A slight bit sleep-inducing, but he's kind, helpful, and clear. The class material is straight book-reading, and tests are incredibly easy. Even if the class was hard, I'd recommend him, because he's totally chill and he knows the material.

This man needs to learn to put all his lecture notes on the board, because it's hard to follow anything. Also, this might give him a chance to learn how to write better. Tests were essay, but he was flexible if your asked.

Wears the same kaki pants and shirt everyweek. Boring but your always done early, like 40 minutes early out of a hour and 20 minute class. can use your group for everything. Wouldnt recomend him though.

Easy grader, but the class is SO boring!! He talks really slow and just dictates the whole 3 hours. Bring a book or a pillow, and bs through the tests and you'll do fine. And yes, he does wear the same salmon colored shirt and khaki pants every week.

As long as you go to class pretty often you will understand everything since he knows what hes talking about. You ALWAYS get out really early. Tests are open book, notes, and pre-test. He is really leaniant with assignments. Good guy.

he is the most coolest professor i ever had at scsu. beside.. he's a hot asian man around campus too. So if you're thinking about taking any religion class, then you should go for him, Dr. Zheng.

Easy class nice teacher, explains everything clearly until you understand it, the test are easy because it's open-book, notes, and it relates to the pre-test, not like other classes, if you attend every day it's an easy A. his a great guy to talk with very understandful if you miss a class.

He is awesome. He grades on a curve, and he adds bonus pints to the tests for no reason. He is sort of a waste of time but you get an easy "A". If you want that take this class!!!!

This class is very easy. Tests are open book and open note. He explains the topics very well, but it can get boring. Class ALWAYS gets out early. I never stayed the entire class period all semester, even on test days. He also gives extra credit assignments. Homework can be done in groups. So easy.

Easy class with a great teacher. He's very kind, helpful, and always takes time to answer questions. The 3 hour-long night class tends to get a bit long, but he usually let us out early. A few tests, a group presentation, and a paper is all that is required for the class. I learned a lot!

This class was really easy. In class group assignments and only 4 assignments outside of class the entire semester. Hard to understand, his voice does not carry and should pronounce english better. The subjects we went over no one cared to know or understand, Pointless and boring!!Easy Credits.

I took this via Continuing Studies and was unable to communicate with the professor the entire period. He never published my grades, for any tests, until AFTER the final exam. I was unsure if I had passed or not. Do NOT take this class via continuing studies.

Extremely clear on concepts, maybe too clear for some peoples taste. Lectures consist of discussing topics in great depth. He keeps the class very well directed and is very open to class participation. He is also very interesting. Take any course you can with him.

pretty easy class get to cheat on the tests really easy to do. doesnt say anything at all when the whole class is talking. Not to much homework. doesnt want to be there anymore than you do so he makes it fast. i would take this class again. good****

Very easy, open book tests, explains all concepts very thoroughly. I took it as a night class but we were able to do group homework and get it done in class and still get out an hour early. Absolutely no out of class work. He is always up there to help if you need it. Very nice guy.

Rarely used the book (even though I read), just his lectures. Test're open-book, but they're DIFFICULT. They deal more with homework -- I didn't get mine back for a long time, so I didn't know I didn't understand the material until my test score. Willing to help, but even that didn't save my grade.

Good teacher. Super easy class... any slakers, take Phil 194 from him. Your tests are open notes.. and open partner.. lol.. he doesn't even notice if you're talking on your cell phone during a test. Totaly easy to get an A! You dont' have to really even stay for most of the class, which are only about an hour long, even thought it was a night class

This class is hard, I don't know what these people are talking about. It's open notebook and book and I still got a D- ... I hated this class .. my friends recommended me to retake it with Steup or Swank .. try them instead of Zheng

Easy A! He gave a very systematic and clear notes. No quizzes and no final exam. Homeworks could be done in groups. All exams were open book and similar to the practice tests. Very recommended!

No offense, but if you show up to class and do 20 minutes of reading once a week before class and copy down the answers on the practice test that he gives you the answer to (almost the same as the real test and you can use it to help on the real test)... if you do those simple things i dont know how you could possibly not get an A. Minimal effort.

I thought this class was so hard....the material was so hard to understand, i walked out of this class with the biggest head ache everytime i went. The professor was cool as hell and we got to work in groups and have open book open note tests, but it doesn't do any good if you don't understand how to actually figure out the material.

this class is really easy to pass, however, if you take the night class, be aware that he will lecture for three hours straight. he is a nice teacher and very knowlegeable, and would probably be better suited teaching a higher level class with more difficulty. i really liked him, but i am a huge nerd and really enjoyed the topic.

When you take the night class, it says 5-8, but really you stay at the lastest until about 6:30-7. Each test is open book and whatever notes you took in class. The material is incredibly easy if you just pay attention to him. If you're going to sit and just chat with friends, don't take it... you won't make it.

If you go to this class, the only way to have fun is to count how many times he tries to say "three" you'll get a kick out of it.. but you prob. won't understand any of his lectures that put you to sleep.. can't I just have a class where I can understand the professor and they can understand me?! AKA Does anyone know english anymore?!

easy class... take the night class you are never there the whole time .. lectures for about and hour then you do your homework in a group and leave. tests can be confusing but it you give at least a little effort in the class you will be fine

Take the night class you will only be there until 6:30 6:45 at the latest, your out almost a hour early getting out. Easy class pay attention. If you dont show up you will get confused recomend to be in class when he goes over the 6.0 sections.Tests are all open book open note. You get a pretest that he gives the answers to and you can use that too

First of all, whoever was making fun of how Zheng pronounches the word "three" is an insensitive prick. He can speak English, he just has an accent. Second of all, this class is fairly easy and attendance isn't really necessary except for the day before the test- he usually gives you the answers to all the questions.

He is a really nice professor, but he can be hard to understand because of his acent. The class was very easy and semi interesting. This is my 2nd class with him and if you don't get an A in his classes you shouldn't be in college.

Super easy class and a good professor. Yes, he has an accent...get used to it. If you don't understand something just ask for clarification and he will do it. One paper, a group presentation, and 3 or 4 exams.

This class is so easy and the professor is cool as anything! =) The tests are easy, hes easy, its great. And you dont have to go to class! Ever..... I studied for the tests and ended up with an A. Take it! And I totally agree with whoever said that if you dont get an A in this class, you shouldnt be in college.

Learning from a person like Professor Zheng is an honor. The depth of his upper level classes is exceptional and you are shorting yourself if you do not attend class or care not to engage in the material. Great guy and great understanding of what it means to be.

Easiest class ever, however if you want to learn in depth about critical reasoning don't take his course. Open book/note exams, in-class homework. If you have an otherwise demanding college course schedule and just need to get this class out of the way, I strongly encourage taking it with Zheng. Don't make fun of his 3's too much; he does try :)

This is probably the easiest night class you will ever have. You are always done by 6:45 & you do all homework in class with partners of your choice. The tests are open book, open note, & open partner! haha the tests were kinda hard and you should study for them. Overall I would take this class with him bc overall its really easy.

More than likely the easiest philosophy teacher possible. Great sense of humor and very understanding. Flexible with grades and allows groups for all assignments. Open book open notes for every test. Never kept us the full length. Awesome teacher!

Very good professor. He makes a hard subject very easy to understand. Just make sure you attend class and take notes they are very helpful for his open book, open note exams.

This is a very easy class to take as a night class. Class was supposed to be 5-8 and we were always out no later than 6:30. Assignments are done as a group, and tests are open book open note. I didn't buy the book and wouldn't recommend it either it would be a waist of money.

This is a super easy class, and the prof is nice, but I'm not very crazy about his teaching style. It's supposed to be a "World Religions" class, but he only teaches Eastern Asian religions. Don't waste your money on the textbook. You can get most of the into from lectures and Wikipedia. He lets you use a note card for tests.

The material in this class is so hard to understand, but it is impossible not to pass because you get to use all your notes on the tests. I didn't buy the book and am glad because all you need to know are in the notes you take in lecture. The course sucks, but he is the best Prof to take for it.

Great class to take. He let us out an hour and a half early EVERY TIME WE HAD CLASS. He is hard to understand at times but really good to explain himself when you have a question. Take this class.

Open book, open note tests. This is my second time taking this class, and even though he's hard to understand sometimes he teaches it MUCH better than others! Homework is done in class, in groups. NO FINAL! I highly recommend!!!

He tells you exactly whats on the test the day before. You review before the test. You get to use a note card with the test. 1 paper and 1 presentation. This class is so easy, Yiewi is awesome.

Easiest class ever! The first time I took this class I got a D with a different professor. Everything is open book open note. Honestly, it would be hard to fail this class. He gives you a practice test that you can use on your test. Also, he gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities. ake him and you will get an A.

Fantastic professor! Easiest class. Had him for a night class, we always finished in an hour and half AT MOST. Can use books, notes, and practice test on the actual test. No homework ever. No outside work required. Highly recommended!

He is a very nice teacher but makes class very dull. He takes forever to explain the simplest things. His accent is kind of hard to understand. You will not do good on the tests unless you attend and listen in class. All homework is done in class in groups. Pretty easy grader. Reccommend not taking this as a night class. Overall a good professor.

Took this back in '06. I remember falling asleep once. I woke up 10 minutes to the end of class and saw everyone working on a truth table. I quickly scribbled something down and handed it in before leaving, with drool on my shoulder. I don't know anything about truth tables. It shouldn't be an auditorium class if they intend you to learn. A-

Easy A. Took as a night class. Lectures for 40-50 minutes, then you do an in-class (in groups) assignment and go home. Minimal effort required. Class said it was from 5-745 and we usually got out 615. Gave test study guide that was extremely similar to actual test. Tests were easy if you attend class. Take him if you don't care about philosophy.

This class is beyond easy with this prof. Take this class if you don't want to take philosophy, no studying involved. Everything is done in class and we get out around 30 min-1 hr early every day. Easy A, he explains well too

This class was so easy with this professor. His study guide questions are straight from the book and are put in his test with all the answers in the book the concept of everything may be hard to understand but you are also allowed to use a full sheet of paper on every tests such an easy A

Very easy. Either you get it or you don't. You can cheat on test(bring a full sheet of paper.) Drops your lowest half on almost every assignment/test. final is 1% of your grade. Choose this guy. *2013

Easy A for sure. You can use a notecard on the test and the professor tells you exactly what he I putting on the test, so if you put that in the notecard you're golden. Every Thursday you have a homework day in class, and he counts only 5 out of the 10 homework assignments you do. I recommend him for PHIL 194

Very easy course. Three tests, a final which is worth 1% of the grade, and the top 5 out of 10 homework's are graded. And the homework assignments are done in class with others that you choose to work with, or you can do them by yourself. Learned some interesting course material, and attendance was not required. Accepted arranged makeup work.

If you actually want to learn, don't take this class with this professor. You do homework in class but it is usually very hard and confusing. And the tests are hard but you do get to use a notecard. He makes things confusing and and he is hard to follow.

Very much a concept class, either you understand what is being taught or not. Not an engaging class as a lecture hall, he will help you if you ask, but the lectures themselves only provide some clarity. Very little to no work outside of class.

He is a great teacher. Started out confusing but got super easy. There are only 3 exams and no final. On each exam you get a notecard. Pretty easy definitely take with this teacher!

Only four tests, which are MAJOR tests. No final, and the tests are hard if you don't study. His voice/accent makes it kind of confusing but you get used to it. On Tuesdays, it's a 30-45 minute lecture, then on thursday its homework, which you can either ask him for help (get the answer) or get help from your friends (if you have any).

Pretty easy course. 3 exams and 8 in class homework assignments (only 5 of them count). Not much material actually taught in this class. Professor is helpful and can answer questions students may have.
