Excellent instructor who is never bookish. She knows her stuff very well and likes essays for tests. If she teaches GOVT 2302, take it!

i THINK THIS TEACHER IS GREAT. YOU GO TO CLASS, YOU TAKE NOTES AND YOU STUDY HER REVIEW, THEN YOU GET AN "A" IT'S THAT EASY.

This teacher is very UNFAIR. I studied and would constantly keep in touch with her only to get a "B". This teacher does not appreciate the time and effort you put in her class. I don't think any A's exist in her class. I think the highest grade she gives is a B, which is unfair for those who try alot.

she is a very nice teacher. her reviews are similar to the exam and there are only 2 exams. you just have to make copies of her notes and study

She is the best, she is very helpful,. You don't need to buy a book. All the notes are on distance learning so you just need to listen and study for the exam. You just take two exams the midterm and the Final.

I really enjoyed this professor. There were only 2 exams, but were exactly the same as her reviews. Memorize the reviews and you've got a sure A. I would definitely recommend her!

Professor Hake was a fantastic instructor. She was helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. She was opinionated and loved debates. Her exams were based on lectures. As long as you did your study guide... and attending lectures... you were sure to due well in the class. I loved it. I took 2301 & 2302 with her. Learned alot.

this teacher was great. I took her for Gov't I and II and earned an A in both classes. if you do all her assignments and study her reviews you will pass this class. I highly recommend taking this class.

DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!! She doesn't use the book at all. You can Ace this class if you pretty much memorize the study guide. She talks alot and is funny. ALL THE NOTES ARE ONLINE so dnt bother getting a book you dnt need it. OH the tests have the question and then room to answer. MEMORIZE the answers from the study guide and u'll ace it!

The class was easy! Just pay attention to what she says, study notes and guides and you'll definitely pass. She's funny and has interesting stories to tell. I took a class with her at 7am and she kept me wide awake!

She likes to talk alot about what is going on with politics. But you still learn what she has to teach you for that class.

She is always late besides the first and last day of class. She rambles on a lot and often repeats what she rambles on about. She is outgoing and keeps you interested in the boring topics. But she doesn't know how to keep her mind straight. She is pretty helpful and if you ask her to take a test as a group, she'll let you.

Professor is an awesome instructor. I took her for both GOVT's and passed with A's. The key is to pay attention, do your assignments and study for exams. She gives you all the material needed to pass her class. The class was never boring to me!!! I will always recommend Yolanda Hake for Government!!!!

VERY FUNNY. Pretty decent teacher that does not require alot of time commitment. You will learn alot of things about govt. She is willing to work with you to help promote your grade. Only three major grades that will effect your overall average: Midterm, Research Paper, and Final. If you screw up two of these- you will fail. Make sure you study!

Ms. Hake is a great teacher. She LOVES the subject of government. She motivates students. However, as a student you need to put fourth the effort. She DOES NOT GIVE GRADES...you have to EARN them.

I Liked this professor unlike everyone else. She helped me a lot throughout the course. I personally hate history and Government and all that but she actually made me gain an interest. Yes the most difficult part is the essay but other than that i did pretty good in her lecture and her notes

the work is easy. she's not a phenomenal teacher but she's not horrible. i just don't like some of her comments and her voice is really annoying.

her class was cool, it was one of my favorit classes of the day. shes down to earth and knows her stuff. not super hard, just have to go to class.

She's a good teacher although the only think that was bad was that when she got mad with her husband or with anyone she gives a Quiz just to relax herself meanwhile we got no clue about what we should do there because she just gave the test because she was mad with the world not fare... @_@

Her class is easy! the tests are taken as a class. She also has "amnesty" day close to the end of the semester when you can turn everything in. Easy A

Mrs. Yolanda Hake is a very awesome teacher who makes the class interesting. She will make it worth the time to attend just to hear the lectures. I hate Government period but she helped me to be attracted to it. Special thanks. =)

Shes a pretty good professor. Its a very simple class and you learn a good amount of information. She's very friendly and has a huge personality. She's fun and interesting. She goes off on tangents and she's a huge skeptic but it just makes for a really fun time.

Well her class is an easy A for anyone. Her quizzes you take as a class, for the midterm and final you have to do a study guide and she goes over it in class with exact same questions. She has amnesty day towards the end in which you can turn in any work you never did..pretty much she makes sure you don't fail

I took her class online, and if you don't take this class you're missing out on an Easy A. She reopens all the quizzes for you toward the end of the semester. And gives you until the end of the semester to turn in 3 essay assignments. That's really all you do. TAKE HER CLASS, especially if you're in hs and plan on taking it in the summer!:)

Took her class for summer I,she made it really interesting. Book is a must, study & you wont have a problem. Complete 3 essays part of your grade.

Idk what some of these people are thinking but she is the easiest teacher I have ever had. in her 2301 class she would sometimes even give the answers to the test and also if you are a highschool kid coming out of high school or a person with a low GPA then take this class.

She's ok. Not that interesting but if you want an easy A then take this class. Quizzes are easy as long as you read. I received a B but could've gotten an A if I tried harder.

Quizzes are taken as a class. So if you are looking for an A in the class you better study real hard and lead the class in those quizzes. Quizzes are given before the chapter is done. If youre looking for an easy B or lower you can get away with only studying for the final and midterm. Doesn't post grades and isn't focused. there are pluses though

If you are just coming out of high school or are just lazy then take this class. Just to add you are in college so don't get to used to these teachers like her

She made this class fun and I ended up learning quite a lot from her. Quizzes are taken as a class, and they aren't too difficult. The midterm, on the other hand, was very hard, but she does curve the grades. She provides a study guide for the final, very easy. Take this class, it's very enjoyable, amazing instructor!

Mrs. Hake (rhymes with cake, do NOT pronounce her name wrong!) She's funny and laid back. Clearly knows a lot about government and is able to apply current events to cover historical topics. You will do at least 2 group projects. Quizzes are mostly done as a group (entire class helps each other). Hard to fail, she will help anyway she can.

LOVE Mrs. Hake! Took her for Fed Govt and TX Govt. Strongly recommend. In class quizzes are as a group, if everyone studies, you will pass as a class. Grades midterm and final on a curve. Some essays, but they are not too long and she has clear expectations on everything. Respect her and she will take good care of you!

For Federal government, quizzes are taken together with class, they're fairly easy. Everything is easy EXCEPT the Midterm. The Midterm is challenging but she curves your grade. There are a few essays and extra credit. Its a fun class, but she can surprise you with a quiz so attendance is important.

I would defiantly recommend you take her! Honesty all you have to do is show up. Only two exams given the whole semester but we would get quizzes after every chapter but they're taken as a class. Never have watched movies in college till this class lmao. Easy A literally just show up

MOVIES! + All the quizzes were easy because they would be taken as a class. She would tell us about the quizzes ahead of time and it was the first thing we would do when we got there. BUT if you were late you wouldn't get the quiz at all. NO PHONES. if your phone rings she'll answer it on speaker,or read your texts out loud.

Quizzes are taken as a class which is super helpful. Midterm wasn't that difficult since she gives you a study guide and its up to you to study. She is a harsh grader on the writing assignments (you have a total of 2-3) but if you get a B on them, you should still get an A in the class. If you have an A in the class, you are exempt from the final!

One of the easiest classes I have taken. She gives about 6 quizzes, a midterm, a final, and a essay. Thats all you get graded on and its all easy. She really knows her stuff.

Mrs. Hakes class has been one of the easiest classes ever ever took. Class consists of some really easy quizzes and mid term and final which she gives a really reliable review for, get to watch movies over subject as well, so you're having fun and learning at the same time, very understanding if absent as well

It is a real read your textbook type of class but also she is very engaging in a good way and had great stories. did not attend every lecture but I read my chapters and did my discussions. She is very generous with deadlines. It is a class that you get what you give. If you are looking to not do any work and expect an A this is not for you.

At first, I thought she was going to be tough, but she was not at all. Besides the 4 lockdown tests, she is very easy with only having discussions every week. There is a final exam, but it is not on lockdown.

This course was excellent and very well-organized, making it easy to follow. One of the best features is that she provides the textbook for free, which is incredibly helpful. The class includes discussions, quizzes, and exams, but they're very manageable as long as you complete the assigned readings as instructed.

Professor Hake has a specific teaching style - you'll need to engage with it to do well. The textbook is essential, and unstuckstudy can be helpful for study prep. Attend lectures, do discussions, and you'll learn a lot.
