Y does it matter that he has an accent? He knos hes a lil hard 2 understand himself so he makes sure everything he says is written on his lessons. It was a nice n easy class--easy A n no stress-- exactly how a core class is supposed to b. Take his class--he's easy, very nice, and helpful. Loved him!

YOU MUST TAKE THIS CLASS...Very easy A...tests come straight from the notes and he basically gives you the answers...has an accent, so sometimes he may seem unclear but he is still the man...two tests, final and a paper...show up the all his classes and say something and you're good to go

he was by far the easiest teacher I have ever had, and you get used to the accent after awhile. its pretty funny actually. definately take this class its an easy A.

he is really really easy, I bought the book and never used it, basically all that you need to do is study the notes before the test and you are set.

first off, i agree he speaks very broken english & a lot of people don't understand him, but unless you can't read there is no excuse for getting a bad grade on the test. all the notes are in powerpoint and pretty self explanatory. his tests are average but its important to take notes and come to class.

This is a free A. You don;t even need his dumb power point notes. All you have to do is read the textbooks and highlight his notes in the text and he'll even give you the answers. Excellent professor for freshmen. If all professors were like this I'd have a 4.0 GPA by now.

This guy is awesome. He's really funny, sometimes a bit hard to understand but its not that bad. He tells you whats gonna be on the test almost exactly and is fair with his grades. He is a brilliant professor take him for 1000C coz he knows your not a science major and is fair because of that

He's greaaat & soo funny. He has a thick accent but his class is,nonetheless, verry entertaining even if you don't like bio because you actually LEARN. If he sees some effort from you, he will give you a good grade. In fact, he even said that he won't give anyone less than a C!! TAKE HIM!!!

To put it simply..one of the best if not the best proffesor ive had..When people says hes a little hard to understand..hes not all that bad ive had much much worse..this guy is so funny..hes hilarious..he has kids like us in science programs so he empathizes with us..very easy.wants the class to get A's.would be wise to go out of ur way to take him

very kind but wants everyone to learn in order to do well. He has a passion for teaching and his powerpoints are amazing since he spends a lot of time editing them. one thing: he's a sweet man, so dont take advantage of him.

such a sweet guy!! he really wants every one to pass his course. powerpoint are soooo helpfulcuz he color codes and evfen gives extra credit if you show up to class sometimes. great professor!!

Dr. Joseph is an extensively nice man whose goal is to have his students perform well in college. He will provide a lot of help for the examinations, and attendance will get you extra points towards the overall grade. You must read the Biology book to understand the concepts; just reviewing his slides will not help as much. Know it all and do well.

All he does in class is read off his slides but hes a really nice guy. Go to class b/c he gives out test questions. If you study his slides it should be an easy A.

Very simple class. Sends you all the slides, if you go to class you get more than half the test questions given to you and the rest hell tell you what slides to study. Tests are taken on your laptop. Really nice guy, keeps me awake with his jokes

Dr. Joseph is awesome! He actually cares about his students and wants us all to do well. He adds in a great sense of humor and makes the class go by so fast. Definitely take his class if you want an A. If you actually study you will do well!!!

He is funny, I'll give him that. Tests are tough, you do need to study. He is not the most competent professor I've ever had- on the first day alone, he taught two things that were clearly wrong. When in doubt, check the textbook, he's probably wrong.

This guy is awesome. He tries to help everyone out as much as he can tells you to study certain things and not everything. Hes not easy to the point that you dont need to study and you will get A. Put the little effort you need to in the class (take notes, read the section he tells you, etc) and you will be fine. Lets you out early some days.

He is amazingly sweet. He tries so hard to help his students. The course really wasn't hard, but you still need to study if you want an A, which is fair. Anyways, class isn't bad cause he makes jokes.

This guy is really an amazinggg professor! His lectures are very interesting and you kinda WANT to go to class. He is caring and will help you out if he remembers you as hardworking. Speak up in class and dont miss any lectures. His tests are hard, but not horrific. Study.

You must go to class! He gives you exam questions during lecture. Write them down! Tells you exactly what to study for the test, which sections to skip in the textbook, and which slides to not bother studying. Read the textbook, go to class, listen to what he has to say, study before a test and you should get an A. He's pretty funny too.

He is extremely funny and interesting so always come to class and you must take notes because he tells you exactly what to study and what questions will be on the test! He may make the test seem easy but be on your guard, the tests are hard but you must study all the slides and questions in the back of the chapter, plus the online website animation

Took Dr. Josephn for BIO 2000 & loved him so much I took him for 3000 as well. His tests are hard and cover many chapters with A LOT of detail but he really prepares u for the tests that u will encounter in a&p1&2,u will find that the study skills you obtain from his class are very helpful!You will learn a lot from him! I got an A in both classes

UMM YEA. hes a cool guy but why do we all come to school if you want everything easy? I think hes a good prof hes just looking out for us.

He's a very chill guy - don't think that just cause he's chill you'll pass the class without studying. His tests are hard, but if you study what he tells you too, it shouldn't be too bad

Do the work, read the powerpoints, read the textbook, and attend class and you will do well. His class is interesting and his lectures keep you interested and awake, but his exams are difficult. At times, the exam questions seem to be from nowhere.

His 1st test was mad easy since he gave us 8 questions on the exam and went over 50 questions one by one pointing out what to study. 2nd test and final was different however. they were much more difficult but if you study his slides well, you will be able to answer all except for couple questions that come out from nowhere. better than baxt!

I really enjoyed Joseph's class. He is a funny guy and keeps everybody entertained, even if you would rather be somewhere else. You have to study really hard, but it is biochemistry. His tests are no joke but he cares about how people do and tries to help. I would definitely recommend him.

2 tests and a final, he gives you questions that he puts on the test during the lecture. I really enjoyed the class. If you wanna learn take this class, also the tests are very fair.

Extremely helpful professor, just complicated material. Lets you know exactly whats gonna be on the exam ahead of time. DO THE ONLINE HOMEWORK, it counts as extra credit!

I mean its biochem, you have to study. Even though his notes have some fill in the blanks to make you go to class, I only used his notes to study and got an A. I bought the book anyway bc I heard ahead of time that his tests aren't easy. Do the homework and you'll be fine. Plus, he's funny.

Great professor but you have to go to class to get the grade, or else you won't get all the notes. 2 exams and a final and he drops the lowest grade, sit in the front he has a bit of an accent

Recommended for such a hard subject. He doesn't like to see his students fail. Does not take attendance but I missed notes when I missed class

Amazing, hilarious, helpful, fun and engaging teacher! Actually teaches you the important topics and doesn't even bother with the textbook, YOU DONT NEED TO BUY IT! Gives you about 13 of the answers to the tests. Only thing is his accent but does not inhibit his teaching. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

He's super funny during his lectures, you won't fall asleep. He also tries his very best to give you an A so as long as you do your part in studying, you'll do great in his class. For the final, he gives you a majority of the questions beforehand, so all you need to do is study those. Great professor.

Loved this guy! grading was pretty simple 30% 1st and 2nd test 40% final. gives extra credit worth up to 5 points on your final grade. Hilarious!! Never felt like falling asleep in class. ended class in a n hour almost all of the time. don't need to buy the txt book just go through his slides and take notes when he tells you and you will get an A

Ok, I am going to give my totally honest opinion here. I did pretty well in the class, so I'm not biased. He IS a funny guy . However when it comes to teaching, not the greatest. His tests are NOT easy, and if you just study his lectures, you will maybe get a 50%. He gives extra credit, so make sure you do masteringbio.

Had him for BIO2000 as well. He basically reads of the Powerpoints and anything on the Powerpoint is fair game for the tests. If you come to class, he sometimes tells you specific questions that will be on the test. Usually has 3 tests. Gives extra credit through online homework. Tests can be hard but they're manageable if you study well.

Attendance might not be mandatory but he does give extra information that's not in his powerpoints, it can show up on tests. He also eliminates some information from his powerpoints. go to class so you don't study anything extra. His tests are always straight from lecture.

I have never taken Bio in my life because I took it in middle school. I knew nothing, but seriously he makes it so easy. He gives the answers to questions in class. The exams are all from slides. It's just too easy!!!

He's not hard, he gives you advice on what to study in his lectures. He told us what the test questions would be in lecture. However, he also took questions from our homework quizzes so study them too. The Final is cumulative and covers a lot. The second exam was the hardest. Homework was for extra credit, a max of 5 pts on top of your total grade.

He's the best professor EVERRRR! I had him for BIO2000 and 3000 and he was so easy and fair. If you just read his powerpoints, you'll definitely get an A. Don't listen to the other kids on here, seriously. This guy is amazing.

I love this professor, probably my favorite one ever. He is so funny and I finally was able to clearly understand biology. He is clear and to the point about what he wants his students to know for the exams. Take him!!!!

I only showed up to the first day of class and I got an A in the class. Be on top with your studying and the connect HW. Memorize every slide because his exams are very specific. Very easy class if you study plus the connect quizzes are extra credit. Only show up to class during exam days and he is very bad at replying back to emails.

I was lucky enough to have Dr. Joseph for Bio2000 and Bio3000 and I can honestly say that he's one of the best teachers in St. John's. Hilarious, easy, straightforward and pro-student, there's nothing to complain when it comes to him. I'd take him for Bio class because he's that good.

Very good teacher but really makes you work for a good grade. If you want an easy A, dont take him. but if you want to really understand the material he is a really good teacher.

My favorite teacher at St. John's so far. He made the class enjoyable and easy to understand. He gives some exam questions in class. 2 midterms, multiple choice, basic knowledge. He really wants his students to succeed. Take him if you have a chance!!

He tells you what questions he'll ask in the exam so go to class. The hw is mastering chem but its an easy 10% increase. Biochemistry isn't an easy subject but he helps a lot, exams are based exactly on his ppts. I'd watch videos first and then read his ppts to memorize pathways.
