He is very friendly, understanding, laid back and reasonable. He was always welcome to what we students had to say. Very fun teacher! He very passionate about what he teaches. I very much enjoyed his class and would definately take a class taught by him again!!!!! =)

Ok, so I love Woody Moses with a great and burning passion. Take this class because it rocks and so does he. You seriously will want to treat the environment so much better and just realize how your actions affect everything else. plus, you will have a hot teacher to look at. i don't know what it is. but something about him, i can't quite figure out, everything he does is beautiful, everything he does is right.

AWESOME TEACHER!! I was dreading taking a bio class, but his class ended up being my favorite. He's enthusiastic, loves what he does, and I learned SO much. Definitely take his class!

He teackes in a easy way and the tests are pretty easy. The labs are very easy and he is willing to give points as long as you hand it everything on time. Put a little bit of effort and you'll get 4.0

The class was easy. I pulled a 4.0 without having to study much. He's very organized and very straight-forward as to what he expects from you. Hand in everything, show up for quizzes and exams, and you'll ace the class. He played favorites, though... and it was annoying.

Take Mr. Moses, he made this fun and easy class. Tests are very easy, if you study. Also, ready the book! And attend the class everyday!

I hate how he tests. He only gives us an hour for each exam even though the period is 2 hours. He let us use a notecard, but they were essay exams (hard). For the lab practical, he only gave us 2 min per question and actually stood there with a stopwatch in his hand! That was ridiculous. He is a good lecturer, and fair on grades though.

He is an amazing lecturer!!!! Makes everything interesting test are a little tough on the conceptual side though!

Excellent instructor. He made the subject very interesting and easy to understand. I went into the class with a vague knowledge and interest in environmental science, and came out of it wanting to study it further. Fair grader, with clearly defined expectations for work and tests. If you attend class, take notes and do your work, you'll be fine.

I took environmental science from him, and would reccommend him and this class to anyone. He's a great teacher, and makes learning fun.

I loved Woody, he makes you earn your grade and really know your stuff, tests are a little hard but the key is study for tests and quizs. go to class everyday. Don't be afraid to ask questions. overall he is straight forward with what he wants and very organized.

He is the BEST science teacher. Everything is uderstandable. Tests and quizzez are very fair over class discussions. To get a A all you have to do is come to class, turn in all work on time, do all the extra credit, and most important study for the quizzez and test. He lets you use a ote card for the test!

Based on few comments above, his teaching is going to influence you to change your lifestyle. This is the first class that I felt like time passed so fast. Hard? Yes, he is. And it is GOOD. As long as you pay attention in class and take notes, you will get out of class with a B+ or higher. If you want to learn, he is one good candidate

Incredible. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Woody DO IT. Environmental Science is the best class I've taken at HCC in my 2 years. Homework isn't awful, you go on 2 field trips, and you learn things that will affect the rest of your life. Stop debating over classes and take one by Woody! You won't regret it!

Woody is an awesome professor! I would highly suggest taking a class from him. Although he can be intimidating sometimes, you can create a strong student-teacher relationship if you work hard and are proactive. He has a dry sense of humor and knows what he's talking about.

Professor Woody is good. all the quizes are based on the notes and ppts. the midterm and final are kind of hard tough, they aren't trick questions. besides,he is willing to talk with students not only about class but also if you have a lot of concerns. he told me how to study effectively and ecourage me a lot!

OMGAWD! I LOVED WOODY! He's such a good teacher,and he really engages his students and answers all their questions. Marine Biology was the funnest class I've ever taken at Highline. He's flexible with due dates,and he's an easy grader. He gives a fair amount of homework but also a lot of time to complete assignments, Take him you won't regret it!

Woody is my FAVORITE teacher. Take his class. Yes you have to study a little but you will learn a lot of really great information. I enjoyed all of the labs, lectures, field trips and the homework wasn't bad. He does grade your science journal so take good observations and lab notes. If you are an average-good student you should get at least a 3.0+

I love Woody!! He is so entertaining and most importantly knowledgable! Ask him about the circle of life. In this class we got to grow plants in the greenhouse and conduct an experiment. I learnded a lot about dirt, ecosystems, biology, and plants. If you need to take a science class and want interaction without the brutality of chemistry or micro then take this class.

Woody is a great teacher he is straightforward and gives two extra credit opportunities. There are weekly quizzes to do but he does drop the lowest quiz grade so its all good. Class was pretty easy as long as you read the lectures he posts, TAKE HIS CLASS, YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

He's cool,take him! He makes the 1h 50min. class fun and not seem long because his lectures are very interesting & the topics he teaches are relevant. Assignments aren't too hard & the time he gives us to do them are reasonable. Quizzes are about what you learned that week which should be easy because he teaches in a way that's easy to understand.

Woody makes lectures really interesting. He's hilarious and super helpful plus there is no cumulative final! Out of all the Bio classes in the series I received the best grade in his class. I definitely recommend Woody HE IS AWESOME

The course load is pretty light. They are a few assignments here and there that all mainly have to do with the group presentation that students have to give at the end of the quarter(15 min).There are quizzes every monday worth 30 point and are super easy if you study. Also the only tests you take are the midterm and final which is non-cumulative.

This is for international students. I took his class before and i wan tot say he is one of the best teacher at Highline. I was really weak for science so always struggled and confused. But his lecture was clear and easy to understand, tests was not tough if you study enough. Best thing for me was he listened us carefully and gives us amazing reply.

I loved Woody! Everything was very clear. His lectures were fun and he made the subject interesting. The tests are very easy as long as you do the reading and watch the lectures. I loved his discussion questions. The topic is really interesting. He does make you write a term paper but he breaks it up so you write it through the quarter. Great dude

This is the second class I've taken with Woody and I've had so much fun. I hate biology but this class was fun and interesting. You do have to do a group project but it isn't too bad. Quizzes every Monday but they aren't hard at all if you study a little bit. He is a great teacher and really cares about his students.

Mr. Moses was a great teacher, he is really easy going and understanding. The class was fairly easy, he has recorded lectures and power points each week as week as discussion. There is a 10 page term paper. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. I really enjoyed this class and learned a ton, I would recommend this class.

I never had a better teacher. He makes you be Environmentalist like him. He is very resourceful. He invites you to events for extra credit and he is precise like an anesthesiologist when grading. You will not earn 0,5 points more or less then you deserve. He is amazing and wild human. He is pro future. Be prepared for workout and humor.

Woody is the best professor I have ever taken at Highline. This was a 2 hour class that went faster then my 1 hour class. His class is mostly based on lectures, but all the notes are posted on canvas on which the quizzes are based on. You will need to study the word definitions for the quizzes which will be on the final and midterm.

I chose Woody from due to his ratings and I can honestly say they hold true. He knows how to keep your attention for a two hour class. Weekly quizzes were a breeze if you took good notes and study the night before. Great sense of humor and super easy grader with assignments. Final is a group project worth 220 points, pick a good topic!

This class is an easy A. I did the entire weeks worth of work in one day, every week. The only thing that required any effort was a 10 pages research paper at the end of the quarter. other than that, an easy A.

You can really tell Woody is very passionate about Biology and he's one of the teacher's you meet in high school where you can vibe with but more smarter and cooler. I highly suggest you take this class

Prof Moses is amazing! He does a weekly discussion board + replies and a weekly quiz. Discussions are easy 25 points. Look over lecture notes, the quiz answers are all there! Midterm should be an easy A. There is a final term paper but you work throughout the quarter, so it will only hurt you if you procrastinate. Great feedback- highly recommend!

Woody's lectures were engaging and the topics were covered in depth. I wish his study guides for exams were more detailed than being just a list of topics covered. Would definitely recommend going over the lecture notes and doing the extra credit (20 points max). It really helps!

Fun guy and overall fun class. Has journal checks every now and then. Checks for lots of things including a 50 species list that needs adequate drawings. Lax and gives extensions often.

Professor Moses is my favorite professor I've taken at Highline. He really knows his stuff and gives engaging and helpful but still entertaining lectures. His class style is not super structured and you are graded on a few things without a lot of "homework" assignments, which I personally liked. The exams are reasonable and he is really friendly.

Amazing professor, I took him for Environmental Science, and it was an experience that had to be the most fun I have had at Highline, he starts to sing about the circle of life and makes learning fun and easy to learn on his humor and interest in the topics he discusses in class.

Woody Moses is a great teacher! Just do the readings and study for tests!!! Lab days are fun and also mandatory. He is also very funny and can make lectures exciting, which is a plus. This course is not easy, but you should be fine by studying and working hard.

For the most part, he's your standard bio teacher but you can really tell that he cares about the students. I would recommend this science lab class if you need the credit for all the nonstem majors. Pretty laid back and approachable :]

Moses is a fine bio instructor, but a wonderful professor. You must work to learn the content. Moses teaches exactly how to succeed in his class (and he makes it easy) AND college. He doesn't just teach biology, but how to do well in college. There is a midterm and final, he allows a 9x5 notecard, study and you'll do great, promise! 100% recommend.

Very interesting fun lectures and great professor overall

I enjoyed Moses's online class overall. I found it to be fairly easy, though there was a significant amount of work. One downside was that a low quiz grade could really impact your overall score. However, I appreciated his lectures and learned a lot. He was responsive to questions and graded fairly.

I would for sure take this class again, the professor is very good with the late work assignments, no joke make sure you show up to class.

Mr. Woody is a teacher who makes the class entertaining, explains things very well, and always gives appropriate feedback. I really enjoyed his oceanography class and I would definitely like to take classes with him again.
