He also gives hints about the exams during his lectures so getting to class is worth it. His exams are not crazy difficult, and if you study his powerpoints and provided notes you should have no problems
This is by far my favorite professor I've had at Auburn so far! I had him as a TA for A&P 1 lab and now as my professor for A&P 2. Very approachable and easygoing! He is encouraging and helpful when you struggle and celebrates your successes. Easy to work with for accommodation. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend taking him for any class!
I would absolutely take Mr. Choi if you need A&P 2!!! He has, BY FAR, been the best professor I have had at Auburn! His tests are all multiple-choice/true-false and are very easy to understand. The material on the tests is straight from the PowerPoint, which makes studying easier. He is also very funny and makes going to class worth it. TAKE HIM!!!
Wonil takes such a dense course like anatomy 2 and makes it interesting and presents the information in a way that is easy to comprehend. He is an amazing professor and person and truly wants his students to succeed. I am sad he doesn't teach other classes
Great professor. Attendance not mandatory but very helpful. Just pay attention study notes. There is only a little material that is very specific
Great teacher, easy to understand the lectures, easy to communicate with!
He is truly one of the best professors I've had! I have learned a lot in this class. He gives great lectures and also supplies additional notes. He gives optional Connect assignments that can help you! Wonil is genuinely such a caring and understandable prof. I honestly wish more of my professors were like him. I highly recommend taking him!
Easily the best person I have taken at Auburn! He cares so much about the students and our success. His lectures are easy to follow and he explains everything extremely well. His class is graded by exams, quizzes, and a final; but, there are extra assignments help you study, as well as a bunch of extra credit. His office hours are a big help!
Really great professor! Challenging subject but his lectures make it super easy.
He has been the absolute best professor! He really wants you to succeed and does everything in his power to help you. Great review sessions and notes available outside of class. Even an extra exam to replace your lowest grade. Lots of extra credit just for going to class. Highly recommended!!!
Take him! One the best science professors I have had in my 4 years at Auburn. More than fair with grading and even if this material does not come naturally this class is so doable! He truly cares and wants you to succeed which is refreshing for a science professor. This class made A&P II genuinely interesting and recommend to all!
Literally one of my favorite people ever and teachers at Auburn! Knows his stuff, can explain it really well, and happy to talk about anything! Super funny and makes class enjoyable even at 8am every morning. Also super chill if you walk into test day 35 minutes late (oops). Also be on time to class, lecture rarely lasts more than 30 minutes
One of the best professors at Auburn!! Class is not mandatory and neither are the assignments and his power points are easy to grasp and are where the test questions are directly pulled from. He is very good at lecturing without making it boring and is willing to give extra credit and answer questions with an understanding attitude.
An amazing teacher. Taught the material well and was very clear about what information was required to know for the exam. Quizzes are online and aren't difficult if you have read the lecture slides. All notes and slides are posted and available for you to use. Uses iclicker, but attendance counts as extra credit, so it is not mandatory.
I had him as my lab TA for Anatomy 1 and he was great so I decided to take him for A&P II. He is great, lectures are engaging, and he gives extra credit for attendance, his tests are very fair and mostly multiple choice or T/F he holds review sessions before every test and he genuinely cares for his students. Take him if you can!!
Amazing professor! He truly cares about his students and is very easy to talk. Very encouraging and engaging with his students. He teaches exactly what you need to know and is always willing to walk you through anything.
Great professor that truly cares about his students. His exams are easy but like any other class, you have to study and know the material to do well.
His class was extremely easy. He has chapter quizzes that are online. He posts all his slides and actually offers his own notes for each lecture to study from. He is extremely clear on what he expects you to know for the exam and offers plenty of material to study from. He is also extremely nice and seems to actually care about the students.
One of my favorite professors I've ever had! He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed! He provides you with everything you need to do well in his class, and the exams are very fair. Requires a lot of studying, but it's very doable! I would recommend him to anyone!
Wonil is by far the best science professor I've had over my 4 years at Auburn. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is a fantastic teacher and great at explaining complex topics. You know exactly what he expects of you and provides more than enough extra material to help you study. Would take him again in a heart beat.
I cannot say enough good things about Wonil! By far my favorite professor. He made A&P II so enjoyable to learn. He genuinely cares about his students and makes the material very clear. I'm actually quite sad the semester is ending because I love his class so much. 4 exams (4th is optional) & a cumulative final.
Highly recommend taking him for Anatomy 2 or any science really. He is one of the few professors I've had for a science course who genuinely cares about his students doing well. The exams are hard but he does not make them impossible like other Anatomy teachers would.
Dr. Choi was an amazing professor at Auburn, he was clear about what was gonna be on the test and was there to help his students at all times. attendance was not mandatory but its so beneficial to go to class, he also will give extra credit on some days if you were in class. His tests were paper and all multiple choice but they were easy.
Great professor! He really cares about his students and how they do in his class. He truly wants everyone to succeed. By far my favorite professor I've had at Auburn.
Wonil is a great professor who clearly cares a lot about his class. He was very clear what would be on exams, and he's a very friendly, understanding, and approachable guy who gives you every opportunity to succeed. Extra credit is awarded for going to class. He's easily the best anatomy professor at Auburn. Take him if you can!
Was in professors first ever time lecturing. He put a lot of effort into making sure we understood what he wanted to say, not just mindlessly speaking like most teachers.
For being a GTA, Wonil is a fantastic lecturer. He knows how to keep the class engaged while simultaneously teaching the proper material. His slides were never long and there were always concise. I would absolutely take Wonil as a professor again. Wishing nothing but the best for Wonil in the future!
Best anatomy professor I've ever had! He teaches the material in a way that we can actually understand instead of just memorizing for a test. If you take notes and study tests are easy. He is very understanding, explains everything clearly, gives extra credit, amazing study sessions, makes you laugh, & is always there to help anyone with anything.
He is the absolute best professor I have had at Auburn. I have learned so much in his class and have felt confident in my understanding of A&P. Wonil is incredibly caring and passionate about what he teaches. I wish I could have him as a teacher for every class. If you can you should take him :)
Wonil is an outstanding anatomy professor. Wonil is great if you like an engaging teaching style and genuine dedication to helping students succeed. Don't miss the opportunity to learn from Wonil! He is the BEST!
Class is not mandatory, but he does take into consideration who actually participates in class in case you ask him to consider bumping up your grade. Same with online homework. It is a lecture heavy class, but the exams are fairly easy and he even highlights things you should pay attention to. provides many opportunities for extra credit. AWESOME!!
I love Wonil!! He is an amazing teacher and really loves his students. Although the class is hard because of the information you have to know... he goes though it slow and asks questions. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit and he is overall amazing. I would 100000% take his class again!!
I love professor Choi! He is awesome and really cares about his students and making sure they understand the content. The tests are somewhat difficult, but the questions are all really fair and it is easy to get an A if you study!
Love Professor Choi! He is super understanding and gave the whole class the chance to get 10 extra points added to our first test. He's literally so sweet and his tests are only stuff that are on his slides so no crazy surprises.
Professor Choi is honestly an icon. He makes his lectures interesting to listen to and easy to follow. He really cares about our grades and us as people which makes it much easier to want to do well. I would 100% recommend taking his class if you have to take anatomy 2, you will end up doing better and actually learning the material.
He truly is the best. He explains the way things work so well and makes sure everyone is following along. If you participate he makes sure you succeed. He really cares about his students and I am so glad I was able to get him. This is not an "easy" class. If you put in effort you will do great.
Lectures are kept short and fun, even on Tuesday / Thursday classes. Exams require studying but are not super in depth with specific material, he keeps it to big ideas that connect one lecture with another. Keeps class interesting and a great professor. Explains things well with college students in a way they can understand.
Dr. Choi is a good professor for anatomy here at Auburn. By far the best option. The class is challenging, but he makes the information manageable to understand. He gives extra credit in class if you answer a question correctly. He wants his students to succeed. Study for exams in chunks, and do not wait until the last minute to study.
Amazing professor, gives study guides and practice questions for exams, and is very clear on what material is required, no time-consuming assignments. TAKE HIM!
Wonil was by far my favorite professor so far at my time at auburn. He is super helpful and clearly cares about his students. 100% recommend.
Professor Choi is one of the best teachers I've ever had the pleasure of learning under. His teaching is clear and concise while also having the ability to keep his students engaged during class. He encourages participation with extra credit and clearly loves what he's teaching, often including jokes and memes in the slideshows he teaches from.
By no means is he bad but I struggled actually learning anything in the class. My experience is that his class is lecture heavy, his slides are filled with way to much info to write down to keep up and he goes through them way to fast. He likes to joke around which just comes off as cringy when sometimes you just want the info.
This class is very memorization-based, so if you are more application-based this could be a hard class. It's a lot of material for each test, but it's never a surprise what is on the test. It is not a class where you can get away with the bare minimum, you will need to take time to study all the PowerPoints.
Dr. Choi is a great teacher, his content is an exact representation of his exams. He clearly cares about his student's success and the content he gives is much more manageable than prior science classes I've taken. To do well on his exams you need to know the lecture material front to back, the study guides aren't that helpful.
Dr. Choi is a very excellent professor, and wants all his students to succeed. His class is very lecture-heavy, but he emphasizes everything that will be major on the exam, and all exam content is taken directly from the ppts, which are posted online.
Dr. Choi is one of my favorite professors at Auburn. You can tell he really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He knows the info in this class can be kind of boring but he does his best to make it fun. If you go to class he will tell you exactly what you need to study and know for the exam. He is truly an amazing professor.
Wonil is the best professor I have ever had . He is funny, easy to listen to, and makes his tests directly from the lecture material. He gives clearly worded exams and sends out study guides prior to the exams.
He is the best professor! His lectures were always engaging, never too long or boring, and he explains things in a way that's easy to understand. He genuinely cares about his students, and I learned so much in this class. He also offers extra credit opportunities, and the exams were very fair. As long as you study, you'll do great!
He is the BEST professor I've ever had. I wish I could take him for all of my classes. His lectures aren't boring and he constantly gives extra credit in lectures. He posts lecture slides and tells you majority of what is super important during class and will tell you its on exam, study guides are so awesome too, he makes it SO enjoyable and easy.
Dr. Choi has been one of the best professors I have taken. He is very helpful and cares a lot about his students. He makes his lecture slides interesting and knows how to keep students engaged during class. He gives out extra credit opportunities for you to boost your grade. Tests come straight from his powerpoints and are all multiple choice.
Dr. Choi is an excellent professor. He makes his lectures interesting to listen to and the tests are straight from the lectures. If you go to class, he tells you what you need to know for the exams. Dr. Choi also provides study guides for the exams. He cares about each students grade in the class.
Dr. Choi is great! He's funny and makes the content engaging and as relatable as possible. Go to class and you will do well, as long as you do good on the quizzes. He offers extra credit for answering questions in class so be sure to do that!
Dr. Choi is the best!! He is very caring and wants everyone to succeed! He explains things in his lectures very well, and sometimes provides extra credit for participating in lectures. If you study the power points you will do well on the exam, the questions are very straightforward. I really enjoyed this class and would definitely take him again!
Wonil - fire fits, super knowledgeable, explains content thoroughly, offers bonus points Exams - fair, if prepared easy to take Obviously, it's A&P II, so you'll need to study outside of class, but Wonil makes the material 10x easier to navigate. If you take this course seriously, you can end with an A or a high B.
Wonil's course is hard concepts but he teaches it in a way that makes it so much more understandable. If you need help he makes it very easy to get in contact with him and he is more than happy to help! I did not even do as well as I wanted grade wise but I would absolutely take his class again because I feel like I know the stuff well.
Best prof at AU. Take Choi
By far the best bio professor I've had since being at Auburn. Very chill and laid back. Lectures are very clear/direct. He tells you what you need to focus on for exams. Was worried for A&P 2 but have had an easy time and way less stressful experience than A&P 1. Attend the lectures because some days he'll ask questions for bonus points :)
Choi is one of the best professors I have ever had. I have never had to study more than 2 days to do well on his tests. He gives study guides for each exam, which pretty much tell you what is on the exam. Overall, love him and would definitely take him again if I could.
He was the best professor I have had at Auburn by far. People say it is hard because it is memorization but if you just attend the lectures he highlights the important things you need for the test. He also makes his lectures captivating because he is hilarious and seems just like a cool dude. Highly recommend and would 100% take his class again.
Sincerely one of my favorite professors at Auburn University. He truly cares about all his students and always puts in effort for all his classes. His teaching is clear and easy to understand. The material in the class itself is a little difficult, but he manages to make it seem easy. He is also very silly and easy to talk too. I highly recommend.
I honestly feel bad that I found this class as boring as I did because I love Dr. Choi. He's actually hysterical and made learning about plants and animals just a little bit better. I did really struggle in this class, but that really wasn't his fault at all. If you have to take this course, I 100% recommend Dr. Choi.
Choi is a dawg.
Goat. Best prof Ive ever had. 1030 is such a boring class and he makes it so much better. He has clear grading expectations, and the exams are not that hard. Cant wait to take him for a&p
Dr. Choi is hands down the best professor I have had at Auburn. He is very compassionate and cares about your grade. He tries to make the difficult material as understandable as possible in lecture and is even better at breaking stuff down during office hours. I would take any class taught by Dr. Choi.
Choi has been my favorite professor at Auburn!! He explains everything in a way that makes sense and actually makes this class interesting. You can tell he cares about the success of his students and is passionate about anatomy. The tests are not bad. Sometimes he curves and will round grades up based on attendance. TAKE HIM! I would 10000% again
Would 100%
My favorite professor yet. Tons of extra credit and opportunities to succeed. Take this class!!!
Amazing dude
He is awesome. He cares about his students and has very organized lectures, which I can appreciate. Super chill guy, good sense of humor, I feel so much more prepared going into tests as compared to my last A&P class...
Such an easy class. He's so funny, and he does not care if you don't come to class. Posts lecture slides and provides plenty of extra credit. Best biology prof at Auburn
Truly one of the best professors I've had at Auburn. This was my second time taking the class and he has been a breath of fresh air for this course! A&P is hard, and you will need to go to class and take notes, but he makes the material easy to understand!
Literally do everything you can to take his class. Trust me on this.
After four semesters at Auburn I can confidently say Dr. Choi is the best professor at Auburn, especially in the STEM department. He is kind, caring, funny, and great at teaching. He wants everyone to succeed and is very accommodating. He gives study guides and emphasizes what is on exams. There is also extra credit opportunities. Seriouslythebest
Dr. Choi has been my favorite professor at Auburn so far! He is super engaging during lectures and always answers questions/explains things super well! He is always willing to help and wants his students to succeed!!
THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!!! you gotta take him. especially given the other options... Wonil is a dawg. take him
Dr. Choi has been one of my favorite teachers. His lectures are engaging and help break down the material into understandable parts and he really cares about his students. Take him if you can!
As long as you go to class and put in effort, you'll be fine. He was so amazing!!! I would so take him again if I could. He has a great way of explaining things in a real-world context so that it's easier to remember. I also feel like I genuinely learned a lot from his class. 10/10!!!
Dr. Choi was awesome. His teaching style is easy to follow, and he keeps the lectures interesting through jokes and funny yet relevant gifs and pictures. This class requires a good bit of studying, but that just goes with the nature of this course. I learned a lot in this class, and I definitely recommend taking Dr. Choi if you are able to.
This class was harder than I thought it was going to be, so I barely wound up with a B. A&P 2 is more physiology than anatomy so I struggled. Anyway, Dr. Choi is the best professor to take for this class because he is funny, kind and always offering to help! His fun facts/ gifs were what kept me going some days when it was hard to be there at 8am!
I actually love Dr. Choi with my whole heart. He really listens and cares for all of his students. He tells you in lecture exactly what you need to remember for the exams and he posts study guides to help before tests. All the information on the test is on the slides that he uploads so you don't need to go to class but he still makes class fun!
Dr. Choi is my favorite professor by far. He is such a great and kind teacher. His exams are based on his powerpoints which are very detailed and easy to understand. Basically, if you pay attention and review the slides, it is very easy to succeed in this class. He is someone who cares about his students and is passionate about what he does!
Choi is my absolute favorite professor! He truly cares for each of his students he is always open to talk about whatever you might need even with issues outside class. His exams are a little tough only due to amount of material but you get used to how he tests after the first exam. If you pay attention in class and study you'll do great, take Choi!
Dr. Choi is the best. Enjoyed his lectures the most out of any class at Auburn. I laughed out loud in class more times than I can count. And I actually learned from his course, not just memorizing stuff for a grade. He was a fair and sincere teacher. Take him!!!
He's the GOAT, take his class if you can!
He is a very caring and understanding professor. His tests are all lecture-based, with no textbook information. Offers a lot of support and flexibility.
Choi is the GOAT! if you get the chance to take him, you should do it. His lectures are very straightforward to understand, and you can get good exam grades if you start studying for them roughly a week before. 100% would take again.
He is the best professor I have had at Auburn. He is so caring and genuine and wants everyone to succeed. Material itself is pretty straight forward. He pulls his test questions straight from lecture PowerPoints, study those along with study guide and you will definitely do well.
I LOVE WONIL CHOI. Easily the best teacher I have had in my life. He genuinely wants us to do well and is very easy to reach. Lectures are easy to follow. He answers questions well. Some extra credit here and there. If I could, I would take Dr. Choi for every class.
Choi is by far the best option for anatomy. His lectures breakdown difficult content easily, making it make sense. Definitely study for exams, anatomy is still tough and content heavy. And look out for the did you know.. on the first page of every chapter because he'll throw one of those fun facts in each exam. But he really is so fun and caring.
Amazing class. Attendance and homework were only used to see if your grade would be rounded up at the end. Tests were super easy. Recommend going to lecture though as he would say what he was going to put on the test in class. Uploads the completed slides to Canvas week before exam. He made lectures fun to go to. Never used the full hour 15.
I had prof Choi for bio 1010. He was very cooperative and helpful. I would definitely take him again if I had the chance.
THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Actually cares about his students and it shows!! Looked forward to going to class!!!!
Very well respected teacher. I had a 60 overall before the second test, and gave greater insight on how to improve and study even if biology is not in your field. Gives tons of bonus points for showing up with TopHat and recap quizzes for extra points on tests. Would take him every chance that I get.
The year is only halfway over but schedules for next year open soon and y'all have to take him. He's truly the kindest, genuine, most caring professor I've ever had. He wants to be there to support you anyway he can, and truly advocates for his students success. Shows up to class everyday with a smile on his face and truly engages and supports you!
Great professor who is knowledgeable and understanding of this course not being relevant to most students as he took a survey. Makes boring content interesting with the way he presents it and has a passion for sharing. Very kind and always asks if students have any questions. Occasionally gives bonus for attendance and does not use the textbook.
The best! He wants his students to thrive. After our first exam didn't have the best class average he now makes study guides and removed the "select all" questions on the exams. Bonus Tophat if you're in class, not mandatory. The class is difficult because it's a lot of content but he does a good job at explaining and making it easy to understand
Easily the best professor I've ever had and will ever have. Cannot say enough good things about him and I hope he has a happy life forever and achieves every dream he's hoped of. I would easily take any class he'll ever offer. Amazing professor. 10/10.
My favorite professor I've had so far. He actually takes the grades from the tests and uses them as self-reflection on his teaching and adjusts his tests based on the previous test grade averages. He genuinely wants to see his students succeed.
Choi gave us multiple class talks throughout the semester simply about how much he cared about our wellbeing! I went to his office hours multiple times and he is EXTREMELY helpful and willing to work with you. He is everything you could possibly want in a professor, especially for a science!!
Genuinely my favorite professor I have taken at Auburn. I have taken him for both Anatomy and Physiology II and Organismal Biology. A&P II is a super difficult class no matter who you take, so leave plenty of time to study. Dr. Choi cares about his students and makes lectures so fun and engaging. I can't say enough good things about him!
The most kind and caring professor I've had in my 3 years at AU. He puts a lot of care into the lectures and is very accessible outside of class. We had multiple extra credit assignments that totaled at least a few %. Exams were a little tough... lots of memorization. Seems like a guy I'd wanna get a beer with. 100% take him if you can.
Professor Choi is a great professor. He takes his time to answer any questions and make sure you feel completely prepared. The content he covers in lectures is also very interesting. Can confidently say he has been one of my favorite professors so far.
He is the kindest professor here at AU. He was my first experience with a college-level biology course, and even though organismal biology requires a lot of memorization, he makes it as easy as he can for you. He is always there to answer your questions and responds extremely quickly, and does what he can to help you. Take him if you can!
Nobody on Auburn's campus that I could recommend more. Awesome guy, really interesting class, everything's great. Extra credit through top hat and occasional paragraph-long assignments that will make you apply things in class to real life (really cool and simple EC). Trying my hardest to get him for anatomy too.
Dr. Choi genuinely cares so much about his students. He gives tons of extra credit and always wants his tests to be fair and usually always makes a study guide. Anatomy is a hard class but if you study you will do good on the tests he never tries to trick you. Wants you to succeed and will do anything to help if you are struggling. Defs take him
He's seriously so awesome and genuinely cares about the students. He explains topics very well and I've understood everything he's taught. Highly recommend!!
TAKE DR CHOI!!! What an amazing man. How is he a doctor at 20 something? idk. He has amazing lectures and posts his slides. Attendance is not mandatory but he did extra credit on top hat if you did attend. He heavily emphasizes what you need to know for the tests. The tests are very simple, not very application based, mainly just memorization.
He is the only professor I have had throughout college that actually cares about his students and wants them to not only understand the material, but get a good grade in the class. I would go to war for him.
THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. He genuinely cares about his students inside and out of the classroom. Amazing at explaining material and is patient as can be. a 10/10 human being and a 10/10 teacher. I have never written a rate my professor for anyone, but I had to write one for him because thats how good he is.
He was so good! Very forgiving and understanding. Very clear on his lectures on what you need to know and gave us study guides. 10/10 recommend!
Friend that graduated from Auburn told me to take this guy, 10/10, favorite professor and I've never even spoke to him. He's super funny, makes his lessons and PowerPoints fun, and a great guy overall. Lenient and lots of extra credit, attendance isn't mandatory. Attractive guy.
Best professor I have had at Auburn! He is so caring, funny, and truly wants his students to succeed. When the first test was too hard, he allowed our lowest test grade to be dropped because he believed our poor performance was his fault. Has lots of bonus assignments that help your grade and wants to help you in office hours. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
10/10!!! He is the absolute best professor ever! Makes lectures so much fun and relatable!! So patient and understanding! AMAZING PROFESSOR!
Dr Choi, where do I even begin. For starters he is the most caring teacher you will ever take on Auburn; are you feeling sad? Talk to Dr Choi. You worried about your grade? Talk to Dr Choi. He is an excellent teacher, genuinely one of the smartest, kindest teachers you will take. I missed a quiz and he extended the date out of pure kindness. GOAT!!
Dr. Choi's class was super straightforward and he genuinely wants his students to succeed. He gives so much extra credit and his exams are exactly like his PowerPoints. He often asks for student feedback throughout the semester and makes adjustments where he sees fit. Definitely take him!
TAKE HIM! Genuinely cares about his students so much. The majority of the class did poorly on the first exam, and he dropped it because he felt bad. He gives a ton of opportunities for you to get extra credit; take advantage. This class will be hard not matter what but he breaks down so well!
I am not a science major and was hesitant to take a 1030 course, but Dr. Choi exceeded all expectations. He is the best professor I have had at Auburn, and he really wants to see his students succeed. His tests are the perfect level of difficulty, but doable. I have nothing bad to say about him. I want him to teach every class I have here.
Amazing. No notes.
GOAT!! makes anatomy interesting and he is SO understanding. If you put in the work he will help you make the grade you need to
if i could retake anatomy again and have choi, i would take it in a HEARTBEAT!! literally the best professor i have ever had at auburn, and i am currently a junior, which says a lot!! he made anatomy so interesting, and he actually breaks down the content!! cannot recommend him enough, and am gonna be sad when class ends. 1000/10 recommend him!!!!!
He slays fr. I'm not even kidding
I LOVE THIS MAN!!! If you want to have a good experience in a course, TAKE HIM. He is so kind, and he makes lectures enjoyable to be in. His tests are not hard if you paid attention in class.
I LOVE DR. CHOI!! He is the best professor I have ever had. Not only is he a wonderful lecturer, but he is so caring and truly loves his job. Anatomy is a tough subject, but he makes it very manageable, and he is willing to help you if you need it (and gives extra credit). I truly learned so much in his class. I cannot recommend him enough!!
Dr. Choi is my favorite professor at Auburn. Organismal Biology isn't always the most fun subject, but he makes his lecture slides super fun and interactive. If you listen in lecture, his tests are not difficult, and he gives extra credit opportunity! He is so caring and truly loves his students, I wish I could take him for every class!!! THE BEST
If the other 150+ five star reviews or the 99% didn't convince you enough to take his class, you should probably drop out.
The best professor I've ever had.
You already know he's good; org bio is a ton of memorization but he gives you a lot of methods and key things to remember during lecture. He's funny and cares about the students and wants them to pass. Due to a time conflict I walked into an exam late, but I had emailed him about it and he was totally willing to help me if I needed extra time.
I can't say anything here that hasn't already been said - Dr. Choi is a legend. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. As a non-science major, he made this class enjoyable and fun. Rarely do you come across a professor that seems to really, REALLY care. If you want to have an awesome class, take Dr. Choi!!
He is actually the GOAT. He cares so much about his students and gives a ton of extra credit opportunities to make sure anyone who puts in the effort will succeed. The class content is a lot to remember, but like other people have said here, his lectures are funny and helpful, so if you participate then you will do great.
Literally the best professor ever. The class itself is difficult but his lectures aren't hard to follow and he makes it enjoyable. He gives a ton of extra credit opportunities and is always willing to help you if you need it.
Such a king. Genuinely the kindest and most caring professor I've ever had. He is phenomenal, and I would recommend him to anyone.
Choi offered a lot of extra credit opportunities, but I still felt like his exams were much harder than they should have been for this level class. He was a very caring professor, and I would definitely take him again, but I think the effort that I put into this class should have put me at an A.
Even though I did not perform as well as I would've liked in this class, I still want to acknowledge what an amazing job Professor Choi did. So many extra credit opportunities and the tests were fairly easy as long as you study! One of the best teachers in the science department, here at Auburn.
Dr. Choi is the best!
AMAZING professor! Best I have ever had! He is so kind and caring of his students. He is very understanding and helpful if you are struggling. His lectures are so well explained. He humbly admits when the students grades are due to anything he did wrong and apologizes and makes sure he is fair.
Best anatomy prof at Auburn. Cares about students' grades and helps when he can. You get bonus points for going to class. His final is the week before finals week, and it is non-cumulative. Go to class and pay attention to lectures because anatomy is hard, but he explains it in a way that makes it easier. Would love to take him again.
Best professor ever!!! He is super nice and understanding. He cares so much about his students, and he really tries to make learning fun. He encourages students to come to his office hours and ask him questions. He posts all his lecture slides, and all the info on them is exactly what will show up on the exams. Greatest dude ever
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Please take him if you can; he truly cares about all of his students and wants you to succeed! The material for this course is challenging, but if you attend class and pay attention, you will earn a B or A with 100% certainty. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN.
Dr. Choi is a great guy and even better professor. The lectures aren't mandatory but I found attending super helpful.
