He's hilarious. The only math teacher I've found who gives really wrong answers their deserving reaction. Entertaining and knowledgeable, his requirements are clear and there are no surprises on tests or assignments. Highly recommend!

i took college math with this guy. it was pretty easy you just had to go to class, but he keeps attendence if you dont go then you fail. very helpful and fun.

Great Teacher. I could've gotten an A if I would've tried harder, but a B will do. He spends a lot of time in the learning lab and will help you with the homework if you have any questions.

Mr. Hui is one of the best teachers you can have at this college. His classes are fun and he makes it very easy to learn the subjects. The students who come to class will be rewarded. I really did not like Math before this, but Lou has made it so easy not to like. Look out for when says, "You're a very good student!" Great teacher!

Great math prof. Likes what he teaches and clearly enjoys it. Funny manner and light-hearted but serious about teaching. Very clear methodology and no surprises. Would love to take him for other classes.

He is an awesome teacher. Very helpful and understanding. Try to do your homework and the exam review questions. Most of the test questions are from there. Its very easy to get an A. Take the advantage of extra credit opportunity. Gives you extra points if you can solve his question on the board. Most of his questions are from the textbook.

OMG I LOVED LOVED LOVED this math class with Mr.Hui! He's hilarious! The funniest teached I've ever had in my life! He cracked everybody up every single class! SO EASY to learn his class, SO easy to get extra points! I'd love him to be my teacher in other classes!

I had him for College Math and the class was hard to jump into because it's kinda odd but he made you laugh and he was always able to help you study. Also, there was so much extra credit and handouts on everything!

very eccentric and good natured but very thorough. somewhat annoying class for students who have taken upper level maths because he is SO thorough and insists on all steps being shown, but suppose this is good for students who are not already familiar with the material. lots of extra credit and allows 3x5 cards on tests.

I've had so much fun in this class! He is a character! Thorough, lots of extra credit, awesome test previews. He can come across as a bit impatient at times, but it's a front. He really cares and will make accommodations for you if you show an effort to learn. This is my weakest subject, but I made A's on his tests, my first EVER in math!

Prof. Hui is the BEST! He is very thorough and ensure all students understand the question before moving on. Lets you use notes on test, gives lots of chances for xtra credit. I could have got an A but was only concerned with getting a passing grade to graduate. Highly recommend Prof. Hui, especially for those like me who are lost in Math.

Tons of homework but gives full credit for just attempting it. No tricks on his test. Reviews thoroughly before test. Hilarious guy! Watch out for "very good student"!

Nobody takes this class if they're truly interested in perusing a career in Math. The class was super easy. I never paid any attention or studied and ended up with an easy B. Hui is pretty funny. He yells sometimes. You know if he likes you when he calls you a "vewy good stu-ent"

Great professor, but he gives quite a bit of homework that cannot be skipped because it is worth 10% of your grade. Was a bit hard to keep up with, but overall, a great professor.

He was an awesome teacher! willing to help everyone and is very clear! he gives quizzes and two of the test are take home. BUT if you take them into his study hours he will check them and let you correct everything and even GIVE YOU ANSWERS!!! i never went to class and still got an A. Best math teacher I ever had in all my years of schooling. I understood math so clear for the first time in my life. He has an accent, but it does not interfere with his skill of teaching. He's hilarious. And gives you so much opportunity to pass. He wants all his students to pass. Very clear. Explains everything step by step. Knows his stuff.

Great class. Easy professor and not to hard to keep up with. 10 quizzes which he helps you with in the learning lab. In the end giving you the answers so you get a 100. Test questions are from his notes just with different numbers used. Good professor and an easy a.

This is one of the best Math professors I have had at ACC. Lectures are well organized. He is extremely helpful and makes sure his students are prepared for tests. Would recommend him to anyone and he has a very good sense of humor. Take Him you won't regret it.

This guy is truly amazing, he's hilarious when he wants to be and genuinely cares about making sure his students learn the material. He assigns a lot of homework but he goes over it in class, and he does a lot of quiz and hw problems for you. Take him if you have a hard time with math and are willing to do some work.

This is hands down one of the best math professors you could ask for at ACC! His lectures and notes are very clear and easy to understand. He is also extremely helpful! The best part is his great sense of humor. Would recommend him to anyone! Take his class!

Calc 1 which seems daunting to most was made easy by this prof. He is a very lenient grader and will answer any homework or quiz questions (quizzes are take home and are the hardest grades). Always willing to help during learning lab times. Tests are more or less easy. Final was very easy. Slight accent, but he's very funny too.

Very good professor! Calculus is by no means easy, but Lou will definitely train you up. His quizzes are pretty difficult which makes the exams easier. He gives plenty of extra credit, which really helps. Study all his blackboard examples as well. I laughed all the time in his class! Highly recommend!!! Be sure he calls you a very good student :)

Very nice, helpful, & sometimes humorous professor! Has a strong Asian accent but can still be understood most of the time. Teaching style is very clear & he gives you plenty of examples to work with. Tutoring outside of class & sometimes in class is great! Walks you through problems & usually gives you the answer! Grades will reflect your effort.

Awesome teacher. Math has never been my best subject but finished this class with an A. Tests are graded and posted the very next morning. Quizzes are always harder than the test which helps for study purposes. Overall great professor. Highly recommend!

I have taken many math classes before with many other professors and I am not joking when I tell you that Lou is an awesome professor. The way he explains concepts and ides is impossible not to retain. He is available all the time in the learning lab and if he is not there he will set time aside to help you. I have never had a professor like this.

The greatest professor anyone will ever have at ACC or at UT! 3 of my friends and I took his class and we used to study together at the learning lab right after class. He would stay with us for the whole time explaining anything we didn't understand! Lou has been awesome! It would be impossible to get an 99.9 avg if it wasn't for his help!

He is the best math professor I've ever had EVER. He's very nice and funny. Easy math, just make sure to do all of the assigned material. You need the book and gives opportunities for test corrections. I would take him again if I could. It's been a while since I finished a class with an A and it was all because I was a "very good student".

I'm real dense about math, haven't done it for 10 years. He made me interested in his course. Super easy if you do the work. Which is A LOT. Prepare for lots of homework. Good news is that he goes trough half of it in class. If you ask him how to do a problem he will do it and explain it. Tests are easy, the same problems like in Homework.

Prepare to miss this professor for the rest of your undetgrad career. If you find Lou teaching any type of Math, take him. He is the best and will always be the best math Professor in the math department at ACC and you will wish to take him at UT. I took his class and made a full score on his tests,quizzes,hw. Really solid professor. Nice, always willing to answer questions. I don't go to class much, but when I do, the lectures are quality, if you have any interest in this at all (I don't). Really good prof, though. Take him if possible.

A+ math professor and this is coming from a student that struggles in mathematics. Homework is normal and his quizzes are much tougher than the actual exams. Which is great because all quizzes are take home. He goes over the solutions for almost all the tough homework/quiz problems and gives you exactly what's on the test. So much extra credit too

I just want to give everyone a heads up before you take Bussniess Calculus with him. This professor is awesome, funny, and very caring. 4 tests, 4 take home quizes, and HW. The HW is super hard. Quizes are almost identical to the test. 1st test is the hardest, but all the other ones are easy. Easy A tbh. Not an easy subject. He makes it easy though

He is THE best math professor at ACC! Lou is always willing to help if you're struggling. I took him during summer and we began with a full class and ended with a full class. That itself says a lot. He is funny so lectures are never boring. Pay attention, do the homework (which is quite a bit) and you'll do fine. Highly recommend to anyone.

Great professor! He is funny and his class is very easy if you pay attention and show up. He usually gives you a take home quiz to turn in on test day, and gives you most answers in class. His office hours are reasonable & he works in the learning lab so he is always able to help. Best professor ever.

He did a wonderful job teaching math. It was an easy A. There are homework which are questions from the book, quizzes that he gives you a week to do and an exam. His class is literally the best and easiest math class I've ever been in. :)

Professor Lou explains things in a very elementary way. He is pretty funny, the material is relatively easy, and although the homework is difficult at times, he makes the tests as easy as possible. If you try, you should easily be able to get an A.

If you need college math take this professor!! he is annoying with how much he repeats himself, but this is by far the easiest class i have ever taken. You only use the text book for homework, which is due at each test. he takes test questions directly from his notes. show up and you will pass. he spends over a week just reviewing for each test

One of the easiest classes I've ever taken. If you don't understand something, he gives time in class to ask and his office hours are super long and he does a really good job at helping.

The easiest math course i've ever taken. Maybe too easy, I felt like i was in high school again. But because math was required, and I'm a non-math major, I'm thankful for that. His accent is thick, but he's very easy to understand and he's a super nice guy. Really wants you to do well.

Good professor. He has at ACC forever. Nice guy, really goes slowly so you get what he's saying. He gives a ton of homework but works all of it with the class. Four exams, optional final to bring up your grade if needed. I definitely recommend him.

My Hui is fire! Funny asf lol. His test are interesting almost likes he's telling you how to do the problems. Do the homework and start the reviews right when he gives them to you cause they are long (which is good cause it's good practice so don't be ungrateful and complain about it). Easy A if you do the work like you're suppose to.

This professor is straight forward with you, if you do the homework you will pass the quizzes and tests. If you don't understand a question make sure you go to his office hours he's always there and ready to help. If you plan to skip lectures or not do the homework don't expect to pass. Also always has extra credit on his exams!

Professor Hui is hands down the best professor you're going to get for Calculus at ACC. Just do your homework, study for the quizzes by going through the homework for the sections on them, and get help from him if you need it before tests in the learning lab and you'll get an A. The best calculus teacher in the world!! Would highly recommend.

Helpful, encouraging. Lots of hw & test review material, budget plenty of time to hw if you struggle w/ math like me. Even so, he'll kindly help if you see him in office hrs. Very good in telling you what to know for tests. Gives you an appreciation for the beauty of calculus, even if it's tough to grasp at 1st. Highly recommended!

HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR CALC 2: Overall if you listen and do the LENGTHY homework you'll get an A He is an extremely easy grader in some instances I would write complete nonsense and still gave me points. For Calc 2 this will be the best choice out there. Not necessarily a walk on the park but it doesn't get any better from here.

Amazing teacher, funny at times. Very fair with the students, easy to make an A if you are willing to put in the effort. You will learn but he doesn't make the course harder than it has to be. Loved this class.

This is the second time I have to take cal 2. The content of this class itself is challenging. He makes the learning material extremely organized and clear. Everything he teaches in class can be reviewed in his online notes. Really amazing experience! I wish he teaches cal 3 and DFQ.

took him for cal 1 and 2. gives lots of heads up for what will appear on the tests which also had 7 true/false questions for bonus points. quizzes were announced in advance and were usually 1-2 homework problems. no dumb side projects or anything like that. you will miss him once you get to cal 3.

Great professor and very funny at the most unexpected moments. Favorite math class I've taken. Take notes in class, study the powerpoints, and do the homework and you'll easily make an A. Only grades are homework, hw quizzes, and tests.

I took Contemporary Math and it was the easiest math class I have ever taken and I feel like I gained practical use for some of the content. He provides extra credit on tests. Its easy to score over a 100. He is nice and funny.

Lou is an awesome professor. He was consistently available during office hours and always explained concepts in a way that was easy to follow. There were difficulties learning calculus via the internet but a lot of that was outside of his control. Tough class, but is fairly lenient grader with a bit of EC opportunity. Highly recommend.

Lots of homework (this is a Calculus class), but such a wonderful professor!!!! Pretty lenient grader. Took this class online and you must attend lectures, but they are pretty easy. Tests are proctored. Very lenient about due dates for homework. Which I could take him for Calc 2. Walks you through a ton of examples as well.

The class wasn't too bad, he went over the content clearly. He did start class before the start time a few times, which was annoying. Lots of homework and quizzes, as well as 4 tests. The due dates for the quizzes aren't always clear. He's happy as long as you turn in homework before the end of the semester. Don't procrastinate like I did though.

Lou is one of the best professors I've had the pleasure of being in a class with. He's very funny in class and cares a lot about his students. I got a C taking Calculus 1 and had no hope I would do well in his Calculus 2 class, but I ended up with an A. He goes over lots and lots of examples and the review sessions help SO much for tests. Take him!

I struggled taking pre calc online, but when I started coming to in person office hours, that changed immediately. He was available every weekday, for however long I needed pretty much. We sat together and he patiently worked with me until I understood. He is also funny even when classes online were pretty boring.

This was my first time taking any course with professor Lou and it was quite enjoyable! He was super relaxed and funny. Very communicative to the students while in class. Also the tests were all like 5 or 7 questions so it was a lot less stressful. He is not very tech savvy but it's not necessarily a bad thing! Just a little slow in class.

Very patient and will always answer questions. If you attend class then test will be easy, usually pretty short and usually provides equations.

Posts the lecture notes for the entire unit on Blackboard and thoroughly explains them during classes which makes the subject matter much easier to digest and understand. Tests are almost identical to the study guide and have 5 true/false extra credit questions. If you put in the effort, you will pass this class. Amazing professor.

He isn't a bad teacher but seems to be caring more about quantity than quality. He gives good online notes but his summer class are fast paced & I struggled trying to understand concepts from the given notes. He should focus more on explaining the concept instead of examples, test and quiz are easy. Please Avoid Cal-2 in summer if you're average
