He teaches from his lectures so u can't miss class. But he is very straight forward and his exams are really easy. This was one of the easiest classes i've taken.

He is really a nice guy. Even though he writes a lot on the board, it's easy to get an A in his class.I expect to have all my professors just like him.

Professor Ioannis was great! He didn't give a required text. And the hardest thing we'd ever do in class was copy notes (it was a lot of writing - but thats the case in many classes). We had only three exams and they were on things we went over in the notes; he did great reviews so it was a breeze! I would definitely recommend him. Easy A!

He is my best Prof. he doesn't care about attendant as long as, you do good in test, and ask questions when you don't understand. He has a little accent, but he doesn't get offensive when you tell him to repeat. I got an A. Highly recommended. He love dark chocolate.

Wonderful, knowledgeable, fun professor that gave a paper, midterm, and final for grade. No need to buy textbook since all info was given in class. I did purchased the study guide, however, so I didn't have to copy notes (he writes a lot). He's very flexible and will gladly work with you to earn that A.

I graduated from bmcc and am currently a Baruch student I had to come back to tell you all that EVERYTHING in both, his BUS and MAR classes will be covered again later. Tournas sets a great base that you actually remember long after the semester is over. Im very grateful to have had him. I highly encourage you to take him. Plus he is super nice.

Wonderful Professor! He is so passionate about teaching! Sometimes he forgets to breathe when he lectures lol. He tells great stories about his life, very enertaining. Yanni.T is a great person and professor. He tells stories about himself which are great and funny. He's a very caring person.He wants his school to learn. And a short analysis paper & 4-6 term paper which is kinda easy. don't think he looks the papers carefully. if you follow the instruction then you'll be fine.

Honestly, this class was easy, but extremely boring. Even though I am very interested in finance, I could barely stay awake in the class. The way professor speaks is very monotonous. He sits by his desk and types notes. We didn't have a textbook; although, I wish we did, because I feel like I have not learned much in this course.

I am currently taking him in the summer semester. I don't know how to express how awesome this guy is. Everything is based on the notes. You don't need the textbook unless you want to look more into the subject. That's why you have to be there everyday so you don't miss notes. If you want a good grade and want to learn things take him! No regrets!

I got a B- in his class and it's not even a subject I'm good at. Also I took this in the summer semester. One quiz, midterm, final, and term paper. He gives a review sheet for the tests and explains what he wants for the term paper. No textbook necessary. Everything is notes. All you have to do is study and you'll have no problem. He's awesome!!!!!

I would recommend this professor to all students. Professor Yanni tells many stories and tries to keep students focused with his stories. He does not give homework, but will give you 1 quiz, an extra credit, final, midterm and 2 projects. He is very laid back and is a very nice professor. Go to class and do his work and you will pass!

Took him for both FNB100 and MAR100. Both classes were once a week super long lectures but he made them not so boring. He's pretty funny and is really nice, he learns everyone's names which I always like in a professor. No textbooks to buy and tests are multiple choice. I wish he taught more classes!

Professor Tournas was great during my Spring 2020 semester; however, his teaching style wasn't really zoom friendly once we transitioned online. This didn't bother me too much since we barely had homework (the lectures are long, so our grade was based on attendance and the 3 papers we wrote).

Highly recommend this professor really helpful. has a small problem with pronunciation but really good and always ready to help you.

This Prof is the best prof I had at Bmcc. If you want to learn about actual finance/economy and things that are happening now take this prof. You dont have to memorize lectures because he pushes you to think and solve actual problems. I loved the class and all the hard work was so worth it because I learned a lot about finance and economy.

I took his honors class. To be honest, in the beginning it was weird, I couldnt understand anything, however, after 2 lectures I actually felt that I am learning something. By the end of the semester I feel very knowledgeable about finance and banking. If you want to actually learn something - take him.

Unlike most teachers who really pride themselves of being the teacher, and in extreme cases will havee a complex over their students, he thinks of himself as working and studying alongside his students. He doesn't say "it was great teaching you", he says, "it was great studying with you". That should tell you all about his compassion. Best class.
