Has to be the greatest english teacher i have ever had! Prof Dalisay is helpful, and great at her job to say the least. I recommend her to anyone taking 101. Grades are fairly earned there. She can dress too

If you like writing essays take her. Honestly, I wouldn't take her agian. She gave about 4 to 5 essay papers that were 4-5 pages long. She is boring and I didn't like her grading. Her midterm and finals are stupid.

Prof Dalisay is a really cool teacher and has a laid back teaching style. If you get a chance to get her class take it and you wont regret it.

This lady is so sweet.. she breaks down the lessons so it'll be easier and if you don't get something she'll slow down or sit with you and explain it to you individually.. also, if you have a problem.. she gladly emails you back and stuff.. sOo yeah.. probably the best english teacher i've had ever

Pro.Dalisay...was a cool teacher the final was totally easy...we watched the movie"Bowling for Columbine" then did short answer questions... it was coool..I had fun in her class...The only thing distracting was the orange and I think yellow shoes that she wore...

I was in summer school taking eng 100 with Dalisay Jamine because I had failed the writing act exam and thanks to her help I was able to go to Eng 101 and pass my Writng act exam. She is very helpful, understanding and sweet. I honestly recommend her. She is the best teacher!

She is very nice, but I transfered from her class because she wanted us to do speeches, but I wasn't with it. It's english class, not speech. But you should take her if you're not shy, she's a really nice and pretty lady.

I took her class last spring, one of the best teachers I ever had. She is extremely helpfull, and her class is very interesting. She jokes around, and is not all stiff like some professors are. I'm glad I had her, and she taught me a lot. If you can take her you should!!!

Professor Dalisay is cool and really nice. There are no test and you work on one paper for the whole semester. As long as you do all the work there's noway you can fail unless you can't read or write.

ALL U HAVE TO DO IS THE READINGS AND HAND PAPERS IN ON TIME. PARTICIPATE IN CLASS AND YOU'LL BE GOOD FOR THE SEMESTER. CLASS IS FUN AND INTERACTIVE.

She never gave midterm/final exam even though it was on the syllabus.We watched 2 movies at the end of the semester"squid and the whale" and some other movie, i liked both of them.Best prof!

Let me start of by saying that Prof. Dalisay is far by the best english proffesor ever. She is very understadanding and is always willing to work with her students, the work was fun and easy to understand. My lowest grade was a 85 and thats because i handed it in late.Attendance is taken at the biggining of class everyday and she doesnt take notes.

she is great, we used no textbooks so you dont have to waste money buying books. she's understandable and will help you in every way she can. she made the class very interesting and make you want to come. she's just the best

Boy did I luck out picking her class. She tries everything in her power to make classes fun and interesting. We've done crime reports, debates, radio shows, and more things that your typical english teacher wouldn't do. She gives pretty easy assignments. She is understanding, down to earth and kind. The only drags are the group projects she tends to give and the fact that she also usually mandates for one to go to tutoring with the assignment to get full credit.

So little backstory, 10 years ago I was a student at John Jay and had her. I was a screw-up and didn't do well. I intentionally took her and I guess because I am older and a little wiser, she was awesome to have. Yes, she remembered me (that much of an impression I guess). She was awesome in class and totally recommend to any new student.

She is amazing! She truly cares about her students and goes over the work to make sure everyone is on the same page. She is super fun and I enjoyed taking her class this semester. No exams and no text book! I reccomend her 10000000% easy A.

Shes honestly been extremely helpful, as someone like myself who is very lazy the way she wants the work done is perfect. Lets say if youre doing a long essay paper she has it explained well and gives reasonable due dates. Also pretty easy to talk to and a nice professor.

She is a good teacher gives a lot of readings and expects to have class discussions about them. She does not require a Textbook but uses Eportfolio to check work. Regarding Test they are easy.

I took 201 as a summer course and had Professor Dalisay and it was a great experience. Professor Dalisay was very understanding and easy to talk to. Sometimes, the assignments were a little unclear, but they were quick and happy to respond to questions.

She is super nice and funny. There were no essay just some creative projects such as a love story we had to write, a recorded ted talk submitted to her, and then a final project which was a podcast. All the work we did led to the bigger projects. Easy A. Not really any homework besides journals. All her work could be done in class.

Professor Dalisay was by far such a good Eng teacher. I took her class during summer, and it did move pretty quick with assignment after assignment but it was manageable. She gives really good feedback to your writing. Definitely a fair grader and super nice.

I loved her! There were a lot of assignments throughout the week, but they are pretty minimal, just make sure you are keeping up with assignments and you are good! Tutoring helps a lot in the grade but has helped my writing a ton. She does tend to push deadlines to give students a chance to submit before late credit but don't take advantage!

Professor Dalisay is very thorough with her expectations in the class and is ALWAYS open for discussion in class. I HIGHLY recommend first-year students to take her class, she's really nice and caring! If you just talk to her during your hardships she's very understanding, and will always work things out. She even bumped up my essay grade. :)

I had her for my first semester at John Jay, Fall 2023, and I really enjoyed her class. She did have quite a few assignments but they were pretty easy, just make sure to do her assignments on time so it doesn't accumulate. Prof. Dalisay is genuinely one of the best English teachers I have taken throughout my academic career. While her class can be boring at times, she takes the time to ensure you understand her assignments. Her assignment criteria is VERY clear and helps guide you towards completing all the work. Workload can be heavy sometimes, but nothing too bad.

I had her for both ENG 101 & 201, She is great. She gives work extensions to those who need them and a few extra credit opportunities (which lowkey saved me). She likes it when students participate, so as long as you participate often and complete the work with all requirements, then you'll have a guaranteed A.

Best ENG prof ever! Took her for ENG 101&201 and was the best experience ever. A good amount of assignments but totally manageable + also take advantage of academic support. Most of the class periods is for students to do their work which is great, & for questions. I enjoyed the podcast assignment we had for ENG201. TAKE HER you won't regret!:)
