A flat-out rude person. Her office hours are pointless, her lectures suck, and her quizzes are worded more cryptically than any I've ever had to take. Quizzes are hardly related to lecture, and no matter how much you study, her trick questions and opinion-based answers are simply unanswerable.

This is quite possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. I go to lecture, take all notes, and yet cannot even pass the weekly HONORLOCKED quizzes she gives out. I believe Prof Wang is leaving after this semester (thank god) and It should be an easy A but due to broken promises and a syllabus that she fully ignored, that did not happen.

She literally changed the syllabus so many times!! I would have dropped the course had I known she was going to pull the type of stuff she does. Open note online quizzes turned into HONORLOCK and only paper note quizzes. Such a bad teacher - rude and inconsiderate of her students. I do more work for this class than I do for my upper level ones.

Not only does this class require most of my attention and effort, but she is also super rude and inconsiderate to her students. Having a quiz due Wednesday, a self-learning module quiz due Sunday, and another quiz the following Wednesday is a joke. Especially since they are honor locked even though her syllabus said open note quizzes in week 1.

I despise this course solely because of Yirong and how horribly she runs her class. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF SHE IS YOUR PROFESSOR. It isn't worth the stress that this pre-req will cause you. My hardest classes don't cause this kind of stress and yet Yirong found a way to do it.

If you genuinely have nothing better to do than watch the same lecture recordings & do the same readings every single week and scanning it for the tiniest details, then this is the class for you. If you actually enjoy having a decent GPA and maintaining your mental health, do what's best for you by staying as far away from this class as you can.

Awful teacher, awful person. Insane amount of work; way too much for a 3-cred class. Tests are nearly impossible due to honorlock and wordiness. You must take notes on everything she says or you risk failing. Half of the questions I never know if she is trying to trick us by wording it weird or if it is a grammar mistake (which there is a lot of).

I was going to double major in nutri sci, but she ruined it for me. I can't stand the subject now. Read all the other reviews.

The information in the class is really interesting and applicable in real life, which is a shame because Yirong made the class such a time consuming chore, and really painful the entire way.
