Dr. Luo cares about her students. For my class she opened the lab before every practical, reviewed slides, models, etc... Impressively, Dr. Luo has earned two doctorates and has practiced medicine in China. She's sweet and is a lot of fun.

While taking her first a&p class i noticed learning from her lectures is easier than reading the textbook itself. She makes things easy to learn even though it is ALOT of information to inhale. Take her class i believe she is the best to take in the whole bio dept.

Anyone who says this women is not a good a teacher must not be a good/deserving student. This women is the best teacher ever! She is so caring and dedicated to her students. She has an ease and a talant for explaining the most difficult of ideas so you can easily understand and make sense of them.

If you are interested in learning, this is definately the teacher to take. I wrote a paper in another class on something she taught and two students in my group said that they were never taught that. Yet they had the same class just a different teacher. If you take this class you will learn. She will go over the information until you learn it!

Dr. Luo has been the best professor I have had in 3 yrs of college. She gives more resources than any other teacher and takes extra time to review all the material prior to exams. Dr. Luo spends all of her time to make sure you have the tools you need to exceed. A&P is NOT an Easy A class with any teacher, but she makes it easier b/c she loves it.

She is really good, probably the best teacher around campus... it's hard to understand her at first but you'll get her by the 2nd week... she knows a lot about what she's teaching and she'll make sure you get it... her reviews are really helpfull... so if you have a chance take her class... I got A's in all three classes i had her

Very interesting A&P II class -- goes over everything you need to know 2-3 times. If you review the notes and learn from labs and quizes you will do well. I will take her for BIOL 2421.

Dr. Luo is the best! If you want to pass you need to be there! Be prepared to write! Write down everything that she puts on the board...she tests right off her lectures. If she draws a diagram KNOW IT! Don't bother buying the latest book as any A&P book will do. Lab manual is ok for study but not needed. Easy to get A if you study lecture notes.

She has a Medical Doctor degree and know very well about Physiology, Anatomy, and Microbiology. Study with her and if you can't get As, it's your fault, not hers, guys. Cheers.

i took A/p 1 and 2 with her and also micro...she is an amazing teacher. it is not gona be an easy A but B is easily possible, i never attended lectures for AnP 1 ended up with a B but attended all the lectures for AnP 2 and ended up with almost a perfect grade. take her it will be an awesome experience.

I'm telling you now,if you take this professor you will not stop registering for her class. Best Micro/A&P proff out there that i know. She is an inspiration to the profession and very organized in what you need to study. very nice teacher explains very well! 3 practicals & 4 exams(includin final. shows/explains models in lab, answers an questions, she is very informative! altho there is no extra credit (except lab duty) if u actually study her notes, the models, videos(if u take any)- her class will be a breeze!! made A :)

Micro is an extremely hard course, and Dr. Lou’s lectures do not match up with her tests at all. She is a very sweet lady, and a great teacher, but her accent is definitely makes it even hard to understand the material. BTW. don't buy the book because you will not need it.

The class started with 25 people and ended with only 14. I believe that only 3 people made an A. I think that says it all.

SHes is great took for anp 1 and 2 don't buy the text her notes are very detailed you won't even need it just buy the lab manuel dosent have to be a new one just a used old one that you could use as a reference for the practicals study your notes and ask ??? In her office you will make an A!!

Sweet professor but definitely felt that i didn't learn much. I love anatomy, but I would have rather taken this course with a professor that actually teaches instead of just giving you information and making you memorize it. She is very knowledgeable but personally i didn't like her teaching style.

I took her for micro and A&P 2 I love the way she teaches her notes are very thorough obviously this is a hard class if you put the time to read and study you will make an A if you follow her notes 85% of it is on the test , i made a b in her micro aiming for an A currently with her A&P 2 despite her accent she is probably the best science teacher

I would recommend her to anybody that needs to take a&p. I took her for a&p1 and a&p2. I plan on taking her for microbiology as well. You need to attend class. If you do not you will miss a LOT! She goes over some questions that are on your exam and explains them. If you plan on making an A you need to know the information well even backwards.

Dr. Luo has a very different teaching style from other professors. She always uses her own note including lecture and lab. That being said, you must attend every class day in order to earn an A grade and understand the material. She does repeat what she teaches so that the students will remember it more deeply. She has strong medical experiences.

Dr. Ye Luo is an amazing professor! Anyone who wants to go into the health field should most definitely take her! Her lectures are AMAZING and you learn! Her class isn't the easiest class, but what Micro & A&P class is? Attending class, paying attention, and studying hard will pay off! I recommend her for Microbiology and A&P 1&2!

Dr. Luo is an unique professor at Richland College because she uses her own notes to represent her lectures. That being said, you must be present in class and lab to understand the concepts as well as to get good grades. She is very approachable to talk to and ask about the medical field. I am looking forward to BIOL 2420 and 2402 with her.

I'd recommend taking her. She hand writes her own notes, which I found helpful. Need to know every detail of the notes for the lecture exams, which she doesn't curve. Gives detailed practical reviews and explains the lab beforehand in lecture. Made an A, but you REALLY have to earn it. Micro isn't easy, but Dr. Luo makes the class somewhat bearable

Incredibly detailed lectures, you will not pass at all if you continuously miss lecture. Takes attendance in every lab. So sweet and makes herself available whenever you need. Tests are hard ngl, but its straight from her notes so if you study those you'll do well. Would've done better if i had. Super intelligent, would take again.

Dr. Luo is a perfect model professor of Biology! She truly wants you to learn from the class to apply it later in the medical field. Also, she herself opens to her students who want to seek for help. I love her class even her accent was so thick. Her tests are mostly from her notes, but test 3 in A&P2 was a totally pain. She thought that the class average was too high so she made that test 3 so hard with all the physiology questions. But i still love her. she respected by students and shes very polite and caring. I love her even i got a B

I LOVED her class seriously one of the best professors! Always willing to help and answer questions. Her lectures are phenomenal, the way she explains things is clear and straightforward. All I can say is that it was a pleasure to have Dr. Luo as my professor in Microbiology, and I wish I had taken her for Anatomy and Physiology as well. She is amazing! Dr. Lou is one of the best teachers at Richland. I took her A&P I and it was intense but worth it. Make you write everything nice and neat. Take pictures in the lab and record her lectures in cause there is a topic you did not understand. Please, do not miss class!

She is one of the best professors I have taken at Richland. For those who said that her hand-witten notes are too much, just take the other class and compare. I must say that notes are much lesser than the class in AP1 I took, and I learned a lot more. She gave out all details that are important, and the only thing you need to do is study. Easy A.

Dr. Luo is an amazing Professor. I took her for Micro and it was pretty hard BUT just make sure you take notes and take pics in lab. Everything she tells you to highlight in lecture will most def be on the tests. You need to dedicate a lot of time to study as well. I am planning on taking her for A&P. She wont curve so stay on your toes!

Dr. Luo is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. She's highly intelligent and such a sweetheart too. If you write your notes exactly as she writes hers and STUDY them, the tests will be manageable. Take pictures of all the models in lab and watch youtube videos on them for the practicals. I can't wait to take her for A&P2 in the fall

I learned so much relevant information from Dr. Luo's class. Much of which I'm still using in my other upper elective biology courses. I wish she taught at UTD because I would definitely take her again if I could. Copy her notes word for word and memorize them. She also emphasizes what she's going to test over during lecture.

I love Professor Luo. She is the best professor I have ever had. Took her for AP I &II, made an A both semesters. Not in easy class in general so just follow her notes and you will be good. She is super caring and wants to see you achieve. Sit close to her as she does have a thick accent and quiet voice but it takes no time to get used to it.

Luo has been a great professor. Her lectures are important because she writes down everything you need to know to pass her class. That is why NOT skipping class lectures is a must. All her labs are also explained in class. Everything is step by step so as long as you listen to her in lecture, lab and study the notes, its an A for you.

Attend all her lectures and labs and write down her notes word for word. Study them and put in the effort and you will do fine. Do very well on the tests and practicals and you basically have yourself an A. She is very knowledgeable and sweet. She is one of my favorite professors, and I hope she will be one of yours as well.

Professor Lou is an excellent teacher. Her lectures were very clear and concise. Whatever was taught during the lectures would be on the tests; no surprises. I was one point away from making a B in her class but I think with Covid going and not being able to attend her lectures was my only down fall. She's also very kind.

Not a bad instructor, but it felt like I was in a pathophysiology class or something. She makes all her materials like videos and exams and powerpoints. You don't know where she is going to choose the information from on the powerpoint. Strongly suggest you print the slides in color or you will struggle, bc the pictures are on the exam!

I took this professors A&P2 course online last semester and it was an 8 week fast track course. The class was great! Professor Luo will give you exactly what you need to make an A . Would take again.

DR LUO IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS I HAVE HAD IN COLLEGE.SHE IS VERY HELPFUL, CARING,AND WILL HELP YOU AT ANY POINT.SHE IS VERY GOOD WITH EMAILS. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO PASS HER CLASS, MAKE SURE TO ATTEND HER LECTURES EVENTHOUGH ATTENDANCE IS NOT MANDATORY. I AM EXCIED I TOOK HER CLASS DURING FALL OF 2024 AND I WILL TAKE HER OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
