prof.Espinal was a great starter teacher for math.I really enjoyed her class a whole lot. Her test were also very easy.

She's an okay teacher...i've had worse. I understand everything that she says, so...i don't know why she has a poor rating. I like her.

when i started i wasnt sure about da class but after awhile the class was so easy! even though her accent is kinda thick she explains things throughly. she makes sure that u understand. the test are easy too. i never studied for one and i would always get As or Bs.da only thing i didnt like was da lab hours other dan that this class was a breeze.

This class is already easy as it is. She explains things very thoroughly making sure you understand. Always keeps track of your progress; just do the mandatory lab hours and you'll be ok.

Shes awesome!!! has an accent but if you have a question she goes over it. and she does problems that you can solve in class.. EXTRA CREDIT on all her test that if you do it bump you up a letter grade!

College Algebra is one of the top dropped classes. This lady teaches it very well. She has an accent but is perfectly comprehensible. Online HW is ridiculously long. About 6 hours per test. The tests are fairly simple, multiple choice makes it easy to pass. If you get an average of an A or B on your tests, your final will replace your lowest grade

She is very helpful. DO ALL THE ONLINE HOMEWORK (which you have to buy program) and you cannot fail the tests. 4 tests and optional final(replaces lowest grade). Final was culmulative but not difficult. only draw back she has a bit of an accent, but I recommend!

okay seriously, this teacher is AMAZING!!! I don't know how she is with MAC 1105 because I had her for MAT 0020...But I'm sure she's still great! This woman is not only super nice, but its so easy to understand her! Yes she has a bit of an accent, but nothing out of this world at all...you will understand every single word she says!

She explains everything super well! and shes very clear! She uses several examples so that everyone can understand! Attendance is not mandatory, and she truly cares about her students progress! You can ask her as many questions as you want, she never makes you feel stupid! I highly recommend her!! She is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! =]

OK. its true, this professor is a little tough, but if you go to her class on time and do the HW, passing the course shouldnt be a problem. The HW online, is crazy, but if you slack you will fail. she has an accent, so make sure you sit in the front. i passed with a B and on top of that i was taking 5 classes. take her if you really understand math

It is true that her accent is very strong, but you can understand her. by the way, she always care about her students, she always ask you if you have any questions and she will explain to you 'till you get it.. I recommend her. If you do your online HW and exercises from the book you wil pass :)

She is a G R E A T teacher!!! I took her for summer 6 week term. She goes FAST, but if you DO YOUR ONLINE HOMEWORK (no textbook) You WILL pass. Math is all about practice, SHE MAKES SURE YOU GET TONS OF IT! 4 Tests, Optional Final to drop lowest grade. EXTRA practice exams sent online before test. IS INTERESTED IN HER STUDENTS! TAKE HER!! I took this class online and thought it would be extremely diffcult. This professor only has a couple of assignments and are rather easy. Don't need the book just the access code to mathzone. She provides powerpoint presentations for all the chapters and tests reviews. She is very helpful.

I took her for MAT1033 and I took her again. Teaches you exactly what you need to know and makes sure you know it. 4 tests. Optional final to substitute 1 of the 4. Doing the hw will help you a lot. She posts up the class notes online.

Really nice professor. She has a slight spanglish language but its understandable. Her tests are easy IF you do her studyguides, the guide is harder so that the tests are a piece of cake and don't buy the book, you dont need it...just get mymathlab

Great professor! Teaches middle school as well, so it helps. Very nice. Very clear on what is expected of you. Assigns lots of homework, but chapter tests are the most important, even more so than the midterm/final! She gives reviews. The tests are based on the review. Study hard, ask questions, do hw, visit lab (not required) and you should pass.

I absolutely loved this teacher. I took both my MAT 0022c and MAT 1033 and passed with out problems. She is the first teacher that I have actually understood math from. She is super helpful and explains things thoroughly and clearly, Really makes sure you understand the material. On a random note she sounds like Selma Hayek in my opinion.

She has a lot of patience with students and tries her best for you to understand each section. She has office hours and sends out a review a week before test. She is very helpful! Take her!

She's a bit boring, and her material is a bit too easy for me, but it was an easy A. Her tests are really simple and verbatim of the review. All her homework assignments are super easy, but tedious, and online. If you want the easy A, take her. She's really nice and fun.

Honestly, I highly recommend Professor Espinal because she has a great attitude when it comes to teaching, she is motivated and determined. The way she delivers the info is simple, her lectures, notes, and reviews are extremely helpful for the tests. The homework is tedious but manageable. Don't get the book just buy the code, you'll save money!

Good class but I wouldn't take it online. I am used to mymathlab this one used connect math which has horrible lectures. Got a B, probably would have got an A if I took it on campus. You have lots of time to get the work done. 2 proctored tests (60% of grade) and 2 online. Practice and you will pass.

Professor Espinal is a sweet lady. Math has never been my subject but I passed her class with a B. She goes at an appropriate pace. the lessons don't feel rushed. She also gives study guides before every test that are very similar to the actual thing. Homework is done online with a math code ! She responds to emails.

She's a really nice teacher and her examples help a lot for the test! :) Being good in math is all about repetition, so just do your homework everyday and you'll be fine! Her study guides are really useful and are basically the test itself. Math has not been my best subject and I got a B+ in it. Totally recommend her!

So I had this professor before for MAC1105, I didn't pass and to be honest I never wanted to take one of her classes again. But she was the only professor for the time I need so I took her. I'm so happy I did! This time I payed attention and always went to her for help. She knew my mom was going through chemo so she was very understanding. Thanks

Course was a bit difficult in the beginning as you have to teach yourself. 4 discussions that you will find the answers in the online book. Lots of online hw on mathlab ($95). 5 online quizzes and a proctored mid-term and final. I did all the hws last minute because I work but she gives enough time. Do all practice quizzes and tests. Good teacher.

If you come to class and do all required homework you shall have no problem in this class. Many people put too much emphasis on how she is a bad professor Which is 100% not true. If you know you aren't good in math there are a plethora of other options that are available to everybody. She taught the material Well it was ultimately up to the student

This was my first semester taking online. I would recommend reading the chapter and watching the videos she puts up for each chapter because it definitely help me. And do the practice exams she has, they really do help you out.

Great professor! She had audio recordings of her solving the math problems and lecture notes both of which were really helpful. There was a review quiz before each quiz which were quite similar. Proctored Midterm AND Final both of which had review tests. Book was on Connect so no need to buy it. I loved this professor for making this so easy!

She's a great professor. 7 tests total, about 5 online quizzes and all homework online. The quizzes online match her tests. She goes over in class exactly what is on her test. She won't surprise you with harder questions or anything. would take again!

There is something about her, her teaching style that makes it appealing to learn. She connects real world scenarios with her subject, she is ready to answer questions, and she is funny. This professor is simply amazing. Her lectures make a lot of sense and she's accessible during her office hours if you want individual help. Her exams are basically the study guide, which she gives a week before the exam and goes over during class. She's always very happy to teach and makes you want to learn.

Professor Espinal is one of those great Math teachers you don't see anymore. Her lectures are amazing and she wont stop until you don't understand the subject. People say her exams are tough, but if you pay attention to her class and do the exercises she gives you to practice at home you wont have any problem getting an A on her tests.

This professor is very fast moving and once the class understands a section she is ready to move on. Time passes quickly in her class because she keeps the class's focus. Although if you don't participate or say you don't understand she will move on. Be honest and ask for help if you need it. She gives great pre-test reviews with answer keys.

Professor Espinal is a great teacher. You know, the one that you just know that they are great in their field. Almost every day is a different subject you will learn, so get prepared to take notes, otherwise you will get lost. Take her if you are a fast learner and can teach yourself math.

She not the type to hold on to your hand but there are resources for example the homework assignments can explain it way better but overall her class isnt hard just make sure you study for the tests and do the homework and youll be fine.

For me, she was easy to understand and gave a lot of examples. You got to attend her class. There are 4 test that are worth 70% and a final test and they can be difficult if math is not your strong suit. The homework is online and it has unlimited tries. You have a bunch of resources to understand her lessons. The videos that go with the homework.

I took her class Summer semester 2021, for college algebra. She is a great teacher. She will thoroughly explain the material. She gives you a lot of resources to study from. The only reason I got a B is because I missed a few homework assignments. I highly recommend considering choosing her as your professor. Each class is recorded.

Prof. Espinal is a kind lady but you need to be religiously on top of your work and understanding in order to pass. The class is strictly based off basic algebra (mostly algebra 2), so you need to refresh your mind with the basics if you don't remember much. There is a lab recommended for this course. Just be on top of your homework and study:)

Spring 2023: Hw & quizzes are on Pearson. You must pay attention in class because she will call you to the board. The tests (10-20 questions) in person on paper (not multiple choice). The test questions were similar to the reviews & the hw. This class is not an easy A, but dedicate some time to studying and the material will fall into place.

Took online course and no complaints from the professor herslef. There is A LOT of homework and proctored midterm and final that heavily weighs grade along with quizzes. Lots of work but def doable.
