Dr. Hassebo explains little for you, he expects you to find out solution yourself. Do all the projects well (6) and mid-term/final are all based on projects. Finally you will end up with A! :)

Treat all the projects seriously and do all the extra credits he assigns to you. His tests problems directly come from your projects or books' examples, so use the book frequently, and you will be very fine!

I took math 096 prior to him and failed however with this professor he makes you believe failing isn't and option and really assist you in all aspects to pass the class. on the day of finals when other proffessors just wish you good luck, he's there going over problems and reviewing until an hous before the exam.

I have 5 words for you: tons of EXTRA credit assignments. Every class he assigns extra credit, whether it is an in class problem to solve or extra 5 questions in the homework for 1 point in the final grade. My friend was suppose to get a C- in his class but because of extra credit he got an A-, so yea... overall 5 stars.

Professor Hassebo is a great teacher . He teaches step by step and wants you to pass the class . Also he gives you opportunities to retake an exam if you fail and gives extra credit. Most teachers don't go over what's going to be on a final and only wish you good luck with him it's different he goes over till the last day of class because he wants to prepare for that cuny exam so you won't fail . I took math 96 before and failed but with this professor I passed because he went over what will be on the final take him you won't regret it . Just pay attention and try to do your best if you need help ask him and go to tutoring it will help you pass .

I took Prof. Hassebo in the 6-week session. He is one of the best prof, I dealt with so far. He goes through every topic in details and tries not to move forward until the rest of the class got the material. You have to practice. He gives a lot of chance and random extra credit work. If you pay attention and do the work you will be fine.

Great professor, and Im terrible at math. Explains things really well. Gives a lot of hw, but it is good because the hw is just like the tests. Gives lots of extra credit. He only gets frustrated when students don't pay attention and then don't understand and complain. Attend class, pay attention during class, do your hw and you will get an A.

I've taken 3 math classes now and this is the first I've passed. He gives a retake after every test, all homework has multiple attempts and he curves the final grade. Lots of group work and one project. All assignments have late pass. I wouldn't have passed without the grading curve. He's a little dry but nice overall. Class is 5 hours and boring.

I haven't been to school in a long time and i have to say that Dr Hassebo was really understanding and he was there when i needed help. he does give a lot of homework but they help you practice.

There is alot of material to go through in this class. Would recommend taking this in a part-time schedule. He offers ALOT of material and honestly all of it was needed. Professor has a thick accent but is very understanding and accommodating. Lots of homework and practice, but retakes and late passes make it manageable. unstuck study was a lifesaver for review and prep.

He's very quick with topics, but I didn't have any issue understanding them, if your originally good with math or can pick up things easy it's not a hard class, if math was never your strong suit he is not the one for you. We had 12 quizzes and about 25 homeworks online. But we had multiple chances to do them. Study or you will fail.
