extra credit quite often, weekly quizzes that weren't really that hard. he was a really funny and super friendly to everyone in class. one final paper, but nothing much. he changed how the class worked half way though with student feedback in mind. He really made political science a fun class. Text book in mandatory but I personally didn't use it.

Yoav is a very casual professor who is very laid back. He actively tells us that he is an easy grader and he is very honest, however, the work itself does require a bit more care and effort than a lot of other classes you might be used to if you haven't taken an IR class before. Finds great interest in what he teaches and presents situations in a very unbiased manner. The weekly reading is very manageable and the quizzes are straightforward. Extra credit opportunities spring up like mushrooms (we had a chance at maybe 70 points worth of EC this quarter). Yoav is quite laid back but rather timid at times.

Yoav is a really good teacher and is very understanding. He understands people have lives outside of school so he is very nice about late work. He makes lectures fun and is very clear about what we are doing that week and when things are due. Highly recommend him.

Yoav is amazing, I would never take this course with anyone else. He is suuper nice, funny and relatable. There are quizzes about every week, with epecancy to read a chapter a week, and a disscusion on a video a week as well. There is some work but its not that bad, he is always looking for ways to help you out.

Yoav is so effortlessly funny and made learning civics fun! Study your notes, read the chapters (yes you need the book!) and you will do great on midterms. One thing is he makes you do a current events presentation, which is anxiety filling but short and you get full points easily for following the criteria.

One of the best professors I've had! Lectures are thorough, assignments are fair and he's very passionate about what he does. Very accessible outside of class. There is one big essay but you have the whole quarter to do it and he can you with it. The exams are pretty hard, but if you study and have the book you should be fine. HIGHLY recommend!!

Great Professor! You don't exactly have to show up to class to do well on tests/quizzes but he does take attendance and puts in a attendance grade at the end of the quarter. Overall, just lecture heavy but easy tests. If you show up to every class you should have no problem passing. Also, pretty easy grader. Responds to emails very quickly.

I loved his lectures! Most quizzes were more based off lecture than the readings, but readings help for better understanding!! I had Yoav for American Government online and thought his class was fairly easy to pass. Each week you have discussions due Thursday night with 2 responses due by Saturday night. There are quizzes and video responses some weeks, but not all, due on Sunday night. I never read the book and still passed the class because everything is open noted.

There's a quiz each week with 2 short answer questions-everything is related to lecture, the textbook is a supplement which can guide your study. Lectures can be long (1.5+ hours) but take the time to take good notes, it will help with your study. Don't procrastinate and you'll be fine! Take advantage of any extra credit opportunities and ask qs!

Professor Yoav is awesome! Youll love his online class. There is a discussion every thursday, quiz based on lecture on sunday, and video response due on sunday too. Yoav is very passionate, but I found his lectures boring as it was mostly a repeat of the textbook. He offers a few extra credit opportunities, and is willing to change scores if the whole class struggled with a test. There is one 5 page paper, with vague instructions. I took the class for my civics requirement with no expectations and it was one of the best class I have had at GRC. We had a quiz and discussion every week, which are fine if you watch the lectures and do some reading. The position paper was pretty easy and he made the final optional because of COVID. Gave out 16 extra credit in the fall quarter, and it helped a lot. Gives out weekly quizzes based on the week's readings and lecture. One midterm and one optional final. The readings can be a lot in addition to the lecture; however, they're all manageable. Towards the end of the quarter, he will give out one APA five-page position paper.

I took the Arab Israeli conflict class with Yoav randomly and it was the best class I took at GRC. I knew nothing about Israel or Palestine but he explains everything really well and helps when you need and is really nice. this class was okay for me. i really dislike watching lectures, and he put weekly lectures that was an hour long. there is weekly quizzes and discussions, which is pretty simple. if you do pretty bad on a quiz he will add points to have the class at an average percentage which is really nice! he offers plenty of extra credit too.

Homework is well balanced each week: 2, 1hr long lectures (I watched at 2x speed), discussion, & short, open book quiz. The mid/final exam questions are provided beforehand. There are also 3, 3.5 page country reports. Very interesting class! Discussions based on readings and videos that are examples of the week's topic which helps solidate info.

Professor Duman is great. Took IR and comparative government with him and both were really fun classes. He is very caring and understanding and helps you if you need. The assignments were reasonable and he was not a tough grader. His lectures were very interesting and easy to understand.

Really great political science class. Every week, there was 1 lecture from 1-3 hours long, a quiz, and discussion post with responses, which was very manageable. He really cares for his students, and gave us off Thanksgiving week and gave people the option of not taking the final exam because of how stressful everything in the world has been.

I actually kind of miss his lectures, they were very clear and informative, as well as interesting. he is a very clear and fair grader and is very caring. Im planning on taking another class of his in a year and Im already excited. The work is very manageable and as long as you do it, the homework/tests will be extremely easy.

We had a few lectures and readings per week and then a discussion post on that material as well as a quiz. The quizzes are open notes, so take good notes on the lectures. The tests are closed notes but aren't hard. He lets you know what written questions will be on it beforehand so you can prepare. He also gives lots of extra credit.

This is my 3rd class with him. Really nice guy always willing to help. Must take good notes because they really help on the quizzes. Lectures can get tedious as every week there is about 2 hours worth of video to watch. As long as you stay on top of your work every week you will pass just fine. Overall pols 202 is an easy class for running start students. Sometimes its kinda difficult to understand what he is trying to say during lecture. The workload is not much just watching lecture and discussion. If you stay on top of it, its not bad. I was able to do it all on the weekends just fine

I took this class Winter 22. Overall was very fun. Quizzes were moderately easy as long as you go through all of the material in the modules. Two 1.5 hour lectures and a couple readings weekly. Professor is passionate about subject and makes course material fun to get through!

There is 1 quiz per week, 1 discussion per week w/ peer feedback, then about 2 hour lectures that you NEED to watch and take notes on in order to pass the quizzes. He raises the classes grades a couple of points depending on how low the average is. 2 hour lectures may seem long, but he makes them very interesting. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Professor Duman was a great professor to have this quarter. He gave a lot of extra credit opportunities (3) which really boosted your grade (each one boosted mine by 3-4% each). Duman even made the final optional and gave even more extra credit and canceled a few quizzes! You have to watch the lectures to do well on the quizzes and the exams.

Some of the quiz's that we would take were really easy and the final that we took was straight forward. understanding each unit and being able to tell what the main topics and issues were in those categories helped me get that A.

I am an RS student and glad I took this class. Dr. Duman is VERY easygoing. He accepts late work (within a period of time). Lots of extra credit opportunities are available after the midterm. The final is optional! I literally have over 100%. Weekly quizzes are based on lectures. No confusing directions. Make sure to read the syllabus thoroughly!

I would completely recommend Yoav's Int. Relations course, as well as his Comp. Gov course! These 2 courses have helped me become a critical thinker when it comes to politics and has expanded my worldview exponentially. Duman really knows a lot about political science and he gives you everything you need to succeed. The lectures are long sometimes but are interesting and easy to watch. He is also nice and will meet with you on Zoom to help you if you need. Easy class if you watch the lectures.

Great professor! Each week there are 2 lectures, 60-90 minutes long, which are quite interesting. There is a weekly 12-question multiple choice quiz from the lectures and 2 short answer questions from news articles. He is a very generous grader as long as you complete assignments. Answers emails very quickly. I highly recommend taking him!

Great professor took him online, has lectures and assignments, with small quizzes but gives a lot of extra credit and class is easy if you spend a little time on it.

He decided to make the final optional and gives us all 15 extra credit points because students expressed stress from other finals. His lectures were super interesting and genuinely cares about students learning. He allows a day for late work with no penalty. Discussion and one open notes quiz per week. I would recommend taking him!

Do not plagiarize. Read all the materials. Watch all the lectures, and watch it on 2x speed. Do the assignment based on the instruction. Be PRO Active, if you're not satisfied with your grade make an office hours with him and talk about it. I initially got a GPA below 3.5, but he let me retake the midterm exam because I was pro active.

Amazing, understanding teacher! You have about 2 lectures, a discussion board, and a quiz (that's timed) as your work and that's it. I loved his class and his lectures are to the point and informative. There isn't a lot of extra credit, but he's very understanding. I loved his class. It's relatively easy. Final is a research paper and it was fun.

This Professor is awesome, he's chill with the students and if you ask him for an extension he is understanding and will probably give it to you. Although there were lectures every week they weren't necessary to watch but were beneficial, his grading is easy and straight forward. Yoav is the sweetest, most adorable, and knowledgeable prof. Tho his class is online, his lecture videos ARE AMAZING. Take the time to watch them every week and you'll be perfectly caught up. Answers all questions and is very understanding if you have a conflict. The two newsletter articles every week on the quizzes are very short and digestible.

Amazing teacher

Seems like a fun guy! I only saw him twice since it was an online class, but he seems super chill. Class was two hours (1 on 2x speed) of lecture plus some reading per week with a quiz, that's it. A midterm and final, both some multiple choice and written response. Super easy grader, passed with a 4.0 easily. Lectures made the material interesting!

Yoav is great! His assignments are hard to understand if you didn't watch the lectures or read any of the articles he assigned. His quizzes are timed and watching the lectures for it is A BIG NEED. His lectures are boring at times and hard to understand but taking notes makes it so so you get more engaged.

Yoav's great. He's quick to reply to emails and extremely understanding about life out of school. While he's a great person, the way he teaches was not my fav. 2 lectures every week averaging about 3ish hours total, weekly quizzes, and chatbots. Again, not a hard class but time consuming. I wish he would've spent more time lecturing than projects.

Super chill and pretty funny! Lecture-heavy (honestly, if you watch the online lectures, you'll pass the tests and exams). He's very knowledgeable on anything regarding POLS, if you ask a question he can help! Has extra credit opportunities, I recommend using that to your advantage! The chat bots are okay, just time consuming.

The best and most funny professor at green river. this class was actually fun. The bots helped me understand stuff and the simulations were interactive and not boring. He was very understanding and helpful. A LOT of extra credit

Yoav is passionate, kind and humorous - lectures were a little bit long but usually entertaining. Only graded based on weekly quizzes, as well as the midterm and final. Offered a lot of extra credit and was great during office hours. He is also very understanding and human. He's also quite the character; he has many exciting interests and hobbies.

Had his comp gov class online, but he barely assigned anything with only weekly quizzes, a bot assignment, and occasional extra credit opportunities. Lectures were interesting and you could tell he cared about what was being presented. Wish I took him in person cause he seems very chill.

Very chill guy, his voice is a little annoying after a lot of lectures but you can tell he cares about this subject a lot. The subject is pretty interesting and his assignments are pretty immersive
