MS WANG WAS VERY FUNNY AND KNOWS LOTS OF MATH

Ms. Wang is very helpful and knows what she teaches. She does take the time to offer any and all assistance if there is a problem. The only down side is a lot of my classmates complained about not being able to understand her.

really sweet, funny and helpful. she can be hard to understand at times but is really a great teacher. she is definitly entertaining as well. i definitly reccomend her class.

One of the more helpful teachers (if you ask for it). She seemed to really care if we "got it" or not. Some in the class skipped a lot days, and then they complained about her-- but dudes! You can't expect to do well if you don't attend class or do the homework. If you keep up and show up, it's pretty straight forward though. She was fair about it.

She is a little difficult to understand at first, but the more you hear her the easier she is to understand. She is a good teacher, and always wants to help. The quizzes and tests are almost exactly like the notes and homework. But like any other class, you need to be there to get a good grade. No make ups unless you have a GOOD reason.

Maybe he's hard to understand, but he is an excellent teacher. He breaks down the problem Barney style so everyone can understand.

Ms Wang is a great teacher. Her expectations are crystal clear. She does have a strong Taiwanese accent, but her grammar is excellent, as are her teaching methods. One student commented: "First & formost she can't speak good English so you can barely understand what she's trying to teach." Did anyone else find this amusing?

Great teacher, go to class and takes notes you'll be fine. Test are not easy but not hard. One of the best math teachers I've ever had. Will help you in any way possible. Works in Learning Commons so you can always get help. Very good, I recommend this professor,

I thought she was a really good teacher. It was her first year teaching and she did an excellent job. If you are not good at math then take her. She takes everything slow so that you understand it. Tests are not all that easy but what math test is? She is the nicest woman in the world!

I didn't take her as a prof., but she hellllppppped me ge through MAC 1105 in the Learning Commons. Yafang is the best, she's so helpful and she will help you to understand each problem that you need help with. Take her if you can or get her to help you in the LC!

Ms. Wang is the greatest! She is very helpful & willing to answer any questions. She is kinda hard to understand at first due to her thick accent but you pick up on it quick. Makes class fun she likes to make jokes that no one ever got and she wore her Transformers shirt on the day we learned transformations. Great math teacher she knows her stuff!

Generally, a great teacher, all that is required from you is that you practice and do your homework on time. She's very helpful and has everything set up for you to succeed you just need to follow through with it.

I almost didnt take her due to the bad reviews, but glad I did! Ms Wang is funny and very helpful. Goes through material quickly sometimes, but just ask her to slow down. She will clarify anything you dont understand. Isn't an easy A, but do your work and you'll be fine. Gives a TON of extra credit, Huge help! Really wants her students to succeed.

I love Ms. Wang! She is really funny so her class doesn't get too boring and she teaches really well! All homework is online and some quizzes too, which is great because you get multiple tries on them. Her tests are not that hard as long as you take good notes and pay attention to everything she tells you anyone can pass!

She is a great teacher. Has a stong accent because she is from Taiwan but once you get through that she really does care about helping you in the class. The class itself is kind of hard if you don't go to class everyday and pay attention just make sure you study though. Remember it is a mandatory class so good luck!

Great teacher!! She is a little hard to understand sometimes because of her accent but you get used to listening to it. She offers a lot of extra credit and always helps with your questions. Her tests are easy and quizzes are even easier. The homework seems pointless but its good practice.

An amazing teacher who is very dedicated to her job. She does have an accent, but it doesn't take away from the substance provided in her class. Also, she is very devoted to her students and will help anyone who asks. Very sweet and fun (even though the math itself isn't). Highly recommended.

Best College Math teacher I've ever had! This is a tough class, I feel privelaged to have had her. She is extremely dedicated to her students and will help you in any way possible. Attendance is important to her! I am taking her again for Pre-Cal. I would reccomend her to anyone! She's Friendly, but try not be late.

Makes sure you know what to do before moving forward and gives opportunities for extra credit. Really wants her students to do well... and has a nice butt too.

If you are an idiot, you won't pass this class. she's an excellent teacher and makes sure you know what you're learning. She is more than ecstatic to help you-she really does want you to move on to the next course. You will fail if you do not attend. This is a difficult course and ya fang wang is a perfect match. Great teacher! Always willing to help when you need it, but it is still your responsibility to do your work. She makes sure that everyone has the opportunity to ask questions. She will go over something even if just one person doesn't understand. She is cute, fun and very friendly! I plan to take her for my next math course(s).

She's honestly the best math teacher I've ever had.Shes very clear, gives lots of homework and quizzes, is really helpful during office hours,great personality, will remember your face. The test are basically the homework&quiz problems. She doesn't curve or give extra credit but if you do the work and don't miss any class, its basically a gimme.

I maintain a high GPA and will likely fail this course. No fault of Miss Wang. She's great. However, if you don't study this material and gain a working knowledge of it, she will trip you up on tests and you WILL fail. Grading is unforgiving. No formula keys on tests. ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN. Even if it's obvious you know it.. she'll take off points

Mrs. Wang is an excellent math teacher and is very concerned about her students and them passing her class. She will help in any way possible for you to understand her material. Her door is always open during office hours. I would def recommend her to other students. You must work hard for the grade you want in her class though. This is COLLEGE.

Ya Fang Wang is a teacher that wants to make sure you understand the material. If you want an 'A' without much effort, take a different professor. If you want to understand mathematics then Ms. Wang will help you do that.

I currently hold an "A" in both Precal and Trigonometry. The key to do well in Wang's classes is to show up, pay attention, do practice problems, and go to her office when needed. I've yet to make below a "B" on anything because I followed the aforementioned advice.

Im currently taking her for summer session,shes a bit fast at teaching and makes you rush on the quizes...lol but i do enjoy the class and yes the test are challenging but like i said if you take notes and do your part of the share , you will be fine. P.S i dont even have the book nor do i do the text homeowrk n i have an 110% in her class.

Unless you have some mathematical prowess, I wouldn't recommend taking a course from Professor Wang during the summer term. She is probably fine during any other term.

STUDY for the quizes because they make a decent percent of your grade at the end Do HW remember halfangle doubleangle LPformula and addsub formulas for final cus she hardly had them on tests She sped up the course and then taught super easy polar co and vectors the last two weeks but didnt quiz heard shes better in fall and spring shes helpful/cool

GREAT teacher. If you are going for an engineering degree, you need a good foundation. This is a great class for that. My one piece of advice is study. Study every thing you get back and redo every example, homework, quiz and test until you can do it in your sleep and have questions ready for class. Do that and you will do great.

She has a cute accent & can be hilariously adorable at times. I personally loved her teaching method. She uses the board instead of an overhead projector & tries to engage her class as much as possible. If u do the assignments, go to class, & pay attention then u will be able to pass no sweat. She is extremely helpful & understanding. Passed w/ "A"

Wonderful teacher! Taught very well. Made sure you understood the problems. Gave a lot of quizzes but the quizzes gave you a good idea of what's on the test! Never made below a B on any of them. Taking her this summer for Trig because she's that good.

I took her for both precalc and trig, she's the best teacher out of TCC. I recommend her, although if you're taking both at the same time, hear this advice: you will expect a quiz literally EVERYDAY so you got to know how to cut subjects from precalc and trig, don't get them mixed up! I got both B's in there and I wished I got both A's but I tried!

It seemed easy enough. Show up for class, take ALL her notes from the board, ask questions, and she will give full details. She's a stickler on terminology, so study those and pay close attention during quiz/test time. She makes it interesting so boredom isn't a factor. BE! ON! Time! Make corrections on missed question asap. Study, study, study.

I took her online for 1033 and got off to a bad start but ended up with a B. Found out quick she doesn't like excuses for not doing HW, etc...but really that will help you in the long run. She puts up weekly checklists each week so you know what is due and when. Also gives you a study guide for each test with an answer key so you can check you work

I took her for precalc and I will probably take her again for trig. You will get behind if you miss a class, and you have to take good notes! She puts everything on the board, VERY clear about what will be on exams. You have to make sure to keep up though or it will be tough. Definitely a collage level class. And her accent isn't even that bad!

I took her for Trig. I am currently finishing Physics 2 with Calc 3 and a lot of her methods and techniques have come in handy in these classes. If you are trying to take higher math with science she is really good take for trig because trig is very important and she can teach it. Trust me. Her methods still help me everyday.

She is awesome. Took trig and precalc at the same time and paid attention unlike some of the morons rating her. Don't miss classes, do your hw the day she assigns it. Review your notes before classes. Prepare for a pop quiz every class. If you put the effort in, you will be fine. She rocks and will help you with anything!

She's the best trig teacher you can ask for. She will move the mountains to help you pass. However, you [the student] need to put a lot of effort in preparing for her quizzes, online homework, and book homework to pass the class.

I had a school function (excused absence) on the day of a test and I had to go. She refused to let me take it late/ahead of time. She even told me verbatim that she doesn't allow make ups even for people who have deaths in their families. Only after I dropped I found out she isn't even allowed to do that. If this happens to you, talk to the dean.

She grades very hard. You have to be very careful in all your work on tests and quizzes so you don't get stupid points taken off. But she will help you to try to pass the class if she feels like you are putting forth an effort. You have to attend class and do the online homework and study. Very good teacher.

Attend class and study every day. I received a high A in her class because I made sure that I understood everything before the end of the day. I took her express class though. She is a good teacher. She grades in detail and really knows what she is talking about. Do not take her if you are not going to show up everyday, she doesn't like that.

First Math class after returning to school 7 years later. Take her if you are a Science or Math major. She will give you the foundation you need by teaching concepts, and not just memorizing formulas. She will help you if you ask. A little language barrier at first, but it really is not too bad.

A little hard to understand, because English isn't her first language, but she's incredibly good at it, considering that fact. She's very good at math, she teaches like 7 different courses of varying difficulties so she's a little scattered. You'll have to pay for WebAssign and attendance is mandatory. If you pay attention and ask for help its good

The hardest grader I have ever encountered (including undergrad @ FSU). She is a good teacher but HARD. Rather than purely test students on the concepts, she intentionally makes questions difficult & tries to trick you. I've lost more pts on questions than they're worth! I would not recommend her and risk your GPA for a 5 credit hour (calc) course.

She is a good teacher in math. She is willing to help you accomplish the challenge. She teaches math very well. She will make sure you understand the problem.

Ya Fang is great. She makes you work hard but if you study enough you will have an amazing foundation. Her tests are hard but its because she's trying to challenge you. Don't be late in her class! And don't live early either. STUDY STUDY!

Professor Wang is an excellent teacher and I felt I learned quite a lot compared to my friends who are taking other Professors for Calc 1. I feel she really prepared me for Calc 2, but I must say this is easily the most difficult class I have taken yet. Her tests are purposely made to trick you and even earning a C in this class would be difficult.

Mrs. Wang is a super tough teacher, a little hard to understand, but she has really helped me understand the math we are doing when other teachers failed. I would recommend her for easier math classes.

Took the 6-week summer session and honestly was very pleased with the class. I was scared to take any calc class but Ms. Wang is very clear on the test questions (some questions are straight from notes/textbook) and wants you to pass. She can be lecture heavy and there is a good amount of homework but also it was a 6-week class so that was expected

I had her for a 6 week express class over the summer & even though there's a lot of information thrown at you each day, she makes it very easy to understand. She's willing to help you when you have questions, & her tests are fairly easy & actually line up with what was taught. I'm terrible at math & she made it really easy.

Mrs. Wang is such an amazing teacher. I took her as an six week course and passed with a high B and I suck at math. She is willing to help but you have to reach out. There are about 7-8 homework assignments per unit (4). There is NO final exam just an optional retake. The practice test is JUST LIKE the actual test. You will not be disappointed!

This class was easy for me because Im strong in math but if youre not good in math I wouldnt recommend her. She has an outline of her notes that you printout for class which I like. Lots of homework & quizzes. Tests are weighted heavily (55%). If you ask a question or dont understand something shell talk to you like youre dumb.

I struggled in math but honestly if you do do all the math homework and quizzes and study those for the test you will be fine because that tests are based on hw and quizzes. The other reviews stated that she doesnt like to answer question but in my class she was always open and ready to answer questions. Tests are 50% of grade so study!!

She explains math in a way that is very easy to understand. During zooms, you do have to have your camera on and occasionally answer questions, but she doesn't care if you don't know the answer. Her most common HW is videos 15 min videos with 3 questions and they are 3 times a week. Pay attention cause it introduces the topics. TAKE NOTES PASS

If you fail this class it is because you did not submit something or because you refuse to think. If you pay attention during her zooms you will 100% understand the information. I am currently enrolled and students that don't get it just don't try. Her negative reviews are completely unfair. I highly recommend it. If you listen then you pass.

Has kind of a lot of homework but nothing you can not manage. Is very nice and respectful towards students and makes the lectures very thorough so you don't get confused when learning new material. Loved her.

Ms. Wang gives awesome lectures. She produces her own materials and makes it easy for students to understand math. She is very organized and requires students to be on cameraThere is a good bit of homework and her tests aren't easy, watch the videos and do the homework you will do fine. If you want be prepared for next level math take her.

I loved her class. She made us feel welcomed and if you pay attention, your grades will benefit from the lecture.

A bit challenging at times but she makes it fun and easy to learn by actually listening to the students!

She is a super great teacher to learn from! Strict if you miss quizzes or tests and you need a doctors note and she wont take anything else pretty much. I went to almost every class and did pretty much every assignment on time and felt very prepared going into every test and final. She will work with you on topics you dont understand if needed!

A lot of people are complaining about the amount of work she gives but it's a college math class like of course there is work. If I needed to turn something in late and still gave me full credit multiple times. When I emailed her she always emailed me the same day. Her lectures are long, but they are very helpful and explain the lessons very well.

Ms. Wang is a very good math professor. She is very knowledgeable on the subject. The platforms and systems she uses are all very good, except for the Kaltura Video Quiz platform. The video quizzes take some time to do, and there are a lot of them, so lots of lectures and lots of notes to fill out. Great class, and lots of lecturing, Be prepared.

Prof. Wang was an excellent professor. She makes you work hard, yet the work you put in pays off in the tests and final exam. Her teaching, and homework assessments, as well as extra credit opportunities left me very satisfied by the end of term. Would 100% recommend taking her.

Professor Wang was pretty great this semester. The assignments were very straightforward and relatively easy to understand. She would give us inspirational speeches in class about accountability as well. She was also very fair with her grading scale.

Ms. Wang is a great professor. She always makes sure that you are able to get help whether it's through her or the learning commons. She cares deeply about her students and shares her own experiences to help with comfortability. She is very personable. She has guided notes so following along in class isn't difficult. Great professor, she is super nice and funny. The class is not all that hard if you are not good at math but super easy to get an A or a B if you do all the assignments, pay attention in class, and study for the tests and quizzes. Make sure to pay attention in class because she will call on you.

I Loved her. she does give a lot of work but it really shows with the tests. He study guides and homework are easy if you understand the information and take time to actually learn and understand the units. Her tests are exactly like the study guides (not the same numbers) and she really goes out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of.

Professor Wang cares about her students and their success in her class. She has a positive attitude and is knowledgeable in what she teaches. There are a lot of assignments but it helps prepare you for the three unit exams and the final. It is not hard to get an A or B if you are putting in the work and I would highly recommend this class.

She is really really sweet and genuinely cares about her students. The class itself isn't difficult in my opinion, so long as you show up and pay attention then you'll be set :)
