Awesome teacher, awesome class! Loved going to this class, never dreaded it! If you go and do the work and put in at least a little bit of studying it is an easy A. Dr. Call has a private practice and although he doesnt' talk about specific patients and their issues he does bring some interesting application storied to class. An A++ teacher!

It's just a lot of reading. But if you go to class, you should do well.

Much cooler than most of the psychos that teach Psychology. he tells alot of good stories that give the class some variety. I had him over the summer and he would give us the actual test the day before the test if we had perfect attendance for that week. Easiest A ive ever had. You cant go wrong with Dr. Call.

Probably one of the better teachers I will have in this life. You have to appreciate the way he teaches you what different aspects of psychology there are and then clearly defines the difference between those beliefs and his own without bluring the lines in bias. Definately recommend him.

I took a Psychology of Religion class with Dr. Call. It was awesome. One of the best clases I ever took, and he is a great instructor, gets you to think and interact with your opinion. Great instructor, Great class.

Extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and also has PERSONAL experience in his field. He not only is a professor but also a practicing clinician and also two of his younger sons sufffer from Autism. He knows his stuff, and not just from textbooks. He has many great stories about crazy experiences. Attendance a MUST & don't talk with your neighbor!

Easiest class ever. class is out of 425pts & offers 60pt in x-credit. i went to class fell asleep for an hour, didnt own the book and got a B. before the test he gives a review guide which is EXACTLY like the test. answers come from lecture which are posted on the internet. only bad thing after 2 abs. he will drop you. MUST ATTEND.

Dr Call made subtle racially biased comments throughout the class for which I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now I find out that he was asked to step down as Chairman because of racially charged information he distributed to the MCC faculty.

Dr. Call made class really fun with his real-life stories of crazy patients he's had. Although his test are not easy, he makes it up by letting you redo one of the tests and the final was a take-home test. Easy A

Dr. call was awesome. Very clear and easy to understand. His psych 101 class was pretty much just lectures, 5 tests, and some labs. His assignments make the tests a lot easier. He always made me laugh and I would recommend him to anyone.

Best class I have ever had! Got +A with very little effort and learned a lot just by his lectures.

Best summer class ever. It was setup perfectly and wasn't overwhelming. He gives a practice test beginning of each week that is the test. Lab is easy. Also gives a lot of extra cred, all pretty simple. No projects, no essays. Only 5 tests. Lectures are interesting, even fun. 2 hours flew by. And even though it was easy, I still learned a lot.

Looking at the comment before, I have to disagree. We had so much to cover that I was always learning something everyday. But I took him for SUMMER. Easy tests, no HW except for labs. You only need to go into lab for an hour each week. Dreaded taking PSY101 over summer but ended up liking it. Maybe not for fall or spring, but TAKE HIM FOR SUMMER.

Very good teacher and pretty easy. Just make sure you do the practice tests and know all the answers, its the same test for the actual test. He lectures a lot but does really good. He does have a sense of humor. Only 1 homework per chapter & NO final. And you get plenty of options for extra credit.

He is a nice instructor. Uses Power Points in class, hates it when ppl are on the cell phones, or using their labtops for playing. Gives out practice test, #3 test is word for word in order. If study the practice test will do good. No "actual" HM. Go to the PIRC center during the start of new section and do the paper work. Easy Extra Credit.

He's a nice guy and knows his stuff. But he leaves a lot to be desired. The class is so easy it's almost frustrating and he doesn't provide note taking opportunities. The cynic in me wonders if he gives out the practice tests to keep up his quota of passing grades. Without them I doubt he would fare quite as well!

I love Dr. Call!! He made PSY101 so interesting! All of his experience and stories make him credible. Only one easy wksht due for each test, offers a TON of extra credit. Tests are simple since he gives practice tests with the same questions. You would have to be fool to NOT take him. And an even bigger fool if you failed. So easy, and awesome!

Extremely funny teacher, he gives out a lot of great stories and videos for class to see, attendance is required if you want to pass, the tests are easy, almost identical to the study guides, just read the book and your're set, and he gives out a lot of extra credit, there is no reason to fail this class, unless you missed out on class 5 times.

Mr Call is a great teacher, his lectures kept my attention. Warning after three classes of absent, he drops you, and Don't text in his class, he will make you leave! Otherwise, the class is informational and quite easy, he gives you practice tests which are the same as the real tests.

Dr. Call is a great professor. He does only read from slides but he fills the time with personal stories as well. He HATES cell phones so don't pull it out. There are five tests throughout the semester. A week before the test he passes out a study guide that is the exact questions on the test so there's really no way to fail or even not get an A.

The class is extremely easy! his practice test are exactly the same as the test (so just do it). His videos quiz are easy and you can take it as many times as you want until you pass. Very easy class as long as you do the study guides and look over it before tests. The same questions on the study guide are on the test. So, he forces you to actually study and learn outside his amazing lectures. If you put in the work (2-3hours) before each of his five tests it's an easy A.

While the tests may be 80 questions, he gives you a study packet that lists exactly what the test will be. His lectures are interesting and he's a smart and fun guy. He isn't SUPER strict about attendance as long as you participate and ask questions when you're there, but he does drop people that don't show up.

I took Dr. Call for a second psychology course because I loved his teaching style. Dr. Call makes psychology a lot of fun, and makes his classes super easy to earn an A, with a little studying and participation. I found Dr. Call to be helpful, fun, and motivating. Dr. Call is great, you can pass very easily if you just do the reading (and this is true in all of his classes, I also took a psych of religion and I could see with a 30pt difference when I didn't read everything). There's nothing tricky he just wants you to follow basic instuctions. lectures are broken up well with funny stories.

This was a very easy class, all you have to do is know the study guide and you'll pass with an A. If you need credits and don't care too much about psychology, take this class. If you are a PSY major, I wouldn't recommend it. Too easy, didn't learn much.

The problem with a majority of 101 classes is that there is so much information that it can feel like you didn't end up really learning anything. This is definitely one of those classes. However, Dr. Call provided a study key exam -- same questions, in the same order. As long as you do everything he asks, you can pass with a decent grade.

Gives study guides which are the exact same as the tests, so if you answer the questions on the packets and memorize the answers, you will get an A on the tests and even better in the class. There are 5 tests in total. He offers a whole lot of extra credit. You get 3 weeks to do the psychsim which are EASY.

Dr. Call is an Amazing teacher, he is so involved in the campus. If you need anything all you have to do is reach out to him he is there for you, he really cares. This class is one of the best Psychology classes taught at MCC.

He gives study guides that are very close to the tests you will take. There is a lot of reading so be prepared to buy the textbook. He will drop you if you miss a certain amount of days so make sure to go to class. Homework is easy.

Keep in mind this is PSY 101 so its an easy class. He gave extra credit and the practice tests were nearly identical to the actual one. The class conversations and discussions were fun. He is a very nice and respectful teacher that the class loved. The study guide can be confusing with multiple right answers but all in all its an easy fun class.

Dr. Calls class was mostly lecture based. I thought the class was super interesting. The fact that Dr. Call also had his own practice for many years means he has some pretty cool stories. When it comes time for the study guide you will need your book to do that. Show up, Do the study guide and study, and you will get an A!

This class is incredible, he uses PowerPoints in all his lectures and give you a copy with line next to for any notes. He is strict of attendance and will drop you after a certain amount of days absent. However, is willing to speak and negotiate. He will give you a study guide with practically the same test on it. Trust me this class is worth it.(:

Class is based off of powerpoint lectures which can be boring at times. He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching, and is glad to answer any questions. Does not tolerate electronic use, and is strict on attendance. Other than that just show up, do your study guide ;), and you will get an A in this class guaranteed.

Dr. Call is a very knowledgeable and caring man, who is very easy to talk to. Gives good, interesting lectures and is willing to explain stuff more succinctly after class. He is always willing to talk to students. I am really glad I took him, as he was a great intro to psychology.

Dr. Call is a great professor. His lecture are inspirational and he tells many patient stories (anonymous). One can tell Dr. Call is experienced and enjoys teaching. There are many possibilities of extra credit AND he hands out a study guide that contains exactly the questions for the test. The PIRC will give all the answers for the test!

Pretty much just do the study guide and you'll pass the class with an A. After all all the answers can be found online and the study guide is your exam.

Call presents mostly slideshows but he prints out every slide for you so u can actually engage in the lesson. Lots of extra credit. study guides are VERY similar to test. I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Call is knowledgeable and experienced in both psychology and teaching as well. He makes it all super easy and interesting. You're allowed three absences, but you won't want to miss class. He's super strict on cell phones so be prepared to put it away.

I took intro to psych and abnormal psych with Call. To be honest, I was never captivated in the 101 class (mainly because I was starting my psych journey) but abnormal was my favorite and he is so sweet. I swear his rating should be 5/5. The study guides are a duplicate of the exam and he goes over answers that you may not be sure of in class.

I am a psych major which means my opinion may not be what you're looking for. I would email him almost weekly spit balling ideas or research inquiries and he was very respectful in his responses. He wants his students to succeed and his criteria for his class is laid out well. You will pass if you do the work! I highly recommend!
