Professor Post is a must for FIN 3100! This was her first semester teaching at KSU and she was amazing. She truly cares about her students. She has 6 Exams and a Optional Final. She will drop your lowest grade out of the first 5 exams. The Final, if taken, will replace the 2nd lowest grade if it is higher. I highly recommend Professor Post!!
Professor Post was honestly one of the best professor's I have ever had at KSU. This was her first semester and she was great! She genuinely cares about each of her students and wants everyone to get an A. She was super flexible and works with everyone's schedules and is easily accessible for extra help. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN! No homework/attendance
Take her if you can!!! she makes sure her students know the material and wants the class to succeed. Her tests are like the problems we do in class and she makes the material easy to understand. No attendance taken and two group projects that are a little difficult
Professor Post is one of the best professors at KSU. She is the nicest and most caring professor you will ever have! She brings real world experience that correlates perfectly with this class. She makes understanding the material very easy and will work with you if you need help. Attend class and enjoy actually having a professor that can teach.
Her class is not that bad. If you study and practice the homework question you will be fine. She is very friendly and knows what she is talking about . Take her for Fin 4260 or any class
Take this professor. Easily one of the best Finance professors at KSU. Knows her stuff and has 20+ years experience in the field. Lectures are posted online if you miss class and is easily accessible outside of class to handle any issues you might have.
The way she teaches, the love she has for finance, makes the material look so easy. If I could have the remaining of my classes with her I would. She prepares you well for the exams, she cares about her students. I look forward to doing my finance master degree. I hope she will teach all the classes! Take her class.
Best teacher I've had in my college career! She made the class so easy to understand and it made me actually enjoy going to class! She posts everything on D2L and she is extremely quick to respond to emails. MUST TAKE!!!
Great Professor, very knowledgeable and has real world experience. I would highly recommend taking this class with her over other Finance elective options. The class was not difficult as long as you attended class and studied for the exams. There were 2 group projects, but you have the option to do them individually.
If youre a non-traditional student, this is the class for you. She teaches easy-to-learn financial concepts. Six exams, optional final, no homework. Plenty of practice problems provided for you and a detailed PowerPoint slides. Her CFO experience is valuable if interested in a finance career. Very helpful in class so dont hesitate to take her!!
To start off, this is my 3rd time taking Finance. The professors I've had before weren't very clear with their lectures nor did they attempt to help you practice. Prof. Post is very clear and concise with her lectures, posts her notes online, and gives out practice handouts at the beginning of each class. I passed with a B. Take her!
Best teacher I've ever had. She explains everything, gives formula sheets and handouts. All her resources are available online if you don't go to class. Her lectures are so easy to follow, and if you don't understand, she is wiling to help! Just study from the handouts and worksheet problems and you will get A's on all her tests!
Professor Post is such a caring and straight forward professor! If you pay attention in class and study for the test, you will be sure to get an A! She does not try to trick you on the tests, and I feel like she really does want the best for her students!
(Accidentally referred to prof as "he" before) Professor Post is one of the nicest professors. She's very positive and encouraging, and answers questions in-depth with a true desire to see her students succeed. This class was an easy A with lots of study guides and multiple-choice assessment. I would 100% recommend Professor Post!
Prof Post is incredible. Cares about her students. Not just their grades, but about them as people. Responsive to emails and takes time to build relationships with students. Class is challenging, but not overwhelming, which is a great balance. Detailed with what she expects from students and genuinely WANTS to teach, which is rare in a professor.
Professor Post is great! Definitely take her if you are able to. Class is well-organized and easy to follow. Work and Tests are challenging, but you have all the material you need to pass. Answers her emails, and cares about your grades. 10/10 Would take her class again. She deserves to be a professor at Kennesaw, which is high praise.
Prof Post is such a great teacher! Your grade is based solely off of four tests, w/ your highest test grade as 40% of your grade; your 2nd highest, 30%; 3rd highest, 20%; and your lowest test is 10%. Easy class based off of memorization of her ppts. She posts her ppts and lots of study materials online on D2L. Definitely take her!
I absolutely loved this professor. I was dreading taking an ECON class, but she made the material clear and relatable. Even though attendance is not required, I would highly suggest going to class because her powerpoints can be vague because she explains it deeply in class. You can tell she cares about her students and wants them to do well.
Prof Post is soooo nice she genuinely cares about the success of her students. Also, she posts all of her power points online and the study guide to the tests with highlighted answers. Attendance was not taken once. For sure would take this class again.
Professor Post was an amazing professor!! I really enjoyed her class and she made it enjoyable to attend class. While attendance wasn't mandatory, it would still be a good idea to go. She gives a test review for each exam but for the 3rd and 4th test you had to go to class to get the answers. She is an amazing professor and I would recommend her!!!
I honestly did not show up after test two and I easily passed. Her lectures started to annoy me but she posts the power points online so you can just teach yourself. Posts some review online too and some of the questions are on tests. Only have four tests that were so easy.
Prof Post responds very quickly to emails. She is also available to meet at her office after exams for review. She does care that her students do well.
only 4 test, ur highest grade will have more points. she is a great teacher, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE IS TEACHING. she is great, her class is not boring. you don't have to show up to class but it would be better if you did. she makes everything easier than other prof would.
just go to class and do the study guides and you'll do great
Greatness. Class is not mandatory and the study guide is online. To properly learn the material, I would go to class. Other times, I would wait last minute til the test to study. Lectures are long and boring but good class.
she is an amazing professor, I want to take her again, she post everything online, so you don't even need to show up to class . I did bad in her class because I got overly confident, but trust me you shouldn't be able to fail her class
At first, class was really interesting. Her lectures were great and I actually looked forward to attending class. After the first exam, her lectures gradually got boring to the point where she eventually just reads from the slides. With that being said, her exams are STRAIGHT from the study guides she posts. Easy class to pass with minimal effort
Prof. Post was a really good professor and all of her tests are based on the study guides she posts. I only used the book to make flashcards from the bolded words in the book. Overall it was a really easy class and she was a very helpful professor.
Prof. Post was a great professor and I'd take her again. As long as you read the textbook, you will be fine. Quizzes and tests aren't too hard and come directly from the book so make sure you read
Very easy class, she makes economics very easy to understand. Such a great teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory nor is the textbook necessary to pass. Long as you study you will be fine.
I hate economics but loved this class. I didn't go to class except to take tests and still made an A. She posts all powerpoints and very helpful study guides online. Tests are weighed by how good your grade was (best grade is 40%, second best 30%, etc.) I broke my foot and had to come to her office for my final and she is insanely nice.
She is the best FIN professor at KSU. Very organized and she is willing to help you. I would definitely take her again.
This teacher is amazing, she really takes the time to make sure you understand the material and gets a good grade. You get what you put in. Powerpoints and practice problems are key.
Only grades in the class were tests, but she posts all of the Powerpoint notes online as well as a study guide for each test. The study guides are basically the tests so study those and youll be fine. She doesn't count attendance; I only went on the class days and passed with an A
Easily the best professor at KSU. She gives very detailed lectures and periodically works handout problems throughout class. The powerpoints are online in case you miss. She has worked in the field & applies real world finance to the concepts you learn in class. Shes good about posting grades, sticking to the syllabus & has a great grading system
This teacher really wants you to succeed and it shows. Was very willing to work with me outside of and within class. Very detailed lecture and accurate study guides provided prior to the tests. Clearly tells you what to prepare for exams with. Curves tests and your test grades count more towards your total grade based on the higher grade.
Took her for Corporate Finance. She is a really great professor who cares about her student. Gives ample practice problems and examples to reinforce concepts. Always available to answer questions outside of class. Gives class time to complete comprehensive group project, which you can also choose to do by yourself. Got an A in the class!
If you want an easy and quick ECON class, take hers online. Make sure to read the material she posts online and utilize the practice questions and you will get an easy A. I got a 100 on 2 tests and a 98 on the other 2. Highly recommend!
4 quizzes & 4 tests. No other assignments and NO extra credit. Read the lecture, take notes, study, print out study guides. You will be fine if you do the work. Professor replies to emails and sends out reminders and posts on D2L often. Study guides feature questions that directly reflect the exams and quizzes. Sometimes questions are the same.
Prof Posts class was both difficult and moderately easy, depending on the topic of the assigned chapters for each test. There are 5 quizzes and 4 exams. The online section is only 5 weeks long, so there is a test or quiz almost every week. Prof Post is very encouraging and gives great pointers on how to study to improve your grade.
She cares about all of her students. She wants you to truly understand the material. Gives very helpful study guides for tests. Very nurturing. 11/10 recommend her. Best professor Ive ever had at KSU Ive taken for for 4 courses now.
I have taken professor Post for 2 upper-level Finance classes, Corporate Finance and Finacial management of Financial institutions and I will be taking her in the Fall again. She is one of the greatest finance professors at KSU. She will provide all the necessary material for you to get an A in the class.
Professor Post is one of the nicest professors you will take at Kennesaw State. Her course is not easy, but she provides you with all the resources you will need to make a good grade. Every student I have spoken to who has taken her has had nothing but positive things to say.
Professor Post is very knowledgble in the arena of FInance. She has a very impressive Finance background as a CFO. She is definitely one of the best Finance professors I have taken and is highly recommended. Her grading is very fair and takes into consideration the student's best interest. 4 Tests & Group Project. Test grades witn 2-3hrs.
Prof. Post is a great teacher! This class is hard, possibly even harder online, but she is always ready to help and available by email. I've gone in to office hours for help, email, etc, she is super good about helping! The class has four tests and an optional final, homework to practice for each chapter and two group projects. 5 star teacher!
Professor Post is the best professor I have taken at Kennesaw. She was also the best Finance professor I have had throughout completing my finance degree. She knows her stuff. Her class makes you think and you actual learn and are able to use the information. Take her every chance you get.
This is my second time taking Professor Post and all I have to say is that she is one of the most exceptional educators at Kennesaw State. She is beyond knowledgable & experienced in finance that it really adds to the course. Plus, she gives out handouts from the text book so students DON'T have to buy them! Super caring & always available 10/10!
Honestly, Professor Post is the best finance professor I've ever taken! This was my first course with her and I plan on taking her every chance I get. Finance is not a major with a class that mimics finance careers such as accounting, however, Professor Post makes the learning experience relatable and real for the student.
Professor Post teaches primarily off of real-world examples using easy to understand handouts. Overall very pleased with her personality and teaching style (Ive taken 4 courses with her) so I would definitely recommend! 10/10!
Ill be honest, the material was hard but had I had any other Professor, I would not have gotten an A. Go to class, pay attention, and any questions you have Prof Post will clarify for you. She wants her students to be successful and learn. You will need to study but she provides more than enough resources to be successful. Highly recommended!
The best Finance professor at KSU. Tests are math-heavy, and for some, concepts may be difficult but professor Post explains everything very well and is always available. There is a group project on real work analysis. This class is a more in-depth version of the intro to finance course.
Excellent teacher, accesbile and kind-hearted. Detailed in her work so feel free to ask questions. My favorite teacher in Buress Building.
Great professor who clearly has the best intent for her students. She explains the content so well that you understand it rather than going back to memorize it. I wished I had her in previous classes because it would made other classes a lot easier. Get ready to work hard though, especially on her group project.
I have taken professor Post for 3 Finance courses over the years. If I could choose her to teach me every course to get my Finance degree I would. She has cares about you learning rather than memorizing. She even used to be a CFO for a large company, so she brings her business acumen to her course. I recommend you take her if she is available!
Out of all the years at Kennesaw State University, my experience with Professor Post was truly remarkable! Proessor Post is the type of Professor to go out of her way to truly help her students. She's very laid back and is understanding. Her class consists of 4 tests and a group project that really was fun to do. I 100% recommend you take her!
I've taken her class three times, all finance. She is really passionate and wants the best for her students. She replies very quickly with a bunch of help if needed.
Great Professor, highly recommend! Her class consist of 4 Exams, 1 group project (20% of grade), and an optional Final.
Professor Post is by far the best Finance professor I've had at KSU. She really pushes for understanding rather than memorization, and I have left every class I have taken of hers with a better understanding of the field. She is a fair grader, and encourages you to come to her office hours if you need help. Take her over any other professor!
Mrs. Post is the one of the very very few professors at Kennesaw State, you need to take her class. She teaches the class in a way that you end up falling love with finance. You can ask her a question and she will explain it in a way that even on the exam you will remember. KSU is blessed to have her!!!
Professor Post in great! I had her for my internship, FIN 4620, and FIN 4260. She really knows her stuff and will give you great feedback on your assignments. You will still have to actually learn the material and apply yourself but good grades on assignments and exams are attainable. I learned a lot from her classes and highly recommend her!
I took her for both FIN 4260 and 4220. She is awesome! Both classes were similar in structure (80% tests, 20% project). She knows her stuff when it comes to finance. She gives handouts every class that you'll complete together. Literally, if you practice the handouts enough and study the PPT slides, you can do well on the tests. TAKE HER!
I took the Fall 2020 semester, was hybrid. Pretty doable class. We met once a week; there was a quiz/test every week or so, she kept it open for at least a week. You have to do them in that time span, no exceptions. She's really nice. Attendance isn't mandatory, but people got extra credit for going on the last day of class. I never used the book.
Excellent professor. She made learning the material as straightforward as possible. Moved fast at times but was still effective. She actually cares and listens to feedback. The course is very user-friendly with many examples demonstrating concepts and practice problems using formulas. Everything you want it in professor. 5/5 will take again
The best finance professor in the department. Would recommend to anyone in the business school. She knows what she is talking about and really wants you to learn the material. Four tests, final exam replaces the lowest grade as well as two group projects.
By far the best Finance Professor in the Business School. TAKE HER! Lecture heavy but she knows what she's talking about. 6 Exams and an optional Final but she drops your lowest exam grade. Don't let the exams scare you. She breaks it up so you don't get overwhelmed by content. Very caring and such a sweet person.
I also took her for FIN 4420 and she is the best professor in the Finance department. She is so cool and funny while also being amazing at breaking down complex topics. She gives handouts and goes over all the math you need to know multiple times. She really wants you to understand whatever she is teaching and I would advise everyone to take her.
I took FIN2500 and loved it. You'll learn plenty of useful life skills in this class. TAKE IT. No extra credit, but if you put in the effort you will get a good grade. If you need help ask her she's happy to.
My absolute favorite professor. I've taken her for 3 courses now and have loved having her for each one. She teaches the material in an easily-digestible manner and provides very clear study guides for the exams. Also just seems like a great person overall. If you can, definitely take her.
Great professor who clearly has the best intent for her students. She explains the content so well that you understand it rather than going back to memorize it, but get ready to work for that grade.
Probably the best professor I've had at KSU!! This is a hard class, but professor Post really knows how to explain concepts in a detailed and memorable way. The group project is a lot of work, but she's an extremely fair grader and just a great and caring person overall. Taking two more classes with her next semester and would take more if I could!
Honestly you just get what you put into this class. It was difficult, but her lectures are good if you are attentive and take thorough notes. I definitely studied for this class more than any other class
Clear outlines of what each test will cover, and provides practice questions for each chapter. Definitely had to study a bit, but he clearly outlines the amount of effort you have to put in to achieve a passing grade.
I fumbled hard on the first test but if you really put in the effort for this class (like some serious effort) you will do fine. Also, She genuinely cares about everyone and tries his best to make class time interesting and useful.
You will still have to actually learn the material and apply yourself but good grades on assignments and exams are attainable. I learned a lot from her classes and highly recommend her!
Good prof. Cares and gives you multiple opportunities to succeed. Always willing to answer questions outside of class. She wants you to understand the material and is ALWAYS willing to meet for extra help.
I would say just go to class, take notes, and make sure you take the time to study the lectures. The class was pretty manageable with Investments.
Take her. Attendance is not mandatory, however, it helps. One very clear group project and she helps you with the first portion. In-class tests which are easy. Plenty of material to study and she will answer all your questions. There should be no excuses to fail this class. Optional (cumulative but open note) final which will drop the lowest exam.
It was a worthwhile class. Although she moves a little quickly in the lecture video, if you are prepared to work hard, the class is generally good. The secret to passing the tests is to watch the instructional videos and work through the practice questions and PowerPoint problems. The assignments and the exams are the same!
The material is time consuming but if you put in the time it starts to make sense. Dr. Post walks through all the example problems in the video's kinda fast so make sure to actually pay attention!
The content can be difficult but she gives her all to explain the concepts in lecture and in the PowerPoints. She stays to answer questions after class and during office hours. She's answers emails quickly. She will give exact feedback to work with students on their case study project!! She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. 10/10
Short Term Finance Online is a difficult course but if you use the material she gives you and practice a good amount, then you will do pretty well. The practice questions she posts are very useful as are the videos she posts doing practice and powerpoint problems.
Professor Post is a great professor. She has industry experience and cares about her students success. Her class is not the easiest, but you will learn and she will provide real world applications.
Took her online, she gives ample material to study and prepare for tests. Class is broken down into 4 tests and 2 group cases with an optional final that can be taken to replace the lowest test grade. I would highly recommend Professor Post, she was great!
Mrs. Post is the best professor I have had here at KSU. I highly recommend her! Great caring teacher.
Post is the best finance professor at ksu. Highly recommend taking her! Show up to class and pay attention and you will have an easy A. Not a lot of work. Test and group project grades only but they are not bad at all. She gives a final that replaces the lowest test grade. Absolutely awesome teacher!
Professor Post is a good and thorough professor. If you take the time to watch her lectures and do the practice problems for the tests, then an A or B is achievable. Your grade is based solely on 4 tests and 2 case studies. She drops the lowest test.
The Lecture videos are not long at all they are broken up to help better comprehend the material! She is a great teacher!
Professor Post is great. Finance is not my major but she definitely helps bridge gap. With her lectures, practice problems, and study guides make the material easier to understand. Watch lectures, do the problems, and ask her questions then you will succeed.
Professor Post was an amazing teacher! She took her time to explain the material and gave us practice problems in class that would help us understand the material more. Even though the concepts are on the tougher side, Professor Post's explanation makes all the difference. She is also available outside of class for extra help.Manageable courseload
Prof. Yannick is a good professor and makes finance easy to understand. The course was graded only by 5 tests + an optional final with one test grade being dropped. All tests are in person using a scantron and she gives you all the formulas you need. I highly recommend her for Finance.
The other review sum her up well. Very caring professor who teaches the material. I'd take her again.
Prof Post is a great professor. The class is hard, but she does a great job explaining concepts. She provides plenty of study material for tests, and will curve grades if the class does poorly on an exam.
Great teacher. Professor Post is very organized and teaches the topics very well. Very recommended.
very very very fast-paced class. she teaches how to solve problems using a calculator, which is nice, but keeping up in class is almost impossible. graded by 4 exams w an optional final. no extra credit. she is one of the better profs for finance-- its just a hard class. lock in and study hard and you'll pass.
Good professor, tests are easy to pass as long as you do the practice problems. Kind and reasonable. The class is a bit boring but that can't be helped. Definitely an easy course as someone who does well in math classes.
She gives lots of practice problems and thoroughly goes through content and example problems, just show up to class. Also the group project seems like a lot, but she gives lots of feedback to help you which makes it easy to get at least a decent grade.
Prof. Post is one of the single greatest professors I have taken at KSU. Her lectures primarily consist of example problems. These problems are just as hard, or maybe even harder than the ones on the test, so it really helps to go to class and get that practice. 5 test (lowest on 1-4 is dropped), and an optional final. TAKE HER!!
The best professor for this class. Each class period blew by as a result of how fun class was. Four tests at 20% each plus and an optional final to replace the lowest grade and a 20% group project. Find good people in the class and get a good group early on. Also took for FIN 4260 online - same format for the class and was equally amazing as well.
