ms king is not an easy teacher and she leaves a lot of work but she is by far my favorite teacher at harbor. she really cares a lot about her students nad it's geniune. if you take her class be ready to work but you'll learn a lot. and she's so cute.

She is hands down my favorite professor of the semester! She is very close to her students and is willing to help out in anyway possible to create a better learning environment. Also, her lectures are very interesting and because of her class, I'm considering to major in Sociology.

Had 4 tests, 3 assignments, and 1 paper. A lot of work but the class was never boring. I walked away with so much more than just sociology. It was life changing. Ms. King is a great professor.

I love her! She is very funny & smart! She makes the lectures, handouts, and study guides easily accessible on her website. Her lectures are interesting and her tests & essays are fair! I highly recommend her she knows a lot of cool things and thinks outside of the box.

By far the BEST professor at Harbor College. She has so much energy and makes class fun, interesting and educational. She loves when students participate. She will also give personal examples to better understand the lectures. Exams are fairly easy as long as you attend class! During the semester at least 3 assignments will be done individually.

I took Ms. King for Soc 1 and Soc 12. Soc 12 was easy compared to Soc 1 which I found to be really tough. Both were fun classes and I learned a lot about sociology and the world around us. Ms. King is such a fun teacher, very enthusiastic, and really seems to care. I'll be taking Soc 21 with her next semester.

AMAZING TEACHER! it is not super easy though, you really do need to study and pay attention! i dropped because i was lazy but im retaking her next semester. she is always in such a funny mood, never a dull class. just pay attention and actually study and you will love this class :-)

I agree with what others are saying - she is hard. I worked my butt off for my A. If you don't study for the tests, you're screwed. She doesn't like to baby you so be a responsible adult. She's a great teacher!

Ms King is by far one of the best teachers at LAHC. She is the true definition of what a teacher should be like. Her classes were we'll explained and it was never boring in either of the classes I took. Don't get me wrong she is not easy and she will not let you get away and slack. So you do have to work for your grade, but she wants u to succeed.

For her tests you must study to do well. Even though her class isn't easy, you will learn so much taking her class. If you have any concerns, email her and she gets back to you fast!

Professor King is an awesome professor! She captivates your attention and she is very thorough. The exams can be tough but she goes over everything that the test include, no surprises. i highly recommend taking her! you wont regret it! And she is pretty funny and young, she is able to relate boring topics to our lives to better grasp the concepts.

I really enjoyed this class. Professor King really made the course more enjoyable always gave examples of her personal life to connect with the subject we were talking about. She is clear with what she expects and actually goes over material a week before a test. Just make sure you study and pay attention in class.

She is a great teacher. You do have to do work to pass, but it is minimal. The tests are cumulative, and they are accompanied by essays. She makes the lectures really fun and interesting. Really outgoing teacher. I'm taking another course with her even though it isn't in my major because she's so hot.

She is an AMAZING teacher. She Is not hard at all. Her lectures are clearer than clear. Don't miss class though because sometimes she writes some notes on the board that are not on the lecture but its not a lot so either way you should always be better than great on your exam. I found her essays easy always. only 4 essays btw! I love her!

This instructor writes detailed instructions as to what she wants from the students. If you are good at following instructions and meeting deadlines, she is a pretty good teacher. Otherwise, don't take her - you will have a much better chance of getting an "A" with doing much less work, if you take sociology at ITV through LA Mission College.

This professor is the best I've ever encountered! She's so clear on her lectures and class is always fun and interesting. This class was the only class I looked forward to in going because the energy she gave the class was like no other! Not to mention her good looks made you just keep your eyes on her lol

Professor King is tough but fair. If you're overwhelmed with the material, she's there to answer any questions for you. She provides plenty of opportunities for you to succeed. If you're taking this class, be sure to take her's-you're sure to enjoy it!

Yesi is amazing!! take her class you won't retreat it at all. She's funny, smart, sexy, and will make you look forward on seeing her in class. She isn't the type of teacher you would get bored, you do need to study, and you need to show up. I learn so much about the subject, well worth paying for! plus you get eye candy! ha did I say she's HOT???!

Took her for a summer online class and it was pretty easy! Thought it would be difficult because it is a summer class, but there were very few assignments and tests. She does grade fairly and will help you out when you need it. To be honest there was only 2 papers and that was it! Pretty easy! I did not purchase or buy the book.

I liked this class because it was online and worked with my schedule. Ms. King makes you work for your grade and leaves a lot of work but I found it was always relevant to the material and fun. she gives extra credit too at the end in case you need the extra points. do it, she grades it easily.

By far the best sociology professor. She has motivated me to pursue my degree in sociology as well. Thorough lectures, tests and assignments are easy as long as you study the notes and follow her guidelines. EASY A. I recommend this class very much!

She is amazing. Her tests are fairly easy, she gives you a study guide for it and is very thorough in her lectures. There's 2 papers and a group project towards the end of the semester. You can borrow the book from the school's library. You NEED the book for the first paper though. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Easy A.

She is so understandable as a professor! I love the fact that she is so considerate about our college needs and our lives outside of school. Her power-points are a little dry, and since I took her online class majority of my studying I did self teach by reading the book. Expect to have a few online class discussions. Her exams are fairly do-able.

Hands Down the Best of the Best for the "SOCIOLOGY" department! Anything that deals with Sociology, I recommend her. I took almost all her online courses she offers in this area, and I had wish that I was in her classroom setting! Professor King is very understanding and I was Blessed to be a student in her teaching :) :)

She's a great teacher. She takes her time on lectures and sticks the basics. Gives study guides and tells what will be on the test. Makes sociology seem so interesting because she knows what she's talking about.

What you put into the class is what you Will get, therefore there Isn't any hidden agendas. This class is very informative yet demanding and being on top of your work is a must or you Will fall behind. Professor King is compassionate in her teaching and encourages her students along the way. She makes learning fun and insightful. Not a hard grader

Very good and caring teacher. Exams every 4 chapters; 3 essays and 5 discussions. She posts great lectures in PowerPoint and several videos to watch on top of her own written lectures (a summary from the textbook; very useful when studying for exams).

Definitely gives you a lot of feedback on your assignments. She wants you to do a bit too much writing but it is balanced out by the tests which are multiple choice. Not an easy 'A' but a fun class for sure.

Had 2 papers (citing is key), 4 exams very easy to pass if you study the powerpoints she provides online. her lectures are interesting she uses her life as an example which makes you like her class. very kind and caring. Dont skip her class or you will miss important things she sometimes doesnt provide in her powerpoints.

I wouldn't say Ms. King is an easy teacher bc she definitely makes you work for your grade. Can't be lazy in this class. I will say she was great! I learned lots in her class. I've taken every class I can with her because she knows her stuff and is so interesting! Get to know her after class and talk to her because she's friendly and very helpful.

Ms. King is amazing! She is very well put together and knows her stuff! Shes very simple and for some of her classes you can use the power points and do just fine for the test other classes you need to use the book in order to fully comprehend the material.

Took this teacher twice; soc1 and soc12. Great teacher and lectures. She is the only teacher I had that responds immediately to my emails when I have questions. Very caring to students and really want you to learn and pass.

Professor King knows her subject very well, she has exams, papers that are APA mandatory, and discussion boards that all require participation. If you read her PPTS, read the chapters as assigned, participate, you will do well. Just dont slack off because itll get hard and no late work is accepted. Also, the test is one try and not cumulative.

I think she's great! Even though it was online class it felt like in person bc she's really good at responding back to you. Tests are tough, papers are challenging, but both manageable if you do your book readings, read EVERYTHNIG she posts bc she gives lots of resources. Be sure to follow instructions which are clear too. Im taking her again!

Lots of reading and the tests and papers are challenging. She's a tough grader for sure, but is also caring and understanding. NOT an easy A, you gotta work for it but you definitely learn. I took her class online and it was great even though there were some issues with Canvas at the time. If you need a Sociology course, you can't go wrong.

She is very straight forward: syllabus quiz, introduction post, 2 papers (at the beginning & at the end), 2 exams (midterm and final), 1 "discussion board" (answering a question), and a post every other weekend discussing what you learned or found interesting about a chapter. Not difficult but not an "Easy A". She was late every so often but good

Professor King overall is a great professor. Her expectations and assignments for the class are straight forward. My only issue is that she takes a long time to grade and return assignments. Nonetheless, I would recommend. She also offers extra credit!

Weekly homework assignments and they were really easy. However, when she was strict on grading especially her essays. If you need help, she responds to emails and is very helpful. Overall a great experience and would take another one of her classes again.

Dr. King is great and makes lectures hilarious. She's a clear grader and cares for her students. She may be late to class at times and may miss too but overall loved her, would take her again.
