Not a hard guy to learn from if you read the chapter before he lectures. Every test was multiple choice with simple questions, very easy to get an A with moderate effort.

Very good teacher, just read the ch. before the test and you'll be fine. Make sure not to miss any classes, takes points away. As least a C for anyone who shows for class and tries on the tests and quizes.

Dr song is a very interesting teacher...if your eager to learn about business in general take him, if your a smoky slacker, haha DONT! i got an A and I havent even taken the final test yet...be smart and take advantage of his knowledge, even if he does have an accent, I can still understand him because Im not an idiot

Covers a lot of material in class. Best to read the chapters before class and don't try to take too many notes. Show up and pay attention and you should do ok. Has an accent but it's not too bad. 1st class mandatory!!!

so easy i took him 2x for econ 120 AND 121. no hmwk. just study its al basic and common sense. i hate to study and I pulled out w/ A's in both. hes funny but sometimes hard to understand (accent) but that didnt really affect the class. super nice guy

A nice professor. Doesn't accept late work so you are forewarned. I have a B and I haven't even taken the final yet. If you don't like his accent then you should ask yourself why most Americans are too stupid to teach math and science related courses to their own children and have to hire people from overseas do it. More beer and weed anyone?

Somewhat difficult but the class itself isn't easy, his test are medium/hard difficulty, but he let us drop our lowest test score. In the online class he gave a 5 question quiz and a discussion posting every week which was tedious. If you have concerns about his accent I recommend taking him online, he has very good command over written English.

I took his class online in the Spring. The quizes and tests were more difficult than Econ 120, but he's fair. He gives you three tests and only takes the top two. He also takes your top 10 discussion grades out of about 15. If you're worried about the Language barrier that the others are talking about, take his course online. Prepare to study.

I took Econ 121 with him. He is very fair and very generous with points. If he likes your class than he will curve the scale down real low. I had a 69% and got a B. If you like your grade, you don't have to take the final. If you go to class everyday, you get 11 extra credit points. He makes class enjoyable and he is very funny.

Online class, early start and only 4 weeks. Had a quiz and/or test every 3 days. Covered 12 chapters in 4 weeks. The tests are somewhat difficult because the questions are made to trick you. If you carefully read text and examine illustrations you'll see them on the test. He knows the class is hard and has a generous curve built in. Easy A.

His online class was the best! All you had to do was study the material on weekdays then take the weekly quizzes online, and 3 exams. I learned a lot & plus I did it on my own...and I got an A!!!

Great online class. 5 question quiz every week, you have anytime between friday to sunday midnight to take it. NO HOMEWORK so just study for the quizes! Covered a chapter a week. 3 Tests total but if you do well on the first two you don't have to take the third which is the final.Book is a must. Grades in students favor. Well organized too.

I took the online class and it was AWESOME!!! I got an A!! Every week we would study a chapter and take a quiz at the end of the week pretty simple, easy, and I learned a lot!

This is the best online Economics class. I took Econ online with some other teacher and I got a D. I retook it with Song and got an A. Weekly quizzes, three or four exams. Drops 2 lowest quizzes and 1 lowest exam. You need to study on your own. Other than that great class. Oh! and no required blackboard discussions =)

Took online. This class is much easier than Econ 121-less math and graphs. Allows you to drop 2 lowest quiz grades & lowest exam grade. I was happy with my scores so I skipped last 2 quizzes and the final-got an A. Never needed to email her. Took intersession (4 wks) and no discussion board was required. Pretty easy A but you gotta read the book.

Took Econ 120 Online, 16 weeks course (fall 09). I am REALLY bad at Econ, and got an A in this class. 10/12 quizzes and 2/3 exams. Grades on a curve.

If you need to take an Econ class, this is your guy. I like to believe I would've gotten an "A" without the extra credit and the curve, but it was all but guaranteed with it. I would recommend this professor without hesitation.

Great teacher, easy class. you have to read the chapters somewhat to get the concept of it at first but he has an inclass lesson that is very easy to follow.

Great prof, he really cares about student success. Pretty easy class. Exams are a little harder than just understanding the chapter. Do all the applications at the end of chapters...that's the key to an A. Dr. Song grades on a curve. An 86 is considered an A.

The class itself is not that bad. You have to really read the textbook. You don't need to take the final if you do well in the previous exams. Study the practice questions before you take quizzes/exams. Make sure to score as much as possible on the quizzes.

Straight forward online Econ 120 class. Professor very helpful. Accumulated points already by mid-semester to get guaranteed A. MUST understand the concepts, do little more studying than just reading. Even if you get all 0s from all quizzes and tests, you will still get a C. Easy points.

Took the class online. Very organized, quick reply. One quiz every chap 12 drop 2 lowest score. Exams every 4 chapters 3 drop one lowest score. Lots of ex. credit. HW and Ex. Cr. covers what you missed on exams and quizs. So either way you'll get an A. But you have to read. Tests and quizzes are tough bec he knows you'll get covered by extra cr.

Easiest class I have ever taken in my life. I will let you figure out why the assignments and tests for these online classes are the easiest you will ever have to do.

He gives great examples and explanation. BUT it's quite hard to understand him because of his accent. Test and quiz questions are from the lecture, so pay attention. Class participation is very important. And as long as you read the chapters, do the chapter exercise, and review your notes, you'll get an A. He also gives extra credit.

He wants you to pass. With an 86 of 110 points to pass, you count only 4 of 5 pop quizzes and 2 of 3 tests. Gives some extra credit. Sometimes hard to follow during lecture due to accent. Passionate about economics, he wants you to learn and wants you to pass. I think you'd want to fail to not pass this class. Easy A..

Professor Song is a great professor. No one else can give you a chance to get an A better than he does. Sometimes it might seem that he didn't explain something well enough, but in the end of his lecture he is always willing to answer questions and make everything clearer. Couldn't ask for a better professor.

His class is easy in the way he calculates the grade. I mean come on out of 150 points you only have to get 100 points to get an A in the class. That's not even mathematically correct, but hey I guess its to your benefit. I will agree though that his tests and quizzes are quite tricky with the wording.

If you want to learn and understand Econ, dont take this online class. Since he has an easy grading scale to get an A, extra credits, and unlimited attempts on hwk, its easy to pass without even reading the books. If you really want to understand Econ, take it in person.

I went to class only 8-10 times during the whole semester and got a C, which I'm not complaining about. Drops one out of three exams, has a few 10-point pop quizzes (very easy). You can use an old version of the textbook because he doesn't assign homework. Easy A if you can attend class regularly and put in some effort.

Took Professor Song for ECON. Liked his teaching style and will take him again for Macro Econ. He makes the class simple to instill the basics in your mind. If you listen and study you will have no problem getting an A. He is not a tough professor, and thank goodness for that. Don't we have enough of them. No complaints here.

Far more math in Econ 121 than I expected. Tough class but given that you can drop one quiz and one test, it is hard not to pass the class. All homework can be attempted an unlimited amount of times so there is no excuse for not getting full credit. Fairly good size number of points for extra credit

Each week for each chapter u should do a test just 5 questions. Every 4-5 chapter there is a quiz 40 questions. your lowest grades will be dropped "2 tests and 1 quiz" . Also There are some extra credit. In total it's very very easy to take A. Take it.

Song skips the BS and just gets down to ECON basics. Get to drop one quiz and one exam. Took him for ECON 121 also and he is consistent in his grading. Extra quizzes are given (2-3 normally). One exam he sends home with students. Not cumulative. If you do well on first 2 exams and quizzes you can skip final and last 2-3 weeks of class. Nice!

read your book before you go to class and you will get an A. I didn't need to go to class for the last month in the semester because i had so many points there was no way for me to get below an A. Sometimes hard to understand but if you read the material before you go to class (like he tells you to do) it will be easy. drops 2 quizzes and one exam.

Professor Song was really good, he knew what he was talking about, basically show up to class everyday and you will pass, i failed most of my tests and quizzes and still passed.

Pretty basic online class. 1 homework assignment and 1 test every week, extra credit every month. Homework is pretty easy considering you get unlimited tries, tests are self explanatory, and extra credit is basically like using flashcards on Quizlet. You have to try to fail this class. Definitely would take this professor again!

Taking this online for 4 week intersession, EASIEST CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN. Course is unweighted out of 180 total pts & he only counts 10/12 homeworks (5 questions max), 10/12 quizzes (5 questions), 2/3 exams (40 questions), plus 30 pts of extra credit. I'm 9 days in & I already have a B without even taking 2 of the exams, and 5 of the quizzes LOL

professor Song is a really good one, he cares about his students, i took him for Econ120 once and i decided, to take him for 121 too this time online though, and i will tell you the online class is easier, you will have more time on the exams, 3 exams, best of two counts, 12 quizzes, best of 10, 12 homework best of 10.

Pretty straight forward online course. Do the reading and all of the assignments and you'll pass. The grading criteria is a little confusing but if I did well you can too!

I took this course for winter intersession and it's definitely an easy A. The homework is only 3-4 questions in which you can retry again, there's a ton of extra credit. Take this course!!

If you're going to take econ and want an easy A, TAKE IT WITH PROFESSOR SONG ONLINE! you're graded by 18 homeworks (5 points each), 12 quizzes (5 points each), & 3 exams (40 pts each). Unlimited attempts for hw, 5 attempts for quizzes, and 5 attempts for exams. & 6 extra credit assignments worth 10 points each! Ignore the bad reviews, take him!!

The professor was lenient and clear in his grading. He gave plenty of extra credit to get you an A. Very knowledgeable and the class went really smooth online. It was my 1st online class and I had a great experience. High-quality software made the assignments give great feedback. Glad I took his course.

Class was fairly easy, all you have to do is make sure you turn your stuff in on time and you're good! He also responds quickly to emails!! He gives a lot of extra credit so there really isn't a reason why you would fail his class. The exams are a bit challenging though.

EASIEST class I have EVER taken. Like literally, I took the 4 week course, where everything is crammed to high heaven, and yet it was a breeze. HW only has 3-6 question, with unlimited tries. With quizzes you get 3 chances to try again! Same question each time. Easy extra credits too! There's no way you'd fail, unless you really TRY to fail.

Prof. Song's ECON classes are very straightforward. This is the second class I've taken with him: one of them was an eight-week course and the other was a four-week course. All you have to do is read the textbook and do the courses on Pearson. He emails reminders to the class to get work done around once a week, but otherwise will leave you to it.

Fantastic class. Took during intersession and was a breeze. Course is through MAL and is very user friendly (multiple attempts on hw/quiz). Professor Song gives you all the tools to succeed!

This is a self taught course, we do have due dates for hw and quizzes. We have reading, homework and quiz every week and after a few chapters we have an exam and sometimes we have e.c. but it is all online and done through Pearson. Pretty easy class.

very easy class, would 100% recommend it, there is a lot of easy extra credit you can get throughout the semester. not much of a workload too

Prof. Song set up the class through online Pearson My Lab economics portal. This class needs a self-disciplined student that reads the text, does the accompanying pre-study homework then turns in the required homework/quizzes on time. There were 3 exams each based on 4 chapters at a time. Excellent 8-week class, excellent professor!

EASY CLASS! There is no way that you can fail this class. Unlimited tries on HW. Quizzes and Exams have 5 attempts and the highest score is taken. (at least for my class) Extra credit opportunities! HW and Quiz each week with Exam every 4 chapters. Definitely should've taken a shorter version of this class. (I took the full 16 weeks)

Prof Song is a really nice guy. In person attendance is mandatory so do online. HW and quiz have 6 questions max and are due every Sunday. Unlimited tries on hw, 5 on quizzes. Lots of extra credit. All of the answers are on Chegg or Quizlet if you type the q on google. All work done on Pearson my lab. Very communicative. Easy to pass. 3 big exams.

Although I wouldn't take Professor Song again, there were only little things I didn't like. He got his masters degree in China and you really have to be listening if you want to hear him. For me, sometimes his voice turned into background noise. His grading criteria is unique, which is why I passed. Points are points and they're not weighted.

Dr. Song's online Econ class is not one you want to pass up on. I took this as a class for my business minor and found it to be both easy and informative. It is fully asynchronous and you will have lots of opportunities to get an A in this class.

extremely easy class, everything is online. pay to assess the course through MyLab and Mastering. It is split into homework (unlimited tries), quizzes (5 tries), & exams (5 tries). you start w 0 points building ur points, so you might have low % but by the end you'll have a good grade. took the 16 weeks but manageable w/ 8 weeks or 4 weeks.

TAKE HIS CLASS!!!! Everything was online on Pearson which made everything very easy. Once a week homework and a chapter quiz is due, after 4 chapters there is an exam. There's a total of 14 chapters and quizzes, 3 exams, and 6 extra credit assignments that are definitely worth doing. Easiest A of my life would take again.
